Arriving at the museum, the ninja walked in with Misako leading the way.
"The information we're looking for might still be in the files. We'll just have to look for it. It may take some time though." She said as walked with the ninja to the research room.
Opening the two doors, the seven of them walked inside. The ninja gaze around at the many shelves of files and artifacts that were under research and haven't been shown to the public. The room was big and the longer the ninja stared around, the more they knew that this was going to be harder than they thought.
Jay nervously chuckled before looking at Misako. "Uh... you don't so happen to know where it is, do you? Are they all in alphabet order or in numbers..? ...Years?" He asked.
Misako hummed. "I'm not sure..., we can't find it if we still aren't sure which language it's in. Or if it's on the undecided side." She said as she pointed towards the direction that held the most amount of files. It took about only half of the room but it was more disorganized than the other shelves.
Lloyd looked over at the amount of research that hung on the shelves and sighed. "Alright, let's get looking. Zane?" He asked as he looked to the other, wondering if he still had the book on him.
"I have it right here." Zane spoke as he pulled out the book from a satchel he brought along, keeping it safe and hidden. He laid it out on the table and opened the book to the page that was full of its mysterious writing.
The ninja walked over and circled around as they looked over at the writing.
Lloyd looked down before giving a small nod and back up to the others. "Alright, you guys have a good idea of what we're looking for? Then let's get to it."
Separating away from the table, the six began their search as Misako continued her progress in an attempt to translate the book.
The ninja searched, walking back and forth, making sure if they had found a match or needed another look at the writing.
But as they continued looking, hours passed and some had begun to grow tired.
"Ugh... this is going to take forever!" Jay whined before leaning back on one of the shelves. Unfortunately, he fell back against the shelf a bit too roughly, causing the first two stacks of files and research to come falling down on him. By the time he had looked up, it was already too late as they came falling down on him. Jay let out a quick yelp before he fell to the ground with a large pile of books and files on top of him.
The others looked back to Jay before Nya stepped in to aid him as she was closest to reaching him.
"Jay!" She said as she walked over to him.
"Nhg... I'm alright..." He said. "Could I get a hand though..?" He weakly asked as Lloyd came over to help remove the items and research off of him while Nya helped.
Removing the files and books off of the fallen male. The two helped Jay up from the ground and back to his feet. "You alright?"
Jay just nodded. "...Yeah, I'm good. Nothing that can't keep me down..." He said as he rubbed his head.
Nya paused as she noticed a familiar writing on a page from a file that had been poking out from the pile. She let out a gasp as she quickly grabbed the file and immediately opened it up. The writing was a perfect match. "Guys! I found it!" She shouted.
The others ran to her as they looked over at the pages inside the file.
Misako looked at the file before smiling. "Yes, this is exactly what we needed." She said with a proud smile.
Zane smiled as he watched them until he heard Pixal's voice.
'Zane, I'm afraid you and your friends have some trouble approaching...' She said before sending him the liv security footage.
"Hold on, Pixal has just caught something on the security cameras from the main entrance..." Zane said before presenting a flat hologram screen of the security footage and before zooming the footage's focus on the intruder.
Quickly recognizing the hooded intruder. The ninja knew who it was.
"Morro?! What's he doing here?" Cole asked as he looked at the hologram of the live footage.
Jay growled and shook his head. "Probably here for another round, the guy just never quites."
Lloyd nodded. "Yeah, neither do we... Cole. Jay. Nya. You three think you can hold him off?"
Cole looked at him and nodded. "You bet, come on." He said, motioning for the others and ran off with the two.
Lloyd watched as the others ran off before looking to his mother and Zane. "Zane, make sure you both get the book and file back to the Bounty." Lloyd said before looking back to Skylor. "You and I will try to stand guard and give them more time." He said before pulling out his sword.
Skylor looked at him and nodded before pulling out her two katanas.
Meanwhile,
Morro walked into the main hall and began to look around.
'You don't have to do this...' Kai spoke as he tried to get to Morro.
"Yes..., I do..." Morro spoke before walking forward. Placing up his hand, he pulled out the cursed sword of sanctuary and looked down at the cursed glowing blade. "Let's give them some havoc shall we?" He looked back forward and gazed around before stopping in front of a statue of a stone and metal warrior. He looked at it before raising up the sword and stabbed it. The cursed blade began to glow as cracks formed throughout the statue, followed behind a possessed glow. He quickly pulled the sword out and watched as the statue's eyes glowed a bright green before beginning to move. Getting up from its knee, it stood up and looked down at Morro, waiting for his demands.
Morro grinned at the possessed statue before looking down at the rest of statues of warriors, creatures, and legends.
(Cole, Jay, and Nya)
Running down the halls, Cole, Jay, and Nya slid to a halt as they entered the main room as they noticed something.
The room seemed a bit too empty... as the possessed ninja stood just a few feet away, facing them with the cursed sword in hand.
Jay looked around before speaking. "Uh guys? Is it me or does something feel like it's missing here?" He asked.
Cole nodded in response. "You're right, just keep your guard up." He said as he held up his deepstone scythe.
Nya glared at Morro until she had noticed the sword. "The sword of sanctuary..." She said as she stares at its now cursed blade. She noticed how it was no longer it's brilliant blue but instead and haunting green...
Morro looked at them before smirking. "Like what I've done with it? I thought it could use a new upgrade. I'd say we did a pretty good job with it,"He said and swung the blade around, "wouldn't you agree?" He asked as he looked back at three who glared at him. He only chuckled in response before getting into fighting position.
Cole lowered his head before speaking to the others. "Remember the plan-"
There was a loud yelp as Nya was snatched by metal hands as a large statue stood over them.
Jay and Cole stared eyes wide before shifting as they heard stomping coming from the other rooms as possessed statues made their way in.
Morro grinned before pointing his blade at them. "Kill them..." He said and the possessed statues lunged towards them.
(The others)
Taking the book off from the table, Zane placed it back, hidden in his satchel while Misako clung to the file in her arms. Their attention turned as they heard a loud crash coming from the direction where the three had left.
"That didn't sound good..." Skylor said.
Lloyd frowned before looking back at the two. "Zane, hurry and find an exit. We'll handle it from here." He said before, running out of the room with Skylor.
Zane looked at Misako before nodding. "Alright, let's try and find an exit." He just hoped they wouldn't run into whatever had made that sound.
(Cole, Jay, and Nya)
Jay watched as Nya was lifted off from the ground. Her hands trapped to her sides as she let another cry for help. "Nya!" Jay called out before a large weapon came down at them.
Cole and Jay yelped as they jumped back avoiding the attack.
There were a total of three possessed statues. The one holding Nya being the largest as the other two were barely double their sizes.
Cole watched before looking at Morro as he made his way, running to another hallway. He growled trying to make his way to him until the other two statues blocked him and swung an arm at him, shoving him away. Cole fell down to his back before looking up at the possessed statues as the spirits possessing the statue laughed as they approached him. Cole would be lying if he said the multiple haunting laughs didn't send him chills.
Jay quickly jumped up to the larger statue's arm. Clinging to it as he tried to get to Nya. "Hang on Nya! I got you!"
Nya struggled through the statue's iron grip as she tried to set herself free. "Nhg... could you be a bit faster?" She asked. As she tried pulling her arms out. If only she could be set free, then she could stop these statues with her powers.
(Lloyd and Skylor)
Lloyd and Skylor held out their weapons as they looked around, waiting for any sign of the other. The two had already begun making their way to finding an exit. He just hoped they would find one and reach the bounty on time.
Skylor looked around before she looked at Lloyd when he called for her.
"Skylor. Here, take this." He said as he handed her a red Aeroblade. "It was Kai's, you'll need it to help protect yourself from the ghost." He said to which she responded with a nod as she placed it away safely until needed.
The two immediately shifted when they saw the familiar figure walking down the room and towards them.
"Well well... if it isn't Kai's girlfriend and the kid he babysits. Both side by side..." Morro said as he stopped a good distance away from them. "This will be interesting~." He said with a grin.
(Cole, Jay, and Nya.)
With Cole fighting against the two statues on his own, he was beginning to struggle before pulling out his aeroblade and throwing it at one of the statues. He watched as it spun through the air and towards the statue for it to only bounce off and fall to the ground.
Jay couldn't help but watch as he saw how much harder the situation had just become."Are you kidding me?!" He asked before yelping as the larger statue he was holding onto began to move around in an attempt to shake him off. Jay immediately yelped as he clung to the armor piece of the statue's shoulder. He closed his eyes before looking up at the top of its helmet as he got an idea. "Hang on... I got it!" Jay said as he made his way onto the helmet of the statue.
(Misako and Zane)
Running, Misako and Zane made their way towards a room and found themselves a way out from an open roof window that was high up in the ceiling.
"It's too high, we'll never make it!" She spoke.
"Hold on." Zane said before placing his hand down to the floor as ice shaped pillars began to rise from below, creating a way up to the window.
Misako immediately began climbing up as she tried making her way towards the window.
Zane looked back before pulling out his aeroblade as two possessed stone tigers had made their way towards the white ninja.
Zane frowned before quickly shooting his ice out at them as he tried holding them back.
Trying to hold back the stone tigers away from Misako, Zane blasted his ice out at the statues before one had tackled him down. He grunted as he fell down to his back and was immediately tackled by the stone creature. He placed out his hands as he tried holding it back from biting down at him with its sharp teeth.
Meanwhile the other stone tiger had begun making its way towards Misako as it began breaking the ice pillars while recklessly making its way towards her.
Misako flinched as she quickly climbed higher.
(Lloyd and Skylor)
LLoyd and Skylor watched as they glared daggers at the possessed red ninja. Skylor was the first to act as she ran towards the male, holding out her katanas, she jumps up at him, ready to strike down her blades.
Morro smirked before swinging the sword up as soon as her katanas came down and knocked her out of the way.
Skylor fell back before immediately landing on her feet and ran towards him for another attempt with her swords outstretched.
Morro watched before looking down at the blade. Catching sight of the next attack, Lloyd would try and strike him before Skylor came close to him. He immediately drew his sword, deflecting Lloyd's attack before jumping back as soon as Skylor swung at him. He held out his sword swinging back and forth as he fought against the two.
It wasn't until Skylor managed a hit that Morro fell back. Skiding to a stop. He managing to stop himself from falling to a knee.
Morro huffed as to try and catch his breath before growling as he looked back at them. His eyes glowing bright green as he regained his balance. He looked at them and tilted his head back with an unsettling grin. "You're good" He said before striking the sword down at what looked like a silver tail. "But I'm still better..." He said and cracks broke through the stone, followed behind the green glow of spirits.
The two watched as the cracks made their way over the large silver form of a serpentine warrior.
Skylor stared up at the possessed silver statue as it's eyes glowed bright ghostly green. She watched as it shook its head and uncoil its tail before looking to the two and let out a chilling ghostly hiss.
It wasn't until the serpentine warrior made its way towards Lloyd that Skylor shoved him out of the way and took the hit.
Lloyd watched as Skylor fell back to the ground and yelled. "Skylor!" He yelled as he ran to try and help her.
Skylor raised up a hand, stopping Lloyd in his tracks from coming any closer. "Don't worry..." She said as she got up from the ground. Using the metal element. A metal layer covered over her body as she glared at the statue. "I got this..." She said as she held out her swords, ready to attack.
Lloyd watched her before nodding and looked back to Morro as he held out his sword.
(Cole,Jay, and Nya)
Making his way up he held onto the horns of the helmet, securing his hold before poking his head down at the Statue's face and look down at his face. "Hey there!" He said. Before moving his head back up immediately as soon as the statue tried swapping him away with its large sword.
Jay immediately yelped, nearly slipping off before hanging onto one of the horns of the statue's helmet. He looked down as he tried to clung onto the statues back, leaving the large statue to begin stomping around while trying to grab Jay.
"Cole, try and help me trip it over or something!" Jay yelled while trying to keep hold of the statue.
Cole winced as he jumped back as one of the statues swung its spear at him. "Nhg, a little busy right here!" He said as he avoided another attack.
Nya watched as she tried attempting to squirm her way out again. She couldn't help but wince when the statue's grasp tightened around her.
Jay looked towards Nya as he grew worried and immediately looked around for something until he saw it. A large metal doorway. Big but not enough for it's height. That's when it came to him. "That's it! Cole! I know what to do!" He said. "Just follow my lead!" He said before immediately jumping down. He looked back up to the statue and spoke. "Hey, rock head!" He yelled as he got the statue's attention. "Is it the statue or you ghosts that are just stupid?" He asked.
The large statue looked at him before the spirits inside began to growl as they immediately came stomping towards him.
Jay immediately stiffened as he watched. "Oh shoot!" He said as he began running. "Cole!" He yelled.
Looking back to Jay and the statue chasing behind him. He immediately ran towards him as the other two possessed statues ram after him. Running from underneath the large statue and avoiding getting stomped on. He followed behind Jay as they continued running with the other. He didn't know what the plan was but he just hoped he wouldn't end up a flat pancake.
Nya watched the two others as the possessed statues chased after them. She looked ahead as they began approaching one of the door ways. Her eyes widened as she embarrassed for what was to come.
With the two other statues chasing behind the larger statue. It was getting closer and-
BOOM!
Hitting its head against the metal doorway, it stopped as it stumbled back before falling backwards onto the two smaller statues.
Nya yelped as the large statue fell back before crumbling to pieces as it fell back against the smaller statues. Causing them to fall apart along with it. With the statues' forms broken apart. The ghosts fled from what was left of the statues and out of sight.
Nya coughed as she got up from the stone and dust while the two ran towards her.
"Nya!" They both called out as they came running towards her.
"Are you alright?" Jay asked.
Nya nodded as she dusted herself off. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said before sighing to herself. "Smart thinking though Jay."
A small blush ran over Jay's cheeks as he rubbed the back of his neck with a small giggle. "I know."
"Now let's find the others and stop Morro." Nya said before making her way towards the direction Morro went with the others following behind.
(Zane and Misako)
Managing to shove the stone tiger off, Zane kicked it back against a wall. He quickly placed up both his hands as he covered the stone creature in thick layers of ice, keeping it frozen in place. By the time he had looked towards Misako the stone tiger was already inches away as she reached the top.
"Misako look out!" He shouted.
Misako immediately looked back right as the possessed tiger statue jumped towards her. She immediately leaped up, reaching out her hand for the edge of the window as soon the ice fell apart and barely missing the possessed statue.
The stone tiger let out a loud growl as it fell, crashing down before falling apart as soon as it hit the ground below.
Misako sighed in relief before grunting as she tried pulling herself up. She grunted before looking up to see Lloyd from outside the roof window.
"Mom! Give me the file! So I can take your hand!" He said as he reached out a hand.
Misako grunted before trying to pull up her hand that was holding the file to him.
Reaching out his hand he tugged the file away from Misako and held it up to him. He gave a strange chuckle before a green mist lifted over from him as Bansha changed out her disguise. "Thanks for the help~."
Misako stared eyes wide before the ghost kicked off her hand from the edge and Misako fell...
Falling down, it wasn't until she felt Zane's arms catch her that she was saved as he slid the both of them down from a path of ice and back to the ground before placing her back down on her feet.
Misako placed a hand over her chest and breathed in relief.
The two look back to the roof window as they watch Bansha disappear from view.
(Lloyd, Skylor, and Morro)
Lloyd clashed swords against Morro, giving the other no time to look at the blade as he kept swinging his sword at the other. He could tell Morro was tired. Not Morro, Kai's body. Like a low battery. Morro was fighting with what strength Kai had left.
That would explain why he hasn't been using his powers. Or maybe he didn't want to risk burning what he was here for. Either way, it explained why he was relying on himself and his allies to keep up with their plans.
Skylor thought back as the silver serpentine statue tried sticking its blades at her. She jumped backwards. Before kicking it across the face.
The serpentine warrior head fell back before shaking it off before hissing at her as it grew angry and went for another attack.
Morro continued fighting back against Lloyd as he tried landing some hits while mostly blocking Lloyd's hits. He began taking some steps back, trying to give himself space between the two before managing to turn and run to a different room.
Lloyd quickly ran after him, chasing him into a room of strange weapons and artifacts with unusual carvings of monsters with horns and fangs.
Running towards the other, he threw his aeroblade towards Morro who saw the attack coming thanks to the sword and immediately turned back around, giving him enough time to hit it away with the sword's blade.
It wasn't until Morro looked back that it was already too late. He watch as Lloyd jumped towards him, landing a nasty kick to the other that sent him flying back, crashing back against a large Gong. Its loud metal sound echoed throughout the room, causing the room to lightly shake from its loud vibrating echo.
Lloyd was about to run towards Morro, holding up his sword until the sound came to him and a burst of cold pain came over his body and mind.
"Ahg!" Lloyd cried out as he fell to his knees, gripping his head. Why did he feel so cold..? Why did it hurt? He couldn't help but gasp as he tried to catch his breath.
Morro grunted from the ground before looking up at Lloyd. Confused by the sudden vulnerability. He took it to his advantage and swung his sword, sending a burst of wind that sent Lloyd flying back. He fell back agaist a wall, causing a shelf of artifacts to fall to the ground.
Lloyd winced before slouching forward from his position as he clung to himself. The chilling pain slowly beginning to fade. Looking to the ground. It was changing to colors in a supernatural way. Almost like static or some foggy dream. Turning from brown to purple, black, red, and purple. Everything turning a darker shade in an unsettling way. He shut his eyes and tried to shake it off.
Morro laughed as he approached the weakened Lloyd. He was about to rise his sword when he heard Bansha from one of the door ways.
"Morro! We got what we came for." She said before running off.
Morro grinned as he looked back to Lloyd. "Until next time." He said before following his ally.
Lloyd grunted before lowering his head and winced.
"Lloyd!" Skylor yelled as she ran towards the other's side. leaving behind a fallen and destroyed serpentine statue. She looked at him before speaking once more. "Are you alight? What happened there?" She asked.
Lloyd shook his head and coughed before speaking. "I-I-I don't know. I-"
Skylor wrapped one of his arms over her as she helped him up and back to his feet. "Story later, let's get you back to the bounty." She said as she walked the weaken boy away.
