"Valentines day totally sucks!" I groaned as i flopped onto my couch with moon and Yasmine
"Omg your only saying that because no one asked you to be theres." Yasmine said while munching on a bag of lays.
"That is so not true. Just the other day I was asked." "Oh yeah? By who?" Moon and here both stared intensely at me.
"I-he- we- shut up. I'll probably end up marrying myself but thats okay." "Oh. Sweetie, no." Yasmine said at me while shaking her head and pretending to be sad.
Moon pulled me up by My shoulders and rubbed my head. "I can be your galentine, if you want?" "Thats really sweet moon pie but its just not the same. I mean last year it was just-" "come on kiki not again." Yas rolled her eyes over dramatically.
"I thought you guys are starting over? Why would you want to re-hash the past?" Moon asked while sipping on her kale smoothie.
"Its not that i want to rehash the past- i mean before his whole dickhead era we were perfect but i just cant help to think of all the amazing times. Last year he litterally took me to a picnic on the beach.
"Being single is so not for me." I groaned.
"WAIT! Omg have you ever been this single?!" Yasmine asked while munching on chips.

after we stopped laughing the doorbell rang.
they both looked at eachother and smiled while I was completely confused
"aren't you gonna answer it?" they both nudged me "nah. probably just a package or something."
Yasmine immediately grabbed her phone and began typing while moon randomly started talking about porch pirates.
"jesus! fine I will open the door!" I dragged my feet as I walked to the door.

eli fucking Moskowitz stood at my front door in a royal blue button up with slacks and nikes on while his now purple hair was in his face as he held a single red rose in his hands that were noticeably clammy.
"so, be my valentines?" I saw a flash of light in the corner of my eye and turned to see moon and Yasmine taking pictures.
"this is so sweet!" "all Demetri asked me to do was go mini golfing."
I felt a sweaty hand grab one of mines and turned back to him.

I wore a plaid set with my mary janes and touched up my makeup since I had no clue where he was taking me.
I hopped onto the back of his bike-
"bike? Wait wheres the sentra?" "At home. I figured the bike was more fitting." "Oh." "You may not trust me but believe me princess, you wont regret this." I rolled my eyes as he handed me a spare helmet and got on right behind him.
We soon arrived at- well i wasnt actually sure where we were.
"Um. Not to sound bitchy but, where the fuck are we?"

We were in a secluded area, covered by trees. He removed his helmet and mine and helped me off the bike.
"A place where no one will ever find us. Not the miyagi dos or the cobras. No one." He held my hand in his.
"Um eli, can you maybe rephrase that cause your kinda freaking me out." I looked at him suspiciously.
"Dont you trust me?" "You really want the answer to that?" I raised my brow as he gently pulled me through the woods and down a hill.
We were at a lake.
And so was- "Demetri? What are you doing here?" I asked as i saw him standing on the dock next to a blanket covered in food.
"Eli stopped walking right before we moved towards the dock and grabbed both of my hands.
"I know how the cobras feel about me. And i know what they would do to you if they ever found out. So I figured if i wanted to take you somewhere, i would need more than a little privacy." Eli fumbled with my fingers while waiting for a reaction.
"This is sweet and all but-" i gasped immediately and ran towards the food. "Are these chocolate strawberries?!" I dropped to my knees and started to devour them.
"Well, i guess shes not leaving you here after all." I heard Demetri tell Eli who ran to join me soon after telling his best friend that he would see him later.
"Mmm, these are AMAZING!" "Really? My mom made them." He smiled at me as i finished my fifth one since we got there .
All of a sudden he smiled at me
While i was wiping my hands. "What?" "You got a little chocolate on your face." He sucked on the pad of his thumb and ran it against where I'm guessing the chocolate was.
"Oh- listen Eli, i don't want you to think im staying just for these amazing strawberries. I do appreciate all this. I really do but-" "if your gonna tell me this is about rickenburg, then you don't have to lie to make me feel better. I know you guys aren't together so please don't use that excuse." He groaned from frustration.
"Rickenburg, Douglas rickenburg?! Oh god no! That ended WEEKS ago." I chuckled as i opened a can of sprite that i found in the basket while he was rambling.
"Then why did you hesitate to stay? If its not cause of him or the cobras, then why?" "Eli, you changed my life- rocked my world even. But I'm not sure we should be anything other than friend's yet. Im not even sure of who i am as a person!" I huffed out the last sentence as his smile slanted.
"That's fine, Kiara. We don't have to be more than friends. I feel honored that you would even consider me that after anything." He smiled sadly.
"Well then Eli Moskowitz." I cracked open another soda and handed it to him.
"To friends?" I held mine up waiting nervously for him.

Prom.
It was in a few weeks and i still haven't manned up and asked her.
