Dr. Adelman and Alora carried on their conversation more specifically about the younger days with the team. There were many funny and embarrassing moments mentioned which only softened Alora's heart towards the team. She didn't see them as heartless cold killers. She viewed them as humans with emotions. How could killers laugh, smile or even love? It's impossible.
Alora fixed Devine's hair into two french braids.
"Are you ready to go home, Devine?" Alora said smiling cheekily
"Ready!"
Alora took ahold of Devine's tiny hand.
"Hello everyone!" Manuel said loudly as he walked into the hospital room
"Grandpa!" Devine yelled out in excitement letting go of Alora's hand she ran to Manuel hugging him tightly
Manuel hugged her back "It's good to see you up and running again"
"I'm glad you could make it father"
"Ahh yes, I just wanted to see Devine. Your mother and I have a surprise for her actually."
"Really?! A surprise?!" Devine said smiling
"Yup the first surprise is waiting in the car with your grandmother"
"Daddy! Can I go see the surprise, please?!
"Of course"
"I wanted to also ask if she could sleepover for a few days. There's a really important task that you need to do. I've already informed Cedric he'll update you."
"Ofcourse father. See you soon okay angel?"
"Okay bye, Daddy! Bye Alora!"
Manuel and Devine exited the hospital room leaving Alora and Axel to themselves.
"Come on baby let's go home," Axel said reaching his hand out to hold Alora's hand
Both their hands intertwined and they walked out of the hospital room with smiles across their faces. The two walked to the elevators and waited for the doors to open.
"You know I'm really glad we met Alora," Axel said softly
"I'm glad as well," Axel said smiling
The two stepped into the elevator. The elevator reached the first level with ease. Before they knew it they were already entering into the back seats of the car where Oliver was waiting.
"I hope all went well," Oliver said
"It did Oliver thank you," Axel said
"Where to sir?"
"The mansion," Axel said
Twenty Minutes Later...
Oliver parked in front of the mansion. Axel and Alora both thanked him before exiting the car. They both entered the mansion where the rest of the team was.
"You're back finally, how was the hospital?" Cedric said
"It was fine, now let's discuss the mission," Axel said
"Yeah sure so-"
"In the office," Axel said
"Wait Axel," Alora said interrupting
Axel looked over at Alora
"Would you be okay with me being a part of the meeting?"
Axel's eyes widen by surprise from her question
"You did do one of our missions yesterday and successfully too," Lilith said
"Let's just discuss everything here, welcome to the team baby," Axel said winking
Alora smiled proudly at his words.
"Glad to be here"
Cedric cleared his throat and scanned the papers in his hands with his eyes.
"Your father noticed a lower percentage in his overall total of the Santiago business. Seems like someone has been secretly stealing from us."
"What?! How much?!' Axel asked angrily furrowing his brows
"I've calculated it all by comparing the sum to last year and approximately 3 million was stolen"
"Three million?! Who stole the damn money, Cedric?!"
"Blake Collymore, he works for us as a debt collector for clients but seems like his monthly salary of fifty million didn't satisfy him"
"We're ending this all tonight," Axel said
Alora stood quietly listening and watching the emotions of every member of the team.
"Just fire him or something," Liam said
"That would work but I was thinking of something much more fun," Alora said
"What do you mean?" Cedric said
"Call Blake first and ask about his whereabouts"
"Okay," Cedric said shrugging
Lilit handed over Cedric his phone
"Why did Lilith have your cellphone?" Phoenix asked
"Why does Macy have a hickey on her neck?" Cedric asked chuckling
"Nevermind," Phoenix said
Macy blushed silently embarrassed by the question.
Cedric continued with the call and placed the phone to his ear.
"H-" Cedric said
Alora got up and snatched the phone from Cedric quickly
"Hello Blake, this is Axel's assistant with a message from Mr.Santaigo himself," Alora said
"Oh! Go on" Blake said
"With the extreme efforts by you! There has been a tremendous rise in the company's business. Mr.Santiago would like to have a quick meeting with you and involve a couple of million dollars in there as well. Are you free right now?"
"Yes! I'm free. Where should I meet him?"
"Come down to the Santiago Mansion. He'll be waiting"
Alora ended the call and handed back Cedric his phone
"What an actress you are," Cedric said laughing
"Wait what's even the plan?" Hunter asked
"Lure him into his death trap," Alora said winking
Axel smiled at Alora
"In other words, Axel will be waiting in his office downstairs. I'll follow him behind and end it all from there. Now I just need a gun to borrow."
"I can grab one from the weapon room," Lilith said
"Theres no time" Alora said
"Here just use mine," Hunter said handing his gun over
"Thanks"
"I'll see you downstairs Mr.Santiago," Alora said jokingly
Axel chuckled and headed to his office. The rest of the team got into position hiding within the area just in case backup is needed.
Alora hid the gun and paced back and forth waiting for the door to knock. She replayed the scene over and over again in her mind.
This has to go as planned, she thought to herself deeply
Ten minutes later a knock at the front door brings a smirk to her face. Alora walks over and answers it to see a man smiling widely.
"Come in, You must be Blake"
"Yup I am"
"Just head downstairs Mr.Santaigo is in his office"
"Thank you," Blake said stepping inside
Alora shut the front door and watched and Blake headed downstairs to the secret level floor. She pulled the gun out slowly from her hiding spot and followed Blake behind into Axel's office.
Alora shut Axel's office door closed making it impossible for Blake to escape.
"Hello Mr.Santiago" Blake said
"There's no time for Hellos but there is time for goodbyes"
"What do you mean boss?"
"Tell me the truth Blake" Axel said glaring at him
"Tell you what?" Blake said confused
"You've been stealing from me?"
Blake's mouth dropped open
"Oh! Well! It wasn't much! I promise to pay back!" Blake yelled
"Oh you will pay back Blake," Alora said pointing the gun to his head
Gunshots fired repeatedly
"NO! Axel!"
