The whole way to the doctor she was chirping like a little bird about different things, mostly about how her designs are somewhat done but sh his struggling with colours
"Lets just go home na, im kay" she said seeing me park at the doctors
"Don't be scared he will not bite you" I said carrying her inside
"Hi do you have an appointment" the receptionist said
"Yes, with mr meheta just tell him Manik is here" I said and she nodded
"Okay right this way" she guided us to the room
"He will be there shortly" the receptionist said and I nodded
"Manik put me down" she wiggled in my arms
"Shhh" I sat her down on the little bed and her eyes widened

"Manik im wearing shorts, fucking Pajama shorts, why didn't you remind me shit shit shit"
"And what's wrong with that, im wearing sweats too" I said sitting down on the chair infant of her

"Shh you look pretty like a little girl who is ready for a pajama party" I chuckled saying it and Nandini pouted looking away
"Hi Manik" the doctor came in
"Hi uncle, this is Nandini my wife"
"You hit the jackpot with such a pretty lady" he teased making me chuckle while Nandini blushed
"That's for sure uncle"
"So what can I do for you beta" he asked looking at nadnini
"My ankle, I was playing in the water and I think its a normal sprain" she said
"Okay let me see" he said and I could the discomfort and pain on her face
"You are right just a minor sprain, the swelling should go down by tom, grab this cream from the reception okay and you should be good" he said
"I can walk around by tom right" Nandini asked
"Of course" he said
"Thanks uncle"
"Take care guys" he said and left
I picked up Nandini carrying her to the car and she had this smirk on her face, I knew exactly why which is why I didnt say anything.
"Stop it"
"I didnt do anything mani, but you cannot stop me from coming to the office tom and ill be okay, even he said its fine"
"I know but"
"Ill make you a deal just because you look so handsome" she said putting her hand on my thigh
"What deal" I asked
"Ill be careful and not run around the office until my ankle is fine"
"You'll work in my cabin" I sad and she nodded
"I can live with that" she chirped
We drove home, I put Nandini on the bed and she laid down with a new ice pack on her ankle, I could tell she was tired.
"Baby dont move okay, im just going to quickly shower"
"Okay" she mumbled closing her eyes
Nandini's pov
He went to shower and I just laid there thinking about the pain, I was just trying to not freak him out but it did hurt a lot, I know its minor but every time I move my leg it hurts.
"So the love birds are back" I heard cabir
"Yes sir come on in" I said and patting the space beside me
"How was it" he asked sitting beside me
"Amazing, I think it was good to get away from the office and open up to him a little"
"I told you he is sweet"
"I know, I love that he accepts everything I said and instead of finding my mistakes he was sorry that I had to go through that, not in a pity way but in a im sorry I wasn't there kind of way" said and cabir caressed my hair
"Does that mean I can stop worrying about you" he asked and I nodded
"He takes really good care of me, umm can I ask you a question"

"What is love" I asked
"Umm well love can be anything, for me love is when I look at navya I notice things about her, everything from her micro-expressions to what she says vs what she means. Its knowing that if you were left alone with that person you could live your whole life without anything and anyone else. You learn to like the flaws thats person has and not just her perfection. Love is never stable nandini, it always has ups and downs, sometimes you feel like killing that person but if anyone even lays a finger to hurt that person it hurts" he explained
"So I am in love with him" I mummbled to myself
"Yes you are, and so is he"
"I said I love you to him because he is the only person I can see myself with no matter what"
"Thats exactly why I said I love you too" I heard Manik's voice

"Nope, we were just talking, navya should be back soon, we can go out" cabir said
"No her ankle is sprained so just order in" Manik said
"Sprained, oh im not even surprised at this point, girl you need to use your legs and those eyes" cabir said making me glare at him
"Traitor" I growled at him
"Well use them seriously I should get a membership of the hospital" he said

"Cabir get out" he said looking up from his laptop
"No, navya is coming to" he said and kissed my head
"What else did you guys do"
"Umm we watched movies, Maine khana banaya the Manik kai liye it was yummy, you missed out cabira" I teased knowing he loves food
"Merai liye much layi tu" he asked laying down beside me
"Mai shopping gayi the par terai liye ni layi, tu motu ho gaya hai na isliye"
"Hawww, ja Kati" he said and navya walked in at the same exact moment
"Hi babies" she said and I patter the other Sid of me where she laid down after hugging Manik
"I missed you navu"
"I missed you too sweetie, I heard it went great and you two bonded" she asked and I nodded
"It was good, how were you" I asked
"We are good" she replied casually
"Did you two have fun"
"Shut up" navya said twisting my ear
"Owwww navya yar" I winced in pain while cabir giggled
"Navya lt go of her ear" Manik said
"I wasn't talking to you, was I Manik" she said twisting it more
"Oww oww navya, bhai say na, manik"
"Navya" manik's tone was firmer this time and she let go of my ear
"My ankle is already hurt and now my ear too huhhh im calling social services" I said rubbing my ear
"Ya call them" she said laying down beside me
"I hate you all, I dont wanna talk anymore" I said closing my eyes
"Stop annoying her" Manik said and I could feel a smile forming on my lips
"Well she is annoying me" navya said
"Then take it outside but quit annoying my wife and I need you three to be quiet, I have an important business call in 5 minutes" he said
"Umm I want brownies" I said and I saw Manik raising his eyebrow at me but I just shrugged my shoulders
He put his laptop down and walked to me, without caring about navya and cabir being there he leaned over me and kissed my forehead
"Don't run around, tell cabir to pick you up or call me, I may take a few" he said and I nodded
"Dont take too long" I said and he nodded kissing my cheek
"All the best"
"Thanks darling" he said and looked at cabir they had an eye to eye conversation and then he left
"Lets watch movies and ill grab some pizza" cabir said and I nodded
We got settled in our bed and I was in the middle, we started watching shadow hunters on netflix while having pizza, I was watching the show but my mind was on Manik
I wanted to have him beside me so I can cuddle with him, even though both navya and cabir were a great company I was craving Manik's touch. The way his fingers traces my stomach or arms when we are watching movies, or when he drops kisses on my head in between movies.
I miss entwining my fingers with his, fucking shit nandini you are so in love, how can you even be in love, its been only a month but jeez he is the only person in my mind, every single second.
"Are you paying attention idiot" I heard navya
"Ya, I am" I said putting the pizza down
The show went on for another few hours, I was watching it but my mind was on Manik, I miss him but I feel like I'm being a little baby if I call him in right now especially when he is working
"Im sleepy, nandini go to sleep" cabir said
"Night guys, thank you for watching the show with me, I loved it" they both smiled
"Night nandu" navya said kissing my head
