Back At The Restaurant....
"Enjoy your meals," The waiter said placing the plates on the table
"Yay pancakes!" Devine said before taking a bite
Alora giggled and took a sip from her hot chocolate. Axel winked at Alora who continued to take sips from her mug.
"Looks like you're enjoying the hot chocolate," Axel said cutting into his own pancakes
Devine starts to cough uncontrollably. Alora quickly rests her mug on the table.
"Devine are you okay?!" Alora shouted rubbing her back
Devine continues to cough and hold her stomach. Alora gets up from her seat and picks up Devine.
"We have to go to the hospital now! Axel!"
Axel gets up from his seat and runs out of the restaurant along with Alora.
"Where's Oliver?!" Axel yelled with panic
Axel pulls out his phone calling 911 instead.
"Hello?! I need an ambulance urgently! We're at Moondust Morning! Hurry! She's dying!" Axel put his phone back into his pocket to attend to Alora who's caring for Devine. He cursed under his breath impatient for the ambulance's arrival.
Axel paced back and forth breathing in and out deeply. His breaths mixed in with the sounds of Devine's coughing which started to introduce gasps. It was a tune of a nightmare he couldn't wake up from.
The ambulance parked in front of the restaurant and the two medics rushed to Devine's aide.
"Get the EpiPen from the bag now!" one of the medics shouted
The other medic searched within the huge medic baggage and pulled out the EpiPen which they inserted into Devine's thigh urgently. Devine's coughs started to settle down as well as the gasps. The medics brought out the stretcher and settled Devine into the ambulance.
"We're taking her to NYC Medical Care," a medic said to Alora who's crying uncontrollably
"Thank you we'll be there," Axel said
Axel pulled Alora into a tight hug comforting her.
"It's okay you did a wonderful job making sure she was safe" Axel said trying to calm her down
Axel cupped her face and placed a gentle kiss on her lips.
"Axel let's just go to the hospital," Alora said pulling away
"Yeah...I'll just call Oliver to drop us off there"
Axel pulled out his phone but before he could usher for Oliver his car was already pulling up in front of Moondust Morning. Axel opened the door for Alora who took a seat quietly. Axel then got into the car and shut the door.
"Welcome Sir" Oliver said
"Thank you but Oliver, not right now. I don't feel welcomed at all," Axel said
"My apologies, where to?"
"NYC Medical Care," Axel said
Oliver started the car trying to fight back from smirking at the words. He had wondered what could possibly have happened now for them to need to rush to the hospital.
The car ride was quiet but the thoughts were loud. Axel and Alora were in a panic. What had happened to Devine?
Fifteen Minutes Later...
It took approximately fifteen without traffic for them to arrive at the hospital. They both thanked Oliver and went on their way. Oliver drove off while Axel and Alora entered the hospital.
Alora stopped at the front desk but Axel stopped her.
"Come this way," Axel said
Alora followed and they both went onto the private ward floor using the elevator. The secretary at the front desk of the private floor allowed them both to enter handing Axel over a card with a number on it, PV47. Which happened to be Devine's hospital room.
They both entered to see Devine asleep with an oxygen mask over her face and connected to an IV. Alora looked at Devine while her eye softened.
The doctor came in and shook Axel's hand.
"Thank you for coming as soon as possible. There are really urgent things I need to discuss with you regarding Devine." The doctor said
"Go on," Axel said furrowing his brow
"This is a medical case of extreme allergic reaction. We've also had an allergen come in and view her symptoms. The EpiPen really saved her. Her airways had been blocked which caused the horrible coughing and gasps."
Axel's nose flared as he listened to the doctor's words. Alora listened quietly remembering what Axel had said to the waiter. "No walnuts" had the waiter put them in on purpose or was this a new allergy on the list.
"Thank you for the information doctor."
"I'll be prescribing extra EpiPens for you Mr. Santiago and please always keep one on you. They are very handy. You know Devine is like a grandchild to me so please always keep one on you."
"I sure will Doctor Adelman."
The doctor had left the room after their conversation. Axel cursed again under his breath but louder this time.
"I'm calling my parents to keep watch of her. I have some things to sort out Axel said bluntly."
Axel left the room to make the call. Alora brought her face lower to Devine.
"Get well soon butterfly," Alora said before placing a gentle motherly kiss on her forehead
Alora waited in the hall for Axel to finish his call.
"Are they coming?" Alora asked
"Yes they are," Axel said
They both waited for almost an hour before Manuel and Mara arrived. They both hugged the two before Axel announced his quick leave. Alora followed Axel taking ahold of his hand. She felt a burning flame within her soul; anger and sadness.
"We're going back to the mansion," Axel said
"You go on without me. I changed my mind; I want to stay back with Devine"
"Of course be safe and call me if you need a ride home."
"I will," Alora said pulling Axel in for a kiss. She tugged at his lips playfully before letting him leave.
She watched as he exited the hospital with his parent's driver. Alora chuckled to herself
"I'm sorry Axel but this is the one time I'll be lying to you" Alora whispered to herself.
Alora exited the hospital and flashed a cab. She sat quietly in the back watching the stores they passed. Within ten minutes she asked the cab driver to stop in front of a convenience store which was only five minutes away from Moondust Morning.
Alora walked the rest of the way back to the restaurant. She entered the store which was empty since the morning had come to an end. Alora went to the cash desk and waited for the same cashier to "take her order"
"Oh! You're back!" He said surprised
"I sure am" Alora giggled
"You didn't finish your food," He said
"Yeah, we left in a rush. I'm feeling very hungry but not for food" Alora whispered
"Huh?"
"I saw the way you were looking at me this morning. Don't let Mr. Santiago stop you from getting a bite." Alora said with a smirk
The waiter smiled and breathed out.
"Tell me what you're hungry for beautiful"
"I'd love a taste of a man that looks like you," Alora said winking
"I'm Noah by the way"
"Well, I'd love a Noah. I'm Angie" Alora said lying
"Why don't you come into the back room with me and get a taste," Noah said winking
Alora followed him behind into the back room but as soon as she closed the backroom shut. She slashed his back with a knife. Noah screamed out in pain and Alora grabbed his throat squeezing it.
"I'll spare your life if you tell me what you put in those pancakes!"
"I...don't know...what you're talking a...about!" Noah said in pain
"Don't play stupid with me your life is on the line!" Alora said
"Fine...He asked for no...for no walnuts...I assumed they were...deadly to him... so I...put extra of them... in the pancake batter"
Alora chuckled and shook her head.
"You tried to murder him?!" Alora asked clenching onto the bloody knife
"Y-yes?!" Noah said stuttering
Alora sliced his throat with the knife. Blood came gushing out of Noah's mouth as he gasped.
"Keep on gasping like you made an innocent child did! The only difference is...You'll die!" Alora screamed
Alora took out her phone and paused the voice recording. Her hands were bloody so she left Noah in the backroom bleeding to death while she cleaned herself up and changed into a pair of Moondust Morning uniforms.
Meanwhile...Axel's Mansion
"That son of a b*tch did what?!" Cedric yelled out
"You heard me! He almost got Devine killed!" Axel yelled out
"What's the plan?" Lilith asked
"Death!" Axel yelled
The team all got into their position and exited the mansion in their cars. They all drove over to the Moondust Morning restaurant and exited through the back door.
Axel tapped at the front cashier table and awaited.
"Coming!" Alora said from the kitchen
"What would you like to-" Alora said but stopped in shock to see Axel
"What are you doing here?!" Axel said angrily
"I can't tell you, Axel," Alora said
"Why not?! Stop playing around with me!"
"Promise you won't get me arrested," Alora said staring at him
"Why would I get you arrested? Alora...what did you do?" Axel asked
"Follow me," Alora said
"Everyone, come in through the back door. There's a change of plans. Make sure to close down the restaurant." Axel said through his mic
Axel followed Alora who led him to Noah.
Axel's eyes widened as he saw the waiter laying in a pool of blood.
"Did you?" Axel asked
"Yes" Alora answered with no sign of emotion on her face
"I'll get someone to clean this up," Axel said making a call
Axel came back into the room and took ahold of Alora's hand.
The rest of the team was waiting in the restaurant.
"Alora?!" Cedric said
"She got him before we did," Axel said
"Wait..are you saying that he killed him?!" Lilith asked
"Yes," Axel said
"A female Axel is a dangerous creation," Phoenix said
"So what do we do now?" Macy asked
"Copy his handwriting," Alora said
"Huh?" Macy asked confused
"Copy his handwriting and make a letter to sound like he quit. His name was Noah he said." Alora shrugged
The team all looked at each other quietly.
"Cedric, stay back and make sure the mess is cleaned up. Macy and Bridgette, find an order he's written and a piece of ID. Make a letter then get one of the guards to bring it here. Our mission is dismissed." Axel said
Axel held Alora's hand tighter and exited through the back and into his car
They drove back to the mansion.
"I assume you'd want to take a shower," Axel said to Alora
"Are you mad at my actions?' Alora asked
"I'm mad I didn't reach earlier to see you take charge," Axel said cupping Alora's face
He kissed her deeply and softly.
"There are other ways you can see me in action. Why don't we release some stress I know today has been stressful" Alora said winking
