At night in Leonia's room
The moonlight was shinning through the window.
Leonia's eyes opened as she stared at the ceiling of her bed.
Leonia got up though she soon felt a ping (high-pitched ringing sound) run through her head. Leonia stared to fall back down.
Her hair fluttered and before she fully hit her head on her pillow a hand reached out and pat her head.
Leonia glanced up and saw Duke Phileo looking down at her with his face scrunched up in worry.
"You still have a fever, so lay down." Duke Phileo said as he lowered Leonia's head.
Leonia simply stared at Duke Phileo with lips parted.
Duke Phileo also stared at Leonia.
"Hey mister...." Leonia mumbled as she reached her hand out.
"And you were sleeping the entire time. Your mother is still sleeping she hasn't woken up yet." Duke Phileo said.
"...Because of the 'Beast's and Snake's fang?'" Leonia questioned.
Soon her eyes widen as a strike of lightning went through her mind of the memories that happened before.
She remembers how her eyes became yellow, used the beast fangs, the maids falling because of pain, and especially how her mother stepped in and used most of her mana to protect the people near them. But also how she calmed her down and use mana as well to calm her down.
"...I'm sorry..." Leonia apologized as she covered half of her face.
She would need to apologize to her mother as well.
"Why so formal all of a sudden?" Duke Phileo asked with an eyebrow raised.
"But, i did something wrong..." Leonia said.
"What's you do wrong?" Duke Phileo asked.
"I caused an incident..." Leonia said.
"What incident?" Duke Phileo questioned.
"....Using your powers?" Duke Phileo questioned.
"....Yeah...." Leonia answered.
'Her condition is....serious. Much worse than when she rode the gate for the first time though not as worse unlike her mother....' Duke Phileo thought as he remembered his wife pale face though her color was slowly coming back.
"Did you use it on purpose?" Duke Phileo asked.
'That time- At least they weren't self-conscious like how they are now.' Duke Phileo thought.
"No, but...." Leonia started as her eyes became glossy.
"....I got angry." Leonia answered as tears pooled in her eyes.
"She told me i need to know my place but what got me really angry was that mom needs to know her place especially..." Leonia said as she turned her body around and she shoved her head in the pillow.
"And what is Your place?" Duke Phileo asked Leonia as he already knew what Annelise would say and of course he would deny on what she said on what her place is.
"I don't know...." Leonia said as tears streamed down her face.

~I had become a new person when i opened my eyes one day.~
In a world without my family,
Without the places I visit often, sometimes to the point of exhaustion,
And of course without the things i always brought around.
Though soon someone came and helped me....
She was there when i needed it. She took care of me when no one did. She protected me. She reached out to me when i was alone in the dark just like a sun lighting up my darkest times....
She became my adopted mother and she was just like me someone who became a new person.
Though she became the person she is before i became this new person....I could trust her with anything...
We both told stories of are past life i felt free and i felt like i could say anything when i am with her without worrying about me spilling out my past life...
And when i found i couldn't go back, she was there to comfort me.
That was when,
That I'd survive with my adopted mother.
That i'd will get back at the people who made me miserable. As well at the people who made my adopted mother walk for hours to town back and forth in pain just to make money.

"...Mister," Leonia called out as she lifted her head up as tears dripped down on her pillow.
"Who am i?" Leonia asked as she turned her head and looked at Duke Phileo.
"Am i an orphan with no memories?" Leonia asked as tears streamed down her face.
Duke Phileo's eyes became widen as he stared at Leonia.
"The daughter of a commoner dancer? Or the biological daughter of an idiot who eloped( Run away secretly in order to get married, especially without parental consent.)

'I' wasn't like that.
I miraculously met the main character of a fantasy novel, Mom also miraculously met the main character before i had met him.
And i was given the name "Leonia."
Me and Mom was treated better than we could've ever hoped,
And me and mom felt are heart's warm up again at their kindness.
But i couldn't ever shake the feeling that none of this was 'really mine.' Mom must of felt the same...
"That's all the more reason to know your position. Especially you my lady." Countess Tedross last sentence directed at Annelise.
Those couple words kept poking at part of myself I'd been trying to ignore. But i could tell that the words she said was mostly poking at mom and at the part she was trying to ignore like me.
In the original story,
Phileo Boleoti never had an adopted daughter nor a wife.
In the story, "Leonia Boleoti" or "Annelise Boleoti" never existed.
Why had a complete outside like me and mom come into this world before the beginning of the original story?
"You both don't belong here."

Tears were streaming down Leonia's face.
Leonia pushed her face in the pillow. Leonia wanted to go and run towards her mother's arms and let her mother comfort her. Since her mother knew how to comfort her. She felt safe and secured in her mother's arms.
Sniffs were only heard in her room.
Duke Phileo looked at Leonia.
"Leonia." Duke Phileo called out as he reached his hand out.
"Leonia." Duke Phileo called out once again as he held Leonia's hand.
"Leo." Duke Phileo called out once more but with her nickname.
Leonia lifted her head up and stared at Duke Phileo. Her eyes were puffy.
Duke Phileo stared at her as a smirk formed on his lips looking at her puffy eyes and a little laugh left his lips.
"WAAH!!!!"
Leonia screamed as tick marks grew on her face.
"WHY!! WHY LAUGH!! WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING!!" Leonia yelled.
"I'm not." Duke Phileo said blankly.
"YOU LAUGHED! YOU MADE FUN OF ME FOR LOOKING DUMB!!!" Leonia yelled as she hit his chest.
"And you're aware you look dumb?" Duke Phileo said with a sigh.
Duke Phileo then brought Leonia closer to him with her blanket.
"Idiotic." Duke Phileo said wiping Leonia's tears.
Leonia then glanced away and looked at one thing which was...
"Muscles..." Leonia mumbled as she put her face near his muscles.
"How is that what you think about in this situation?" Duke Phileo said with dread in him.
"I like them, so what can i do...mom also likes them..." Leonia said.
"I guess you're not sick enough then." Duke Phileo said.
Duke Phileo pat Leonia's back 3 times.
Duke Phileo looked at the window as his hold on Leonia tighten. He is worried for Annelise he has no idea if she is alright. Yes her pale face wasn't that pale now but still blood came out of her mouth...
Duke Phileo sigh as he looked at Leonia and closed his eyes.

I hope you like it no to much of Annelise is seen though hope you still like it.
Next chapter won't be a chapter from the manhwa it will be a chapter of what is happening with Annelise so ya.
