It was a scorching day in the town of Juuban. Usagi and the gang were over at Mamoru's place for their study hall, working hard while having some tea and enjoying the air conditioning in his apartment. As usual, Usagi was procrastinating rather than studying.

"Here I am on a hot summer's afternoon in Mamoru's air-conditioned room drifting off to heavy dream state," the ordango sighed.

Minako then leaned in close, took a deep breath, and yelled in Usagi's ear. "USAGI, WAKE UP! THERE'S NO TIME FOR DAYDREAMING!"

Usagi woke up with a start, her peaceful vibe wholly shattered.

"Come on, Usagi. Get it together," sighed Rei.

"You were the one who asked me to help you and your friends with your studies," said Mamoru. "But I'm starting to get the feeling that you were after my air conditioning."

"Hey, that's not true," objected Rei. "You also make great herbal tea."

Rei then blushed bright red, realizing that she pretty much admitted Mamoru's callout.

"Well, I guess I should take that as a compliment," Mamoru spoke wryly.

"Looks like you got called out, Rei," chuckled Harusuke. "As they say, If the pheasant hadn't chirped, it wouldn't have gotten shot."

"Shut up, Harusuke," Rei huffed.

Minako then took notice of Ami, who was standing over by the bookcase, admiring the books on it while reading one. "What're you doing, Ami?" she wondered.

"You see anything interesting?" asked Mamoru.

"Yes, you have quite the collection of scholarly works, Mamoru," said Ami. "Like 'Basic Dictionary of Ancient Babylonian,' 'Fluid Dynamics and Wave Engineering,' 'Computer Languages and Symbolic Logic,' and even 'World Curries You Can Make Yourself' too. However, there isn't any consistency here. These books are all over the place.

Everyone could only stare at Ami, amazed and a bit exasperated by her fascination.

"Well, while you are right about them being all over, they're all interesting to me," said Mamoru. "I didn't want to limit myself to one field, so I got all sorts of books to make things interesting."

"Wow! That's awesome!" Makoto spoke with admiration. "So you're like a jack-of-all-trades and master of none!"

"Well, I appreciate that Mako, but just so you know, that wasn't exactly a compliment," Mamoru spoke wryly. "Sounds to me that you guys do need to study a bit more."

"I agree," said Harusuke as he held up a book. "So what do you say we stop with the talking and get back to studying? Starting with Japanese?"

Usagi groaned. "But that's my worst subject, Harusuke!" she whined. "You know I'm no good at that!"

"All the more reason to do some brushing up," said Harusuke. "Especially in your case, Usagi."

Just then, the doorbell rang. Usagi seizing her chance, immediately got up and answered the door. Standing there was a smartly dressed gentleman with teal hair and a bushy mustache standing in the doorway when she did.

"S-Sorry, but we've already subscribed to the paper," Usagi said, believing him to be a salesman.

The man took off his hat and smiled warmly. "Kon'nichiwa, ojōsama," he said.

Usagi froze, not understanding a single word he said, but she tried to speak to him, not wanting to be rude. "Um, I no speak, uh, naniwhanese?" she said awkwardly.

The man was puzzled, but then he understood. "Ā naruhodo! Anata wa Nihongo o hanasemasen," he said. "Please, excuse me, miss, but do you know if Mamoru is here by chance?"

"Well, yeah. Of course, Mamoru's here," replied Usagi, still trying to figure out the foreign language the man was speaking. "I mean... this is his apartment after all." Then, she realized that the man knew and spoke English, which relieved her. "Oh! You do speak English! What a relief! Say, you're not one of Mamoru's tutors, are you?"

Before the man could answer, Mamoru came up while the others peered in, curious about what was going on.

"Edwards, what a surprise!" said Mamoru. "It's been a while."

"Hello, Mamoru," greeted back Edwards. "It certainly has." He looked towards the others. "And a good afternoon to you, young ones."

"Hajimemashite," said Minako.

"Kon'nichiwa," smiled Rei.

"Anata ni o ai dekite kōeidesu," said Ami.

"Watashi wa anata ni aete ureshīdesu," said Harusuke.

"Arigatō," said Makoto brightly.

Everyone then looked at Makoto like she said the word for cheese.

"Um, Makoto, that's not quite right," said Harusuke flatly. "That means 'thank you,' not hello."

"Oops. My bad," Makoto apologized.

"Won't you come in for tea?" Mamoru asked Edwards.

"That won't be necessary," said Edwards. "I came here because I'm having a party later on tonight and thought that you might be interested in going. There will be many international students attending, and there will be lots of food, music, and dancing. So you may find it interesting."

"How nice of you to invite me," said Mamoru with interest. "And after coming all this way."

"Not at all. I was out for a stroll, anyway," smiled Edwards. "Besides, I much rather enjoy your exhilarating company." He turned to Usagi and the other. "And of course, all of you young folks are welcome to attend as well. It's going to be quite a lively party."

"That sounds great!" Usagi and her group said excitedly.

Edwards soon left, and Mamoru then explained about the gentleman.

"Edwards is an English gentleman who owns an estate just outside of Juuban," he said. "It's a wonderful piece of property, and he often holds parties for international students."

Rei sighed dreamily. "A manor house atop a hill while a waltz melody plays in the background. How romantic."

"It must be exciting to be friends with people from all over the world," said Ami. "How cosmopolitan."

"No kidding," said Harusuke. "It reminds me of the good old days back when we lived in the Moon Kingdom."

"And just imagine going to a party with Mamo in a house like that!" Usagi gushed excitedly. "I already feel so international!"

"But wait a minute," Ami spoke, realizing something. "If it's going to be a party filled with foreign students, then..."

"Yep, they'll be speaking in different languages, too, including Japanese," said Mamoru. "So if you don't want to embarrass yourselves, then you better study hard so that you speak it even better than they do."

Makoto and Rei gulped, and Usagi, at this point, was so split about going to a party with her boyfriend, while not thrilled about studying, she fell into a loop of joy and horror.

"A party with Mamo! But I'm no good at English..."

"Hey, don't worry, Sis. That's why we're studying Japanese in the first place," said Harusuke. "If you study, you can be better before the party!"

But Usagi didn't hear as she continued going in a loop like a broken record.

"A party with Mamo! But I'm no good at English..."

Everyone else could only sigh with exasperation.

"It looks like this session is over," Makoto spoke wryly.

"Another day of studying lost," groaned Ami.

Tomoe was busy at work with his research in the lab, coming up with an idea for another Pure Heart target. He was listening to some classical music on a gramophone. At that moment, Eudial appeared.

"What are you doing, Professor?" asked Eudial. "And what's with that weird device?"

"I'm simply listening to a classical kind of music known as waltz," explained Tomoe. "I believe that this kind of music comprises of three musical beats, each one representing the elements of intellect, culture, and fighting spirit that dwell within the hearts of man. The perfect fitting way to describe the spirit of the Death Busters, wouldn't you say, Eudial?"

"I suppose so," said Eudial doubtfully. "So, are you trying to tell me that my next target should possess a heart enchanted by the waltz?"

"Yes, and is someone who has hopes for the future," added Tome. "I believe with these credentials, the person with the Pure Heart we seek shall have a talisman. So there's a Daimon Egg all ready to go for your mission, Eudial. Make sure you put it to good use."

Eudial then took the vial and was about to set off on her mission when Tomoe put on a record on the gramophone, put the needle on it, and started it up. Immediately, loud and booming music began to play, making every glass vial in the lab tremble. Eudial was so surprised and startled that she couldn't help but cover her ears.

"What you're listening to now is a composition from my younger days," Tomoe cackled in delight as he listened, not seeming to mind the loudness. "It's called "Hope For the Future."

"Are you kidding me?!" Eudial cried. "That sounds nothing like any waltz that I've heard!"

But Tomoe didn't care as he continued to listen, laughing madly with glee while dancing in time with it.

"Good grief. This man is completely nuts," Eudial groaned. "I'm starting to wonder how Magus Kaolinite puts up with him. I'm starting to have a bad feeling about this."

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

Night came, and Usagi and her group had just arrived at Edwards' mansion. As Edwards said, many people were there, all coming from different places worldwide, looking very smart and beautiful in their dresses and suits.

"Wow! There are so many handsome guys here!" gushed Minako.

"And so many tall ones, too!" squealed Makoto.

But Usagi was worried. "Oh, wow. I hope I don't embarrass myself," she squeaked nervously.

"I wouldn't be worried, Usagi," said Rei. "Most of them won't understand a thing you say."

"And how does that help, Rei?!" Usagi squawked.

"Look at it this way," Ami spoke, trying to help. "This is your chance to put your studies into real-life use."

"That would be great if I studied!" wailed Usagi. "I haven't even had a chance to!"

"Then, you should have studied when I told you to," Harusuke sighed. "But no, who listens to your big brother?"

Then, Edwards came up to the group and two international students who spoke Japanese, much to Usagi's disdain.

"Kon'nichiwa, Mamoru-san," greeted a young man with red hair. "O Hisashi-buridesu ne."

"Kon'nichiwa, George-san," Mamoru greeted back. "Oaidekiteureshīdesu."

"Minasan, konbanwa," smiled Edwards. "Watashi no pātī o tanoshinde itadakereba saiwaidesu."

The other male foreigner, who had short black hair, noticed the others. "Say, Mamoru? Aren't you going to introduce us to your friends?" he asked. "Or are you just going to stand there?"

The girls and Harusuke were amazed.

"Oh, wow! You guys speak in perfect English," commented Minako.

"Well, we do attend English universities," said the blonde foreigner. "We don't want to mislead you all."

"Well, that's good news," said Harusuke. "Looks like you have nothing to worry about, Usag-"

But as Harusuke turned towards Usagi, he and the others were surprised to see that the ordango blonde suddenly disappeared.

"What the-? Where'd she go?" wondered Rei.

"The ladies' room, maybe?" suggested Makoto.

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

It turned out that Usagi was so worried about what to say to the foreigners that she ran off behind the curtains to practice her Japanese from a phrasebook. But however much she tried to practice, she felt that it was no good. Usagi then saw the others talking to foreigners and Edwards, unaware that they also spoke English.

"Oh, look at them! Even Rei and Mako are speaking in Japanese!" Usagi complained to herself as she tried to read from her book. "OK, I have to calm down. First, I'll have some juice and then take it easy."

Then came trouble. Usagi was so panicked that as she reached for a drink while keeping her eyes on her book, instead of grabbing a cup of juice on the table, she accidentally got a glass filled with wine instead, downing it all in a single gulp.

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

Back with the others, Mamoru was still speaking to the foreigners while Makoto, Rei, Minako, and Harusuke enjoyed some refreshments. Ami was speaking to Edwards, watching from afar.

"It's amazing how they're involved in such rigorous disciplines," murmured Ami. "It's awe-inspiring."

"Indeed, they are the hope of our future," said Edwards sagely. "It gives me great joy to provide this manor for them to meet one another. Listening to the waltz while being surrounded by the leaders of tomorrow. At times like these, my life is as colorful and rich as a rose garden in spring."

Ami felt filled with admiration. "What a beautiful way to picture an image," she said. "It feels as though even I can see that rosy future."

Harusuke, Rei, Makoto, and Minako were overhearing this, and while Harusuke was also amazed, the girls were feeling somewhat confused.

"This is all so confusing," mumbled Makoto.

"I can't even keep up with what they're saying," said Rei. "It's way over my head."

"Well, Ami is a genius," said Minako wryly. "I wouldn't expect anything less.

"Well, I can somewhat understand," said Harusuke. "And I'm not as smart as she is."

Just then, Usagi came stumbling past them, her cheeks flushed and her eyes a bit hazy due to drinking the wine by mistake, as she soon came to Mamoru's group.

"Hey, Mamo! Relativity is like a recipe for flan," Usagi slurred. "You take eggs, milk, sugar, and then mix it all up in a relatively big bowl. Then you cover it up and steam it for thirty minutes, and it's all done. Oh, don't forget the cream, or it won't have a feminine touch. After all, Einstein loved cream."

"She's comparing the theory of relativity to a flan," George said to the other foreigner. "Even I have to admit, that is a unique perspective."

"Oh, you're speaking English!" Usagi slurred again, getting a bit loud. "Well, welcome foreigners to our little country of Japan! I'm an Edokko! Have some sushi!"

"Usako, you have to calm down!" Mamoru urged. "Take it easy!"

"Come on, Mamoru! Since you and I are here, let's talk about international relations in a BIG way," Usagi giggled. "How does that sound?"

Mamoru could only groan as Ami and Harusuke, having heard Usagi along with the others, helped Mamoru to his feet.

Believing that Usagi was acting normally, George firmly shook Usagi's hand.

"Usagi, you're quite the unique girl," said George. "I've never met anyone who is as charming and different as you."

"Why, thank you!" Usagi gushed. "You are also charming, too! Arigatō! Big fat toe!"

"Yup, she's drunk," sighed Ami.

"As a lord on holiday," agreed Harusuke flatly.

"Mamoru, perhaps you and the others should take your friend to the balcony to recover a bit," said Edwards.

"R-Right," said Mamoru. "Sorry about this."

And while he led Usagi by the shoulders, Mamoru led the drunk girl outside while the others followed after them. They soon reached the balcony. Still as drunk as ever, Usagi draped her body over the railing, giggling wildly.

"Usagi, how he heck did you get drunk in the first place?" wondered Makoto. "Or rather, why would you drink alcohol?"

"What are you talking about? I didn't drink alcohol," Usagi drunkenly spoke. "I was drinking juice. Juicy-juice."

"I think I'm starting to understand what happened," said Harusuke. "She must have accidentally drank some wine, thinking that it was juice. I'd say talk about cliche, but still..."

"Whatcha talking 'bout, Bro?!" Usagi continued to slur. "I drank lots of juice, and I've... gotten... so..."

At that moment, Usagi passed out, almost falling over the railing, much to everyone's horror and shock, and Mamoru and Harusuke scrambled to prevent her from going off the rail.

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

Just outside of the mansion, Eudiall appeared, ready to get her mission underway. She was now wearing a red Chinese dress with red pumps.

"It's showtime," Eudial said to herself as she walked through the doors of the mansion, beginning her hunt for the Pure Heart to take.

At the same time, someone else had arrived at the party, the person wearing a coat that hid their appearance.

"Looks like this is the place," they said. "Time for the show to begin."

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

After a while, Usagi was finally able to sober up as she, along with the rest of the group, made their way back to the party.

"Are you sure you're feeling all right, Usako?" asked Mamoru.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," said Usagi. "Although, I do feel a bit silly."

At that moment, two familiar faces walked up to them, one wearing a white suit and the other wearing a sky blue dress.

"Haruka! Michiru!" gasped Usagi. "You came, too!"

"Good evening," said Haruka.

"Lovely party, isn't it?" said Michiru. "Say, since the waltz has started, how about you be my dancing partner, Mamoru?"

Before Mamoru could answer, Usagi immediately stepped in front of her boyfriend, glaring. "No way! Mamo is dancing with me!" the ordango blonde objected.

Haruka then stepped forth, exhibiting her charisma as always. "How about you and I dance together, Bun-Head?" she asked. "I promise I'm a good dancer."

Usagi immediately calmed down as she blushed bright red. "Sure. That'd be great," she said without thinking.

Michiru then came up to Harusuke, gracefully holding out her hand. "And what about you, Harusuke?" she spoke elegantly. "Would you do me the honor of having this dance?"

Harusuke cheeks went a bit pink as she took Michiru's hand in earnest. "S-Sure. It would be an honor," he spoke a bit shyly.

And so, the two pairs took to the floor, gracefully gliding as they danced.

"Well, now, you're pretty good," complimented Haruka.

"Thank you very much," smiled Usagi. "I've always seen myself doing this in my dreams."

"I must say, Harusuke, you're quite skilled," commented Michiru. "Have you done dancing like this before?"

"Yes, quite a few times," replied Harusuke. "I've been to my share of parties like this, and they've helped me gain a lot of experience."

The girls couldn't help but stare in amazement at them.

"Wow. Usagi and Harusuke are dancing," murmured Minako.

"I think it's because Haruka and Michiru are leading them," Makoto spoke in amazement. "As expected of skilled leaders."

"They're so lucky!" gushed Rei. "I want to go next!"

"Now, hold on! Who said you get to go next?!" challenged Makoto. "I say we arm wrestle to decide the order!"

"How about we do something that doesn't involve physical violence?" suggested Minako. "Like Rock, Paper, Scissors?"

Ami and Mamoru could only stare at the three in bewilderment as the girls got ready.

"Come on, girls," Ami squeaked. "You don't have to do this, you know."

"There are a lot of guys out there for you," said Mamoru. "You could dance with one of them."

But Makoto, Minako, and Rei didn't listen as they started their game. Then, realizing that there was no way to reason with them, Ami and Mamoru scooted further away, pretending not to know them.

As they continued to dance together, Michiru spoke to Harusuke.

"So, I heard that you and your friends are acquainted with the owner of this mansion," said Michiru. "Is that true?"

"Well, I heard Mamoru used to study under him," said Harusuke. "But to be honest, I don't know very much about him other than being generous with young and ambitious people."

"Then, let me tell you a little bit about him," said Michiru. "In his younger days, Edwards ruthlessly strove to accumulate his fortune, believing that wealth was necessary to build a bright future. But that changed one day when he realized that he had no family, friends, or anyone else and was completely alone. So he asked himself, to whom he would bequeath the rosy future he envisioned?"

"A rosy future? That was what he was talking to Ami about a while ago," said Harusuke.

"Still, aside from him being a romanticist, nothing is certain. Not a thing," went on Michiru. "The future can only be attained through the sacrifice of many."

Harusuke frowned a bit. "Well, that may be true, but if something like that can't be passed on to someone if there's no one to pass it on to," he said. "A lonely future like that is no future at all. At least, that's what I believe."

A frown crossed Michiru's face briefly, but it changed into a small smile. "I see. That's a nice way to think, Harusuke," she said. "You're wise beyond your years."

At that moment, the song ended, and everyone who was watching the two pairs dancing applauded, charmed by their splendid dancing, mainly by Haruka and Michiru. After that, many people came crowding around the two, wanting to dance with them, leaving the Tsukino siblings by themselves.

"Well, it was fun while it lasted," chuckled Harusuke.

"But now we don't have any partners," complained Usagi. "And the next song is going to start any minute."

The two then noticed their friends, who were still playing rock, paper, scissors, Ami now joining the game. Feeling curious, the two then went over to see what was happening.

"What are you girls doing over here?" asked Usagi. "Shouldn't you be dancing?"

The girls were just about to explain when Usagi and the other girls noticed something that made their eyes widen. Mamoru was dancing with another woman on the dance floor, while Haruka danced with Michiru.

"No! My Mamo is dancing with someone else!" Usagi wailed miserably.

"And Haruka and Michiru are dancing together, too!" Minako also complained. "Not fair!"

"You mean we were wasting our time playing rock, paper, scissors when we could have been out dancing?!" moaned Rei.

"Just what's the matter with us?!" Makoto groaned.

"Well, if it's a partner you girls are looking for, I'm more than willing," Harusuke spoke kindly. "I know that I'm not as popular as Haruka or Michiru, but I'm a pretty good dancer."

Immediately, the girls, excluding Usagi, locked on to Harusuke, each one of them eager to dance with him.

"All right! Let's go for rock, paper, scissors, again!" said Makoto with enthusiasm. "Whoever wins gets to have Harusuke!"

The Tsukino siblings could only stare in bewilderment as the girls started playing rock, paper, scissors again.

Then, Edwards came up to them. "Excuse me, young ones. I understand that you're all eager to dance, but may I please have a moment of your time?" he asked. "There's something that I would like for you all to see."

Usagi and her group were puzzled and curious, so they complied. They followed Edwards outside and got welcomed to the sight of a large and spacious terrace. Unlike the others, this balcony overlooked the city of Juuban, and roses were growing everywhere, giving the place a magical atmosphere.

The teens were most impressed.

"Wow! It's so beautiful!" gasped Usagi.

"Simply spectacular," murmured Harusuke.

"Hey! I think I can see the Juuban District from here," pointed out Makoto.

"It's like being in a dream!" gushed Minako. "It's so perfect!"

"I'm so happy you like it," smiled Edwards, as he gazed towards the city below, its lights twinkling like stars. "You see, I dream that the next generation of young people like yourselves will create a world as lovely as the flowers you see before you. I know that I may be an old man with nothing but riches, but nothing makes me happier than seeing those guided by my knowledge blossom into the people of the future. To that end, I have great hopes for your futures as well."

Everyone couldn't help but feel impressed by Edwards' explanation of his dream, as well as inspired.

"Now then, I best be heading back inside," said Edwards. "While you all enjoy the view and flowers, how about I have someone bring you drinks and cake here on the terrace?"

"Yay! That would be awesome!" Usagi cheered.

Edwards then left, heading back inside of the building.

Makoto inspected a rose that was growing on a bush. "Wow. Edwards must have a gentle heart to grow such beautiful flowers," she said. "Only someone truly kind is capable of this."

"You're right about that, Mako," concurred Ami. "The waltz, guiding young people filled with hope, and Edward's pure heart, they all combine to fill this place with a rosy future."

As everyone else agreed, someone else was out there with them, watching from afar, admiring the roses as well, the mysterious person in a coat. As they watched them, they took a rose off of a bush and took in its beautiful scent, enjoying it along with its beauty.

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

Back inside, Mamoru was taking a break from all the dancing by sipping a glass of non-alcoholic ale, enjoying himself. But then, one of Edwards' butlers came walking past about to enter the kitchen. As he was about to open the door, Mamoru noticed something. A strange blue vapor was seeping out at that bottom of the door. Knowing that something was amiss, Mamoru cried out to the butler.

"Wait! Don't open that door!"

But Mamoru's warning came too late as the butler opened the door. Immediately, it swung open the blue vapor billowed out from it, spreading all over the ballroom. Upon inhaling the smoke, people began to drop like flies one after another. At that moment, Edwards came into the room, seeing the blue vapor, wondering what was going on. Then, he saw a young woman standing amidst the smoke. Feeling concerned for her safety, he took a cloth to block out the vapor and quickly rushed over to the woman, trying to save her.

"Please, miss! We have to get you outside!" said Edwards urgently. "Please come with me!"

But as the man tried to the woman away, she didn't budge. Then, the woman turned around, revealing herself to be Eudial, now wearing a gas mask and seeing her target in sight, whipped out her gun, aiming at Edwards.

"Edwards!" yelled Mamoru. "Get out of there!"

But Eudial pulled the trigger, shooting directly into Edwards' chest and knocking out his Pure Heart Crystal.

As Usagi and the others approached the mansion, they saw the blue smoke and peered and saw Eudial.

"Looks like Eudial's back at it again!" Haursuke cried.

"All right, guys! You know what we gotta do!" said Usagi. "Let's transform!"

Everyone answered with a nod.

"MOON COSMIC POWER MAKE UP!"

"SOLAR PRISM POWER BLAZE FORTH!"

"MERCURY STAR POWER MAKE UP!"

"MARS STAR POWER MAKE UP!"

"JUPITER STAR POWER MAKE UP!"

"VENUS STAR POWER MAKE UP!"

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

Transformation Sequence: Usagi

Usagi's Cosmic Heart Compact opens, revealing the pink heart-shaped crystal inside, waving her hand over it. It flashes twice and erupts in pink light. Usagi is now standing in the middle of a light blue heart that's spinning to the right. She stands one leg while holding up her arms and begins pirouetting in the opposite direction, going faster until, in a burst of light, pink ribbons envelop her torso and midsection, transforming into her leotard. She elegantly stretches out her arms, and pink ribbons cover them, forming into her gloves. She then raised her right foot high with incredible flexibility, and pink ribbons cloak it changing into her boots. The heart made of blue light then turns into a circle of sparkles swirling around her waist, forming her skirt and bow. Now no longer in light, Usagi spins around a couple of times like a ballerina and takes a slight bow. As she comes out from her bow, a crescent moon mark glows in the middle of her forehead. Then, a tiara appears bearing a gold symbol of the Moon, along with her earrings, choker, and her ordango covers. Finally, Usagi opens her eyes, her transformation now complete, and strikes her signature pose.

Transformation Sequence: Harusuke.

Harusuke holds up his hand as the stone on his bracelet shines bright in golden light. The stone lets out three pulses, the symbol of the Sun glowing inside of it on the third pulse. Harusuke is enveloped in silver and gold light as he jumps into the air, his clothes disappearing. The symbol of the sun appears just above him and goes down, phasing through his body, making his silver jumpsuit with gold lines on the sides materialize. Two smaller sun symbols go over his feet to his kneecaps, and his gold and metal boots and silver kneecaps appear. Around his waist, a ring of light wraps around it, forming a belt with a gold belt buckle in the shape of an oval. Harusuke then spreads his arms wide as two more light rings envelop his arms and hands, making gold gloves appear. The symbol of the sun appears in front of him now, and crashes into his chest, making his chest piece like before, now thicker and having shoulder guards. Finally, a helmet materializes above Harusuke's head, the design slightly different as he reaches and grabs hit, putting it on his head, not having a mouth protector. Harusuke opens his eyes, punches his hands together, and strikes his signature pose, the symbol of the sun appearing behind him with a star-filled background.

Transformation Sequence: Ami

Ami holds up her hand as blue sparkles swirled around it, alighting her fingernails turning them into a shade of bright blue. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end and the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Ami is enveloped in blue light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as a stream of sparkling blue water begins to emit from it, forming her leotard, boots, and gloves. A sparkling ripple and a flurry of bubbles expand over her body, creating a tiny mist of water that forms the rest of her uniform, the same as Sailor Moon's, but the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves were blue and bright blue. Finally, she turns around and then strikes her signature pose.

Transformation Sequence: Rei

Rei's hand is held up as red sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright red. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Rei is enveloped in red light. As she held up her pen while spinning around, long bright tongues of flame erupted from it, forming several rings around her body. They tighten around her body, and in a brilliant flash of light, her outfit forms having to look just like Sailor Moon's, but she is wearing red pumps along with a pair of red star-shaped earrings, the center bow is purple, and the rims of her gloves, her skirt, her choker, and collar are red. After that, Mars finishes with her signature pose.

Transformation Sequence: Makoto

Makoto's hand is held up as green sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright green. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It starts to turn around rapidly as green light envelops Makoto. As she holds up her pen while spinning around, long streams of lightning erupt from it, encircling her body, forming an atom of sorts before exploding in a brilliant flash of light. Her outfit forms, having to look just like Sailor Moon's, wearing green boots along with her pair of roses earrings, the bow is pink, and the rims of her gloves green, as is her skirt, her choker, and collar. After that, Jupiter finishes with her signature pose.

Transformation sequence: Minako.

Minako's hand is held up as golden stars swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright orange. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Minako is enveloped in yellow light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as banners of golden stars emit from it. Minako then holds up the pen above her head as the banners of stars form a spiral around her body. They disappear into the ground, forming a circle of stars and burst into more stars going upwards, enveloping Minako's body. Then Minako emerges wearing the same outfit as Sailor Moon's, the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves colored orange, her back bow, yellow, and her center bow, blue. She then opens her eyes as she assumes her signature pose.

Eudial smirked with glee as she snatched Edwards' Pure Heart Crystal in her hand, but no sooner than she did, a familiar blast of seawater in the form of a sphere came shooting at her. Eudial leaped out of the way to dodge, but in her haste, ended up dropping the crystal from her hand. Then, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune arrived, Uranus managing to catch the crystal in the knick of time.

"Sorry, but we can't let you have this," said Sailor Uranus.

Seeing that she was in for a fight, Eudial summoned a Daimon Egg and threw it towards a gramophone, the Egg coming to life and merging with it. The gramophone exploded into pink smoke as it began its transformation. But as everyone waited for the Daimon to emerge, it took a bit longer than usual, much to Eudial's annoyance.

"Hey! Where are you, Daimon?!" Eudial demanded. "Show yourself already!"

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" said a voice in the pink smoke. "But this dress is so heavy!"

Then, the Daimon stumbled out from the smoke, with green skin and white hair, and wore a multi-blue colored dress with pumps, blue roses lined the hem and red glasses. The Daimon tried to stay upright, but she ended up tripping on her clothing, falling flat on her face on the floor.

Eudial groaned in exasperation, face-palming herself. "I'm getting a headache just watching. I feel like going home."

"Sorry, but you're not going anywhere, Eudial!" said a voice.

Eudial looked up to see Sailor Moon and the other Guardians standing above the upper level.

"You see, the bell hasn't struck midnight yet," said Sailor Moon. "According to the story known as Cinderella, you're not even allowed to walk out!"

"And last time we checked, you're not Cinderella," said Sailor Mercury. "Not even close!"

"If anything, you and your Daimon are like the two evil stepsisters!" scolded Sailor Mars.

"And in Sleeping Beauty, Hansel & Gretel, and The Little Mermaid, you're the wicked witch," said Sailor Jupiter.

"Aside from those, the one thing they have in common is that she's always defeated!" added Sailor Venus.

"And just like in those fairy tales, the heroes are the ones that took them down, and that's just what we're going to do tonight!" said Solars.

"And so in the name of them all, we'll punish you!" finished Sailor Moon.

Eudial was now even more annoyed after that speech. "Ugh! That didn't help my headache," she moaned. "If anything, that made it worse."

Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus finished inspecting the crystal.

"Sorry, but this isn't a talisman either," said Sailor Neptune.

"You heard it first," smirked Sailor Uranus. "Looks like you wasted your time for nothing, Eudial."

"I'm not that worried about it," shrugged Eudial. "My bad feeling about this whole thing was spot on anyway." She turned to her Daimon. "Chikuon! See them out, would you?"

As Eudual again fled by disappearing, Chikuon took one of the roses off her dress and threw it at the Guardians, forcing them to get out of the way as it exploded like a bomb. Chikuon then fired a powerful beam from her hand, blasting Sailor Moon right in the stomach, knocking her flat onto the floor.

"Sailor Moon!" the other Guardians cried.

Now angry, Solaris clenched his fist and aimed at the Daimon, his gem glowing with power. "Eat this! ARROW OF SOL!"

But, as Solaris unleashed his attack, Chikuon was quick to counter, throwing another rose from her dress at it, causing a tremendous explosion.

Sailor Uranus, helping Sailor Neptune, put Edwards' crystal back, then sighed. "Oh, well. I suppose I should give those guys a hand," she chuckled. "URANUS WORLD SHAKING!"

Uranus fired her sphere of Earth at the Daimon and scored a direct hit. Chikuon exploded from the sheer power in a cloud of blue smoke.

"Nice shot!" gasped Sailor Moon as she got helped to her feet.

"Well, it looks like there's nothing more we can do here. But, I may have gone too far," smiled Sailor Uranus. "Let's go, Neptune."

"Farewell, everyone," said Sailor Neptune.

The two Guardians then disappeared. However, the battle was far from over, as Chikuon got back up, still very much alive. She was now wearing a brown leotard with white tights with black musical note designs on each of her hands and a handle sticking out from her right hip. She had a phonograph on her left shoulder, her hair was wooden styled in a boy cut style, and her eyeballs had lines covering them both.

"You got to be kidding me!" gasped Sailor Moon. "It's still alive!"

"And it's changed forms too!" said Sailor Jupiter.

Chikuon started to crank her handle, and her phonograph's speaker began to blast music while firing huge musical notes at the Guardians, forcing them to scatter to avoid them.

"Hey! What's with the shooting notes thing?!" demanded Sailor Moon. "That's not fair! If you're going to be an overgrown phonograph, the least you can do is attack us with music or something!"

"Have you gone mad?!" Solaris squawked indignantly. "Don't go patronizing the enemy!"

"But that's such a good idea," smirked Chikuon as she changed her record. "This is a good opportunity for you to listen to a new song. It's called "Yodel of the Devil."

The Daimon once again cranked her handle, and a horrible yodeling sound erupted from her phonograph, causing the Guardians to cover their ears.

"What is this?!" cried Sailor Mars in agony. "It hurts my ears!"

"It's like a knife to my head!" cried Sailor Moon.

"You just had to say something, Sailor Moon!" Solaris winced in pain.

"This music has the power to destroy the human central control system," smirked Chikuon. "Hope you enjoy it as I send you to your graves!"

Then, a rose came shooting down from above, piercing directly into the Daimon's record, shattering it to pieces, ceasing the music.

"Who did that?!" demanded Chikuon.

The answer came from on top of the upper level as everyone looked up. Standing there was none other than Tuxedo Mask.

"Music is the highest expression and enjoyment of sound and never should be used to cause pain!" Tuxedo Mask scolded. "I won't forgive anyone who desecrates beautiful music!"

"Thanks, Tuxedo Mask!" thanked the Guardians.

Chikuon was rather annoyed. So much so that without thinking, she ripped the speaker off of her shoulder and then threw it at Tuxedo Mask, only to have him jump out of the way, making her miss.

The Daimon soon realized her mistake. "Oh, no! That was my last weapon!" she cried.

"Sailor Moon! Now's your chance!" shouted Tuxedo Mask.

The Guardian of the Moon's Spiral Heart Moon Rod appeared in her hand, and with a few rapid twirls while charging power, unleashed her signature attack.

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

A powerful blast in the shape of a heart shot forth, and with a powerful explosion, Chikuon was no more, leaving only a destroyed Daimon Egg and a battered, destroyed phonograph.

After that, Edwards' party resumed, everything returning to normal as if nothing had happened.

"How very strange," Edwards spoke to the teens. "I don't seem to recall anything that transpired before. I wonder what could have happened."

"Search me," said Ami. "I didn't even notice."

Rei then took notice of Usagi and Mamoru, both of which were dancing gracefully across the floor. "Aww! Usagi's getting to dance again!" she complained. "And she looks so happy, too!"

"I'm so jealous!" pouted Makoto.

Minako then suddenly remembered. "Hey, wait! Where's Haruka?!" she demanded, looking around. "I have to dance with her!"

"Sorry, Minako, but Haruka and Michiru had to leave on urgent business," said Harusuke. "But if you and the girls are looking for someone to dance with, I'd be more than willing."

"Why, thank you, Harusuke," smiled Minako. "What a gentleman you are."

She was about to take Harusuke out on the dance floor when Rei cut her off.

"Now, just a minute! Who said you get to dance with Harusuke?!" Rei snapped. "If he's going to be dancing with anyone, it's going to be me!"

"Wait your turn!" Minako snapped back. "I called first dibs!"

"But I want to dance with Harusuke too!" complained Makoto. "He should dance with me!"

The three glared grimly at each other while Harusuke could only stand in the middle, flustered.

"Now, wait a minute, girls! There'll be plenty of time to dance with me," said Harusuke. "There's no need to argue."

"All right then! There's only one way to settle this!" said Makoto. "Time for rock, paper, scissors!"

"You're on!" said Rei and Minako.

The three once again started playing rock, paper, scissors, while Harusuke, Ami, and Edwards watched on wryly, not even bothering to intervene.

Outside the mansion, Sailors Uranus and Neptune stood in the treetops listening to the music and the commotion.

"Yearning to pass on a bright future to the next generation seems to be a legacy of a life well-lived," murmured Sailor Neptune

"But we don't have that kind of time," said Sailor Uranus. "The Silence is about to close in on this world. To stop it, we need to find the talismans as soon as possible."

While the two conversed, the mysterious person in the coat watched the party outside by the door, still holding the rose in their hand. Then, as they took another sniff with the rose, enjoying the sent, their eyes fell upon Harusuke, who was still trying to mediate the girls.

"So that's him, the boy in question," they murmured thoughtfully. "It would seem that I have my work cut out for me on this one."

And the mysterious person in the coat left, disappearing into the darkness of the night.
