(Still Eric's POV)
I woke up this morning just like any other morning. However this time I feel like I have my arms wrapped around something. So I open one eye and I saw Carley in my arms. I tried to get out but she like held on. So I gave up trying. But then I had to use the bathroom really bad so I tried again.
"Carley?" I asked softly
"Hmm?" She asked tired
"I have to use the bathroom" I said
"Then go" She said but sinked lower into my arms
"You're kind of in my arms" I said to her
She jumps out of my arms. "Oh god, I'm so sorry" She said quickly after realizing that she was indeed in my arms
"No problem. I just have to use the bathroom then we can cuddle again. If that's what you want" I said to her
She lays back down and closed her eyes. So I quickly used the bathroom. I did my business then washed my hands because I have OCD. And if my hands aren't clean I freak out. Yes I am a guy who has OCD get over it.
I go back into bed and try to go back to sleep. But it's like I can't so I try to go back to cuddling Carley to see if I could go back to sleep with her in my arms but it's a little hard. Carley jumped up again and screamed.
"Wow, hey. It's just me. Well me again but you get it" I said softly with a chuckle
"Why are your arms around me again?" She asked yawning
"I Um.....nothing never mind" I said and rolled over to my other side not facing Carley cause to be honest that hurt. I thought she liked to cuddle me. She was cuddling me last night.
"Eric....." Carley said in a sweet voice. But I ignore her. "Eric I didn't mean to sound like a bitch " She said leaning on my body, trying to make me turn around to face her
I turn back around to face her and sighed. "It's fine. I just thought cuddling was nice but it's cool if you don't want to" I said to her
"No I do. I like having your arms around me" She said with a smile
"Ohhh. Ok" I said wrapping my arms back around her
We ended up going back to sleep. After another hour I finally woke up for real. I looked at my phone and saw it was 11 in the morning. I start to wipe the tiredness out
"Carley......it's 11 in the morning. We need to wake up" I said to her
"Ok" She said wiping her eyes of the tiredness.
She sits up and stretches her body.
"Do you wanna go take a shower first?" I asked her
"I don't need another shower right now. So you can go" She said
"Alright well I think my Aunt Evie made breakfast. Cause I got like 5 messages each from my brother and cousins" I said
"Oh ok. Then I'll go down" She said getting out of the bed. She stretched again this time standing up.
I looked at her stretching her body. She looked really good. She looks at me. I cough awkwardly then go to the shower
(Carley's POV)
After Eric goes into his bathroom to take a shower. I go downstairs to the gang. Or whats left of everyone who came yesterday. Once I saw my best friend with her boyfriend and twin brother plus Eric's little brother. I go over to them
"What?" I asked them
"You and Eric huh?" Ellie asked. She is my best friend and has been since we were babies
"Me and Eric what?" I asked her
"You know Car" She said
"Eric and I just shared a bed. We didn't want to be with everyone downstairs all over the basement" I said to her
"Speaking of my coz where is he?" Arthur asked me
"In the shower" I said going to get a plate of food
"I already made you a plate Car. And Arthur did a plate for Eric" Ellie said
"Oh thanks El" I said with a smile. "Where is it?" I asked her
"I'll get it. Arthur get up" Ellie said because he was her way
"Ok" He said picking Ellie up and bringing her over to the kitchen
"Arthur!" She said laughing
"I'm helping you babe" He said to her then kissed her on the lips.
He sets her down in the kitchen where I am. Then he goes back over to Alex and James
"Where are the others?" I asked my bestie
"They went home" Ellie said grabbing both plates that they made for Eric and I.
"And they didn't say goodbye to me?" I asked
"Well you were upstairs" She said
"Hmm" I said
"Do you want some coffee?" She asked
"Yes....please" I said smiling at her
"I'll make some since Arthur taught me how to use it" She said going over to the coffee maker. I followed her because I didn't want to sit with the guys. "So you and Eric didn't....." She said
"No Ellie! God. I'm not a slut" I said to her
"That's not what I meant Carley. I meant did you two make out more?" She asked
"Ohhh. No we didn't. I got a shower then went to sleep. But...." I said
"What?" She asked
"He did see something...." I said to her
"What do you mean something?" She asked me
"I mean he saw a glimpse of me....without clothes" I said to her
"Ohhh Carley you naughty girl" She said
"It wasn't on purpose Ellie. I was getting changed and I guess he forget I was there so he just walked in" I said to her quickly
"Hmmm......ok" She said not believing it
"Anyways are we still doing the beach next week with the girls?" I asked her
She hands me a cup of coffee. "The cream and sugar is in the cabinet" She said
"Thanks" I said to her. "But you didn't answer my question" I said to her after taking the coffee over to the counter with the cream and sugar
"Yes. But Arthur asked if it could be a group thing. I guess he wants Eric to feel welcome so when our senior year comes he has a crew to walk in with" She said shrugging
"Oh. Yeah that's fine" I said to her and sipped my coffee
"Well here is your food. The microwave is here and it's really easy. Just choice what time you think it will take to make it hot. But you can always put it in longer if needed" She said
"Yeah" I said then put my food in the microwave. After 2 minutes I take the food out of the microwave and ate the food.
In the middle of eating Ellie left to be with Arthur. But Eric came down after his shower and ate his food with me. We talked about how the gang is gonna go to the beach next week and he said ok.
After having coffee and food Eric and I go out to the living room where Alex, Arthur, James, and Ellie are there
"Ohhh look the happy couple is here" Ellie said joking
I playfully put the finger at her and she does a heart.
That's our friendship we joke with each other but we love each other like sisters
"Wait what?" Eric said
"Nothing. I'll tell you another time" I said putting my hand on his arm
He nods and smiles at me. I'm almost a foot shorter than him so he is looking down at me
"When's the wedding?" Arthur joked
"Haha......" I said taking a pillow. "Very funny" I also said throwing it at Arthur's face
"Hey watch it!" He said after taking the pillow off his face
"Hmm" I said smiling playfully
"Ellie tell your best friend to not throw pillows at my house" He said to his girlfriend
"Ellie, bestie. Please tell your boyfriend that he started it" I said looking at my best friend
"Carley whatever they are talking about. I'm sure they are just doing it to get under your skin" Eric said putting his arm around my waist
I instantly feel comforted and safe. I hug him and smell him
"Did you just....smell me?" He asked with a laugh
"Maybe" I said into his shirt
He continues to laugh and hugs me back
"Alright. Even though this is all very cute. Car you ready to go? Your mom wants you home by 1" Ellie said
"Oh yeah. What time is it now?" I asked her
"12:09 pm" She said
"Crap. I'll be right back with my stuff" I said running upstairs to Eric's room
So the reason why I ran is because my mom wants me to hang out with her boss son. I mean I said yes at first because I didn't have any interest in guys and no interest in getting into a relationship.
However, yesterday changed everything. After meeting Eric well he's the one I would want to get in a relationship with. He's just so amazing and kind. And I've only known him for a day. I can't wait to know him more
After getting my wet bathing suit out of the bathroom after hanging it up to dry last night. I put it in a giant bag (supermarket bag) and went downstairs
"I'm ready El" I said to her
"Alright boys. We'll see you later. Well I will I don't know about Carley. But knowing her she probably wants to see Eric again" She said and winks at Eric
"Shut up El" I said smacking her shoulder
Eric comes over to me and gives me a hug. "I'd like to see you again too Carley" He said to me. I blush. "Here let me give you my number. Or you can give me your number. Which ever makes you happy. And one day this week we can hang out" He said smiling
"Alright yeah that sounds good. Here is my number" I said going on my phone and showing Eric my number. After 2 minutes
"Got it. I'll text you" He said then kissed my cheek
I blush. "Bye Eric" I said
"Bye Carley" He said
"Bye guys" I said to Alex and Arthur
"Bye Carley" They said to me
"Bye babe" Ellie said kissing Arthur. "Bye Alex" She said high fiving Alex
Then we left for my house.
"So why didn't you tell Eric you are gonna hang out with another guy?" Ellie asked while driving
"Cause one Eric and I aren't dating. Do I think he's attractive? Yes I have eyes. But he got dumped 2 months ago and doesn't want a relationship right now. And two I'm not going on a date with this guy. He's just my mom's bosses son. I may not even like him" I said to her
"What if he's hot?" She asked
"Ellie are you trying to start something?" I asked her
"No it's just you and Eric seem like you have something special. Or starting to have something special. I just don't want either of you hurt" She said looking at me while we are at a red light
I nod. She finally gets to my house
"Text me how the date goes" She said as I go out of the car
"Not a date!" I yelled at her
"Love ya Car" She said
I closed the door and did a heart to her
I walked in and saw the guy and his mom there. My mom doesn't look happy
"Oh.....hi" I said to my mom and her boss
"I'm so sorry. This is my daughter Carley" my mom said
"Oh yes. How come you are late?" The boss asked
"Yes sweetie why are you late? Especially when I told you to come home on time" She said in a fake smile
"I Um......Yesterday Ellie, the girls and I went to Arthur Rogers house. And then we all stayed over. But Ellie and I were the last to leave today" I said with a apology voice
"Hmm. Well this is my son. Evan" The boss said pointing to the guy
He was cute but Eric is definitely better looking and he's stronger than Evan too.
"Hi I'm Carley" I said putting my hand out for him
"Hello Carley. It's a pleasure to meet you" He said kissing my hand
I try to not gag because his lips are gross
"So why don't you and Evan go talk while your mom and I talk" The boss said
"Um....ok. Come with me Evan" I said walking in front of him to the living room
We sat on the couch. Well I tried to sit as far away from him as I could. But he comes closer to me. I laugh awkwardly and try to make room open between us again.
"So how Old are you Evan?" I asked him
"18 how about you?" He asked me
"17" I said to him
"Oh cool. Cool" He said
"Do you want to watch tv?" I asked him looking for the remote
"I can think of something more fun" He said leaning in
But I thought quickly and put a pillow on his lips. He looks confused
"Sorry coffee breath" I said covering my mouth
"I don't care" He said trying again
Then I heard the doorbell. "Excuse me" I said and went to the front door. I looked and saw Eric. I started to panic but was happy to see him again. Even though I saw him not even an hour ago.
"Who's there sweetie?" My mom asked me
"A friend. I'll tell them to come back later" I said and closed the front door after walking out.
"Hi" Eric said with a smile
"Um hi.....what are you doing here?" I asked with a smile
"I Um.....got your address from Ellie. Well Ellie gave it to Arthur then Arthur gave it to me. And on the way here I got some flowers" he said showing the roses. Which are my favorite flowers. "I didn't know what flowers you like so I just got roses" He said handing them to me
I smile and smile them. "Thank you Eric. These are my favorite" I said with a smile
Then the front door open and Evan came out. Fuck I forget he was here
"Hi" Evan said to me
"Oh Evan sorry. Um Evan this is my friend Eric. Eric this is my moms bosses son. Evan" I said
"Nice to meet you man" Evan said putting his hand out for Eric to shake
Eric shook his hand. "Nice to meet you two. Um sorry am I interrupting something?" He asked looking at me and Evan
I shook my head No quickly while Evan shakes his head yes
"Uh well Carley I just wanted to make sure you got home safely. I should have just sent you a text. Anyways I have to go back. I'll see you around" Eric said then walked away with his head high
"Nice guy" Evan said
"Yeah he really is" I said looking at him walking away
"And he got you flowers? That's a lot for a friend" Evan said with a laugh
I smile smelling the roses again.
(Eric's POV)
I go back into my car and slam my car door shut. I hit my wheel in annoyance. I turn the car on and told Siri to call Arthur
Once he answers he says what's up
"Dude I didn't know Carley had a boyfriend" I said
"What do you mean? She doesn't have a boyfriend" He said confused
"Well I just went to her house and saw a guy there" I said to him
"Ellie would have told me if she had a boyfriend" He said to me
"He's not good lucking but he looks rich" I said to him
"Well your rich now too. Because my parents took you and your siblings in" he said
"Nah coz. I'm not gonna fight for someone who has a boyfriend" I said driving out of her driveway
"Coz you are better. I'm sure this guy is a douche. And not her boyfriend" He said
"Well if that's the case then I need to hear it from her" I said after 10 minutes talking to Arthur in the car. I parked my car in the aunts and uncle driveway. "Yo I'm here so I'll be inside in a second" I said to him
"Alright see you in a second" He said
I turned off my car and ended the call with Arthur
I locked my car door and went into the house upset
"Coz" Arthur said
I put my hand up and shake my head. Then shook my head again and went to my room.
I watched some shows. Then I got a message from Ellie saying text Carley
I texted her what happened with Carley. So if Carley wants to talk she has to text me first
Then 5 minutes later I get a call from Carley
"Hey. That guy you saw. He wasn't my boyfriend" She said to me on the phone
"Then why were you hanging with him?" I asked her
"It was my moms idea. And this was planned for the last month" She said
"Then why didn't you want to tell me? I mean I kind of made a fool of myself going over to your house. And there was another guy there" I said
"I loved seeing you Eric. Even though I saw you earlier" She said
"How am I supposed to believe that?" I asked her
"I know you got cheated on but I'm not like that Eric. When I like a guy he's the only one who matters to me" she said
I reread that 5 times and sigh
"Sorry. I didn't mean to be a jerk" I said to her
"It's ok. I mean Evan did try to kiss me a few times but I pushed him away. Cause I met a person who I like a lot" She said
"Oh yeah. Do I know the person?" I asked
"Maybe" She said
"Is it me?" I asked almost confidently
"Actually yes" She said
I smile and said
"I like you too Carley. However I already told you I got cheated on and got dumped. So can we go slow?" I asked her
"Yeah. That sounds good" She said
"So how about 2 days from now we go get coffee?" I asked her
"Oh yeah?" She asked me
"Yeah" I said to her
"Sounds good. Are we meeting there or are you gonna pick me up?" She asked me
"I'll pick you up. I was raised to be a gentleman" I said to her
"Well so far you have been the best gentleman" She said
"Thank you" I said to her
"Well I just wanted to tell you that guy wasn't my boyfriend. I wasn't lying when I said I was single" She said
"I mean I don't know you too well yet but I would hope you're an honest person" I said to her
"And I am. I would never lie about my dating life, if I had one" She said
"Got it. Well I'm gonna go eat something. So...I'll talk to you later" I said to her
"Alright. Talk to you later. Bye Eric" Carley said
"Talk to you later Carley" I said then put my phone in the charger.
I walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw my family all there.
"Better coz?" Arthur asked me
"Yeah" I said going to the fridge to get some milk
"We're out of milk" My Aunt Evie said as I was looking
"Oh..." I said closing the fridge door
"But we got you food. Arthur said you were sad so we got your favorite" Michelle said handing me my food
"Wow thanks Chelle" I said hugging my older sister
"No problem E" She said hugging me back
I opened my sushi box and started eating. I smile once I had my first piece. My Aunt and Uncle don't really like sushi all that much so we don't get it always.
"We didn't know what to get. But Michelle said she knew your order" Aunt Evie said
"Yeah well she did get it right. Which I am surprised" I said jokingly
"Haha very funny Eric" She said sarcastically
"Oh you know I love you sis" I said then did a slobbery kiss on her cheek
"Ewww Eric!" She said slapping my face playfully and wiped her cheek
"Hey I am a good kisser" I said offended
"Oh I'm sure. Slobbery at the most" She said still trying to wipe the slobber off
"Oh I don't know cousin. Eric and Ellie's best friend was making out pretty hard last night" Alex said
"Michelle? What does making out mean?" Mikey asked
Then the older family laughs because Mikey is funny
"Um.......you'll find out when you are older Mikey" She said in a nice way
"Yeah Mikey when you're 13 you will love it" James said to our brother
"Shut up James!" The older cousins and family said to him
"Wow I'm just helping my youngest brother" He said putting his hand up
"James he's still young" I said to my younger brother. James is 15 gonna be 16 soon
"So..." He said
"Alright well this talk was fun and all but I'm gonna go eat my sushi in peace now. Thank you again Aunt Evie and Michelle cause I needed this" I said lifting the sushi up with a smile.
"Alright. Don't forget to say goodnight tonight" Aunt Evie said
Yeah so our Aunt still makes us say goodnight to her every night. But last night Arthur's and Alex's friends were over so we didn't have to do it. But honestly I like saying goodnight to my Aunt cause she really cares about us. Not like our parents.
"I will Aunt Evie. I promise" I said then walked upstairs back to my room. I sat on my bed and put on Netflix on the tv.
I started watching Originals. I'm on the 3rd season. My favorite couple has to be Kol and Davina. Kol and Davina became a couple in season 2 but Kol wasn't really himself then. He was a witch named Kaleb. Well he was put into another body by the Mikaelson's mother Ester. Kol's body he was in actually passed in the middle of season 2. Davina tried to get him back ever since he died in that body. But right now where I am in season 3 is where the original Kol (vampire Kol) has returned to Davina.
After watching another episode and finishing my sushi. I go downstairs with the trash and threw it out. I saw my cousins and siblings all watching a movie
"What movie are you guys watching?" I said after being in the kitchen
"Yours, Mine, Ours. You know this movie Eric. We used to watch it all the time" Michelle said
"It's with Drake Bell right?" I asked watching a scene
She nods with a smile
"Well I'm exhausted. So i'm gonna go say goodnight to Aunt Evie then go to sleep" I said yawning
"I wouldn't go up there now Eric" Arthur said
"Why not?" I asked confused
"Cause mom and dad are......" Alex was about to say but I figured it out
"Got it. I don't need to know more" I said holding my hand up. "Well can you tell her that I went to sleep and I tried to say goodnight but she was.....doing something" I said to my cousin
"Of course" Alex said with a smile
"Thanks. Well goodnight family. I love both of the families so much. See you tomorrow" I said
I walked up stairs again this time to do my bed routine. After doing everything I go to sleep dreaming about Carley
