"When were you going to tell us that you two were dating?" My mom asks.
Wow, thanks a fucking lot Axton.
This stupid fake relationship was just supposed to be in front of Cameron and Madison and now everyone knows.

"Mom, we literally just started dating. Plus, we wanted to keep our relationship as private as possible." I mumble.
"Well, I think it's great!" Lili's mom says, a large smile plastered onto her face.
"I do too, it's just...surprising."
"How?" I ask.
"Oh I don't know, maybe because you two argue 24/7." She says.
"No, we don't," I argue.
"Yes, you do." My sisters say at the same time.
I glare at them and they both stick their tongue out at me.
"So, how long have you two been together?" Lili's dad asks.
"A couple of weeks, sir," I reply.
"Right well, you're a smart boy Jesse and I bet you know the drill by now." He says.
"What drill?" Lili asks.
Suddenly her dad leans over, right in front of my face.
"If you hurt her like that other fucker sitting next to her, I won't hesitate to kick your ass." Her dad threatens and I gulp.
Lili's mom may be a super sweet lady but her dad is by far the most intimidating man I have ever met in my life.
"Uh- you have my word." I nervously laugh.
"That's what Cameron said as well." He mutters.
I almost burst out laughing when I look over at Cameron and his face begins to turn red.
"Dad! I'm not a little girl anymore. I can handle myself. Jesse is nothing like Cameron and you know it."
Her dad just continues glaring at me while Lili and I try to continue eating but everyone's eyes are still on us.
"Anyways...can I borrow the beach house in Maui during winter break?" Xander blurts.
Thank god! I swear he's the best at switching topics.
"What? Why do you need it?" His mom asks.
"My friends and I want to go somewhere during break and since you guys never use the house...I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask."
"What friends? You never told me about it." I laugh.
"Well, consider this your invite."
"Dude-"
"Fine, only if you bring your brother with you." Xander's dad interrupts me.
"WHAT?! Whyyy! Axton is the most boring person on this planet!" He groans.
"Thanks." Axton sends him a fake smile.
"There's no way in hell I'm allowing you to go with a bunch of teenagers alone, you need an adult." His dad explains.
"I'm 18! I am an adult." Xander explains.
"You still sleep with the stuffed animal I got you when you were 6 honey." His mom says suddenly and Xander's face immediately starts turning red.
"You leave Cuddles out of this." He warns.
"I'm not going," Axton mutters.
"Please!"
"No."
"PLEASE!"
"Who's going?" Axton asks.
"Oh um...I was planning on inviting Arya, Catalina, Jesse, and Asher but now that Jesse has a girlfriend, Lili you are invited as well. Also, Arya refuses to let her best friend be alone during the break so her friend Ryan and her douchey boyfriend-"
"I'll go." Axton blurts.
"Wait. Really?" Xander gasps.
"Yeah, why not? I just realized that I need a vacation."
"Yes!" Xander hugs his brother but quickly pulls away after he realizes what he's doing.
Soon enough the whole table begins to talk amongst themselves again and Lili and I excuse ourselves.
"So, wanna come to Maui with us?" I ask Lili once we reach the backyard.
She's still pretty shaken up after Axton outed us in front of both of our families.
"It's fine, I wouldn't want to intrude." She mumbles.
Why does she think she would be intruding?
"You wouldn't be intruding anything." I laugh.
"It's just- I don't know...won't it be awkward?
"Not at all. Plus, I think we could both use a vacation, especially after all of that." I mumble.
"Oh, 100%. That was traumatizing." She laughs.
"Thanks for um...still being my boyfriend?" She questions.
"No problem and don't worry, this will all be over soon enough and we can go back to screaming at each other in no time." I laugh but she remains quiet.
"You- you wanna go back to disliking each other?" She asks.
Well no, not really but I just said that because I assumed that's what she wanted.
"Isn't that what you want?"
"Honestly, not really. As much as you piss me off sometimes, I think you're a great company to keep around."
"Great company? I think you mean a good friend."
"Yeah...let's not get too comfortable."
"Oh my- you are ridiculous!" I sigh as she begins to laugh.
If there's one thing about Lili that really draws me to her, it would 100% be her smile and laugh and that's mostly because she never smiles. She hates the way she looks when she smiles and I always tell her she sounds ridiculous but she never listens. Her smile and laugh are as contagious as chickenpox.
Ew, wait-
That was a gross comparison but you get what I mean.
"Who's ready to go to Maui!" We both look away from each other and towards the door. Xander, Axton, Cameron, and my sisters make their way over to us.
"I 100% am." I sigh and lean back on the bench.
"Same here." Lili laughs.
"Me too." I freeze and look over at Cameron.
"What?" I ask.
"Oh yeah, Xander invited Madison and me as well," Cameron says, a smirk taking over his face.
"What the fuck Xander!"
"Sorry man! My parents made me."
"Ugh shoot me," Lili mutters.
"Aww Lils, don't act like you don't want me there." He smiles.
"You're right, because why would I want my cheater ex on a trip I was originally invited to and he wasn't." She mutters.
That's my girl.
"Ugh, you guys are so lucky to be going to Hawaii! Mom and dad are forcing us to go on that stupid ski trip with them." Jade mutters.
Ah yes, the Annual Ramirez Ski Trip to Utah. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun staying at a 5-star ski resort and spending time with your family but, if your family is anything like mine, this trip is your worst nightmare.
My parents constantly fight, my dad ends up heading to the bar almost every night and doesn't come back till the morning while my mom just locks herself in her room and binge watches a bunch of shitty rom-coms.
Last year, my sisters and I got so fed up with them, we ended up taking one of the hotel shuttles into town and staying there until 2 AM. My parents never even noticed!
We could have been kidnapped and they would have never known.
"Oh lord, that sucks guys. What if you ask mom if you guys can stay at Aunt Priscilla's house in California? You guys can go visit Sophia and Rachel." I suggest.
"Oh my gosh, Jesse! You're a genius!" They both shoot up from their seats and make their way into the house.
"Ok so just to clarify it's gonna be me, Jess, you, Arya, Cameron, Axton, Madison, Asher, and Catalina?" Lili asks Xander.
"Yep and Arya's best friend Ryan and her stupid boyfriend." He mutters the last part.
"Why is her boyfriend stupid?" Axton asks.
"I met him the other day and he's literally the cockiest person I've met! cockier than you!" He points to his brother.
"Apparently, he was in some stupid dog food commercial and now he thinks he's the shit. Oh, and he barely acknowledges his girlfriend! I saw him flirt with other girls while his girlfriend was working." He continues.
"He sounds like a fucking prick," Axton mutters and I watch as he clenches his fists to the point where they start to turn white.
Huh? Weird...
"So why does he have to go?" I ask.
"Because I went to the diner yesterday just to ask Ryan and I didn't realize her boyfriend was there. So, when I asked, he replied for her and said 'we'll be there'. I was already too stressed with studying for finals so I didn't bother arguing with him. Plus it's her boyfriend, I figured she wants the company."
"Jeez, I hope he doesn't mess up this trip," Cameron says.
And for once, I agree with him.
----------Skip to the next day at school----------
Walking into school the next day, all eyes were on Lili and me.
I heard people mutter "wow, she dropped her standards" or "why would Jesse torture himself by dating a witch?"
I mean we couldn't catch a break.
"So how come I just heard a bunch of people talking about you and Liliana Xu being a couple?" Catalina asks as she and Arya take a seat at the table.
"Because we are," I mumble.
"Hahaha you're funny, I thought you said you were." Arya laughs and looks up at Xander but after noticing that he wasn't laughing she gasps.
"OH MY GOD! You're dating Liliana Xu?"
"Yes! Why does everyone find that so hard to believe!" I groan.
"Because you guys hate each other," Asher replies.
"NO WE DON'T!" I yell and at this point, everyone in the cafeteria is glaring at me.
"Jeez, calm down. I was kidding." Asher mumbles.
"You okay?" I look up and turn around to see my oh so lovely FAKE girlfriend looking at me with concern.
"Uh yeah- I'm fine," I say quickly before scooting over and tapping the spot next to me so she could sit.
I watch as she hesitates for a moment but eventually takes a seat.
Everyone at the table goes quiet and we all just awkwardly stare at each other.
"Oh for fucks sake! Liliana, I'm Arya, I know we already know each other but we've never talked before and this is Catalina." Arya and Catalina both warmly smile at Lili.
I immediately notice Liliana's stiff posture relax and she smiles back at them.
I look over at Arya and mouth a "thank you" and she just winks.
"Oh shit, I forgot to get something from my locker, I'll be right back," I whisper to Lili but she's too busy talking to Catalina and Arya about the trip she took to France last summer.
"Ok." She says before leaning over a placing a gentle kiss on my cheek.
I freeze for a moment, shocked at the fact that she just showed affection in front of the whole school but quickly shrug it off and head off towards my locker.
As I'm about to shut my locker and make my way back to my friends, someone stops me.
"Ah ah ah, now where do you think you're going?" She asks, her voice extremely seductive.
Ew.
"What do you want Madison?" I sigh and shut my locker.
"So you and Lili huh?"
"Mhm"
"I've wanted to get with you for years now and you've always rejected me. So, why her?"
"Because unlike you..." I begin to lean close to her.
"...she's not a fucking slut." She gasps and I laugh.
"Fuck you, Jesse!"
"Oh, I know you want to, too bad it will never happen." I start making my way down the corridor.
"Yeah, why do you sound so sure?" She blocks my path.
Bro! Does she not get the hint?
"Because one, I have a girlfriend, and two, you're Asher's ex."
"Well...I don't see your girlfriend." She mumbles and I feel her finger start roaming up my chest.
"Turn the fuck around." We both turn and see Lili standing there.
Oh shit.
"I just came here to check up on you babe. Everything okay?"
"Yep, Madison was just leaving. Weren't you? I smirk and grab Lili's waist, pulling her close to me.
"Yeah, whatever. See ya, Jess!" Madison winks and heads back towards the lunch tables.
"Damn, we haven't even been together for a week and you're already caught with another girl." Lili snorts.
Thank fuck, I thought she was gonna explode on me.
"She's so fucking annoying," I mutter.
"You got that right." We both laugh before we make our way back into the lunchroom.
As we were talking to my friends, I feel my phone vibrate.
