"Pangga, baka ilang gabi ako hindi makauwi dito ha? Nagtext kasi si Ianna na masama daw lagi pakiramdam ni Sinta."
"Hala. Sige sige love. No worries. Just call me if I can be of any help."
Risa hugged Leni.
"Thank you, Pangga. Mamimiss kita. Pwede ka bang ibulsa para kasama pa rin kita?"
"Aysus. Senti-senti nanaman. Mamimiss din kita, love. I'll call you every night na lang before going to bed, okay?"
Risa nodded. "Sige na. Baka malate ka na. Hope to see you soon."
"Ingat ka. Update me always, ha?"
"Yes, my Pangga. Kiss ko?"
Leni smiled and gave Risa a deep kiss.
Later that night, Risa was very excited to call Leni as she laid on bed with Sinta. After a couple of rings, Leni answered.
"Hi, Pangga. I miss you. Kumusta araw mo?"
"The usual, love. How about you? Kumusta si Sinta?"
"I am okay, mama Leni." Sinta answered.
"Oh, you're there pala, anak. Oy, Ris. Baka gusto na magpahinga ni Sinta, ang ingay natin."
"It's okay po. Kanina pa nga po 'to excited si mama na tawagan po kayo, e." Sinta said.
"Uy, walang laglagan anak. Ako mama mo dito." Risa said.
Leni chuckled.
"Anyway, Ris. Ms. Agot Isidro invited me for a dinner two nights from now. Nagkita kasi kami kanina sa Tondo. Volunteer siya sa isang NGO. Can I go?"
"Hindi mo pa siya sinasagot?"
"Hindi pa. Gusto ko ipaalam muna sa'yo. Sabi ko, I'll see."
"Kasama mo staff mo?"
"Hindi na siguro, love. Pero baka pahatid and pasundo na lang ako kay Aiks if you worry about me driving."
"Bakit hindi mo isama si Rona o kaya si Aica?"
"That's beyond working hours na kasi, love. Nahihiya na din ako sa kanila. Mas pagod pa yung mga yun saakin, e. I would be fine, love. Don't worry."
"Hmmm. You sure?"
"Opo. Kung papayagan mo ako."
"Alright. Update mo ako basta lagi."
"Yes, love. Thank you."
"Papahinga kana?"
"Still be working on some papers. Ang tahimik nga dito, e. Wala yung daldalera kong boarder."
"Ha? Sino?"
"Sinta, kilala mo ba yon?" Leni teased.
Sinta giggled. "Andito po ata saamin, mama Leni. Ang ingay-ingay nga po dito kanina pa."
"Alam niyo kayong dalawa talaga. Che! Anyway, Pangga baba ko na muna. I'll just call you back later kapag tulog na 'tong isa kong baby dito."
"Sige. Good night, Sinta. Pagaling ka, ha."
"Good night po, mama Leni."
After less than 30 minutes, Risa called Leni again.
"You're also working, love?"
"Hmm. Just reading and studying. Yeah. Work pa din pala." and she chuckled.
"Nakakabingi talaga katahimikan dito. Mas lalo tuloy kita namimiss."
Risa blushed.
"Andito nga ako sa office ko baka kasi magising si Sinta sa ingay natin. Kayo lang ni manang diyan?"
"Ako lang. Umuwi si manang kanina, e. Nagpaalam. Baka ilang araw din siyang wala. Si Tricia, on duty. Si Aiks naman, nasa labas pa kasama mga kaklase niya dati. I feel so lonely, love."
"Oh. Kawawa naman yang Pangga ko. Nasakto namang wala ako diyan."
"It's okay. Sinta needs you more now. I can wait naman. Tsaka mas okay yung nagpapamiss ka para pagbalik mo..." Leni saying with a smile, but all eyes on the papers.
"Maria Leonor, sa'n nanaman po tayo papunta?"
"Ha? Wala. Wala akong sinasabi, love."
The video call continued as they worked. Around 12 midnight, they both decided to go to bed.
"Sige na, Pangga. Pahinga ka na. Kumain ka bukas bago umalis, ha." Risa whispering as she entered her bedroom.
"Nagtabi na nga lang ako ng ulam from tonight para initin ko nalang bukas. Masyado mo kasi akong sinanay na paggising ko, kakain nalang ako."
Risa giggled.
"Sleep kana, 'ga."
"Need ko nanaman ata ng essential oil para makatulog since wala ka dito. Laki-laki nanaman ng kama ko."
"I'll be home soon, Pangga. I love you."
"I love you, too. Sleep kana din."
And the video call ended.
The next day, Risa received a paper bag with lunch at work.
Later that night, they had a video call again while doing some paperwork at home.
"Bukas kana aalis to meet Ms. Agot di ba?"
"Opo. Why, love?"
"Di ko pala natanong. May ano? Why did she invite you?"
"Oh. It's her birthday."
"Matagal na ba kayo magkakilala personally?"
"Kinda. Madalas kami magmeet sa mga relief operations since volunteer nga siya sa isang NGO. Minsan kasama din sila Ms. Angel Aquino and iba pang mga kasabayan niya sa pag-aartista."
"Ah. So marami-raming artista bukas?"
"Not sure, e. Why love?"
"Wala naman. Mamaya niyan kung sino-sino nanaman dumikit sa'yo dun."
"Oh. Here comes my praning baby damulag again."
"Che. Hindi lang ako praning, nananakit din po ako. Kaya umayos ka dun, ha. Sinasabi ko sa'yo. Aabangan ko talaga mga posts sa social media. Kapag nakita kong masyadong kang dikit sa iba, sinasabi ko sa'yo Leni hindi kita uuwian."
"Ay ano ba yan. E di wag nalang ako pumunta."
"Ah so may balak kang dumikit sa kanila, ganon?"
"Love, wala. Pero hindi naman yon maiiwasan."
"Ah basta. Sinabi ko, sinabi ko."
"Sige. Kapag may dumikit sa'kin, tanungin ko agad kung mahal pa nila buhay nila para lumayo agad."
Risa was almost to laugh but she composed herself.
"Yan. Tama yan. Ang kay Risa, kay Risa lang. Naiintindihan mo, Maria Leonor? Walang bise-bise presidente dito."
"Opo, boss. Naiintindihan ko po."
"Buti na yung malinaw tayo."
Leni couldn't stop herself from smiling. She knows Risa was joking but she also knows she's serious in some way.
The night came and unfortunately Aika couldn't drive for her so she decided to drive herself going to the venue. She didn't tell Risa about it at first but when she got to the venue, she texted her.
Leni was well-welcomed and entertained by Agot and other actresses in the venue. They had some pictures and Leni became too conscious about the distance between her and the actresses. She shook her head and smiled realizing she really took Risa's threats seriously.
Agot sat beside Leni and stayed with her the whole time. They ate dinner and talked ramdom things.
"VP, umiinom ka ba?" Agot asked.
"Konti pero I can't tonight, e. I bring my own car."
"Oh. Don't worry VP. Marami tayong drivers tonight since lahat iinom." Agot laughed.
"Nako. Hindi na. Papasok din kasi ako bukas, e."
"VP, konti lang. Ngayon na nga lang tayo nagkasama na hindi relief goods mga kaharap, e. Pagbigyan mo na ako. Birthday ko naman. Konti lang. Promise. Uuwing ligtas ang vice president ng Pilipinas."
Leni felt shy to decline anymore so she agreed.
"Oh my god! The best ka talaga VP. Maya-maya palabas ko na mga alcohol. Kain muna po tayo."
Around past 9 in the evening, all the guests started to drink.
"Wine lang sa'kin, ha. Magdadrive pa kasi ako."
"Again, mada'am. Don't worry. We have many drivers tonight. Just enjoy the night, okay?"
Leni smiled awkwardly.
Mukhang susuyo nanaman ako neto kay mareng Risa. She thought.
After some time, the music was on and everybody started to dance. Leni already finished three glasses and as not a master in drinking, she felt a little tipsy already.
Wine na nga lang, mukhang tinamaan pa ata ako.
"Mada'am! Tara. Let's dance." Agot pulled Leni and made her dance.
At first, Leni felt shy but feeling the hype, she eventually danced, too.
Agot then gave her a drink.
"What is this?"
"It's only a cocktail VP. Hindi yan nakakalasing. Try it. It's sweet."
Leni tried it and liked the taste so eventually, she had couples of it.
She checked the time on her phone and to her shock, it's already past 10pm and her phone was about to die.
Oh god. Need to go home.
Her eyesight was already a bit blurry for she knew she was already drank.
Patay ka kay Risa, Leonor. She uttered.
"Agot, uwi na ako. Past 10pm na pala."
"Oh. Maaga pa VP. Can you stay more? Kahit 1 hour na lang. Papahatid kita. That's a promise."
"But..."
"Please, VP. I am enjoying your stay."
"Alright. One hour."
"Yey. Thank you talaga VP."
Leni was about to message Risa but unfortunately her phone died already.
So she asked Agot if she could use her phone and she texted Risa.
"Mada'am, inom pa." Agot said.
"Hindi na. Medyo nahihilo na ako, e. Can I sit for a while?"
"Sure sure po."
Leni sat and felt her surrounding rotating. As time went, she felt like she became dizzier even she already stopped drinking.
After quite some time, Agot sat beside her.
"Hatid na po kita?"
"Ha? Hindi ba nakainom ka rin?"
"It's okay po. Kaya ko naman. Ihahatid ko pong buhay ang bise presidente ng Pilipinas."
"Loko. Sure kang kaya mo? Hindi ako tatanggi kasi ako hindi ko na talaga kaya magdrive. Dalawa na nga pagtingin ko sa'yo." and she laughed.
"Opo. Tara na po."
Agot and Leni went down to the parking area. Leni sat and settled herself as Agot prepared to drive.
After she gave her address, Leni laid her head on the head rest and eventually fell asleep.
At Risa's home, Risa was already really worried because it's almost midnight but Leni was not yet updating her if she already got home. She tried calling her but the phone was still off. She also dialed the number Leni used to text her but it was also unreachable.
Diyos ko naman, Leni. Ang usapan alas diyes! Nasa'n ka na ba?
Risa couldn't take the worry she was feeling.
"Anak, I'll be out lang saglit, ha? Si mama mo Leni kasi hindi ko macontact. Anong oras na. Gisingin ko si ate mo Ianna. Patabihan kita dito, okay? Babalik ako agad." she said to Sinta
"I am okay, ma. H'wag mo na pong gisingin si ate."
"Are you sure? Sige. Just in case of anything, gisingin mo nalang ate mo or call me, okay?"
Sinta nodded.
Risa immediately went out and drove herself going to Leni's unit. She drove as fast as she could.
In less than 30 minutes, she reached Leni's condo and she saw Leni's car in the parking area. She was able to breathe. She checked her phone but no messages from Leni.
Ang galing. Sabi imemessage ako kapag nakauwi na.
She rode an elevator and got inside Leni's unit.
When she entered, she saw two pillows on the sofa, Leni's suit on the sofa's arm and Leni's phone charging on the coffee table.
Andito mga gamit niya pero wala siya. She said in her mind.
When she removed her sandals, she noticed two pairs of heels. Her heart beat too fast.
Who can be here aside from Leni?
She went upstairs and saw a shirt on the floor. She got it and noticed it was Leni's. As she walked towards Leni's room, she got confused when she saw more clothings on the floor, all were pambahay. She picked them one by one.
Lahat 'to kay Leni. Ano bang nangyare dito.
As she approached Leni's bedroom door, she got shivers all over her body and she frozed the moment she heard moans from inside.......
She covered her mouth because of shock. Her body couldn't move and she couldn't understand what to feel. Her whole body was literally shaking. And tears immediately rolled down her cheeks.
L-Leni..... She uttered.
Her mind and body was fighting whether to open the door or not.
She closed her eyes as she held the door knob but her body and mind stopped from working when she heard loud moans again.
"Aaaaaah! Yes! Fuck!"
A-Agot??!!!!!!
Her knees got too weak to cause her to fall on the floor. She held her chest as she felt like her heart was shattered. Because of too much of holding her sobs, she couldn't breathe anymore.
She tried her best not to make any sounds and to get up. Tears were all over her face. She walked downstairs and ran to the elevator. Inside, she couldn't compose herself. She pushed her fingers through her hair hardly as she couldn't hide her emotions anymore.
Fuck. Shit. Bakit Leni? Bakit?! Fuck!!
She got inside her car the moment she reached the parking lot. She hit the steerring wheel as hard as she could.
Bakit Leni?!! Bakit??!!!! Shit!!
She kept on shouting and screaming inside.
As her emotions burst, she started driving. She drove much faster compared when she went to Leni's condo.
Her tears were still flowing. She bit her finger nails as the moans from Leni's room kept on echoing in her head.
She couldn't think of any reasons why Leni could do it to her.
Fuck Leni!! I trusted you so much! I was very confident of your love!! Even once, I never thought of you having a fucking sex with anybody else! Oh God! What did I do for you to do this?!
Fuck!! Fuck!! Fuck!! She shouted as she she hit again the steering wheel while she was driving.
Her vision was already blurry because of the tears, but she didn't mind. She kept on driving as fast as she could. She couldn't feel anything anymore, except for her heart shattering.
Her phone rang and got distracted when she saw the caller ID.
It was Leni.
Her eyes was stuck on her phone and forgot she was driving.
A blinding light hit her face and a very loud horn was heard.
"Oh shit!!!!!!" Risa exclaimed.
