"I'M FETCHING you later" Kyle said, and I just nooded at him, today is my first day of being a second year college student at my university. I just waved my hand at Kyle, ng makaalis na ang kotse ay dumiretso na ako sa university ko.
Nang mahanap ko ang room ko ay umupo na lang ako sa may gitna, I saw my other classmates they are with friends, maybe they knew each other from last year? I heard my phone notification when I get it, I saw Kyle's message.

I'm at my room now, find some friends and let yourself comfortable okay? Goodluck on your first day, I'm rooting for you Elly

I didn't type a reply for him cause our professor came. Tinabi ko na muna ang phone ko and focus on our professor.
"Good morning everyone, all of you enjoy the vacation? This is your first day as a second year college" sabi ni Prof. some of my blockmates answer our Professor but I didn't.
"Transferred? Who?" tanong ng Professor nagtaas naman ako ng kamay at nagulat ako ng dalawa pala kami sa room na yun. Sinenyasan naman kami ng Prof na tumayo, I stand up and all our blockmates are looking at us.
"Introduce yourself" sabi ni Prof, huminga muna ako ng malalim bago ako nagpakilala sa lahat
"Hi? My name is Ellianna Vanessa Waltz, I'm from one of the University in Canada, I'm not that vocal but I can be friendly for everyone" I said then all of our blockmates clap and nooded their heads.
"Good morning, my name is Ace Austin Parker, nice meeting you all" pakilala ng isang transfer tumango naman si Prof at pina-upo na ulit kami
"I'm your Professor, Prof. Jake Williams, some of you know me cause I'm also a professor way back and to some students don't know me, I'm not a strict, but you can always count me in"
"Now, let's start our first day" sabi ni Prof at nagready naman ako ng notes ko. Prof. Williams is not strict at all, he always vibe with us, and some of our blockmates. He's a good professor. After an hour of discussion, the class dismissed.
"See you around class, and see you tomorrow for next lesson" sabi ni Prof at lahat naman kami ay nagready na sa pag-alis. Nilagay ko na ang mga gamit ko sa bag ko then I was shock when someone approach me.
"Hi? Ellianna right?" ng lingunin ko yun ay nakita ko ang isang transfer "I'm sorry, did I scare you?" he ask me, maybe he noticed how I shock I am.
Tinapos ko na ang pag-ayos ng gamit ko. I don't want to be close to guys, but looks like he's a good guy.
"Mr. Parker, I'm sorry but Ms. Waltz is not use to guys" nagulat kami pareho ng biglang sumingit si Prof. Williams "I-I'm sorry, I just want to be friends with you" sabi ng blockmate ko napatingin naman ako sa Professor namin.
"If your thinking, I know you, your Ellianna Vanessa Waltz, before you introduce yourself I already know you. Your my son's friend in Canada and he wants me to look after you since your friend is not in the same university your in" sabi ni Prof at nagulat naman ako ng may marealize
"Canada? Josh? Your Josh father?" tanong ko tumango naman si Prof "Yep, and if you don't mind? I know your story way back, my son told me about it, and your parents personally talk to me on the phone last week" sabi ni Prof tumango naman ako.
"Thank you po" I said and Prof just nooded at me "Just call me or find me if you need help" Prof said and I just nooded and smile, Prof bid his goodbye to us before he left, I face my blockmate.
"I'm not a bad person, I just want to be friends with you" sabi niya sinakbit ko ang bag ko sa balikat ko. "Thanks for approaching me" I said and walk, he's just at my side "Friends?" he ask me I face him again.
"Maybe? Once I became comfortable with you" I said and he just nooded and walk beside me "Do you have class?" he ask me I nooded at him "One class before break time" I said and walk again "Same, ahm, if you don't mind? Have lunch with me?"
His offer is not that bad so I face him "Okay, see you in cafeteria" I said and walk again I go to my next class. Hindi na siya nakasunod siguro ay nagpunta na din siya sa may klase niya, ng makarating sa may klase ko ay naghanap na ako ng upuan.
After that class I pick my things and ready to go out. I received again a message from Kyle, I didn't send a reply to him earlier.

How's class? Make some friends okay? Always take care Elly, I'm eating lunch now

I'm going to eat lunch now, and after that I will go to my next class, anyway I'm going to tell you some story about today

After I send him my reply, I left our room and to my shock I saw my blockmate the one who invited me a lunch on the side
"Hi? Lunch?" he ask me and I just nodded, he walk beside me and I just let him.
Nang makarating kami sa may cafeteria ay sabay naman kaming dumiretso sa may counter, I just order light food, I don't want to eat heavy food for now cause it's my first day I don't want to ruin it.
Nang maka-order kami ay naghanap na kami ng seat namin, we just settle for four seater, umupo na kami doon, he's in front of me. Nilagay ko naman sa tabi ko ang bag ko, we start eating while talking about something
"Ahm, I know you know my name but I want to personally introduce myself" he said and clear his throat, I stop eating and face him "I'm Ace Austin Parker, you can call me Ace once you accept me as your friend" he said I laugh what he said.
"So what do you want me to call you? if I'm not comfortable with you as a friend? Mr. Parker?" I ask him, and he just laughed too and smiled at me "I just thought your not comfortable to me now, and calling my name makes you uncomfortable too"
"Nope, I may not be comfortable for now, but you seem a good guy" I said that makes him smile "I am, I just want to be your friend, you look nice" he said and I nooded at him "Call me Van, if Ellianna is too long for you" I said that makes him shock
"Van? Is that your second name? I mean, some people wants them to call by their first name? Cause their second name is for their close friends or family only?" he said, I shrugged my head
"You know what? People prefer to call me Van instead of Ellianna cause it's too long and I'm okay with it too, so call me Van if my name is too long for you, but you can call me Ellianna if you want too" sabi ko
"Van is it" he said and I just nooded, we continue eating while talking about everything, maybe I will make myself comfortable with him? He seems good guy after all
"My father is Half-American and Half-Filipino while my mother is pure Filipina, i just use to leave here" he said and I nooded "You have siblings?" I ask him and he nooded.
"Yep, I have oldest sister, she's already married and I'm the middle child and I have younger sister too" sabi niya
"Your only son?" I ask him and he nooded "Yep, and I have a very good and beautiful sister" he said and I nooded
"You? Have siblings?" he ask, I smiled before shrugged my head "Nope, I'm only child both side" I said that make him confused.
"Both side? Broken family?" he ask, umiling naman ako sa kanya, kumain na muna ako bago sumagot "Nope, they are just not married but my surname is from my father" I said he nooded
"They are not living in the same roof? I mean, where do you live now?" tanong niya at sumubo pa ng pagkain niya
"I'm living with my Mama before, in Canada, and on my vacation I'm going to Papa's house in Dubai to spend my time with him and after the vacation, Papa will send me in Canada, that's my cycle" I said and he nooded, "And who's with you now? Did your Mom or Dad move here?"
"Nope, I have a neighbor in Canada, he's my friend and they move here and my parents just trust them for me, and I'm living with them now, they are good person" I said while eating, talking to Ace is fun, he's kind and have a good aura.
Ace Austin Parker, a very good man, and a handsome guy, he have this aura that get everyone attention. He's jolly and talkative too! Sabay kaming lumabas ng cafeteria at nagpaalam naman na ako sa kanya na mauuna na ako dahil may klase pa ako
"Bye Van, see you when I see you" he said and I nooded and smile at him. I bid my goodbye before going to my next class, I go to my class and just do some introduction and just take down some notes.
Times passed and it's time to go home now!
I hurriedly pick my things and place it on my bag, i received a message from Kyle earlier.

I will be late a minutes cause my Prof call me, just wait okay? Our Driver is here now, you want him to fetch you first?

Hindi na ako nag-reply at lumabas na sa room ko, habang naglalakad sa hallway ay nagulat ako ng makasalubong si Ace sa daan. "Going home?" sabi niya tumango naman ako "Yep, I'm just waiting for my friend" sabi ko tumango naman siya.
"If you don't mind? Can I come with you?" tanong niya tumango na lang ako dahil wala din naman akong kasama dun. Nagpunta kami sa may labas ng building, he guided me in the parking lot, tumabi kami sa may mga halaman na nandun.
"Someone will fetch you?" I ask him, he nooded and smile at me "Yeah, my parents, cause my older sister came with her husband" he said and I nooded at him "Do you have niece now?" tanong ko umiling naman siya
"Nope, my older sister and her husband will go here, just to visit and then they going to Philippines for their honeymoon" he said and I was shock when he told me the country "What? Philippines?! Doon nila napili? Ang galing naman" sabi ko at doon ko lang na-realize na tagalong ang sinabi ko.
"What I mean is —" I cut my words when he spoke and smile at me "I understand, I know how to speak tagalog" sabi niya and to my relief. "My sister choose that country cause that's the country she meet her husband" sabi niya kaya tumango ako.
"Hmm, their love story is good" sabi ko tumango naman siya "Yeah, I actually want to find a woman for me in Philippines too, cause that's the country my parents meet, and my sister also" sabi niya tumango naman ako.
"Malay mo? If you visit Philippines, you find your match?" sabi ko tumango naman siya, huminto naman sa harap namin ang sasakyan na susundo saken "Elly" tawag agad ni Kyle sakin ng makalabas siya ng sasakyan
"Kyle!" sabi ko at tumabi sa kanya "Ahm, Kyle, meet Ace, one of my blockmate, and Ace this is Kyle my friend the one I told you" I said naglahad naman ng kamay si Ace kay Kyle
"Ace Austin Parker, nice meeting you" pakilala ni Ace, tinanggap naman ni Kyle ang kamay ni Ace na nakalahad "Thunder Kyle Chen, likewise" sabi ni Kyle at binalingan ako "Let's go?" sabi ni Kyle, binalingan ko muna si Ace.
"I'm going now? See you tomorrow" sabi ko tumango naman si Ace at kumaway "Bye, see you tomorrow, my offer" sabi niya tumango naman ako at pumasok na sa kotse sunod si Kyle, sa backseat kami.
Pinaandar na ng driver ang sasakyan, tahimik lang ang byahe namin hanggang sa makarating kami sa bahay. Nang makababa ay dumiretso ako sa loob at sa may kwarto ko, nilapag ko na ang bag ko.
Nagpalit na ako ng damit pagkatapos ay lumabas ako dala ang phone ko. Dumiretso ako sa may living area, di pa naman ako gutom kaya juice na muna ang pinatimpla ko, ng dumating ay pinatong ko muna yun sa coffee table.
I just use my phone and scroll on my social media, and suddenly a notification pop up and I saw Ace friend request

I accept his request, although I didn't accept him as my friend, I found him good man, so im okay with it. "Elly What are you gonna tell me?" tanong ni Kyle ng makarating siya sa pwesto ko. Umupo naman siya sa tabi ko, uminom muna ako ng juice bago humarap sa kanya.
"I can't believe, Josh's father is my professor?! He told me earlier" sabi ko at nagulat naman siya "Really? He just told me, his father is Professor in America but I didn't know in your university" sabi niya tumango naman ako
"Yep, and atleast I know someone right? Josh told to his father what my past is, so he told he's one call away" sabi ko tumango naman siya at nginitian ako, he also tap my head and put my small hair in the back of my ear.
"Good for you, and may I ask who's Ace? Your friend?" tanong niya natawa naman ako dahil biglang kumunot ang noo niya ng banggitin ang pangalan ni Ace. "He's just a someone who wants to be my friend, he told me he'll wait until I'm comfortable with him, and I accept him as my friend"
"Are you comfortable with him?" tanong niya, nagkipit balikat naman ako, uminom ako ng juice ko bago ako humiga, umunan ako sa may hita ni Kyle "I'm still adjusting, I don't know but I found Ace a good man" I said while looking at him.
Kyle scrub my hair, and it's feel good, tumagilid na lang ako, paharap sa kanya. "You? How's first day?" tanong ko, sinusuklay niya pa din ang buhok ko gamit ang kamay niya "Good, meet new people" sabi niya tumango naman ako at pumikit, hanggang sa makatulog ako.
"I'll treat you" sabi ni Ace kaya di na ako tumanggi, nagpunta na kami sa may cafeteria, siya na ang umorder at ako ang naghanap ng pwesto namin. Ace already knew what I want to eat, ng makahanap ako ay umupo na ako doon at hinintay siya, nag message naman ako kay Kyle.

Nakarating na din naman si Ace dala ang pagkain namin, binigay na niya ang sakin. He also place his food in front of him, sabay na kaming kumain. Its been months now, since my first day of school and I already meet a lot of people.
It's been a months too since Ace approach me, and in that months, I'm finally comfortable with him so I accept him as my friend.
Sa nangyari sakin dati, nahirapan na akong mag-approach ng mga tao at lumapit sa kanila, tanging si Kyle at Josh na lang ang nilapitan ko noon. But since Ace is here, he's one of the list.
"Do you have plans in our activity?" tanong ni Ace umiling naman ako "I'm telling to Tita and Tito about it, and I will tell you the day when I'm going to your house" sabi ko tumango naman siya "What if? I'm the one who's going to your place instead?" tanong niya napa-isip naman ako.
"I'll try to tell that to Tita and Tito, you know that's not my house, so I'll try" sabi ko tumango naman siya habang kumakain ay biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko. Nang tignan ko yun ay tumatawag si Kyle, sinagot ko naman yun habang kumakain.

Nilunok ko muna ang nginunguya ko bago ko siya sinagot

After that I back at eating again, Ace send me to my class before he go to his class, umupo na ako sa may gitna, nakinig lang ako sa professor namin and take down some notes.
After an hour of classes finally I'm done, I still have a quiz tomorrow in Foreign Language, I need to review! Ilang subject lang naman ang kailangan kong aralin. I have subjects like Foreign Language, Hospitality, Psychology, Safety and First Aid, and especially Travel and Tourism.
Studying tourism is not easy though, you need to learn a lot of languages and their nationality, what they mostly likes and dislikes, your patience need to be long if you want to be one. But the advantage of being a flight attendant is you can travel every country it depends what your flight is.
"Foreign Language giving me so much headache" sabi ni Ace ng makalabas kami ng university, maghihintay na kami ng sundo namin "Yeah, I still have a quiz for that tomorrow" sabi ko tinapik naman niya ang balikat ko
"You can do it, you have higher IQ level when it comes to memorization"
"Really? Your praising me too much" sabi ko natawa naman siya, huminto kami sa may lagi naming pinaghihintayan sa sundo ko. "I have individual recitation tomorrow in Safety and First Aid" sabi niya, tumango naman ako sa kanya "It's a easy subject for you" sabi ko
"It's easy, and you know it" sabi niya natawa naman ako "Yeah" sabi ko rinig ko naman na tumawa siya "Advantage of having a pilot father and flight attendant mother, so the daughter is like this" sabi ni Ace at tinuro pa ako
"I just want to be like them, cause when I was a little, my Mama always bring me, when she have a long flight and no one will take care of me" sabi ko nagtaka naman siya "Your Father? He's not taking care of you?" tanong niya
"Nope, he don't know he have me before cause Mama hide me from him but it's in the past I'm okay with my parents now..."
"Do you think? Your parents can still married?" tanong niya napatingin naman ako sa kanya "I'm hoping but that's their decision to make not mine" sabi ko tumango naman siya, dumating din naman na ang sundo ko.
Bumaba si Kyle sa may backseat, nagtanguan lang sila sign na binati nila ang isa't isa. "I'm going now Ace" sabi ko tumango naman si Ace sakin "Bye Van" he said I just waved my hand at him. Sumakay na ako sa loob ng kotse kasunod si Kyle.
"Am I late?" tanong ni Kyle umiling naman ako sa kanya "Nope, I just go there early" sabi ko tumango naman siya, ng makarating sa may bahay ay sabay kaming lumabas ni Kyle, dumiretso ako sa kwarto ko at nagbihis
Pagkatapos ay kinuha ko lahat ng gamit ko bago ako bumaba at pumwesto sa may salas, nagpadala na lang ako ng juice at maryenda sa maid. I just tie my long hair into a messy bun. Hinayaan ko na lang ang ilang hibla na nasa unahan ng mukha ko.
Sa may lapag na lang ako umupo at sa coffee table ako nakalamesa. Dumating na din naman yung meryenda ko "Thank you po" sabi ko the maid Tito and Tita hire is a filipino same as the driver.
Sumimsim na muna ako sa may juice bago ko inaral ang mga Foreign Language na isinulat ko sa notes ko. I need to study Spanish, Japanese and Indian language for my quiz tomorrow.
I focus myself on reading and studying my notes when I heard click of the camera and I saw flashes. Nang lingunin ko yun ay alam ko ng si Kyle yun, he's holding his camera, lumapit naman siya sakin "What? Another subject?" tanong ko tumawa naman siya at umupo sa may sofa.
"Yeah, but not really" he said I nooded and continue studying my notes "Quiz? Test?" tanong niya at nakitingin din sa binabasa ko "Quiz in Foreign Language" sabi niya at kita ko naman na tumango siya.
"That is easy for you" sabi niya, ganyan din ang sinabi sakin ni Ace. "What do you mean by passing long test? You sounded sad amd drain earlier" sabi ko habang ang atensyon ko ay nasa mga notes ko pa din.
"I have three wrongs in my Media theory and research in long test, and that's the most easiest question but I didn't answer it correctly!" he said he look frustrated "Atleast you passed and do your best" sabi ko humiga naman siya sa sofa.
"I know but I'm not use to it" sabi niya napa-buntong hininga naman ako "I'm sure Tito and Tita will still proud of you even though you didn't perfect the long test" sabi ko nilingon niya naman ako
"You think?" tanong niya tumango naman ako
"Yep, I'm sure they are, just don't force yourself to the limit, you may get drain and lost energy" sabi ko tumango naman siya "Mom and Dad will go home early, so they will be here for dinner" sabi ni Kyle tumango naman ako.
"Okay" sabi ko at nag-aral na ulit.
Kyle's parents are busy, hindi na namin sila nakikita tuwing umaga at gabi, they left early and go home late. Ngayon na lang ulit namin sila makakasabay na mag dinner, lahat ng oras ko ay nilaan ko para sa quiz ko bukas.
When I look at Kyle I saw him sleeping, he's holding his camera, niligpit ko na muna ang mga gamit ko bago ko hinarap si Kyle, I was about to get his camera when he pulled me to him.
Kaya ang ending ay napahiga ako sa tabi niya, the couch is too big, kaya kasya kaming dalawa, he's hugging me. "Get up, I'm going to arrange my things" sabi ko pero hindi nakinig ang baliw.
"Nope, a minute" sabi niya then scrub my hair, I look at my wrist watch. It's five am now, he continue scrubbing my hair until I realize I fall asleep.
I woke up feeling someone is staring at me, so when I open my eyes, I realize it was Kyle, I sleep beside him. "It's time for dinner" sabi niya bumangon naman na ako at umupo na muna "What time is it? Is Tito and Tita here now?" tanong ko tumango naman siya.
"It's already nine pm and Mom and Dad are here, they're waiting for you to wake up" sabi niya kaya nagulat ako "Why you didn't wake me up?" tanong ko, tumayo na ako at kinuha ang mga gamit ko "Your sleeping peacefully and I don't want to disturb you so I just wait you till you wake up" he said I nooded.
"I will be there in a minute, I'm going to put my things on my room" sabi ko at dala ang mga gamit ko ay dinala ko yun sa may kwarto ko, pagkatapos ay lumabas na ulit ako at bumaba
Nadatnan ko si Tito and Tita with Kyle in the dining, they greeted me so I just smiled and nooded at them, sa may tabi ako ni Kyle umupo. "How's the school you two?" tanong ni Tito Tian, nahanda naman na ang pagkain ko
"Were good Dad, our driver go to my university first then we will fetch Elly on her school" sabi ni Kyle tumango naman si Tito sa kanya "Elly will wait for you outside? Are you not afraid now iha?" tanong ni Tita
"I have one friend po Tita, and Kyle and the driver fetch me on time" sabi ko tumango naman sila "What happened on school? Tell us more" sabi ni Tito nagkatinginan naman kami ni Kyle
"I take long quiz earlier in Media theory and research..." sabi ni Kyle, natahimik naman ako, he will admit that it his fault "How is it? It's your favorite subject" sabi ni Tita, Kyle bow his head
"I passed, but I have three wrongs I'm sorry for not getting a perfect score Mom, Dad, I will do better next time" sabi ni Kyle na parang kasalanan niya na hindi siya perfect, I saw Tito took a deep breath.
"Son, it's okay, reaching perfect score doesn't define what your ability and intelligent is, for us if you failed or passed where still very proud of you" sabi ni Tito, gulat naman na tumingin si Kyle sa parents niya.
"Your not mad? For me?" tanong ni Kyle umiling naman si Tita at inabot ang kamay ni Kyle "No, why would we? Atleast you passed, and we don't pressure you son, just do what makes yourself happy okay? Were here" sabi ni Tita.
"Thanks Mom and Dad" sabi ni Kyle I'm happy for him, then Tita look at me "You iha? Did you also take quiz?" Tita ask me umiling naman ako "My quiz is tomorrow Tita about Foreign Language po" sabi ko nginitian naman ako ni Tita.
"Goodluck iha, I'm sure your parents is so proud of you"sabi ni Tita ngumiti naman ako sa kanya "Thanks Tita" sabi ko kumain na ulit kami, "Ahm, Tito, Tita, can I request something?" tanong ko pareho naman nila akong binalingan
"About what?" tanong ni Tito, uminom muna ako ng tubig bago nagsalita "I'm going to my classmate house this Saturday, and we're doing activity in Travel and Tourism, can I go?" tanong ko, I feel nervous cause what if they don't let me?
"Your group mate is guy? Or girl?" tanong ni Tita, binalingan naman ako ni Kyle "Guy po Tita, he's my friend po" sabi ko, mas lalo akong kinabahan dahil nagkatinginan muna sila Tito at Tita
"Ace?" tanong ni Kyle tumango naman ako "Yep, he's the only one I close with in that subject, and if you let me po? Can I go?" tanong ko huminga naman ng malalim si Tita
"What if? Your friend will go here? I mean, your parents trust us to keep you safe, and to make you safe, maybe your friend name Ace? Will go here?" sabi ni Tita nagulat naman ako
"It's okay po?" tanong ko tumango naman si Tito "Yes iha, and to make you safe iha" sabi ni Tito ngumiti naman ako, "Thank you so much po" sabi ko nginitian lang nila ako pagkatapos ay kumain na ulit kami.
Pagkatapos ay dumiretso na kami ni Kyle sa mga kwarto namin, pero bago yun ay tinawag na muna niya ako. "If it's okay, I'm here in the house this Saturday?" sabi niya nagtaka naman ako sa kanya "What do you mean?" tanong ko
"I mean, Ace will be here this Saturday, I mean you comfortable when I'm here too? With the two of you?" tanong niya natawa naman ako bago tumango sa kanya. "Of course, I'm more comfortable when your around" I said and he smiled.
"Thanks, I'm always at your side to make you comfortable more"
