Isabellas POV
When I got home I felt nothing but relief of course my parents yelled at me for staying out past my curfew and not coming home almost worrying them to death but since this was my first time doing this I didn't get in any major trouble for it.
Time went by pretty quickly, after my long hot shower I went to my room and hopped in bed trying to block out everything that happened to me these past few days, I had decided to dive deep into my school work getting an head start on applying to colleges since graduation is like right around the corner. I know my parents won't be able to afford to send me to college so I've been saving up whatever I can from the work I do at my family's restaurant but even then that still isn't enough. As I was searching the web I decided to look for some other jobs maybe part time.
But I had no luck so I shut down my laptop for the day and decided to just relax till it was time for dinner.
The next day
After school I had decided to go to my family restaurant with my best friend Samantha, We walked inside in the smell of food quickly invaded our nostrils, just then I saw my mom coming out of the kitchen with a plater of food for some consumers she didn't notice us until she starved they their food then turned to see us.
" Samantha, Isabella I didn't know you guys were stopping by today" she said giving us both a hug
"Yeah we thought we'd just come in hang out here today" Samantha said
"Oh well why don't I get you two something to eat while your here on the house" she said we both nodded and she turned to leave. Samantha and I then went over and took a seat in an empty booth there wasn't really much Business today so the places was pretty quiet just then another two people came in and to our surprise it was Max, and one of his long time friends Alex, much like Max having a huge crush on Samantha for years now, it's been a rumor since middle school that Alex has had a crush on me for just as long but I've never actually thought the rumors were nothing more then just that a rumor, besides he's incredibly good looking and Athletic and all around perfect why would he ever want to be with some nerdy girl like me.
he smiled and waved when he saw us almost immediately coming over.
"Hey I didn't know you worked on school days to" he said as him and Alex took a seat across from us
"I don't we're just here to hangout" I said
"Right you remember My best friend Alex right?" Max asked
"Of course" I said
"How could I forget him now that I've seen him with it shirt off recently" Samantha said referring to the fact that a few days ago we went to one of his soccer ball practices. Alex is also pretty popular for being the best soccer ball player at our school.
"I'm isa-" I started to say but he cut me off finishing my sentence for me
"Isabella right I know I'd never forget a pretty face" he said making me blush just then my mom came over and sat a big plate of nachos in the middle of our table. We all smiled and thanked her as she left.
"So did you guys hear about what happened at that club" max asked
"Uh no" Samantha said
"Oh apparently four guys was found dead along with like two others the cops are saying that it was a gang related shooting but that doesn't make sense to me" he said just as he started talking about it was like flashes of what happened started to occur.
"I did think it was strange how they kicked us out" Samantha said
"If this was just gang related then why did 4 of the guys that was shot have cartel tattoos but the other two did not" he said showing us pictures
"Oh Where in the world did you even get those" Samantha asked twisting her face
"I have my methods love" he said winking at her
"Call me that again and I'll be sure to rip your tongue out" she said
"And by methods you mean sneaking into the crime scene" Alex said
"Oh my god isn't that like illegal" Samantha asked. See max loves these types of things he wants to be an CSI when he graduates most of Max's family work for the law his dads a cop his moms a lawyer and his sisters are both detectives while his grandpas a judge and it was rumored that his Grandma use to be CIA but it was never proof that it was true. Max has good attentions it's just that he goes about it the wrong way if he didn't have so many relatives that work for the law he would've been in jail a long time ago.
"That doesn't matter what do is that I think the cops are missing something so I was wondering if you guys are down to help me" he asked
"No way" Samantha said
"Yeah I'm with her on this one" I said
"Oh come on why not" he wined
"You remember when we were like 9 and your dad left some case files in the living room and you decided that we were going to solve it for him so we all went to the building with a big ass sign that said no trespassing but we went in anyways and you tripped an alarm and the cops showed up and we all got scolded by your dad" Samantha said
" Vaguely yes" he said
"Well after getting scolded by your dad I had an 3 hour lecture from my parents and Isabella got grounded for a week"
"Well this time it's different" max said
"Yeah it is different because we could actually go to Jail!" Samantha said max rolled his eyes
"Come on you know my dads not going to let them throw you in jail all of our parents are like besties" he said trying to get us to agree to it
"Yeah plus we'll be out of there before the cops even show up" Alex said me and Samantha both looked at each other then back at max
"Please guys your my friends if I can Solve this maybe my dad would let me start early training to become a CSI" he said pleading with us
"Ugh fine but I swear to god if I end up in trouble I'm never talking to you again" Samantha said Max celebrated "YES! You won't I swear" he said with a smile they all then looked over at me Ericas words then popped in my head
"She's in" Samantha said before i even had a chance to say anything I gave her an what the hell look and she just shrugged.
