"A WITCH?" Ophelia questioned.
"Magic isn't real though." She added.
Ophelia buried her face in her hands.
Calytrix frowned slightly.
Seeing a frown on Calytrix's face made Ophiuchus glare at Ophelia.
"Who told you that?" She asked.
"My Uncle..." Ophelia answered.
"Piece of shit!" Many spat at his mention.
"He's stupid." Calytrix declared.
"That's my, Starflower." Ophiuchus said.
"That's my, Angel." Ophelia smiled.
Both of them looked at each other, as they spoke together in perfect sync, before glaring towards
each other.
"Why does this seem like a love triangle with Calytrix in the center of it all?" Regulus asked.
Causing many to agree.
While ideas were coming to shippers.
"Magic is real and I can prove it!" Ophelia watched as Calytrix grinned before taking a step back.
Calytrix flicked her wrist, and suddenly beneath where she stood, over a dozen of starflowes and moonflowers appeared.
Lily took note of the flowers's symbolism.
Starflowers, mean innocence, purity, honesty, hope and forgiveness.
Moonflowers, means to blossom in dark times.
Ophelia's eyes widen.
She was at a lost for words.
"See! Magic is real!" Calytrix beamed at Ophelia brightly.
"Does anyone have sunglasses? My eyes are starting to hurt from how bright her smile is." Marlene asked.
Calytrix then looked at Ophelia whom was frozen, making Calytrix making her worry.
"OhnodidIjustbreakher?!" Calytrix exclaimed quickly.
Ophiuchus, Silas, Elias, and Ophelia, all looked at the screen fondly.
"Daffodil, is going to be disappointed in me!" She then rushed towards Ophelia.
"Daffodil?" Lily questioned.
"Calytrix, gives us names based on flowers." Elias explained. "She called me either, Thyme, or Tansy. Silas, is called Heather. Daffodil is Narcissus. While Ophiuchus was given, Heliotrope."
Lily immediately translated the each of the flowers meaning and symbolism.
Thyme means courage and strength, while tansy is hostile thoughts, and declaration of war.
Heather is a symbol of admiration, and protection.
Daffodil is another name for the Narcissus Flower, and means rebirth and new beginnings. Yet they're also poisonous. So daffodils have been associated with bad luck and misfortune as well. Like in how back in medieval times, it was thought that gazing upon a drooping daffodil would foretell your impending death.
Heliotrope is traditionally symbolic of eternal love and devotion. Lily's mind remembering the Duchess, who's eyes were the color of heliotrope.
"She called me, Dahlia." Ophelia spoke up. "When I asked her which kind of dahlia, she told me the, Black Dahlia."
Dahlia symbolizes the commitment and the eternal bond between two people. Used to express intimate, personal feelings, they represent elegance and dignity. The dahlia is also a symbol of loyalty and happiness for your loved ones. The dahlia is a symbol of change, which can also represent betrayal.
There's no doubting the symbolism behind the black dahlia. While most dahlia flowers hold positive meanings, this dark flower is linked to something a bit more sinister.
Often, black dahlias are mentioned as conveying negative emotions, like betrayal and sadness.
However, this is only one way of looking at the symbolism of dark colored flower. As the dark purple color of the black dahlia can also represent passion and power.
Which is how Ophelia views Calytrix's meaning.
Calytrix proceeded to poke her face with a stick she found on the ground, when Ophelia didn't respond to it, Calytrix started to freak out even more.
"Oh no! I did break someone!"
"She is so adorable." Many said as cooed at her.
Calytrix then did the only thing she could think of at the moment.
She rummage through her bag, and took out a fairly medium sized white pastry box, and opened it, to reveal over a dozen heart shaped chocolate chip cookies.
Ophiuchus, Silas, Elias, and Ophelia, all started at those cookies in longing.
Calytrix was an amazing baker.
She took a pair of cookies out and out the box back into her bag.
Stuffing a cookie in her mouth—
"Love her priorities." Remus said.
—while she put her free hand on Ophelia's face and opened her mouth, and proceeded to stuff the other cookie inside.
"What...?"
Which seemed to work, for once Calytrix pulled away Ophelia had been brought back to reality and snapped out her trance, once she tastes the cookie that was in her mouth.
To Ophelia, the cookies were paradise.
"They really were. I could eat those forever." Ophelia said happily. "I would eat anything and everything she makes."
Ophiuchus, couldn't help buy silently agree.
Calytrix's baking was perfection.
She ate it quickly and smiled at Calytrix who beamed seeing Ophelia smile.
Till Ophelia started feeling dizzy.
Then fainted.
Ophelia buried her face into Louis's chest in embarrassment.
Louis just patted her head.
Causing Calytrix to panic.
"I just killed someone!"
Many laughed at her reaction.
While Ophiuchus felt a sense of déjà vu.
Calytrix then realized what she did.
Ophelia seemed highly malnourished, and Calytrix gave her chocolate, that is filled with alot of sugar.
Because of that Ophelia's body went into shock from having so much sugar suddenly into her system.
"That makes sense." Those whom didn't understand why she fainted did now.
Calytrix cursed herself.
She should have remembered this, especially since this had happened before with him.
Ophiuchus silently looked away.
Calytrix moved towards Ophelia's unconscious form, sitting down by her
side and placing her head onto her lap.
'Damn lucky, Bunny.' Ophiuchus thought bitterly.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, as she created flowers next to her and began to weave a flower crown together.
Ophiuchus frowned.
Flower crowns were they're thing.
Seeing her make a crown for someone else, especially Ophelia made him feel a bit betrayed.
Silas and Elias looked at Ophiuchus, knowing what is to come in the future.
She chose very specific flowers.
Gentians, they represent a few things. Such as victory, passion, charm, loveliness and sweetness. Also sometimes are even called flower of victory because of its upward flowering shape.
For some reason many associated those flowers with the kaleidoscope eyed, Prince.
Moonflowers, also called Angel's Tears mean dreaming of love, morning glory, love in vain, affection. They glow just like a full moon, it holds the meaning of the mysteries of the intuition and the mystical movement of the stars and moon.
Ophelia smiled at that.
She is her brother's Moonflower. As Astrophel told her before, she is the light in his life.
Campanulas, they represents gratitude, humility, attractiveness and everlasting love. It is also associated with death, and is often planted on graves.
With the mention death, some noticed the subtle mentioning and connection of the Peverell bloodline the Potter's have.
Another is, Venus' Looking Glass.
The story behind this name is as follows, the Roman goddess of love, Venus.
Venus whom is very vain and owns a magic looking glass. Anyone who looks into this mirror, sees itself as beautiful, even if they were very ugly.
"I need that." The self conscious members of Hogwarts said.
One day, Venus lost her mirror and a shepherd boy finds it. Very soon, he is addicted to looking at himself in the looking glass.
Venus asks Cupid to return it to her, and when Cupid finds the shepherd boy, he has to shoot him in the hand, because he doesn't want to hand over the mirror.
"Snow White, Evil Queen vibes much?"
The mirror hits the ground hard and gets shattered. The shards bloom into breathtaking Campanula flowers.
"That is quite a nice myth, minus the murder."
"The murder makes it better."
Along with Asters flower, that are a unique daisy like wildflower that's known for its star shaped flower head.
Aster meanings include love and wisdom.
With a rich history in Greek mythology, it's said that the aster was created by the tears of the Greek Goddess of Innocence, Astraea.
Many couldn't help but picture Calytrix as Astraea.
She was so upset by how few stars there were in the dark sky, that she began to cry. As she wept, her tears fell to the ground and turned into star shaped aster flowers. Thus, the flower was named after her, with aster meaning star.
Which had lead them to being called, Heaven's Tears.
"Angel's Tears, now Heaven's Tears? Damn that is alot of crying." Barty said.
Another interpretation is that asters were created when Virgo scattered stardust over the Earth. Where the stardust settled, aster flowers bloomed.
The aster is also an emblem of the Roman Goddess, Venus. Asters are also referred to as the Herb of Venus because they were commonly used in making love potions.
"Venus' Looking Glass, now Herb of Venus? What is next, Venus's heart?" Barty added.
While others looked at Ophiuchus.
As Venus is also known as the eveingstar.
During the Victorian era in England, people would commonly use flowers to send secret, coded messages to each other. A message with an aster signified love and devotion to the recipient.
"That is so sweet. Why don't you do that?" A Slytherin girl asked her boyfriend, whom was trying to avoid her question.
The aster flowers he used were purple which means royalty, red that symbolizes undying devotion, and pink that meant love.
"Calytrix, always used to say she wanted to have a daughter named, Aster." Ophiuchus said softly with fondness evident in his eyes. "For asters, represents both flowers and stars, both things she loves."
Everyone noticed how when they talk about her in the past-tense.
Both of Silas's and Elias's hold on each other's hand tighten even more.
Calytrix hums a soft melody of a poem, as she weaves together the flowers.
"Over it the Star of Evening,
Melts and trembles through the purple,
Hangs suspended in the twilight." She hummed.
"The Song of Hiawatha XII. The Son of the Evening Star, a poem by— Henry Wadsworth Longfellow." Ophelia said.
Many started at her.
"How do you even know that?" Hermione asked.
"Aleksis. He loves poetry." She answered.
While other focused on when Calytrix mentioned the eveningstar, some looking at Ophiuchus, as it is his namesake.
So many questions.
The biggest being— Calytrix Caelum.
