Hugo quickly ran out of the car and into Luka's arms. ''You okay'' He asked and Hugo nodded resting his head on his chest. ''I'm sorry Hugo'' Adrien said before he walked past them. ''Hey baby, are you okay'' His mother asked as she was laying on the bed. Hugo nodded and lay beside her.
''Baby Adrien is still your daddy and you have to talk to him'' Marinette sat up on the bed curling his hair between his fingers. ''Luka can be my daddy now'' Hugo beamed. ''Hugo. It doesn't work like that'' Luka added. ''I would love to be there for you and help your mom take care of you, but you can't just replace your father'' He added.
''But daddy hurt mommy, he's bad'' Hugo sat up on the bed fiddling with his fingers. ''I know but I'm great now, I have you and If you are happy and safe I am too don't worry about me Hugo, Your dad loves you and he makes mistakes, I made mistakes too that's why you forgive, And remember if you be a good baby then you will get a sister so you need to talk to your Pubba okay'' Marinette smiled. ''Okay mommy, but can I name her Crissy'' Hugo beamed. ''Uhh probably not, that can be her nickname her name will be Emma but we can put Crystal or Cristiana and we can call her Crissy for short'' Marinette beamed. ''Okay, but can you make pancakes for me please'' He begged. ''Yeah of course'' Luka swopped up the blonde boy and placed him on his shoulders and took him to the kitchen. Adrien who overheard their conversation. Still loved his ex-girlfriend as she still cared about him and wanted Hugo to still love him also...
The next day...
As Marinette just sat down outside on the floor in a simple burgundy hoodie. The pregnant girl rubbed her baby bump in a circular motion thinking about her daughter. ''how are you feeling'' Adrien asked bringing a smoothie to her. ''Thanks, well other than the sore feet and Hugo, it's going great, what's up with your life, and your fiance'' She rolled her eyes at the thought.
''I ended it, that day, with Hugo when she told him, and you were right she really had just come back to mess with you'' He sighed. ''Oh sorry,'' She whispered. ''Nah it's good I don't mind anyway I didn't love her anyway'' He replied. ''But you proposed'' Marinette shot back. ''Well she wanted to get married and I lost you so I didn't really care anymore'' He said laying his head on the floor.
''Oh'' was all she replied. ''Mari, I know I messed up with you and our relationship but I only did it because you were always forgiving me and I don't mind but you can't keep storing up all my bullshit. So I just thought if I let you off with one more mess you would move on and get a better life but I guess we are stuck forever now plus you are carrying my daughter and I want to be in her life, and I want to make to up to Hugo and you, so can you stay for the rest of the month, please, I want to be here for you because I wasn't there for you when you were pregnant with our wonderful son and it's a girl Mari, which is like a dream come true so please'' He begged.
''If you make it up to Hugo... I will stay'' She replied. ''Thank you'' He beamed excitedly. ''Now help me up I feel like jello'' She pouted. ''You look like jello- In a good way'' He returned as she glared at him. ''Wow, you are lucky I like you kitty'' She replied as he helped her up from the floor. ''Now where is that son of mine'' Adrien questioned. ''MOMMA'' Hugo screamed from the balcony. ''HI,'' He yelled as Luka held him high up in the air. ''Oh god'' Marinette mumbled. ''I'm a big boy now, I can see everything'' he yelled making them chuckle. ''That's your son'' She giggled. ''What, wow real smooth Mari'' he rolled his eyes chuckling.
Later that night...
''So, how is my favorite basketball doing'' Luka chuckled. ''Wow, I'm taking that as a compliment, but imma be slightly mad at you'' She pouted. ''Aww you are adorable'' He shot back closing the space with a kiss on her cheek. ''Mmm, Your belly grew'' Luka whispered leaving small kisses on the edge of her lips. ''Great, I want this baby to be healthy and amazing'' She smiled. ''Just like her mother'' He said closing the space between them. ''Ew stop'' Hugo groaned as Adrien walked into the room with him. ''Close your eyes'' Mari threw a pillow at him making him chuckle. ''So Bubba burst my football'' Hugo pointed out. ''Bubba'' Luka slanted his head. ''My dog, come see'' He took his arm and pulled him out of the room.
''So can I see'' He asked making his way to her. ''Yeah,'' She stood up and lifted her cropped hoodie. The blonde slowly placed his hands on the bump making her shiver to the touch and he pulled away. ''No, it's fine your hands are just cold'' She smiled. ''Oh, sorry,'' he walked away to the bathroom and quickly came back. ''Is that better'' He asked resting his hands on the bump again. She nodded and he smiled. ''This is weird, but good weird, it's squishy'' he chuckled making her smile.
''You will be a great mother to her Marinette'' He added. ''Thank you'' She placed her hand under her baby bump and felt safe with him again. ''Well I'm gonna try and work some magic on your son so I'll be back kay baby'' He left a small kiss on the bump and made his way outside to search for their son. ''Do you mind if I steal Hugo for a bit'' Adrien asked as he and Luka were playing with Bubba. ''Yeah sure, I'll be inside'' He said before leaving. They walked back close to the house and sat by the pool. Hugo fiddled with his fingers as his feet dangled off the edge of the sofa.
''Hugo, I'm sorry I left you and your mother but I wanted what was best for you, your mom is the best person I ever met and you are just like her, and I love you both with my entire heart, I messed up in the past and I didn't want to do it again so I did something to make your mom go away with you, and I tried to move on with your aunty which was wrong and I don't like her or love her because I love your mom, I'm sorry I hurt you and I will never hurt your mother or you again, just give me one last chance, I promise if I mess up this you can hate me forever, just please let me make this right'' He begged.
''Do you Promise'' He looked up at him. ''I swear on my life'' ''What's that'' Hugo asked confused. ''Uh, it's another way of Promising I guess, but Yes I promise'' He chuckled. ''Okay Pubba,'' Hugo cheered. ''Great, thank you I promise I will not mess this up.'' Although Hugo didn't understand everything his father said he just wanted to make sure his mom was happy so if his mother forgave him so did he.
''So Hugo is cool with Adrien'' Luka said laying next to Marinette on the bed. ''Nice'' Marinette responded. ''So yall are staying here right'' Luka asked. ''For a bit, when do you have to leave, you are coming back right'' She asked. ''Yeah, Also Adrien is reading the story for Hugo tonight so you can sleep now'' Luka responded. ''Great'' Turning her back to him she draped his arm over her baby bump and snuggled closer to him. ''Goodnight Lu'' SHe whispered.
Luka knew from before they started dating that Marinette and his romantic life were only temporary, he knew Marinette would end up back with her ex for the sake of her kids and because she loved him and he didn't mind really, he wanted what was best for her and now that he knew about Nathaniel and her protector Chat he knew she was in good hands.
A Week Later...
''Hey, you okay'' Adrien asked sitting next to Marinette on the sofa. ''Well Luka and I are done.'' She said playing with her watch. ''Oh... sorry, I'll be back.'' He got up and walked away. ''If you are coming to ask about the breakup, It's what's best for her'' He responded. ''Everyone knows you love her, and she loves you plus you two have two children now and I'm not standing in the way of that, so I did it before she did'' Luka responded. ''Oh, thanks, are you good though'' Adrien asked. ''Yeah, we are good, she still wants to be friends so I don't mind'' Luka said honestly. ''Kay, if you need anything you know where I am, and feel free to visit anytime you want, Hugo likes you,'' Adrien responded.
Later that day...
''Mari, do you want to try this again'' Adrien asked sitting next to Marinette on the sofa. ''What the cake'' She raised a brow. ''Wow,'' he muttered making her giggle. ''Yeah Kitty this is your last chance if you mess it up I swear I am never coming back'' Marinette shot back. ''Yea, yea, Thanks Princess'' He kissed her head. ''Now move'' He shifted her body and laid between her legs on his stomach facing her tummy. ''Damn, you are pregnant with my baby girl, I love you too'' He was shocked and excited that he gets a do-over with his girlfriend's pregnancy cycle.
''When are we telling Hugo'' She asked. ''Uhm we can tell him now, HUGO!'' Adrien yelled sitting up. ''Yes, Pubba'' he came running into the living room. ''Why does mommy have a squishy big belly'' he asked poking her baby bump as the small boy sat between his parents.
''Well she is pregnant'' Adrien responded. ''I know... what is prego-nant'' He slanted his head. ''It's when you have a baby inside you basically'' Adrien added.
''Oh... wait, so you ate a baby!!!'' Hugo screamed. ''Oh my lord'' Ethan chuckled as he sat opposite them.
''No, of course not, It means you are getting a baby sister'' His mother said with a grin. ''What, thank you thank you thank you so much I love you'' Hugo said jumping up in the air...
