"To the end of season three!"
We laughed as we cheered and clinked our drinks together. We spent the rest of the night drinking and dancing. Eventually, I had gotten a little too drunk.
I walked over to our booth and sat down. Soon I was joined by Joe. He laughed as he sat next to me.
"My feet hurt," he laughed.
"You're not the one in heels."
We laughed as he playfully pushed me. We sat back, relaxing into the booth.
"Season three is over," he sighed.
"I know," I said, clearing my throat. "It's weird."
"Did Matt tell you whether or not you're returning? Maya was telling me that they are planning on bringing Robin back. Apparently, she's going to work at the video store with Steve."
"Nope," I said, awkwardly scooting over. "As far as we know, Steve will have to find a new coworker to bring into his crazy world next season."
"That's a bummer," Joe said gently. "I really liked Y/C/N."
I glanced over at Joe to see his cheeks slightly pink. He opened and closed his mouth, still not looking at me as he finally added, "And I like you."
His eyes widened like he realized what he said. He looked at me and stuttered, "I just mean. . . It's been fun getting to know you and it would suck for you to leave before. . ."
"There you two are!"
We looked over, slightly jumping when our friends came running over. I glanced at Joe as Natalia grabbed my arm and pulled me to the dance floor. I kept glancing over at Joe to see him watching.
As soon as Natalia and Maya got distracted by other guys on the dancefloor, I slipped away. I sat next to Joe who had gotten two more drinks since I left.
"I have the urge to do something stupid," I sighed.
"I'm stupid," Joe laughed. "Do me."

"Well," I said, clearing my throat. "That was definitely something stupid."
I sat up, clutching his blanket to my chest. I had to resist the urge to look at him. When the embarrassment and small amount of shame for what we just did hit me, I started to carefully get out of his bed.
I gasped and finally looked at him when he grabbed my hand, stopping me.
"Or you could stay," he offered, "and we can do something stupid again in the morning."

I woke up the next morning to the sun shining through the curtains. I was about to move but didn't when I felt someone's arms wrapped around me. I looked over my shoulder, my breath getting caught in my throat when I saw Joe asleep next to me. That's when the memories from last night came flooding back.
We were at the bar, celebrating the wrap of season three. Joe and I had gotten drunk. A little too drunk.
I jumped out of my memories when Joe tightened his arm around my waist. I held my breath as he leaned down and kissed my shoulder. He didn't stop there.
I moaned as his lips trailed up my shoulder and to my neck. I felt him smirk when I let out a small moan. He bit my earlobe before whispering.
"Good morning, beautiful."
"Morning." I cut myself off with a shriek when he bit my ear lobe again.
"It may have been stupid," he whispered, giving me chills, "but what we did last night was definitely the best stupid thing I've ever done."
Joe rolled me over and leaned over me. He smiled down at me. The longer he stared at me, the redder my face burned.
"I have to confess something to you," he whispered. "I've wanted to do what we did last night for a long time."
"Really?" I asked and he instantly nodded. "I have too," I said slowly.
Joe smiled as he leaned down and kissed me. We instantly started moving our lips in sync. He rolled back over so he was hovering over me without breaking the kiss.
Our clothes were already scattered around his room so there was nothing in our way. I giggled against his lips when his hand slid up my thigh, over my stomach until he found what he was looking for.
"Joe," I gasped, breaking the kiss when he squeezed my breast.
"Yeah, baby girl?"
I moaned again at the nickname he continually called me last night.
"Let's not waste any time like we did last night," I sighed dreamily.
"No foreplay?" He smirked.
"Not today, baby," I moaned. "Maybe later. Right now, just kiss me."
"You got it."
He paused, glancing down at my body before letting out a small growl-like moan. He smirked as he added, "Baby girl."
I grabbed his face and forcefully pulled him down, his lips smashing onto mine. We laughed as our lips started roughly moving in sync. He lowered his body just enough that I could feel random parts of him touching random parts of me.
As our lips moved in sync, I grabbed his waist and pulled him down to me. Joe moaned as he positioned himself. He was about to push into me, but I broke the kiss.
"Slow down, cowboy," I said breathlessly.
"What?" He gasped. He pushed himself up so he was hovering over me. "What's wrong?"
"Aren't you forgetting something?" I teased.
I held in my laughter as he studied me, trying to figure it out. I reached over and grabbed what he was forgetting from his bedside table. When I showed it to him, holding it between my two fingers, he laughed.
"You're hot and all," I teased, "but neither one of us are ready for the responsibility of caring for a tiny person."
"You're probably right," he chuckled as he grabbed the condom from me.
I stretched, putting my hands above my head as he opened it and slipped it on. When he was finished, he looked down at me and his smirk grew. He slowly laid back down, hovering over me.
The longer we waited, the more the tension between us built. He pressed his nose to mine, slightly rubbing our noses together.
"I hope you know," his voice came out deep and slow, "this isn't going to be a one-time thing."
"Promise?"
Instead of answering, he thrusted into me. I arched my back and let out a moan as he stretched my walls.
"Joe," I gasped.
I got a moan out of him as I reached down and grabbed his waist. My hands moved with his hips. I tilted my head up and pressed my lips to his. Our lips started moving sloppily in sync as Joe's movements became sharper.
As our tongues fought for dominance, one of Joe's hands slid up my thigh. I moaned in sync with him as he found my bare breast. I felt him smirk right before he squeezed.
"Fuck," he moaned.
"Something wrong?" I asked between breaths.
He leaned up a little, still inside me but far back enough I could see his face. He was biting his lip, slightly chewing on it.
"I've dreamed of making those sounds come out of you," he said, his breathing heavy.
"Oh really?" I teased as I slid my hands up his bare torso. He started chewing on his lip as I massaged his pecks.
"So fucking much," he chuckled darkly.
I gasped as he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine. We instantly fell back in sync, our bodies becoming one. Joe broke the kiss and instantly attached his lips to my neck. I turned my head the other way, giving him more room.
The more he explored my neck, the less attention we both paid to his thrust. I smirked as I rolled us over, switching our positions. I smiled at his confused expression. That expression only lasted a few beats before it darkened into a smirk.
"That was hot," he sighed.
"Just wait."
I leaned down and pressed my lips to his. He let out a deep chuckle as our lips moved in sync. Joe let out a moan as I moved my hips and slipped him into me.
He broke the kiss and was breathing heavily as I slowly rode him. My eyes fluttered open when he let out another deep chuckle.
"What's wrong, baby?" I whispered.
"Nothing," he moaned. "Absolutely nothing."
We both lost track of time as I enjoyed taking over. Soon, Joe got impatient. I gasped, letting out a small laugh as he rolled us back over. The second he was back on top, he continued thrusting into me.
Our moans bounced off the bedroom walls as we got closer to reaching our peaks. When we finally did, it was almost in sync. We were both breathing heavily as we came down off our highs.
Joe rolled over and laid next to me. I felt him reach and grab my hand. I wanted to focus on being here with him, but I couldn't stop wondering how long it would last. How long we would last.
"What do we do now?" I whispered.
I could see him look at me out of the corner of my eye, but I kept staring at the ceiling. He rolled over and gently cupped my face, turning me towards him.
"What do you mean?" He asked gently.
"What if my contract doesn't get renewed for next season?"
He leaned up on his shoulder, never looking away from me. "You're worried that if your contract isn't renewed, we won't see each other as much."
I sat up, keeping the blanket wrapped tightly around my bare chest. I took a shaky breath and looked away. I felt him sit up and wrap his arm around my waist, leaning his chin on my shoulder.
"Let's say, hypothetically, your contract doesn't get renewed," he whispered, "that doesn't mean we're never going to see each other again. We can still be together if we don't work together."
"But we won't see each other as much," I said under my breath. "We'll go from seeing each other every day to. . ."
"To making time for each other," he finished for me.
Joe reached over, gently grabbing my chin and turning me towards him. Still holding my chin, he leaned in and pressed his lips gently to mine. This kiss wasn't like any that we shared last night or this morning. It was gentle and our lips were simply pressed together. When he broke the kiss, he looked deeply into my eyes.
"No matter what," he whispered, "we can make this work. It won't be every day, but it will be as much as possible. I'll make sure of it."
"Promise?" I whispered.
He leaned in and kissed me again. I smiled as the kiss deepened as he laid us down, hovering over me. When he broke the kiss, he leaned his forehead against mine.
"I promise."
