The sound of laughing could be heard echoing around the Gray estate as the whole family was there.
Ezmie had convinced the family to have a day without any work and just be together, they all thought it was a lovely idea.
They didn't know the true intentions behind it though
The sun was out and it was a lovely day in London which was strange for British weather but they enjoyed their day.
Nicholas and his brothers were standing by the barbecue preparing, while their wives sat around the pool watching their children.
Nora and Micheal sat viewing the family they have created, smiles permanently engraved on their faces.
Soon to be gone
The older children were joining in with the younger ones forgetting that they were in the mafia and having fun.
Ezmie was laughing and joking, she had put aside the real reason this was happening and had fun.

"What about a chicken fight" Hudson smirked
"Yes, what teams" Lucas asked energetically
"Count us out on this one" Alex spoke with Kayden, Noah, Oliver and Logan agreeing.
"Your not going to do work are you" Ezmie pouted
"No princess were going to get drinks plus it would be unfair if we played" Noah replied
"I call dips on Ez" Cohan shouted
"Cohan she's a person not an object" Harvey laughed
"Okay" he replied holding his hands up in mock surrender
"Ezmie, who do you want to be with" Asher asked his cousin
"I'll go with Cohan" she giggled replying
"Okay Ezmie and Cohan versus Carter and Cassius" Kyson announced
Ezmie climbed onto Cohan shoulders with Carter doing the same to Cassius.
The whole family were watching at this point as everyone knew the children got very competitive.
Screams and shouts of encouragement could be heard as they started, Ezmie having the advantage being the only girl.
Carter tried pushing Ezmie down but he couldn't as Cohan was holding on to her with a firm grip.
Cassius and Cohan were staring at each other trying anything to make the other back down.
It was working as Cassius burst into laughter causing his grip on Carter to loosen allowing Ezmie to knock him down.
Cohan allowed Ezmie off his shoulder and immediately pushed her into the pool, she came up gasping for air before splashing him which went on for a while.

"Kids! Food" Matthew yelled at his sons, niece and nephews
The sound of shouting could be heard as the herd came running in pushing and shoving each other.
"Animals the lot of you" Nora chimed shaking her head in amusement
Scarlet, Naomi and Aubrey all watched as their children had huge smiles on their faces.
The smell of the barbecue wafted around the house making them hungry and sat down immediately.
Nicholas had sent the staff home for the day meaning they were alone and spending time as a family.
Everyone dug in the minute Matthew and Christopher placed the food in front of them.
"Thank you" Ezmie smiled at her uncle as he placed her food
"Your welcome princess" Christopher smiles down
"Yeah thanks" the boys all spoke with food in the their mouth
"Animals the lot of you" Nora spoke looking at her grandsons
"Nana you said that before" Ezra spoke with food in his mouth causing everyone to laugh
"Point proven" Christopher laughed at his son

The Gray family spent the rest of the day hanging by the pool and playing games, laughter was never not being heard.
The family didn't however know what was going to happen and why Ezmie was so persistent on having a family day.
It all went down hill from here.

*a few days later but before they leave*
Ezmie knew saying goodbye to her family without actually saying goodbye would be hard.
However she forgot she would also be leaving her friends behind, when she leaves this was until Luke reminded her.
A few days ago their friends met Chloe and Reece who they got along with great almost like they've been friends for years.
Lexi and Luke knew this would be hard on Ezmie as they were friends longer but that didn't mean it wasn't going to be tough on them as well.

The friends were currently at a mini golf place having a day out, to the rest of the group it was a normal day out.
The other knew differently but acted none the wiser after all they would be coming back eventually anyway.
They just didn't know when
Everyone was in their normal pairs, it was almost like everyone was dating except the ones who hadn't made it official.
Ezmie and Luke went first this time as they had both been mini golfing before on a date.
Even being new to the group Chloe and Reece could sense the sexual and intimate tension between the two.
"Are you sure they aren't together" Chloe whispered to Lexi as Luke guided Ezmie with the golf club
"Nope, but believe me it's torture watching them be together, he may be my brother but he needs to grow some balls and ask her out before I do" Lexi joked back
"Trust me your not the only one that would go for her, if I was single I would totally go for her" Chloe mused looking at Ezmie
"Wait your bisexual" Ansley popped into the conversation
"No, I'm unlabelled I don't see the point in having a label to say who I do and don't like" Chloe shrugged
"What are you pronouns then" Mackaiya asked leaning her head on Lexi's shoulder
"I go by she/they and Reece goes by he/him and is straight" she shrugged
Ezmie and Luke realised their friends were talking and none of them were watching them.
"What do you think their talking about" she asked nodding her head to her friends
Luke had wrapped his arms around her waist which was normal for them so she didn't bother moving.
"My guess would be food" he laughed
Ezmie started to develop feelings for Luke since they got kidnapped while Luke kind of feelings for her before that.
Their friends carried on talking not realising they were done.
"Emmie, you know I like you don't you" Luke spoke suddenly looking down at her
"And I like you to Luke" she smiled up wards
"No Em, I really like you" he admitted
"So do I Luke, I was waiting for you to do something about it" she giggled
His eyes brows shot up in surprise, he gently brought his hand to her chin making her look up at him.
"Can I" he whispered to which she nodded
"Words Em" he asked
"Yes" she replied
Gently, he brought his lips to hers. It was slow and gentle. Neither of them backing away until they ran out of breath.
Both of them smiled at each other before releasing their friends were staring at them wide eyed.
"Fina-fucking-ly" Lexi gushed excepted
Ezmie went bright red but didn't say anything while Luke just chuckled and shook his head.

Neither of them spoke about the kiss and what it meant for them but they couldn't stop thinking about it.
Currently they were sat in a restaurant that was owned by Ezmie's brother meaning they were sat in VIP.
"Damn Ez your family rich rich" Ansley laughed
"Yeah something like that" she replied awkwardly
The conversation flowed nicely with the group they never had an awkward silence it was always comfortable.
The food was delivered as they spoke about anything that popped into their head.
Ezmie, Luke, Lexi, Chloe and Reece all knew this would be the last time they saw their friends but the others where none the wiser.
At least they had fun on their last day with them.
"So we'll see you in school tomorrow" Jude smiled looking at their friends
"Yeah, see you tomorrow" Lexi replied
They felt awful but it had to be done.
