"Half Elder..." My world stop moving while I gape at the old man in front of me with an open mouth, when I heard those words.
Everything doesn't make sense, anymore. "How? What?! That's impossible!" I thunder, while I suddenly stand up and face them defiantly.
Elder Rook, just shake his head and sigh tiredly. "I don't want to believe it too." He exclaimed.
"Then, why are implying that he is an Elder? Or a werewolf on that matter?! That's impossible! If he is indeed a werewolf, then I should have known that since the first time that we met!"
I'm on the verge of punching the old man as I ball my fist on my sides, as I glared at their group who have calm faces, while looking at me.
"I see..it might be possible if he is indeed an elder.." My head whip on my side and look at my mother with bewildered look. Not truly believing that she just said that.
"Mom, what are you saying?" I stammer and step back, while my body begins to tremble. "What do you mean?!"
Mom look at me, with an exhausted face. Then after a while she puff a mouthful of air and lean back on the couch.
"Being an elder, doesn't mean you have to be a werewolf. Sometimes, they live as a normal human until a sudden event force their Elder Blood to took hold of their body. Awakening their werewolf side, especially the Elder Powers that they have. And for Masha it probably took place when he suddenly died a while ago, because his human body can not hold the changes in being pregnant with your children.."
I blink my eyes, and blink it again. I open my mouth to speak but I don't know why but the words can't came out, while my mind seems to turn blank.
I wobble on my feet and lowly sat back down. I brought my trembling hands and brush my hair, "Impossible..." I murmur.
But then my mind, came into realization when I remembered my Mom's words. "How did you know that, mom?"
Her expression turn sour, while the old men become stiff in their sits. "Wait, wait a minute.. Is there something you're not telling me??"
An uncomfortable silence envelope the whole room, while doubts and suspicion bloom inside my chest. And I am starting to believe that something is really going on with all of them.. Seeing my mother begins to fidget nervously on her sit while the Elders look at her, as if they're asking permission from her.
I lift my brows and cross my arms in front of my chest with an annoyed look. "Are you gonna tell me what's really going on, or we just going to wait here till Christmas??!"
"Ugh, okay..okay.." Mom sighed defeatedly, and look directly in my eyes. "Sit down and listen carefully, Louis. Because I'm only going to explain it once. And even though it might change your opinion about our family, I still want you to believe us. And have faith us, especially to your father. Because we just want what's best for you.."
I quirk my brows, while I grew more confused than ever. "..okay?"
"Well son, our family.. The Lexus Family were a descendants of the First Werewolf that came into existence. Giving us the--"
"Wait, wait.. Mom, please stop for a minute okay?" I suddenly stood up and cut her off from talking. Making her glare at me, but I just shrugged it off. Although, I know that I'm going to get a punishment from her later. "Don't tell me, the one you wanted to tell me about is the fact that Elders are actually came from our family?"
She scrunched her nose, and look at me with questioning eyes. "How the hell did you know that?!"
"Umm, because Dad told me??"
Her expression unexpectedly turn to shocked, while she suddenly stood up and run over me. "What do you mean? When did he said to you?"
I gulp nervously, while I removed my eyes on her and look all over the place. Beads of sweat starts to roll down my back, even on my temple as it trickle down my chin. While I felt her gaze burn a hole on my face.
"Well, Louis?" The sweet tint on her voice make my insides shudder, while dread slowly filled me. Oh my...
"Umm, mom... How about you tell me first why Masha can be possibly an elder??" I slowly asked.
"No! You'll answer me first!" I flinch, when she scream loudly and look at me angrily. Looking behind her, towards the old men who is sitting comfortably on the couch. I look at them with a pleading look, asking for their help but my heart drop on the floor when I saw them move their head away from my eyes.
Fucking bastards...
"So?" I look back at my mom, and saw her impatiently tapping her foot on the floor with an irritated look, while her arms are crossed on her chest.
"Umm..well he told me..when..umm" I stutter out, uncomfortably.
"Hurry up!"
My left brow twitch with annoyance when I saw Josh look at me mockingly. Lucky asshole...
"Well, Dad told me before he left.." I said, but cringe when mom screeched angrily.
"What, you know that he didn't died?!"
"Pretty much.." I murmur softly, while I look at her guiltily.
"That stupid bastard!" Okay, I never thought that I will hear my mother curse my dad like that. She even said it in different languages as she pace back in forth in front of me.
"Okay, what else do you know? And don't you dare lie to me boy because I'm going to be really angry with you, darling. And you know me, I can turn your life into hell if I wanted to..."
I almost piss on my pants with the words left from her mouth. Honestly she's so damn scary. And not the typical scary.. She's like the devil in disguise.
Gulping nervously, I look directly on her eyes. Ugh, sorry dad..but mom wins..
"Well, he left 10 years ago because he said that his Elder Blood awakened on the night that the rogue attacked us. And even though I'm still young that time he doesn't have a choice but to leave because he never wanted to be a part of the Elder Council...passing to me the position of the new Alpha of the pack in the process.."
"What? We don't know about that?!" Elder Rook's voice rang all over the room when he yelled so loud and stood up to walk towards us. "Where is he right now?! A member of the Family Lexus that awakened with their Elder Blood is needed by the Council. He can't just leave and not tell us!"
"Shut up, you old man! I'm the one asking my stupid son, so shut your trap and fuck off!"
Uh huh..its getting bad..
"Then where the fuck is your father now huh, Louis?!"
I flinch when her eyes snap towards me, with a heated glare.
"Umm, he's in hiding I guess.." I squeak. Suddenly a stinging pain bloom on my left cheek. "Mom.."
"Tell me now, or you want to be slap again!"
"Eh, that's child abuse!"
"Child abuse? To you? Don't make me laugh Louis, your too old for that.."
"Ugh, okay..okay.. Dad is in Russia. He is living there right now, and he's actually Masha's boss.."
My eyes grew big when I saw a soft smile form on her lips while a dangerous glint swirl in her eyes.
Oh, shit!
"Well then gentlemen, I'm going to take my leave now because I have some calls to make.." Mother said sweetly while she stood up and walk towards the door but before she can even open it. The door is suddenly thrown open revealing Toni's frantic face.
"Josh.. Louis.." He stutter with a scared voice. Josh is quick on his feet as he suddenly run over his mate and scoop him on his arms.
"What's wrong baby?" Josh asked, while he rub his mate's back soothing him.
"A lot of pack's group are coming, brother.." Darrel suddenly appear with a grim look as he, Jess and Kia walk inside the room.
"So they already make their move.." Elder Rook exclaimed while he and the other Elders stand up and came near us. "What's your plan now Louis?"
I whip my head at them and look directly on their eyes. Determination fueled my blood while my wolf growl menacingly inside me. It seems even him, knows what I'm about to do.
"Do you have to ask." I smirk cockily.
Elder Rook, to my own surprise smile wickedly. "Then we don't have a choice but to protect you too. We're part of this pack after all.."
I grin at him, and start walking over the door. "Be my guest.."
But when I'm about to step out of a door a familiar sweet voice suddenly stop me from moving. My mind starts swirling, while a wave of emotions assaulted my senses. I grew weak on my knees and I almost fall on the floor when I hastily turn my body and look behind me.
"Louis..." I can't believe it. My mate is there, already awake looking at me with a cute frown on his face.
"Masha..."
