E Z M I E
Halloween has always been my favourite time of year, you can pretend to be someone you aren't for the night.
As I was growing up I never got to trick or treat but I loved seeing everyone else in their outfits and the happiness that bounced around the neighbourhood.
Our house was decorated with Halloween decor, spider webs and bats littered the bannister of the stairs as I walked down.
The ambiance of the house felt different today, everyone felt relaxed and comforted.
Like a mentally unstable man wasn't after our family.
Everyone had their own plans today, Alex and Kayden were doing mafia work as usual, Cohan and the twins were going to a Halloween party.
And me, well I was going to a haunted house with my friends.

The cold air whipped around us as we walked closer to the house, the sounds of screaming could be heard.
Everyone was dressed up, Ansley and Mason dressed up as Mortica and Gomez from the Addams family. Jude and Kai were dressed up as a warden and prisoner. While Mackaiya and Lexi were dressed as clowns.
Luke and I however we were dressed as murders from the purge which was fitting for what we had to do afterwards.
The screams echoed around the house as we walked in, my friends started to get scared but Luke, Lexi and I laughed.
Someone jumped out as soon as we walked in, I didn't react but the rest of them screamed.
Like my victims when I kill them
The house was massive and full of different rooms, that varied from what they had in.
We walked around being scared constantly even I let out a few screams which resulted in Luke laughing like he weren't doing the same thing.
Our eyes winded as we walked into one of the last rooms, it was a replica of the cell we stayed in when we were kidnapped.
I couldn't help it and burst out laughing with Luke soon doing the same, it was the irony of the situation.
"Em, it looks the same" he spluttered out between laughs
At this point our friends had walked to another room leaving us in our fit of laughs.
"I know" I retorted quoting Monica from friends
Our laughing filled the room that we didn't hear other foot steps enter the room, I was grabbed but didn't react.
I glanced around and notice Luke had been grabbed as well but the same as me he also didn't react.
It was part of the experience
Luke motioned for me to let my self out of the strangers hold while he did the same, I didn't even notice the lights flickering.
In front of us were 2 people, a boy and girl who looked the same age as us.
"Sorry but we had to do that" the boy laughed with the girl agreeing
"You work here" Luke asked nodding around to his surroundings
"Fuck no, we just saw you laughing and thought we would scare you but it didn't work" the girl answered
"Yeah we don't scare easy" I say for the both us
"Gathered, I'm Reece and this is Chloe my girlfriend" the now named boy introduced
Reece was very tall, shorter than Luke but still tall none the less. He had black hair with blue/brown eyes.
Chloe was about the same height as me and had dyed blue hair she looked good, her eyes were a beautiful green colour.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Luke and this is Ezmie" Luke introduced the both of us
We spoke to Reece and Chloe for a while before we realised we had a mission to do and we still needed to say goodbye to our friends.

The ground crunched underneath us and we walked further into the woods, our Halloween costumes still on as we decided against our usual outfits.
The moon was our only light as we walked closer to the abandoned house, no sign of life could be saw.
I stopped abruptly as I heard the snapping of twigs in the distant, grabbing onto Luke i signalled for him to stop which he did.
"What" he mouthed
"We're not alone" I whispered back
"It's probably a bear or something" he shrugged whispering
He says like that's normal for England
I sighed softly before following him, the door open with a creek as I scanned my surroundings.
Mess was sprawled everywhere, bongs and used needles lay on the floor as did broken bottles of alcohol.
Sounds could be heard from the basement, I slowly took out my gun ensuring the silencer was on as I softly opened the old wooden door.
Luke was playing with the deck of cards a smug smile on his face as we walked closer, the chase was always the best.
I hummed a song as we reached the basement, red lights were survived everywhere and a women in her forties layer half naked on the couch.
"Deeliya Rice" I mused walking closer
Silence was what I was retuned with as I stopped in front of her, slowly she fluttered her eyes open.
She was zonked
"Who are you" she groaned
My mask covered my smirk as Luke walked over the cards still in his hands.
"We should play a game" he smirked knowingly
"How about a bet" I clapped happily
"What for" she rose an eyebrow up questionably
"Nothing just a friendly game" Luke answers straight away
"We win you die, you win you live" i taunted
"Do we have a deal Deeliya" he asked
She nodded not really understanding what we had said, she was going to be dead in a few minutes anyway.
Luke started as always, his mouth was talking but she was focused on his hands and the way the flicked through the cards.
I mean he had nice hands
"What card do you have" she asked interested
"How about the ace of spades" I laughed manically
Her eyes winded realising who we were but before she could say anything the door to the basement opened, I wasted no time and shot 4 rounds into her.
I pulled Luke into the hidden corner as the voices got louder coming down the stairs.
"I told you someone was here" the voice rang out
The familiar voice
"But we were suppose to kill her" the other argued
Another familiar voice
"Shit the devil twins did it" they said again
I looked at Luke who was already looking at me a silent conversation with our eyes until he pushed me out.
"You bastard" I shouted forgetting the people in the room
"Shit" I whispered looking around
They stood wide eyed at us as Luke finally came out the hiding space, our mask were still hiding our faces but they knew from the haunted house.
"Luke and Ezmie, well I never" Reece laughed
"Reece and Chloe, what are you doing here" Luke questioned
"N-nothing" Chloe stuttered
"Now now baby, we shouldn't lie to the devil twins should we sweetheart" Reece spoke looking at her
"So you know" I mused slowly getting my gun out
"I wouldn't do that darling" Chloe smirked pulling her gun out
"HEY STOP" Luke and Reece shouted
Reluctantly I placed my gun back and Chloe did the same, we both looked at each other not saying anything.
"Why are you here" I finally quizzed
"Well there's no point hiding it, we were suppose to kill her" Chloe answers pointing at the dead body
"Who are you" Luke asked
"We work for a gang, she owed our boss money hence us killing her but you beat us to it" Reece answered
"Now, the famous devil twins" Rece chuckled
"I knew there was something about you both" Chloe laughed
"We won't tell if you don't" I winked
"Wouldn't have it any other way" Chloe winked back pulling me into a hug
"Fucking girls man" Reece whispered
I scoffed
"Ugh rude" we both muttered

With Reece and Chloe knowing our secret we decided to become friends, turns out they were moving to our school on Monday as well as they have a mission to do.
This was going to be fun, we pretty much had friends that we could murder with.
Life was about to become a lot more interesting.
