His scent was all over her wing, I would rip his head off his body if it's the last thing I do.
"Genesis" I growled knocking at her door.
"Open the fucking door" my voice had dropped octaves lower.
"Now"
GENESIS
The King's voice boomed through the door, and a slight shudder ran up my spine.
Michael's eyes as wide as saucers met my equally frightened ones, and almost instantly I felt much sober than I was before.
Cautiously I walked towards the door, and pulled it open slightly.
"How may I help you-" before the sentence had completely left my throat he had barged in, teeth bared and seething.
He stalked towards Michael, emitting his dominance forcing everyone in a mile distance to submit to him. Michael fell to his knees, curling him self into a fetal position while baring his neck.
"So extra" I whispered, but that was enough to capture the attention of the beast. With lightning fast speed his direction changed and he stalked towards me.
With my neck bared, I felt a slight tremor run down my spine at the closing proximity.
"Maybe you're not extra enough Genesis" in one swift motion he reached forward, grabbing me by the waist and nuzzled into the crock of my neck.
My back tensed and I couldn't stop myself from leaning into his touch as light electric charges danced on my skin.
This can't be.
Shaking my head I stepped out of the King's embrace, determined to place as much distance between us as possible.
Shaking my head once, then twice, hoping to clear the misleading sensation from my mind. The mate bond is only activated and recognized by the joining of hands.
"I'll say it again, I am not a patient man Genesis" he growled, drawing me from my thoughts.
"But for you I will wait" he used his finger to lift my chin.
"If you take too long I'll have no choice but to take what belongs to me"
He had significantly calmed since barging in here, and for that I am grateful. Whatever it is that had temporarily distracted him, I thank the Goddess for that.
His laser sharp eyes found Michael cowering in the corner and scuffed.
"I refuse to believe that she would be entertaining a wolf of your pedigree outside of being platonic. That is the only reason your throat is still in tact" his voice bordered being disgusted as he walked over to Michael clothes.
Kicking them in his direction, Michael scurried to gather all the pieces.
"Get dressed, you start training today because this is simply embarrassing"
He turned towards the door and I watched as he moved with grace, taking note of his muscles that were still very tense in his back.
His pupils were dilated, evidence of his wolf still being present. I felt winded by his presence and the strange feelings he incites within me.
"And Genesis" He regarded me with his body half way through the door.
"In this life nor the next, don't you ever allow yourself to be alone in a room with a naked male" his voice had dropped octaves lower but the power it held made me unknowingly submit.
"Unless that man is me"
And he left.

I've been gone so long but I'm hellbent on finishing this book. Life has thrown me a lot of lemons lately but we press on!
