Harry arrived at the hospital wing and saw Y/n laying on one of the beds with her eyes closed. He saw from a distance she had a small scrape on her face.
He walked over and sat down beside her bed. Thinking she was most likely asleep, since she hadn't noticed him yet, he placed his hand on her arm.
"Hi Barry" she whispered, eyes still shut.
He drew back his hand with a gasp.
"Did I scare ya?" She grinned and sat up, "or did I just 'makE yOu neRVoUs'?"
"Shut up" he lightly shoved her.
"OW! Ohhhhh owwww!" She groaned dramatically.
"I'm sorry! Sorry! Are you ok?" He fussed.
"No, you've wounded me beyond repair!" She cried, clutching her arm.
Believing her momentarily, Harry pulled her into a hug and apologized a few times.
"Harry I'm joking! You can let go of me," she laughed, "...or don't, that's up to you"
"Is your arm really ok?"
"No, I'm bleeding out"
He pulled out of the hug and examined the scrape on her forehead.
"Look, we're twinning now" she smiled.
"Now I'm not the only scarhead in the group chat," he sat back and ran a hand through his hair, "So why're you sitting here anyway? You just got a few scrapes, right? Right?"
"Yes, just a few scrapes... and bruises... but, I was feeling dizzy so Madam Pomfrey gave me a bed, and wanted me to stay for awhile to monitor me, in case something actually happened to my head when I fell"
"You're not gonna lose all your memories, right?" Harry gasped, jokingly.
"Nooooo, wait- your name is Melvyn Bartholomew Westershine the third, right?"
Harry's jaw dropped and he pretended to collapse on her and weep, "Oh no! I've lost you!"
Y/n laughed and patted his head, "there there, not all is lost Barrold"
Harry smiled and shrugged, "Well, I guess I'll just stay here and keep you company, and make sure you remember everything, then"
"I would very much like that, thank you"
"Now hmmm," Harry tapped his chin while thinking, "what movie did we watch on our second date?"
"Frozen Two, duh" she playfully rolled her eyes.
"And what happened after we watched that movie?"
"You asked me to be your girlfriend"
"Well, I think you're all good" he grinned.
"Here, come sit" Y/n patted the spot on the bed next to her.
So, the two sat there and just began to talk.
"Hey, did you and Ron ever have those nickname things?"
"Nicknames? Well, I sometimes I call him 'Fatty Mc Ginger pubes', and he calls me 'Four-eyed Scar-freak'," Harry replied.
"No! Not for each other!" Y/n laughed, "I mean, when you were younger did you ever have nicknames for your crushes. But, I will be calling you 'Four-eyed Scar-freak' from now on,"
"Ohhhh crushes. Yeah, we did" he nodded.
"Did you have one for meeeee?" She grinned.
"Maybe..."
"What was it?" Y/n asked in excitement.
"I'm not telling you," Harry said, "How about you? Did you ever have one for meeeeee?"
"I'm nOt teLLinG yoU" she mimicked his tone.
"So, what changed your mind about me?" He asked and placed his head on her shoulder.
"Huh?"
"You used to hate me, and now you're completely taken with me,"
"Completely taken with you?" Y/n snorted, "don't know where you got that idea from"
Harry tilted his head so he could glare at her.
"If you're asking what made me start to develop feelings... Well, after my brother died, yup dropping that bomb right now, I realized that I had spent so much time 'hating' him, that I didn't spend enough time loving him and then he was gone," she sighed, "I decided from then on, that I would give people more of a chance. At that point, we were already sort of friends, and I thought, 'sure, let's be nicer to mister Potterson, who knows what could happen', and eventually I guess I started liking you..." Y/n explained.
"Wow. I saw you push your brother out of a tree once, and I was like- yup, she's the one for me"
"Awww how sweet" Y/n cooed and leaned into him.
"So, when did you finally decide you liked me?" Harry questioned.
"Well, after a long while of denial, it was around the time of the second Dumbledore's Army meeting, I think. You accidentally tripped when explaining something, and the first person you looked to, was me. And it took all my willpower not to burst out laughing. You went completely red and kept stuttering like crazy. As much as I hated to admit it, you were extremely adorable."
"You thought I was adorable?" He looked at her in surprise.
"Of course. It's really cute when you get all nervous and flustered," she smirked, "like right now"
Harry looked away from her, trying to rid the sudden colour on his cheeks.
"But anyways, now we're dating, even after all that" She smiled and linked their fingers together.
"Yeah," Harry breathed. And, in that moment, he felt truly happy.
