"Xie Lian stop spouting nonsense , stop terrifying me." Feng Xin said as he slowly began to lose his calm.
"I wish i was." Xie Lian replied as he made eye contact with his best friends.
"There has to be something , we can do something right?" Mu Qing anxiously asked.
"no , there is nothing we can do , i have only a week left."
Feng Xin and Mu Qing's eyes widened when they heard their best friend had only a week left.
"WHAT BULLSHIT ARE YOU SPOUTING , WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US EARLIER?" Feng Xin shouted.
"XIE LIAN , WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING." Mu Qing followed.
" I was not planning on letting anyone know , only Guoshi knew but my spiritual energy is getting drained at a much faster pace than i expected ."
" i can't pretend anymore , i can't lie to San Lang anymore , IT HURTS SO MUCH , I FEEL LIKE I AM LOSING MY MIND , WHY ME , WHY ME ?" Xie Lian shouted as he turned his back on his friends.

As Xie Lian remained unconscious on the bed , the two martial gods felt as if they were going insane.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO NOW ? HAVE YOU LOOKED AT HIM ? HE LOOKS WORSE THAN A DEAD PERSON. " Feng Xin said as he threw random objects in his possession on the floor.
" Should we tell Hua Chengzu ? " Mu Qing asked.
"We cannot , he practically begged us not to tell him . " Feng Xin replied.
"Then what the hell are we supposed to do , his condition is becoming worse, he doesn't even look like he will even last one more day." Mu Qing said.
"WHY DOES SHIT LIKE THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS TO HIM ? WHY CAN'T HE JUST LIVE NORMALLY?"
" you guys are worrying too much , I am glad you guys are here with me." Came a voice across the room from a man dressed in white looking pale as ever.
"Your Highness , you need to rest , why are you here?" Mu Qing said in concerned tone.
"I need your guys's help." Xie Lian pleaded.
"What the hell are you saying? Do you know what he will do when you say that shit to him?" Feng Xin shouted.
"Your Highness i agree with Feng Xin , what you are thinking is not the solution , this is not right." Mu Qing added.
"I know what I am saying very well , help me out guys one last time." Xie Lian pleaded with tears in his eyes.
Mu Qing and Feng Xin couldn't help but agree to Xie Lian.

" Why isn't gege back by now ? i should go and check , those heaven bastards need to get their asses beat." Hua Cheng said in a cold tone.
"Crimson rain."
"What the hell are you two pieces of shit doing here?"
"Why am I even wasting my time conversing with you." Hua Cheng said as he walked away nonchalantly , which sent chills down both martial gods spines.
"If you're looking for your highness , he isn't in the heavenly capital." Mu Qing said.
Hua Cheng stopped in his track as he heard Xie Lian wasn't where he expected him to be.
" And how do you know where he is." Hua Cheng said as he gave deathly stares to the two males.
"Because he sent us , to call you to visit him." Mu Qing replied.
"And why would gege take the help of you incompetents." Hua Cheng said as he gently folded his arms.
"Did he contact you through the spiritual communication array?" Feng Xin asked.
Hua Cheng remained still for a moment.
"And why do i need your help to find gege?"
"We aren't helping you neither we have any intension of doing so , we are just doing what Your Highness asked of us." Mu Qing replied in a cold tone.
Hua Cheng definitely didn't have even a tinge of empathy for the two martial gods , but if it's for his gege , he would cooperate even with them.
"Let's go."
As the three males reached the palace of the martial god of the west. Hua Cheng couldn't help but scowl thinking about how unusual it was for Xie Lian to not contact him yet alone he couldn't comprehend what he was doing in Feng Xin's palace.
As they walked towards the boudoir , Feng Xin broke the silence ,
"We'll be taking our leave now."
"San Lang." a voice came behind the entrance of the boudoir.
Hua Cheng instantly knew it was Xie Lian , so he rushed in.
"Gege , why are you staying in this incompetent's place." Hua Cheng inquired to Xie Lian who stood with his back facing his husband.
As Hua Cheng slowly approached Xie Lian to embrace him.
"Hua Cheng maintain your distance." Xie Lian said in a heart piercing tone.

As soon as Hua Cheng heard his husband call him, "Hua Cheng" , he felt as if his heart was pierced with a thousand swords at once.
"W-what is Gege saying? gege has never used this honorific before."
"Crimson Rain sought flower , i prefer you address me as Crown Prince, someone like you who is one of the four calamities should know his place , this is the heavenly realm ." Xie Lian spoke as his words continued to shatter Hua Cheng.
Hua Cheng remained speechless , no words could come out of his mouth , he couldn't comprehend why his gege was saying such stuff to him.

"What is Gege saying? tolerating me ?" Hua Cheng replied in an anxious tone.

Xie Lian said in a chilling tone.
Hua Cheng couldn't believe it , he could never , he knew everything about Xie Lian , there is no way Xie Lian would ever act like this , in those last 800 years Hua Cheng saw his everything , his beauty , his pain , his grief , his happiness , his everything . Hua Cheng would never believe what he heard .
Hua Cheng rushed to Xie Lian , and made him look him in his eyes , he knew even if Xie Lian's words could lie , he would see the truth in his eyes , he would see the love in his eyes.
As Xie Lian turned his gaze towards Hua Cheng , his eyes were empty , the shine , the love , was all gone , all that remained was an endless void. Hua Cheng's eyes widened , Hua Cheng feared nothing but what scared him now beyond death was Xie Lian's eyes , his eyes weren't lying.
Hua Cheng pleaded, "Gege , i know your everything and i know your lying , my gege would never ever say something like this."
"Do i look like I am lying ? "
Hua Cheng had an unexplainable rise of emotions , he was panicking inside , he began to doubt himself , he broke into a cold sweat , although his devotion still remaining unwavering.
"Gege , I don't believe a single word you are saying , and i won't ever , I am forever your most devoted believer and I always will be , i will always be by your side , even if hell rains down on us , I won't ever leave your side , you are the one who gave meaning to my life , you saved me. "
"Hah, you have got some audacity crimson rain , you seriously believed what I said back then , it was merely something to console a crying child , I had no intension of saving you." Xie Lian said as he broke away from Hua Cheng's grip.
Hua Cheng grabbed Xie Lian's wrist again and tightened his grip , " Gege , i have no intension of believing you, I don't care if you didn't say it to save me , but nevertheless you saved me , gege you are my eternity . "
Xie Lian's eyes widened slightly but instantly reverted back.
" Crimson rain , i suggest you leave right this instant." Xie Lian said as he raised his pitch.
"Gege , i won't , I won't ever leave your side , i won't dare to." Hua Cheng said as he tightened his grip .
"CRIMSON RAIN , IF YOU TRULY LOVE ME THEN YOU WILL LEAVE RIGHT THIS INSTANT." Xie Lian shouted.
Hua Cheng's eyes widened on hearing the cold words that were spoken by the other male , he loved Xie Lian and he would do anything to prove it , but he just won't be able to do this.
"Hesitating are you ? so much for devotion, you are my most devoted believer aren't you ?so won't you abide me ?" Xie Lian said as a cold smirk appeared on his face.
Hua Cheng was speechless , he couldn't figure out what to do , but if he had to prove his devotion to Xie Lian , he would go to any lengths.
Hua Cheng slowly loosened his grip and slowly backed away , returning back to the entrance of the boudoir.
Both the martial gods were waiting right in front of the entrance , as they both heard footsteps coming their way they knew it was Hua Cheng , as Hua Cheng made his way away from the martial gods , the martial gods were shocked at seeing tears falling from the heartless Ghost King , they couldn't believe what their eyes were seeing.
As Hua Cheng turned his back on Xie Lian , Xie Lian broke into tears , these moments were the darkest of hours for Xie Lian .
"Forgive me San Lang." as Xie Lian said that he instantly collapsed on the floor reverting back to his pale self looking even weaker than before , it seemed he had used the very last reserves of his spiritual energy to deceive Hua Cheng to the very end.
"YOUR HIGHNESS!!!!!" both the martial gods screamed.
