"I still have a knife in my shoulder," you reminded, standing up. "Let it be if you don't want me to bleed out."
"You're free to go now, your shoulder didn't take too serious damage. But don't forget to change the bandage every morning," the nurse said.
"Thank you," you nodded, standing up from the chair. It was the evening of the big fight and you had gotten yourself to the hospital.
"Y/n!" you heard your brother as soon as you stepped out the door.
"Keigo," you smiled softly, hugging him.
"I was so worried!" he gushed. "Come on. I promised Eraser that I will escort you there after you're free. He sounded pretty worried about you. It also took quite the time to get your friends to leave and go home."
You chuckled. "Yeah. I guess I took quite the damage. It's luckily not fatal."
***
"G'night, Keigo," you said, hugging your brother in front of the doors of U.A. "Get home safe."
"I'm again so sorry I let them take you again. And don't worry, I'll get home just fine," he assured, patting your head.
Mentally exhausted, you couldn't do anything but smile, not having enough energy to keep up the sarcastic side of yourself. So you settled for who you really were on the inside. "It's okay. You couldn't really do anything. Now go if you're planning to get any sleep tonight."
He smiled at you one last time before taking off, leaving you to yawn and drag yourself in the school.
Stepping in the teachers' lounge, you waved tiredly. "Hey. I'm home."
"Y/n!" Mic said happily. "We were all so worried!"
He came to hug you but you scooted away. "Careful with the shoulder, Uncle Mic. It's maybe not fatal but it still hurts."
He nodded. "We are so glad you're okay."
Aizawa nodded. "Yeah. But tell us... what on Earth was the dragon thing?"
You chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of your head.
"Yeah well about that," you said while going to give your father and uncle a hug, them minding your shoulder. "Ya remember how I said that I felt like there was more to the injection?"
The adults in the room nodded. Vlad and Nezu were also there at the moment.
"I was right. Due to something Dabi said back there, I started to have sort of existential crisis and due to that I met the past wielder of my quirk-"
"Past wielder of your quirk?" Nezu asked, interrupting you.
"I'll explain later," you said, waving your hand. "Anyways, turns out he was the one to also help me that night in the start of internships. He helped me get control of that and turns out I can turn into things that have the same traits as me but only if I can imagine them in my head with high accuracy. Which in this case - was a white Night Fury."
You gasped for air, having said it all in one breath. "Any questions?"
The adults blinked at you.
"A lot. Let's take a seat," Aizawa instructed.
"First - what kind of existential crisis?" Nezu asked.
You looked down at your lap and started playing with your fingers. "It has to do something with choosing sides. Life's confusing right now, I hope you understand."
"Are you a villain, Y/n?" Mic asked seriously.
"No! No, of course not! It's just that I started to think if they were really acting all the time they were nice to me or not or if they only hurt me because All For One told them to or if I've been following you guys blindly without thinking. That crisis ended though because I realised I can turn into a dragon," you said. "And I like it here so I doubt anything like that would happen again."
The adults sent you concerned glances but nodded.
"Okay. We can deal with that if it comes back," Aizawa said. "Now the past wielder?"
"Uhh," you started. "The easiest way to say it, is that I'm sort of a Nomu."
The adults' eyes widened.
"What do you mean?" Vlad and Midnight - who had joined at some point - asked together, giving each other a glare after that.
"It means I was injected another person's quirk but my body somehow took it as its own and didn't make me a brain-monster," you explained. "My best guess is that the guy had a fog-type quirk which easily mixed with my own fog. The guy gave me a hint that he was able to transform into the things he was able to make so I figured how it would have mixed with my quirk. I don't know the drawbacks of transforming yet."
"Ooooookay," Mic said, everyone nodding slowly. "Can you show us that?"
You nodded. The dragon from before. A white Night Fury.
When you opened your eyes, they widened with excitement as you saw yourself as a dragon again. I'm a dragon, I'm a dragon, I'm a dragon, I'm a dragon!
You bounced off the couch, starting to hop around the room excitedly.
"Uhh," Aizawa started. You stopped bouncing and turned to him, sitting down.
You tilted your head. "What?"
"Okay this is kinda overwhelming," Midnight said.
You made an 'oh' face, transforming back. "Better? Oh and you can't understand what I say if you didn't figure that out for yourself. And sorry, I got kinda excited about that."
The grown-ups nodded slowly.
"How about we go to sleep and deal with this tomorrow?" Aizawa offered.
"Okay, dad! G'night everyone!" you said, jumping up from sitting criss-cross and hopping over to your room.
"That..." Midnight started.
Mic nodded. "Yeah."
***
"Y/n. Everyone is moving to the dorms soon," Aizawa said while you were eating breakfast.
"Oh. Why?" you asked, mouth half full.
"Safety reasons," Aizawa said. "It'll be about a 5-minute walk from here. I'll also live in the house as your home-room teacher. Everyone that isn't a home-room teacher will stay here."
"Oh, cool," you smiled after swallowing. "When?"
"As soon as possible. All Might and I are going to convince the parents today," he explained, putting shoes on.
So that's what the suit's for. "Okie-dokie, I'll be here," you smiled. "Have a good day." [For a second I thought of sending you with them but my laziness said no.]
***
"Given everything that had happened, I'm glad we were able to bring class A back together," Aizawa said, standing in front of everyone.
"So we all got to go ahead to move on campus," Sero said happily.
Talking like that continued, you sighed, tired from well... past events. I just want to get this over with.
"I'll explain how the dorm assignments work shortly," Aizawa clapped his hands. "First however. We haven't forgotten about the provisional hero licenses you were supposed to get during the training camp."
You furrowed your brows. We were? Guess I didn't catch that part.
"This is important, listen well. Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, Midoriya, Iida. You five are the ones who broke the rules and went to rescue Bakugou and Y/n that night," he sighed. "Based on the reactions, I assume everyone else was at least aware of the plan. I'm going to set aside a number of issues and just say this: If it wasn't for All Might's retirement from the hero scene, I would expel everyone here except for Bakugou, Y/n, Jirou and Hagakure. The five of you who went, of course. But also the 12 of you who didn't stop them. You betrayed our trust, even if it was to prevent your friends from getting in trouble. In order to regain our confidence, you have to obey every rule to the letter and live as model students."
The tension in the air was high, Aizawa turned around.
"That's all. Now look alive, enjoy your new home."
You chuckled at the others. "Come on, guys, let's go!"
The others just looked at you.
"What?" you asked.
"You have... something on your cheek," Kaminari said.
You lifted your hand up. Scales. Guess that's the drawback. I start to look like what I transform into.
Correct, the man said in your mind. But don't you worry, you won't have replaced body parts or anything of that sort. Just the traits like skin, eye colour and stuff like that.
You smiled, thought the voice couldn't see it. "Thanks."
The others tilted their heads at you.
"What? Who are you talking to?" Kirishima asked.
"Nothing, nothing... Now let's go!" you said, waving it off. I have to tell dad the drawbacks later.
Nobody moved. Your smile dropped. Bakugou suddenly took Kaminari behind a bush and made him use his quirk. You smiled softly, catching up to Bakugou after he had finished talking with Kirishima.
"You know, you're a good person," you said quietly.
"Yeah, yeah whatever," he said, rolling his eyes.
You smiled softly. He was a good person.
