After that cheesy shit show… as pleasant as it was I’ll admit, we all went back to hating each other, and mutually enjoying a dance party while doing so. The night was young, drinks had been drunk and we were just messing around a lot of the time. I nearly choked on my pop when I saw Hawk’s face after seeing Moon kiss her girlfriend. As ditzy as Moon was, they were a cute couple. We were currently cuddling on the couch I was messing with his hair cause, I have rights
“Why do you like touching my hair so much?” He chuckled
“I dunno,” I shrugged “I just like it. It suits you, it really does”
“Oh well, I take that as the highest compliment in the world” He smiled, leaning down and pulling me into a kiss
“Remind me to never third wheel you two for real” Mitch mumbled
“Then get lost” Hawk scoffed
“Hey” I sighed “Dude you don’t have to”
“Nah it’s okay” he shook his head standing up “I’m thirsty anyway”
“You don’t have to be like that to people” I shifted on Hawk’s lap “People will like you if you’re nice”
“I am nice” Hawk rolled his eyes with a grin
“I’m just saying” I sighed, snuggling into him “I was inside your walls before you ever got the chance to put them up” I started to mess with his hair again
“Yeah well, you and only you” He mumbled
I giggled, leaning up and kissing his neck again. He smiled looking down at me. I grabbed the scruff of his shirt in my good hand, pulling down towards me
“Better be” I spoke lowly
“Yes ma’am” he grinned
I sat up a bit, still staying in his lap, just more to the side when someone came and sat down. I looked over, giving Demetri a soft smile before the storm hit.
“You check out the new Doctor Who trailer?” Demetri spoke up first
“I don’t watch nerd shit” Hawk grumbled, taking a sip of his drink
I rolled my eyes reaching for a drink but Hawk smacked my hand away, making me groan, but also thankful
“Oh yeah, cool” Dem nodded “Ya know uh… Moffat isn’t the showrunner anymore” Demetri told us
“Wait really?” We chorused
“Since when?” Hawk added “Is there a new doctor?” Eli was getting a bit excited, and I was glad. Demetri nodded “What’s he like?” Hawk smiled
“Oh...” Dem scoffed “She’s badass”
“She?” I questioned.
“No way” Hawk smiled
“Finally” I sighed “There’s been so many, it’s about time” I nodded
We heard people giggling from across the room. It was just Moon and her girlfriend. I knew I didn’t have to worry about anything with them, but, of course the loud mouth just had to comment
“Must be an interesting sight to see” Demetri chuckled “She’s definitely moved on”
“Defeat does not exist” Hawk muttered “I… forfeited”
“There’s that winning attitude that pushed her away in the first place” Dem remarked sarcastically “I think you need a healthy dose of, inner peace. It’s worked for me” Dem tired to be helpful, but he still just can’t help running his mouth “You’ve got Harley now, be at peace with that”
“Oh yeah?” Hawk stood up, holding an arm around my waist so I wouldn’t stumble over, as he dumped the rest of his drink on Demetri, I quickly slapped the cup out of his hands “I am at peace, pussy”
“Eli apologize” I ordered
“Hell no” he scoffed “And what’d I say about...” he trailed off, remembering he had said I could call him Eli safely “Whatever” he muttered, throwing the red solo cup at Demetri and storming off.
I sighed, turning to the wet boy with a sorry look.
“No no, don’t apologise” Dem waved off “I don’t blame the bystander” he sighed
I felt bad for him. Honestly, Hawk had just been in a worse and worse mood. I was thinking of getting him checked for I.E.D too. I cracked my neck for, some reason, taking my shirt off and handing it to Demetri.
“It’s a guys shirt” I shrugged “Get out of that wet shit”
He gave me a kind nod before taking my shirt and going to find a bathroom.

I sat back down on the couch for most of the night, not seeing Hawk anywhere. I wrapped my arm around my stomach, hunched over suddenly coming to terms with the fact that I had no shirt on.
“Hey, what the hell happened to your shirt?” Miguel asked, coming over to me and sitting down
“Ah, my wonderful boyfriend spilt his drink all over Demetri, so I gave him my shirt” I sighed, curling in on myself more
“You look… I’m just gonna say it-”
“What fat?” I cut him off
“Uh-.... No? I was just gonna say you look uncomfortable” Miguel corrected, tugging at his sweater “Here, I know you don’t really like to show off your body” he handed it to me
“Thanks” I smiled gratefully, pulling it over my head
“Hey babe- what’s going on?” Hawk walked over, seeing the two of us
“Harley was feeling uncomfortable so I gave her my sweater man, that’s all I promise” Miguel held his hands up in surrender, standing up “You two have fun” he winked
I chuckled, rolling my eyes and shaking my head. Hawk sat down beside me with a guilty look on his face.
“I assume you gave Demetri your shirt?”
“Yup” I popped the P at the end
“Mm….” he nodded “You really are the sweetest person I know”
I scoffed with a fond smile, I couldn’t help it. I ‘reluctantly’ leaned into Hawk, who wrapped his arms around me.
“You’re a jerk” I laughed
“Your the jerk” he corrected lifting me up off the couch “Come on, it’s a party for a reason”
We all found the gang and instantly started chatting it up with them in a huge clump.
“Excuse me” a voice came over the music. Everyone turned in their spots to see… Demetri on the stage? What the fuck “I’d like to make a toast” he continued. I smiled softly, what on earth is he doing “To Eli Moskowitz!” My face fell… uh oh, that’s not good “Oh! I’m sorry, some of you might know him as, Hawk. But underneath that crazy clown cosplay and whatever type of Manic Panic he dumps in his hair, he’s still good old Eli. My binary brother” he muttered
I moved out of Hawk’s arms, rushing over to the stage. Why does everyone I know have to be so petty?
“Demetri what are you doing?” I muttered
“Payback” Demetri said out of the mic before he continued “Well, he was my binary brother. You know what he is now? A real, zero”
Math puns. The crowd ooo’d, and I knew it was getting under Eli’s skin. I moved back over to him, holding his hand to try and keep him calm.
“Alright that’s enough Dementri” I called out
“Don’t let that angry red hairdo fool you. He’s a big softie, right Harley? The three of us watched every Harry Potter movie together, and poor little Hawk bawled like a baby when Dobby died” Everyone started laughing and I was starting to get annoyed myself. He imitated crying, making it all the worse
“Alright if he doesn’t shut up, I’m gonna shut him up” Hawk muttered
“How well did that end last time huh?” I looked over at him, keeping a grip on his hand
“Remember what sensei said about showing mercy” Mitch reminded
More people started laughing. This was really not good. Hawk made a jump towards the stage, and I wrapped an arm around his middle to keep him in place.
“Just let it go” I mumbled
“In the words of Eli’s hero, Steve Jobs ‘I’ve got one more thing’. Have any of you ever heard of’ sleep enuresis?”
“Oh you gotta be shittin me” I sighed
“Don’t” Hawk actually looked nervous
“Demetri stop it” I spoke louder than him “Alright? That’s enough! He’s had it”
“That is the medical term of course. In the king's English, it’s good old fashioned bed wetting. And Eli here, is a pro” Demetri had taken it too far “My mom even had a special air mattress for sleepovers, and she called it, Eli’s waterbed”
Everyone stared at Hawk and laughed. He had fumes coming from everywhere they could come from.
“Screw mercy” He handed Mitch his drink “You’re a corpse!” Hawk roared, taking steps towards Demetri
“No- Hawk, stop it!” I got around him, shoving him back
“You’re gonna have to go through me” Chris got in Hawk’s way behind me
“Stay out of it traitor” Mitch spat
“Hey, don’t touch him” Robby but in
“Where did you even come from!?” I exclaimed
“Or what?” Aisha scoffed
“Guys that’s enough” I stood in between the two groups
“Stop” Moon came out of nowhere too “We’re friends”
“Oh I smell a rumble” Chub shouted
“You gonna be shittin me” I sighed
Everyone in the crowd suddenly got interested now that they realized there was going to be entertainment. Stupid fucking teenagers. Suddenly police sirens came from outside, red and blue lights started flashing through the windows.
“Cops!” someone shouted
Suddenly everyone took off in different directions, all scattering for the exits.
“Demetri!” Hawk called out “You got lucky. I’ll see you in school!”
“No! Stop it!” I shouted, shoving him back
We heard people banging on the front door. We all ran, who knows who ran where. I lost Hawk in the sea of kids, getting caught in the crowd and suddenly I was on the ground. Kicks ran past me and overtop of me, stepping on me, and some of their feet kicked me as I ran by. I tried to shout for help but everyone was being too loud.
“Harley!” a voice shouted, pulling me to my feet “Shit are you okay?”
I was so disoriented I could barely figure out who it was. It felt like when I was trying to stay conscious at the dojo. The person holding me had their arm around me as we ran through the house. I tripped over lots of things, until we made it to.
“Sam” I breathed, getting a flash of clarity before everything went blurry again
“There you are, I've been looking for you. We gotta go” I recognized Robby’s voice
“What’s wrong with Harley?”
“She got trampled and I think she’s dehydrated and malnourished, but I got her, it’s okay we just need to leave”
“I’m so sorry Robby” Sam mumbled
“It’s okay, we just gotta get you home” Robby assured
“No- no no my parents are gonna freak out if they see me like this” Sam shook her head
She was probably drunk, that made the most sense right?
“Just- come back to my- my-...” I trailed off, my head was killing me
“Okay- you both just- come on” Robby sighed.
