Considering how late it was, Mark and Evie invited the others to stay for dinner. The leaders were gathered in the cafeteria, the guests staring at the delicious food in front of them.
Julianne was seated beside her boyfriend, Mark. They were hoping that they wouldn't be too obvious, but seeing that the males and females were mixed, it wasn't too big of an issue.
"Wow, this looks really good." Bang Chan said, staring at the food. The others nodded in agreement, eyeing the various dishes.
"This one Jaehyun-hyung actually came up with." Mark said, pointing at one of the dishes. "It's really good, you all should try it."
Julianne couldn't help but smile, knowing how excited Mark was. He was busy and didn't have time to hang out with friends outside of the company often, so this was a really precious moment for him.
She felt him pat her leg under the table, reassuring her. It's fine, our managers are sitting at another table and the cameras are away, it's just us.
Julianne heard giggling from across the table, noticing that it was Evie and Serim. She recalled what Mark told her about the two, and quickly gave the male a light nudge.
"So do they like each other again?" Julianne whispered to Mark while the others were distracted, talking about their schedules for the next few days.
Mark blinked, glancing at the pair before leaning towards her. "I really don't know. Evie said that she's over him but she's kind of hard to read."
Julianne understood, having spent time with both of them before. Evie was definitely an interesting girl, but it was honestly hard to tell what she wanted.
They continued eating and Julianne heard the others begin conversation as well. Sangyeon seemed to be surprised that Evie was the same age as the maknaes of his group while Jungwon, Hyera, and Chaeri were questioning Bang Chan about producing his own music. It was a happy moment, and it was hard for Julianne to imagine that they were going to be competing against one another soon.
None of that though, Julianne told herself, shaking the thought away. Just enjoy the time we have now, no worries.
...
It was finally the day of MAMA, one of the biggest music shows of the year. FaeZe had just finished their performance, and Hyera was getting ready to perform with her seniors.
"Unnie, how is it?" Yua asked, helping Hyera with her outfit. "Are they scary? I'm nervous about competing against them."
"No, the other group leaders are really nice." Hyera reassured the younger girl. "I'm really excited for the rest of you to get to go meet them too."
"Yua, Hyera, Enhypen's on!" Hwa, their maknae called out to them. Yua immediately ran towards the screen, seated beside Kexing.
Hyera shook her head, knowing the two too well. Despite being in the same company, Yua and Kexing were big fans of Enhypen, particularly Sunghoon and Jake.
"Jake has a sexy brain." Kexing would say, tapping her head. "That's hard to find these days."
"Just look at him." Yua would point to the screen, holding in her squeals as Sunghoon appeared. "He's so handsome. Plus he's really attentive and notices things. That's attractive."
A knock sounded on the door, making heads turn. Hyera went over to answer it, peeking out to see who it was.
"Oh, hi Mark sunbaenim." Hyera said, politely greeting her senior. Like her, Mark was dressed in their stage outfit for their performance.
Mark wasn't alone though, as Hyera peeked over his shoulder to see that a few other NCT Dream members, specifically Haechan, Jisung, and Renjun.
"We have gifts for you and your members." Mark said, holding up two signed albums. The others had ones in their hands as well, to give to FaeZe and their staff.
"Oh yes, we have some for you too!" Hyera said, widening the door for them. She was thankful that they always had signed albums with them, for moments like this. "Wait, we should probably introduce ourselves first. Girls, gather around! Our seniors are here!"
"Wait, but Enhypen is o-" Yua stopped mid sentence once she saw that Jisung was there. Kexing seemed surprised, looking over to see what the commotion was about. She was soon in a similar state, but her eyes were on Haechan instead.
Luckily, Ja:Ne wasn't affected the same way, dragging the two of them over to where Hyera and Hwa were.
"1, 2, 3, Unfazed! Hi, we are FaeZe!" The girls greeted, bowing deeply to their seniors. NCT Dream seemed impressed, applauding them.
"Wow, so put together." Haechan chuckled, looking back at the members. "We should get it together."
This only earned a hard smack from Mark, the leader smiling through it all. "We prepared albums for each of you."
Hyera thanked Mark, taking the album from him before he went over to Ja:Ne. When the girl answered in English, Mark was surprised, instantly starting a conversation. She watched as the others interacted, finding it funny.
Yua was stuttering as she took the album from Jisung, the male equally as shy if not shyer. On the other hand, Kexing was practically drooling as Haechan laughed, complementing Kexing on how good their performance was.
"Well, we should get going since we still haven't performed yet. I'll see you in a bit." Mark said, rubbing the back of his neck. She wasn't sure if he noticed what was going on between their members but Renjun certainly did, the Chinese male muttering how they should go before the other two embarrass them.
Hyera thanked Mark as the males left, leaving the girls behind. The second the door closed, squeals filled the room.
"Oh my gosh, Jisung is so tall." Yua's hands went to her mouth, the girl still thinking about the male. "And attractive. I can't believe he was right here in front of me."
"Haechan is so funny and attractive." Kexing giggled, holding her hands over her chest. "Oh my gosh, I think my heart is going to explode."
Ja:Ne only shook her head, grabbing her phone and shoving her earbuds back in as she went to the corner to nap.

In the corner of Starship's change room, Chaeri sat in the corner, Kate with her. Since their group had just debuted, they weren't invited to perform. Cravity also wasn't performing, so her and Serim shared a change room.
Hyeongjun was there, munching on some snacks as he watched the performances. His eyes were glued to the screen, focused on the movements of the idols performing.
"Unnie, when are you performing?" Kate asked, poking the girl. When Kate heard that Chaeri was going to the awards show alone, Kate had offered to tag along, knowing how lonely it could be.
"I think there's still a few more performances before we have to go backstage. Is that right, Serim oppa?"
Serim was staring at his phone, not paying attention to what was going on around him. It wasn't until Hyeonjun nudged him that he noticed, the male looking around. "Huh?"
"What are you looking at?" Hyeongjun asked, trying to glance at Serim's phone but he slammed it down, hiding whatever it was from him.
"Nothing. We should probably get ready." Serim said, standing up and heading to where his earpiece was. Hyeongjun exchanged looked with Chaeri, who shrugged, not knowing what was up either.
Kate helped her with her earpiece, making sure everything was set. When it was time, the staff came to get them, the two of them heading over to where the other leaders were waiting.
"Do you talk to Evie?" Serim asked all of a sudden, breaking the silence.
"I don't, why?" Chaeri asked back, eyeing the staff member guiding them. He was clearly preoccupied with the stage directions he was getting, but Chaeri knew she couldn't be too careful. "Is there something going on between you two?"
"I thought there was." Serim said as they arrived, entering the backstage area where the others had gathered.
Chaeri watched as his eyes landed on Evie, who was joking around with Sangyeon and Bang Chan, the girl wearing a bright smile on her face. It was obvious that Serim was jealous, wishing that he was there instead.
"But I don't know anymore."
