Today was thanksgiving but since Derek and Meredith were just about to move they would do it back in New York and a bit closer to Christmas.
Meredith was packing some last-minute things such as the toys that they had left out for the boys to play with to occupy them while they packed boxes. Derek was packing their diaper bag for on the plane just in case they got messy or had an accident as they might get nervous to go to the bathroom on the plane.
Meredith was dressed in a yellow dress and white heels and her hair was up in a somewhat high bun and the triplets were wearing the same thing as Derek.
Derek walked into the room in an amber yellow silk button-up shirt and black dress pants and black dress shoes with hair done perfectly.
"Well don't you look handsome" Meredith smiled at Derek and put one hand on his chest and the other on the back of the neck as he smiled and leaned down to kiss her on the lips and soon heated it up.
"Mama! Dada!" Matthew yelled interrupting their make-out session
"What is it, Matthew?" Meredith asked a bit concerned
"Sullivan and Devereux are fighting!" He yelled as he butchered their name a bit
"Maybe we shouldn't have given them such long names" Derek sighed and smiled at Meredith who glared at him and walked over to Matthew
"Where are your brothers?" Meredith asked him
"In der," he said as he pointed to their old playroom
"Come," Matthew said as he grabbed his mother's hand and lead her into the old playroom.
When they walked in Devereux and Sullivan were pulling on each other shirts and hair
"Boys, boys, boys!" Meredith yelled as she picked up the one who was the roughest. Sullivan.
"Skol'ko raz ya govoril tebe ne drat'sya!" Meredith asked in Russian as she raised her voice
(How many times have I told you no fighting)
"He started it" Devereux cried as he had scratches all over his face that were bleeding as well as Sullivan but he didn't have as many as Devereux but he still had a lot
"Chto ya budu delat' s etimi mal'chikami" she whispered under her breath had she carried Sullivan and held Devereux's hand and lead him out of the room as they were both crying
"Ya ne znayu" Matthew replied in Russian making Meredith smile at him
(I don't know).
Meredith was trying to teach the boys Russian, but it may be harder with them growing up in New York but she would make it work.
"Wow, what happened to you two?" Derek asked as they came into the living room where he was now sitting my the couch
"They got into a fight," Matthew said as he sat down next to Derek
"Is that so?" He asked again.
Sullivan and Devereux didn't answer except nod their heads
"Well, who's fault was it?" Derek asked
"Derek, that part doesn't matter"
"Yes it does, I need to know who wanted to start a fight and who was only protecting themselves," Derek said as he brought Devereux into his lap
"They should have come and told us instead of starting a fight, they were both involved," Meredith said as she sat Sullivan down on the couch and went to grab a first aid kit.
"Are you okay?" Derek asked Devereux as he ran his hand through his black hair. Devereux just hummed no and shook his head and cried more pushing his face into Derek's chest.
"What about you, Sullivan," Derek asked softly as he knew Sullivan most likely started it because If there was any fight Sullivan always had something to do with it.
"NO!" He yelled and jumped off the couch and ran to Meredith who was walking back with the first aid kit as he cried into her skirt
"Mama!" he cried into her skirt as he wrapped with little arms around her legs. She set down the first aid kit and picked him up as he then wrapped his arms around her neck and his legs around her waist.
"I know baby" she whispered in his ear as she held onto his back and he cried into her shoulder and went back and sat down on the couch where Derek was.
"He's the one that started it?" Derek asked
"That's what Matthew said so I assume so" she did as she placed Sullivan on her lap and he buried his head in her breasts
"Then it's his fault," Derek said getting upset
"Derek, you can't be mad at him he's only one with two brothers their gonna fight that's just what boys do, I grew up with eleven of them and all of their fights with each other ended with them in the ER and sometimes needing surgery we're just lucky my parents could afford it all," Meredith said
"And why did they always fight?" Derek asked as he dabbed a cold wet cloth over Devereux's scratches
"I don't know because their idiots and they didn't know how to express their feelings especially with having a little sister it was all new to them"
"Did they ever fight with you?" Derek asked as Meredith started cleaning some of Sullivan's scratches as Matthew watched tv
"Yea" she sighed as she focused on Sullivan's face
"How'd that end"
"It never did, I ended up in the hospital most of the time and needed surgery sometimes, sometimes I even coded," Meredith said as she looked at Derek when she said the last part
"They were that bad?!" Derek yelled
"Yes, but they don't do it anymore"
"Well I hope not, and then they hate me for marrying you, idiots" he whispered the last part
"Yea, but my father never did anything about and my mother couldn't because they were all stronger and taller than the both of us, and she always got worried about me when me and when my brothers would argue because she didn't want it to escalate. The only brother she trusted alone with was my brother William because he never hit me like my other brothers always did. So she would take me away on weekends we have this other house that my mom grew up in and living in. we would go there on the weekends and sometimes longer to have a break from them"
"That's must have been nice"
"Believe me, It was. Having eleven brothers and ten of them hating you isn't easy especially when some of them still hate me"
"Like who?" Derek asked as Devereux had fallen asleep after he had finished with his scratches
"Ethan" she glared at him
"Yea, that one I can see"
"Well, I think I'm done, but it is you're nap time boys so get ready Matt" Meredith said as she picked up a sleepy Sullivan
"I think he's already asleep" Derek chuckled as he looked at Matthew who was asleep on the floor.
Meredith took Sullivan to the other side of the couch and laid him on there as he fell asleep and put a blanket on top of him and kissed his forehead and did the same with Matthew after she put him on the couch and Devereux.
"Don't I get a kiss too?" Derek asked as he stood in front of Meredith
"Yes, you do" she smiled and continued their make-out session.
