"I asked the kids to take you to Baler, Aurora on Friday after work. You can leave work at 3pm every Friday, right?" Leni said while putting lotion on her body.
"Friday? February 14?"
"Yes, love."
"Ako lang? How about you?"
"I will be too busy kasi on that day love. May lakad kami in MIMAROPA the whole day. Gagabihin na ako ng uwi. So sabi ko sa bata, para lahat kayo happy, magbeach nalang kayo. Then sunod ako the next day."
"It's okay lang naman kahit hindi na. I'll wait for you nalang on Friday night."
"Nasabihan ko na ang mga bata, love. They are excited na. I think Issa already contacted an exclusive resort there."
"Hmp! Baka may kadate ka lang e, kaya pinapaalis mo ako."
"Opo. May kadate talaga ako. Trabaho."
Risa crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.
"Sus talaga. My praning, Theresia. Halika nga dito."
Leni stood up and hugged her girlfriend.
"Ano ka ba. Wala akong kadate. Ikaw lang gusto kong kadate. Bawi ako. Promise susunod ako. Aagahan ko. You can have me the whole weekend there. H'wag kana magtampo."
"E bakit kasi kelangan pa pumuntang Baler sa Friday mismo? Pwede naman sa Saturday na."
"Love, para makapagbonding naman kayo ng mga bata. Baka sabihin nila inaangkin ko na lahat ng time mo. They will all come to join you. Of course, except Jill. Magvivideo call nalang daw s'ya."
"Fine. Basta sumunod ka, ha. Subukan mo lang akong paasahin, Maria Leonor."
"Kelan ba kita pinaasa, Ana Theresia? Tulog na tayo?"
Risa nodded.
They laid and cuddled each other.
"Goodnight, 'ga."
"Goodnight, love. Kiss ko?"
Risa kissed Leni. It was only supposed to be a smack but Leni moved her lips and Risa answered back. Their kiss lasted for quite long. Risa grabbed and caressed Leni's butt.
Leni pulled herself from the kiss, "Mmm-mmm. Sabi ko kiss lang, love."
"Ay ano ba yan. Pabitin ka naman Pangga, e."
"Reserve your strength for the weekend." then Leni giggled.
Risa's eyes widen. "Ooooh."
"Tulog na tayo. H'wag masyado maexcite, love. Baka di ka na makatulog ng ilang gabi."
Risa smacked Leni's arm, "Kapal talaga netong babaeng 'to. Lika na. Matulog na tayo."
Risa then hugged Leni again until both of them fell asleep.
Days passed until 14th of February.
This time, Leni woke up earlier than Risa to prepare for breakfast. Before 5am, Risa woke up and saw Leni preparing the table.
"Oh, bakit ikaw na nagluto, Pangga?"
"Good morning, love! Uhm. Kasi nga di ba, di mo ako makakasama today. So kelangan kong bumawi."
"Ikaw talaga. It's fine lang naman. Makakasama naman kita bukas."
"E baka kasi nagtatampo ka pa."
"Hindi naman ako nagtatampo. 'Ga, I always understand basta sa work mo. Ikaw talaga."
"Thank you, love. Tara na. Kain na tayo."
They ate and Leni prepared herself to go to work afterwards.
When she's about to go out the door, Risa hugged her so tight.
"Oh god, love. Di... ako... makahinga. Ang higpit."
"Ingat ka, ha. Wala akong pampalit sa'yo." Risa said as she continued hugging Leni.
Leni felt butterflies all over her stomach.
"Excited na ako para bukas. Sunod ka agad, ha?" Risa added and let go of Leni from her hug.
Leni then lift her feet and gave Risa a peck on her lips.
"Opo, love. See you tomorrow. H'wag mo ako masyado mamiss, ha. Isang gabi lang tayo di magkakatabi." Leni chuckled.
"Nagsalita ang hindi clingy nowadays. O'sya alis na. Baka mamaya di na kita paalisin."
After Leni left, Risa also prepared herself to go to work.
Risa started her day just like her normal days. Loren and Grace went to her desk.
"Bakit nagtrabaho ka pa? Hindi ba pupunta kayong Baler today?" Grace asked.
"Ha? Pa'no mo alam?" Risa asked confusedly.
Loren elbowed Grace.
"Ah. Nagpost si Sinta kanina sa instagram. Feeling excited daw." Loren explained.
"Ah, oo. Oo. Kaya nagtataka ako bakit andito ka pa." Grace added.
"Mamaya pang 3pm. Pero hindi namin kasama si Leni. Susunod nalang daw s'ya. Lilibutin nila MIMAROPA today, e. Ang aga ngang umalis kanina."
"Aaaah." Grace.
"Sama kayo?" Risa invited.
"Nako. H'wag na. Makakaistorbo lang kami. O'sya. Enjoy kayo." Loren.
Around noon, while Risa was fixing her things before going out to eat, one of her staff approached her, with a big smile, with a paper bag and a bouquet of flowers.
"Mada'am, sana all po." she said.
"Oh. Oh my god."
"Si mada'am, kala mo naman wala neto every year."
"I was not expecting this since wala naman s'ya dito." she said as she accepted the flowers and the paper bag.
"Well, manok ko yan!!" Grace shouted. Loren laughed.
Risa smiled because of too much kilig she was feeling. She immediately read the card on the bouquet..
Risa blushed even more after reading the card.
Risa immediately took her phone and text Leni.
Risa couldn't stop herself from glancing the flowers while she was eating.
Other senators kept on looking at her but she didn't care anymore about them.
After eating, she continued working until 2:45 in the afternoon. Her phone beeped and she saw Sinta texted her.
Risa then met the kids at the parking lot. She went inside the van and noticed Issa, Ianna and Tricia were not around.
"Asan mga ate mo, Sinta?" Risa asked.
"Uhmm. Nauna na po para hindi daw po tayo masikip dito." Sinta answered.
"Ay nako. Ang dami pang space, oh. O'sya. Let's go na. For sure late na tayo makakarating do'n."
Risa, Sinta, Aika and Kiko just talked random things while they were traveling.
They arrived at the resort around 8PM.
"Ma! Buti andito na kayo." Issa greeted.
"Kayo, ah. Ba't nauna na kayo?"
"It's actually a good decision, ma. Nakaluto na kami for dinner. Ready na din sa labas para mamayang bonding time." Ianna said.
"Kain na po muna tayo." Tricia invited.
Risa and the other kids fixed their things first in their rooms before sitting on the dining. They all ate together then the kids talked a lot of things.
Risa watched their kids laughing and having fun together. She remembered Leni.
I hope Leni could see this.
Risa felt someone held her hand.
"Mama Ris, h'wag nyo na po masyadong mamiss si mama. Isang tulog mo lang po, andito na yon." Tricia said.
Risa bowed her head, feeling shy.
"Kain na po." Tricia added.
After eating dinner, Sinta and Kiko cleared the table, and Aika and Ianna helped each other in washing the dishes.
"Libot muna tayo, ma. Dito tayo sa pool area. Maya na po tayo lumabas sa front beach." Issa invited her mom.
Risa agreed and liked the place.
"Sa'n mo 'to nalaman, Issa? Sabi ni Leni ikaw raw nagpareserve neto."
"Sa kamag-anak 'to ma ng boyfriend ko. Kaya safe na safe kayo dito ni mama Leni. Tayo lang po ang andito. Yung mga bantay po nasa kabilang building. By phone nalang po if may kelangan tayo sa kanila."
"Wow. So we are free to...."
"To?"
Then awkward silence enveloped the scenario.
Issa clapped her hands once, "Whatever that is ma, the answer is yes. Pasabihan nalang po siguro kami para di po kami makaistorbo." then she chuckled.
"What are you thinking, Issa? What I mean is, maglakad-lakad, maghawakan ng kamay. Mga ganon."
"Oh. Oh. Right. Yes, ma. You are free. Pero at least, without you asking about the ano, alam mo na rin ang sagot."
Risa smacked Issa's shoulder. "Issa!"
Issa just laughed.
While walking around, Issa's phone rang.
"Ate Aiks! Really po? Okay na?.... Can we go na?.... As in now na? Sige sige po..... Papunta na."
Risa looked at her confusedly.
"Tara ma sa beach front. Okay na daw po sabi ni ate Aiks." Issa said excitedly.
"Oh, okay anak."
When they were about to go out from the mini gate, Issa put a blindfold to her mom.
"Uy, anak! What is this?"
"H'wag n'yo pong aalisin. Bawal pong sumilip. Trust me, ma."
Then Issa held her mom and guided her carefully going to the beach front. As soon as they got there, a song played (I Never Thought That I Could Love).

"Hey. I love that song!" Risa said while still blindfolded.
Issa then removed her mom's blinfold when the chorus of the song started.

Risa saw a set up in front of her.
She covered her mouth when she saw a familiar silhouette approaching her as the song continued to play.

Risa's tears streamed down her cheeks as she and her love, Leni swayed with the song.
Both of them could clearly feel their heartbeats. Both of them felt like they were in cloud nine. Too much emotions, love and happiness they were feeling. Both were carried away by the song, imagining they were the main characters in the music video if it has.
"This song exactly describes how I feel about you, Ris." Leni whispered.
"I feel the same way, Leni."

The song ended but they were still hugging.
"Love, sshhh. Why are you crying?" Leni asked as she stroked her hand on Risa's back.
"Nakakainis ka. Sabi mo bukas kapa susunod, e."
"Uhmmm, surprise?"
Risa pulled herself from the hug and smacked Leni's arm.
"Ouch!"
"Kaya pala nauna na sila Issa dito, noh? Kayo talaga. Alam ko na ba't ang weweird ng mga tao sa paligid ko kanina. MIMAROPA pala, ah."
Leni made a peace sign.
"Did you like it?" Leni asked.
Risa nodded and immediately kissed Leni.
"Ehem!" Aika.
"Tao! Opo! May tao po dito!" Ianna.
"Respeto po sa single!" Kiko.
Then Risa and Leni realized the kids were still there. Both of them just chuckled.
"Sorry. Masyado lang nadala si mama." Risa.
"Let's start na. Oh, Kiko. Let's do barbecue." Tricia.
"Ako na magtitimpla ng drinks!" Ianna.
Risa and Leni sat on the table Leni and the kids prepared while watching their kids doing their things to spend the rest of the night.
Risa then held Leni's hand.
"Thank you."
Leni put her other hand on top of Risa's hand.
"Anything for you, my love. I love you. Happy Valentine's Day...."
