Y/n walks next to Toph back to camp
Y/n: I'll see you in the morning!
Toph: I wish I could see you at any time...
They both laugh as they go their separate ways
Y/n walks into his room and looks in the mirror
He looks himself in the eyes
What if I don't go out there...?
Will they still be able to win...?
What lives will be lost...?
Y/n: I'm going out there to fight...
Azula:Well I hope so...otherwise I'd be having all the fun...
Y/n laughs a bit
Y/n: As if you care...
Azula: Who am I to not fight alongside my champion...?
Y/n: How long have you been in here anyway?
Azula: When you walked off I came in here immediately...I figured you wouldn't be out there very long...
Y/n: And if I was?
Azula:I would've dragged you in here myself...
Y/n: That almost makes me want to go out there just to see you try...
Azula: You know y/n I don't think I've ever told you this but...your eyes...even in complete darkness they radiate power, like a fire is inside of them and I find it alluring and hard to look away from at times...
Y/n: Is something wrong Azula, don't get me wrong, I enjoy to compliments but it's odd...
Azula: I need something from you...
Y/n: What ever you need...
Azula: Wan has informed me that you don't need to sleep, I suspected this in the past because you were always guarding my door with what I assumed to be minimal sleep...turns out it was none...
Y/n: I can definitely sleep, just don't need to...
Azula: Remember how when you used to hold my hand when I slept when I was scared...?
Y/n: How could I forget all the bruises and burned hands I received...?
Azula:I need you to do that again...I'm scared...things that I'm sure my mind is making up but still frightens me...
She grabs his hand as she lays down
He looks at her and smiles
Y/n: So...no burns or bruises in the morning right?
Azula closes her eyes and smiles back
Azula:No promises...
He watches over her as he sleep as Wan sits on his shoulder
The sun rises once again as doors can be heard opening as everyone is waking up
Azula wakes up as well as she sees y/n still holding her hand
Azula: No burns...?
Y/n: No burns...
He gently releases her hand
Y/n: We have a long day tomorrow and I think we should-
Katara knocks on the door
Y/n opens it up
Katara: Have you seen Azula? She wasn't in her room...
Y/n: Yea she's in here...
Katara: Would Aang be in there by any chance?
Y/n:No...we don't know where he is...?
Katara: I didn't see him in his room and I've looked around a bit and still no luck...
Y/n: Azula needs to get ready anyway, I'll help...
Katara: Great! Thanks!
Y/n walks out the door as Wan flies onto his arm
Wan: It's odd...I don't know where he has gone either...
Y/n: If he never came back then I assume he's still outside...is Appa still here?
Katara: Yes, but Momo is gone too...
Y/n: I'll head to the beach and look around...
He hurries to the beach as he looks for Aang heat signature...
Y/n:Found it...
He follows it around for a bit as he sees it leads directly into the water
Y/n: Yue?
She appears in front of him and looks just as confused
Yue: He walked into the water but then he disappeared without a trace...
Y/n: So he just..vanished? Any ideas Wan...
Wan:My best guess is somewhere in the spirit world,although exactly where I'm not sure of...
Y/n sits down on the sand
Y/n:I've been to the spirit world a couple times...I'll look for him quickly...
Wan:I shall join you...
Yue:I'll join too! I'm sort of new to being a spirit so it'll be good for me...
Y/n:Fine by me...
He puts his hand out so Yue can grab it
She grabs his hand
Yue: Ready...
Wan: I'm ready for our departure as well...
Y/n closes his eyes and meditates as he feels his surroundings change
As he opens his eyes he is in a bright space
Y/n: Where are we Wan?
Wan: It's quite peculiar, I don't think I've seen anything quite like this...
Y/n: I've felt this before...I've been here...with Aang, it was in the desert when Aang got angry, I brought him here and everything felt...perfect...
Wan: That doesn't exactly help show where we are...
Yue: I've felt this before as well...
Wan: Oh? You'll actually be able to contribute?
Yue: Very funny...
Y/n: When have you felt this before...?
Yue: This feeling...it's an intensified feeling of something else...
Y/n: Of what?
Yue: When the sun rises...this feels like that..but more...
Wan: We couldn't be possibly be in the middle of the sun could we? We'd burn up instantaneously...
Y/n: I'm not as powerful as the sun...I'm skeptical as well...
Wan: But I suppose if your power can be contributed to by heat, I think the sun is giving you the power to make it safe...
Y/n: Then how come the comet could kill me but the sun won't...?
Yue: You and the sun are connected on a physical and spiritual level, you are one just as me and the moon are...
Wan: So it's true then...we are currently in the middle of the sun...even with The Eternal Flame the idea seems...
Yue: Inspired?
Wan:Not the word I would use...
Y/n:I do feel strong here, I feel like I could take the sun with me...
Wan: Perhaps try to find Aang now?
Y/n closes his eyes for a bit
He smiles
Wan: Anything new?
Y/n: He will be ready...he is already awaiting the arrival of Ozai...
Yue: I wish we could stay...
Y/n:I feel like time works differently here...it's probably getting late back home...
Wan:Then let us return...
Y/n puts his hand out as Yue grabs it again and Wan flies on his shoulder
He returns back to the beach as y/n stands up he sees he is now sitting on glass
Sokka sees y/n
Sokka: I knew you'd be back soon! Hey guys come over here!
The other all run up with Appa
Y/n looks into the sky and realizes it's been an entire day
Sokka: I've been out here all day...
Y/n: What about everyone else?
Sokka: We all took turns watching you yesterday but I watched you for this whole morning...you find Aang?
Y/n: More or less...he is ready to fight...
Sokka: I guess that means we all should get going since it's about that time..but I wanted to show you something!
He takes the sword off his back and his boomerang
Y/n looks and sees his name engraved on both of them
Sokka: I've spent pretty much both of these days on this, I wanted to make it look good...
Y/n smiles a bit as a tear goes down his eye
Sokka: Does it look that bad?
Y/n: It looks amazing...
Y/n creates a tiny beam and carves Sokka's name into his wrist blade
He cuts his own chest slightly
Y/n: To my Blood Bond Sokka...
Sokka: Do I have to...use my blood too?
Y/n laughs
Y/n:No...
Sokka: Okay, I thought it was mandatory or something...
Y/n kneels down
Y/n: May your blade be as sharp as your mind, may your blade share the strength of your fighting spirit and will...
Sokka: Thanks y/n...but what if I'm not ready...?
Y/n: Even if you are not ready for the day, it cannot always be night...
Sokka smiles and hugs y/n
He gets onto Appa
Sokka: I'll see you on the other side y/n...
Katara hugs y/n next
Katara: Be safe and be careful with Aang...
Y/n:I'll try...
She gets onto Appa next...
Suki hugs y/n
Suki: I wish we got to spend more time together,but after the war I hope that will change...
Y/n:vYou're you're going to be with my blood bond I need to make sure he remains safe...you'll see me often...
Suki jumps onto Appa as well
Zuko walks up
Zuko: I suppose this is where we part ways...not forever, but temporarily...umm I wish you the best of of luck...
Y/n laughs and hugs Zuko
Y/n: Be careful out there okay?
Zuko's eyes widen a bit as he hugs y/n a bit tighter
He releases the hug with a smile on his face
Zuko nods his head as he gets onto Appa
Toph walks up last
Y/n is expecting to be punched in the shoulder
She puts her arms out for hug
He is a bit confused but goes to hug her
She lifts him up and squeezes as he feels one of his ribs crack
Toph: Please don't leave me again...
She let's go of him as her head is tilted down
Y/n lifts her head up gently
Y/n: As long as you feel the heat when that sun rises, so will I...
Toph smiles
She jumps onto Appa
Y/n walks in front of Appa
Y/n: Hey buddy I need you to be extra strong today okay?
Wan: I wish you luck as well my friend, I know I've said some rude things about you but I take them back...may the Spirit's guide you in your flight...and may they help you fight...
Appa licks them both
Wan: Although I will say...this is more than uncalled for...
Everyone laughs as they slowly fly off and wave
Azula is the only one left
Azula: Come on, we shouldn't take to too long...
Wan grows in size
Wan: Hop on, the battle with start soon...
Y/n jumps on as he helps Azula up as well
She holds onto him as they fly
The slience seems peaceful
For just a moment the war was forgotten and the beauty the world has to show is shown...
But the illusion of peace isn't true until after the batlle...
They look down and see soliders and tanks
Wan: After I drop you two off I can help you fight as well...
Y/n smiles at Azula
Y/n: Ready?
Azula: With you? Always...
They both jump off as Wan gets close to the ground
The sky turns a bit red as the comet is seen flying overhead
Y/n can feel the increase in power immediately
The army in front of them starts to charge as they do the same
In the distance Aang is looking at the fight as he seen flashes of blue and red in the distance and an occasional beam from y/n
Ozai stands in front of Aang
Ozai: You arrived just to see your pathetic dream crash and burn...just as you will...
Aang: Ozai you can still stop, if you don't then I might not be able to stop y/m from killing you...
Ozai: Then he fall just like you will...
They start to fight as well
Y/n and Azula continue to fight as Wan occasionally will rip up a tank with his claws and beak
Yue shows up as giants waves come in take out any solider and tanks that get in the way
Y/n: Thanks Yue!
Yue: Thank me by winning! Keep going! Keep winning!
Azula: Go help Aang! Save the world!
He gets a determined look on his face and sees them fighting he dashes through the fight and jump up to Aang
Aang: How's the plan going?
Y/n: Pretty good, looks like you improvised and left the other day...
Aang:I'll tell you about it later...
Y/n:I guess we handle Ozai...
Y/n starts to firebend together with Aang
Ozai is having a hard time if keeping up
Aang shoots water at y/n
It turns into steam on contact making it hard for Ozai to see
Y/n feels his body heat and jumps out and knocks Ozai to the ground
Ozai breathes fire as y/n puts his hand up and absorbs it and shoots it to the side
He headbutts Ozai before throwing him up into the air
Aang airbends him back towards y/n who punches him the stomach
Ozai is launched back and hits a rock
Ozai is quickly defeated
Y/n takes out his wrist blade and walks towards him
Aang cuts him off
Aang: We completely and decisively beat him...we won...
Y/n:Almost...
Aang: I won't let you...
Y/n: I wonder,is this optimism or delusion? Is this kindness or idiocy? I think it's the latter for both options...
Aang: Is this justice or just petty revenge? Is this to help everyone or to satisfy you? I think it's the same thing you said...
As Y/n pushes Aang out of his way a rock is thrown at him
He blocks it as it burns away
Clouds start to roll in as the rain starts to fall
Y/n:Is this what you want Aang? I still have the comet on my side...
Aang:I don't want you to do this for revenge...
Y/n:You really are lost Aang....
He shoots a beam at him as Aang dodges it with airbending
Y/n grabs Aang and throws him into a rock as he yells
Y/n:I'll have Katara heal him...gotta handle Ozai first...
Y/n hears moving behind and sees a giant rock thrown at him
His eyes widen as cuts it in half
After which, he sees Aang in the Avatar State
Y/n:Fine! If you want to fight then I shall!
Aang doesn't say anything
Y/n:That's the smartest thing you've said all day...
Y/n runs straight at Aang
Aang lifts the ground in front of him to slow him down but y/n uses it to jump up to Aang who is flying
Aang puts y/n into a ball of water
Y/n is seen yelling as he takes the heat out of the water which freezes it
He shatters it and throws the ice at him
Aang uses earthbending to block it and throws it at y/n as he uses Combustion bending to blow it up
Lighting from the sky starts to crash towards to ground and towards Aang as y/n lightning bends
The cracks of lightning ring the sky
Y/n's fire burns blue as he firebends at Aang quickly and precisely burning him slightly
Aang puts y/n in a boulder and throws him into the ocean and airbends him as deep as he can
Y/n causes an explosion near himself as the water shoots up as well as bits of the rock
Aang is taken by surprise as y/n throws him into a mountain
He looks and sees y/n jumping down with his wrist blade
Aang dodges as looks behind him and sees the mountain, the ground and clouds in the sky have split in half showing the sun in clear view
Y/n coughs bit
I can feel myself burning up...but I can't stop...
Y/n flicks his hand down and his beams drop from the sky
Every second I feel it fading...
Y/n puts his hand into the ground as Lava shoots from the earth
My inner flame...
Y/n yells as he covers his body in fire and jumps at Aang and fights him amoung all the chaos
I'm burning out...
Aang isn't fighting anymore as he sees y/n's punches and attacks getting weaker
Not yet...
He continues to fight as Aang uses everything he can to dodge...
This is my fault...but I couldn't let everyone fight without me...right?
Y/n falls down as he coughs up smoke
I can't give up...Ozai took so much from me..from my people, my nation, from the world...
Y/n attacks are slow, and weak as he is becoming the same...
The comet passes as y/n falls on his back and looks at the sun
Slience fills his ears and his thoughts fill his head
His vision starts to fade as all he can see and feel is the warmth of the sun
You know...in an attempt to solve a problem that didn't exist...I exposed a problem I didn't know I had...
Me, I'm the problem...
If I wasn't here everything would've been the same...
Sokka and Katara would've found Aang...
Aang would've mastered all elements...
Toph would've followed the group...
Toph still would've learned metal bending...
Zuko still would've regained his honor...
Zuko still would've had Iroh...
Zuko and Aang still would've seen the last dragons...
Aang would've beat the firelord...
Without me...
I didn't save anyone...except for Azula...
Yea...I guess I did save someone...
Someone who meant the world to me...that counts as saving the world right?
When we are so insignificant in the grand scheme of things,if you found the people who care about you...why would you want to let them down?
He smiles and laughs as tears start to fall from his eyes as he reaches towards the sun
The sun will still rise without me...
I wish I could say something...
I wish I could say sorry to Aang ...
I wish I could say sorry to the gang...
I wish could say sorry to everyone who has been rooting for me since the beginning...
Pushing me to do better and get stronger...
Stuck by me when I couldn't talk...
Stuck by me through it all...
I wish I could go up to every single one of them and hug them and tell them I'm sorry...
And thank them...
I've let you all down...
But I think my flame has been burned out...extinguished...
