One week later, Sapnap was there when the doctor took the bandages off of Tommy's wing. They were just like before, pitch-black, glossy, and neat.
"They're so pretty..."
"Thanks, Sap. Pretty and good as new."
"Yes, good as new, but you shouldn't fly for five days," The doctor intervened.
"What? That's not fair. I haven't flown for a week and a half and you're saying I still can't for another five days?"
"It's a safety precaution. It'll pass in the blink of an eye."
"Do you have wings, sir?"
"I- N- No..."
"Then you have no idea that an avian hybrid feels like they're going insane when they can't fly freely."
"I'm sorry, but I can't allow you to fly until five days have passed."
"I don't care. They're fine and I know that. You don't feel what I do and you can't tell me when I can and cannot use my wings. I'm leaving."
