Chapter 5: Every goodbye has a new hello
Casey's POV
I woke up and looked around. Where the hell am I!?!? I jumped up and realized I was in a RV. The memories yesterday suddenly came back hitting me like a ton of bricks.
" Morning beautiful." Sean sung happily from the living room. I smiled and suddenly felt happier with Sean around.
" Morning Cutie." I winked playfully at him and he laughed.
" Cutie?" He asked and I shrugged.
" You call me babe, or beautiful I thought I'd try something." I shrugged again.
" Where's Keegan?" I asked just now noticing he was missing.
" Work. He works afternoons." Sean explained. I nodded. Just then I remembered something.
" Where is my car parked?" I asked.
"Like right outside. Why?" He questioned.
" I have to get something out of it." I said and he nodded. I quickly ran out of the RV and to my car. I opened the drivers door and reached under the seat for the rip in the seat cover where my whole weeks pay was hidden. I grabbed it and hurried back into the RV. I got down a jar and shoved the money inside. Sean looked at me puzzled so I decided I explain.
" Future savings." I said simply. He nodded and went to his bag. He grabbed his pay for the week and it was my turn to be puzzled. He walked over to the jar and put his money inside too.
" I want my future to be with you." Sean whispered serious. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly.
" Me too." I murmured into his chest.
" Let's do something today." He suggested.
" We don't have to go to work until 4pm and its 10am now." He encouraged.
" Ok like what?" I asked. He only smirked.
" Why that, is a surprise." He said mysteriously his blue eyes sparkling.
" Oh god." I laughed but agreed.
" Ok let's go." He said and we headed out the door.
" I don't know where to go so you can drive." I told him handing him my keys. He nodded then we climbed in. As we drove into town, little things - one direction came on the radio. Sean looked at me and started singing. Singing. He wasn't that bad either.
" Your hand fits in mine like its made just for me, we'll bear this in mind, it was meant to be. I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks and it all makes sense to me."
" I know you never loved the crinkles by your eyes, when you smile you never love your stomach or your thighs, the dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine, but I love them endlessly."
" I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth. But if I do, it's you, oh it's you they add up too, I'm in love with you, and all these little things."
" You can't go to bed with a cup of Starbucks, maybe that's the reason
that you talk in your sleep. And all those conversations are the secrets that I keep, though it makes no sense to me." He changed and I laughed. A few minutes later we arrived at.... Starbucks. Go figure.
" We're just getting a coffee then going to the place were close." Sean promised. I nodded and we went through the drive through and bought our coffees then headed to whoever Sean was taking me.
" Are we there yet?" I complained after 5 minutes of driving.
" Almost." Sean chuckled. Another 5 minutes of driving we pulled up at a hospital.
" Why are we at a hospital?" I asked very confused.
" So my mom creeped my Facebook and asked my friends from my
old school for my number and someone gave it to here, and she texted me saying she's dying of prostate cancer and if me and Keegan come see her before she died, me and Keegan can split her life savings, which has $500,000 in it. " He explained.
" She won the lottery a few years ago and apparently saved it for us because she got diagnosed that day." He added.
" I would have done it even without the money, if the women who gave birth to me was dying even though she wasn't there my whole life." He confessed.
" I'm proud of you Sean." I said.
" Thank you Casey. Keegan should be getting off work soon and he's meeting us here." Sean said nervously. Just as he said that a public bus stopped and Keegan jumped out of it and started walking towards us. Keegan looked nervously at Sean who gave him a reassuring smile. We walked into the hospital and went up to the front desk thing.
" We're here to visit Alanna Adams." Sean said quietly.
" She's in room 414." The nurse said with a sad smile.
" Thank you." He mumbled and we entered the elevator. A minute later we stopped and continued down a long corridor. Finally we reached a door with the number 414 on it.
" You guys can do it." I encouraged seeing their nervous faces. The both took deep breaths and we went inside. A middle-age women was laying in the bed with a whole bunch of wires hooked up to her. She looked excused.
Her eyes tired, shoulders sagging, thin as a twig, and really pale. But yet she was really pretty. Blonde hair like Sean but Keegan's green eyes. The door closed behind us and the women looked up at us.
" Sean? Keegan?" She asked hoarsely in awe.
" Hi mom." Keegan said quietly.
" I missed you guys so much and who's this fine young lady?" She exclaimed.
" My girlfriend Casey." Sean answered and I gave a small wave.
" My babies, you've grown up so fast." She whispered.
" Wouldn't you know." Sean said sharply suddenly getting mad. This won't go well....
Sean's POV.
" Wouldn't you know." I said sharply, suddenly getting mad. I know she's dying but she never even tried to contact us at all in almost 10 years. She sighed, a sad look on her face.
" Boys come here." She said gesturing to the empty be beside her. Me and Keegan slumped down.
" So I left because believe it or not, your dad was abusive. I thought it was just me so I left so you guys wouldn't have to be around that. Then I tried to contact you guys, but your dad never let me and changed his phone number and moved across the state and I'm so lucky I found a way to contact you boys, I love you so much and it broke my heart to leave but I wanted to tell you this before I died." My mom broke down sobbing. I was shocked so he was always abusive, go figure.
" Does your dad know you boys are visiting me now?" She asked when she was calm. I looked at Keegan, then Casey and squirmed uncomfortably in my seat.
" Um we don't live with him anymore..." I trailed off.
" What?? Why?? Where do you guys live now???" She asked worriedly.
" We'll he was kinda very extremely abusive to us so we packed our bags and now we all live in an RV for now." I explained. He gasped and started crying hysterically, worse then before.
" Sean! Keegan! I'm so sorry!! I'm a terrible mother!! I should have called the police... Or or or came back or something!!" She wailed.
" It's ok mom." Me and Keegan said in sync and hugged her to try to calm her.
" I love you guys so much." She managed now breathing short and fast now.
" Mom called down." I cried alarmed. Some equipment started beeping and doctors and nurses rushed in.
" We need you guys to leave." A doctor commanded rushing us out the door. As soon as we were pushed out the door, me and Keegan started pacing. I took a chance and looked into room through the door window and immediately wish I hadn't. A doctor was standing over her with shock paddles in her hand. 3 seconds later her back was arched off the bed. And again. And again until I couldn't handle it and crumpled to the ground. A minute later the same doctor came out and I didn't need to hear it but e told us anyways.
" I'm very sorry but Alanna Adams didn't make it." He apologized. Keegan slumped to the ground beside me and started crying.
" Thank you." Casey said quietly dismissing the doctor. She crawled over to me and Keegan and hugged us both.
" It's gonna be ok guys." She promised.
Keegan got up and wiped his face.
" I'm gonna go to Cam's house." Keegan murmured. I nodded and watched him leave.
" We have to go to the bank." I told Casey.
" Are you sure you wanna go so soon?" She asked me concerned. I nodded shakily. And she helped me to my feet. We walked to her car in silence. When we got to the bank I took out the piece of paper with my moms PIN number on it and went into the bank alone. The bank was nearly empty so I got to the machine quickly. I took all the money out because I knew my dad would be contacted soon and he'd try to take all her money from her account. I got some weird looks from people but ignored them and went back to the car. I suddenly felt better knowing this is a new start. $250,000 is a lot of money towards a new life. I handed the envelope to Casey with a smile plastered on my face.
" New life!!" I exclaimed. She grinned happily. Now we get to go home.
Casey's POV
I can't believe we practically just watched Sean and Keegan's mom die right in front of us. But I'm happy because at least their handling it well. And with that money, we can have a head start at a new life. When we got the our lot we hurried inside. Sean shoved the envelope in our savings jar. Then hugged me happily.
" Tomorrow were gonna go look at houses for when we graduate!" He exclaimed. I grinned at how happy he was.
" So who's house did Keegan sat he was going to?" I asked. Sean shifted uncomfortably.
" Cameron's." he answered.
" Oh is he his friend?" I asked.
" Kinda...." He trailed off. I looked at him confused and he sighed.
" Promise not to tell or to judge?" He asked me. I nodded eagerly.
" Keegan is bisexual and Cameron is his 6 month boyfriend." Sean told me dead serious. I was a bit surprised. I never thought as Keegan as bi but I was complete ok with it. As long as he has someone and he's happy.
" Aw that's cute." I exclaimed.
" Ya they're getting pretty serious." Sean said nervously.
" We'll have you met him yet?" I asked.
" Um no. Is that a bad thing?" He asked.
" No but we should meet him soon. What do you know about him?" I asked.
" That he's in grade 11 and
17 (Keegan is in grade 10/16 years old) and he lives with his together parents." He said. I nodded.
" There, we could have him over for dinner tomorrow after house looking." I suggested.
" That would be great!" He exclaimed.
" I'll call Keegan." He said then dialled Keegan's cell number.
" Yellow." Keegan answered.
" Hey can Cameron come to our RV for dinner tomorrow?" Sean asked.
" One second..." Keegan said then there was some muffled talking in the background then Keegan came back on.
" Ya he can come." He said happily.
" Ok see you guys then." Sean said.
" Ok bye." Keegan hung up.
"now that that's all settled lets get ready for work." I grumbled.
" Yep." He agreed. We each took a quick shower ya be Kelly our RV has a shower. Then found our bar shirts and apron pouch things and put them on. When we were ready we headed off to work.

Work was boring: serving drinks and food all night. The only highlight I think was when one guy had too much to drink and had to get kicked out. We came home excused but with more money in our pockets.
" Ugggg." Sean groaned when we were in the door.
" I agree im gonna get out of my uniform and into my pjs then go to bed." I told him. He nodded.
I went to the bathroom and changed. I feel comfortable around Sean it's just I don't want something to lead to another then.... Ya. When I was done I came out of the bathroom and saw Sean already laying on the bed in his pyjama bottoms and a white tang top. Damn he looks really hot right now.
" Come lay with meee." Sean pleaded holding his arms out. I laughed and walked over to the bed. I flopped down beside him and he hugged me from behind so we were kinda spooning. Some people might think spooning is like sexual or something, but it doesn't have to be and those people are dipshits. Kinda spooning with Sean is sweet, comfy, and relaxing.
" Casey." He whispered.
" What?" I asked.
" Turn around." He murmured. Confused I turned around until i was looking Sean in the eye. He leaned forward and kissed my lips briefly.
" Goodnight beautiful." Sean whispered. I couldn't help the smile that came on my face.
" Goodnight cutie." I said.
" I'm still trying to find a nickname for you." I added. He laughed. Things were finally looking up for us. You know what they say; every goodbye has a new hello.

Ok just so you all know I wanted Keegan to be bi so he is, if you have a problem with it idfc because its my book. This story is mainly focused around Sean and Casey so it won't have a lot of Keegan and Cam so all you boyxboy haters, relax. It will not have any Keegan and Cameron PDA other then maybe a quick kiss or hug or shit like that. Sorry I may have cams across bitchy but I needed to say that and get my point across.
