Right hooking a marine that came too close to Nami for Faythe's liking, he was sent flying off they're ship. More of them came pouring in as they had set a wooden plank down to board the Going Merry. Faythe cursed to herself as she kicked a man in the groin and sent a smirk they're way. The marine himself fell down on his knees, cradling his jewels in sheer pain. Placing her foot on his shoulder and Faythe met eye contact with him. Next thing he knew, he was kicked in the face by a boot in the jaw. Faythe flipped some of her locks out of her face, then running back into battle.
Sanji had taken control of the plank of wood, and sending people pummeling into the sea. Luffy was shooting his stretched out foot at random marines on multiple ships as they chased after the crew. Zoro was gladly going around a severing all the marines with swords, jumping on the rails and shoulders of people. Chopper was trying to repair as much as he could, with Usopp by his side hammering down nails or screws. Nami was running around trying to stick next to Faythe, as the red head pummeled multiple men.
"WHAT'RE YOU ALL DOING!? OUR ENEMY'S ONLY ONE SHIP!" One of the Marine Captains shouted out in upmost exasperation.
"But ensign! They're too strong!" As soon as that was said, one of the chasing marine ships exploded with a couple of hollers.
"The cannons won't work either!" Another shouted.
"GET OUTTA OUR WAY!" Luffy shout was loud as ever.

Sitting on the railings, Faythe leaned back on one of board that looped up to the second floor. She was already trying to write up the whole race against time thing and the horrendous sight of the frog lady and that British lookin ass man. She snickered to herself as she thought of that.
Scrawling down the wording, she had trouble thinking of a description of the light that went off with the bomb. She cocked her head a bit as she went into thinking. Nami was leaning beside her, reading over her shoulder.
Nami read up to where Faythe was currently writing, "How about instead of the 'bright blue flash bang' you write 'the serene blinding light that shattered across the sky'? Would that sound more better or too detailed?"
Faythe smiled up at the girl, "I like that better, sounds more... Uh what's the word... Captivating!" She snapped her fingers as the word came to mind.
Nami grinned as her wording was placed into the book, "How much do you think your books would sell?"
"Depends if people would read a tale about some rookie pirates and their crazy adventures." Faythe snorted.
Nami sighed, "Ya, even if they are curious it'll be hard to even sponsor it."
"Oh! Don't worry about sponsoring, I got that covered." Faythe winked at her.
"Huh..? What do you mean by 'I got that covered'?" Nami raised a brow.
"Well, funny thing is-"
"I went, on a little adventure."
The whole crew went silent as they heard Vivi's voice. They all stared back at the Eastern Port. The voice seemed to be coming from speakers that were stationed everywhere across the city or town.
"It was a trip in search for despair across the dark gloomy seas... Having left my home country, the sea I then saw before me was vast.... It was hard t believe just ow many strong islands there were out there."
Luffy was jumping around excitedly, "THAT'S VIVI! I HEAR HER! But.. where is she?"
Nobody answered, they were all staring back at the port, listening intently.
"Plants and animals I had never seen... Sights I'd never imagined in even my dreams. The music of the waves, were quiet at times, gently washing away my trifling concerns."
Faythe closed her eyes, imagining the description that Vivi gave in her speech.
"At other times, they were fierce, laughing to tear apart my timid feelings... And in the midst of a dark storm, I cam across a single small ship. The ship pressed me onwards from behind and said, 'Can't you see that light'?"
Flipping through the pages, Faythe started writing down the speech.
"The mysterious little ship that never lost it's way in the darkness, crossed over monstrous waves as if dancing. Never defying the sea, and yet the ship's bow always heading straight ahead... Even through headwinds. And then it points a finger out."
Faythe smiled down at the speech that seemed to flow right onto the papers.
"Look. The light is right there.... History may call this a myth, but to me it is the truth."
With that the speech was cut off, due to something interrupting or whatever. Faythe let out a sigh as she had just finished writing down the long ass speech. She gazed over the crew to see their reactions.
Luffy and Chopper were leaning over the rails slumped, with frowns plastered on their faces.
"Vivi..." Chopper muttered worriedly.
Zoro stuffed his hands in his robe's pockets, "You heard the speech, didn't you? That was definitely Vivi's voice."
Sanji had just relit a cigarette and dragged one, "It's broadcasted from the coming of age ceremony at Alubarna. It means she decided not to come...!"
Nami was leaning over Faythe's shoulder to squint her eyes at the Port.
"No, it only sounded like her voice!" Luffy denied.
"Let's go. It's past noon..." Faythe waved her hand at Nami to get off her shoulder.
"THERE'S NO WAY SHE WON'T COME! LET'S GET OFF THE SHIP AND LOOK! SHE'LL BE THERE FOR SURE!" Luffy shouted at Faythe with a look of plead. She had this strange thought go through her head for a moment and shrugged it off.
'I wonder... If I decided to leave.. would he be as desperate as he is to Vivi as he would for me..?'
Faythe snorted to herself, as she closed her book and stuck the pen behind her ear.
Usopp came stomping down the stares shouting, "Guys, we've got trouble! The marines are heading this way!"
Zoro's head whipped towards the sniper, "How many ships do they have!?"
"More marines..!? You gotta be kidding me...!!" Faythe dramatically slumped on Zoro's back.
"Ya ya ya, we're all tired, now stop joking around and help let down the sails." Zoro softly smacked the back of Faythe's head.
"Ow... You didn't have to hit my head!" Faythe hissed back then turning towards the mast, "Let's go! Turn starboard!"
Sanji was staring at Luffy form still slumped over the rails, staring dead at the Port, awaiting the form of their friend.
"Give it up, Luffy. Her case is different from the rest of us when we joined." Sanji sighed.
Just as the Going-Merry was sailing away Faythe heard a familiar shout, "EVERYONE!"
Luffy almost slipped when he stomped his foot on the rails excitedly, "VIVI!?"
Usopp's only attention was on, "CARUE!"
Vivi was on the rocky surface that was towering over the sea, waving at the crew along with Carue.
"See! She DID come!" Luffy laughed out.
"Vivi!" Nami cried out in joy.
"TURN THE SHIP AROUND! QUICK!" Usopp smiled happiley.
"VIVI!" Sanji was already gone as hearts were visible on his eyes.
"THE MARINES ARE ALREADY ALMOST HERE!" Chopper shouted out, but was smiling like a fool at the sight of Vivi.
Faythe was about to transform and go help her aboard but she noticed the look on the blunette's face sadden.
She took a deep breathe, "I'VE COME TO SAY GOOD-BYE!"
That statement silence the whole crew except Faythe. Luffy was just confused, "What...!?"
Vivi muttered something to Carue as he took out a snail transponder and allowed her to take the speaker thing.
"I... CAN'T COME WITH YOU! BUT I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING UNTIL NOW!"
Faythe let a sad smile spread on her lips, crossing her arms as she listened.
"I'D LOVE TO GO ON ANOTHER ADVENTURE, BUT I CAN'T....! BECAUSE YOU SEE, I LOVE MY COUNTRY TOO MUCH!"
She let that sink in and then taking another breathe.
"THAT'S WHY I CAN'T COME! I-"
Vivi was now tearing up, until she had tears running down her face. It was as if she was remembering all their special and fun memories together. She tried to wipe them away but they just kept flooding down.
"ALTHOUGH, I'LL REMAIN HERE NOW..."
Faythe was now waiting for her to say what she wanted the most.
"IF WE MEET AGAIN SOMEDAY... WILL YOU CALL ME YOUR FRIEND ONE MORE TIME!?"
Faythe kept her gaze on the princess as soft smile was directed at the girl. She didn't have to look at the crew, because she knew that the rest were also smiling.
"WE'LL ALWA-" Luffy was about to shout back his reply but nami clamped her hand around his mouth to shut him up.
"You can't reply!" Nami warned, "The marines are watching her right now. If they have proof that she has connections with us, she'll be branded a criminal."
"Damit..! Those fucken marines are ruining our goodbye..." Faythe frowned as she eyed the marine ships trying to sail closer.
Zoro crossed his arms beside her, "Might as well cut them down as they get closer."
"Throw me over first before you start leaping." Faythe added.
"Worried you might not get much fun?" He smirked.
"Nope, just worried you might get lost again." Faythe grinned in retaliation.
"OI! I thought we weren't gonna bring that up!" Zoro furrowed his brows annoyed.
"HA!" Faythe choked back a laugh.
After that whole thing, Faythe was dragged to the back of the ship that was facing Vivi and stood in a line with the crew. Holding up her left arm up to the sky.
On each of their arms wore an 'X'.
'From now on, no matter what happens, this mark on our left arm... Will be the mark of our friendship..!'
"LET'S SET SAIL!" Luffy shouted out.
Faythe then glanced back at Vivi and winked. Vivi pulled out the note that was given to her and snorted a bit, and grabbed her speaker.
"To those who are wanting a adventure filled story, along with some crazy trouble happening that'll make you wish you were apart of it. The author Fae, will be releasing a book soon and wishes full support from the people of Alubarna! I fully recommend it!"
With that short announcement, the crew turned to Faythe with different expressions, Nami especially was overjoyed.
"YOU LIL SNEAKY BIRD!" Nami laughed excitedly and pounced her.
Luffy was laughing along with Zoro. Sanji was fawning over how smart Faythe was. Chopper was looking at Faythe in a whole different view now. A good one. While Usopp was just confused as to how she knew she wouldn't come.
"HAVE I TOLD YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!" Nami grabbed hold of Faythe's hands and started twirling around the ship's deck happily.

Vivi was sitting beside Carue as they watched the ship sail off into the distant sea. She was smiling to herself as she read over the note.
'Dear Vivi my lovely blunette,
If your reading this, then you have chosen to stay as your kingdom's oh so precious princess. Not that it's bad, but to me it seems pretty uptight. Not my thing, but your still the ship's greatest worrywart. Don't worry, nobody will ever take your place. You'll always stay as a Straw-Hat in spirit. You won't miss out on anything because you'll be reading the first published book of our tales. Yes, you will receive the first ever published book. Why? Because your my #1 fan, that's why!
Anyways, gosh this sad. We're gonna be depressed for a bit, but we'll get over it in a short time. I'll send you some letters, maybe some souvenirs while we're porting for some supplies. I wonder if there are any snails that take pictures, like have you seen the newspapers, no way is there a person that can draw that realistic... Wait.. A devil fruit? No nevermind, so if you wanna send back some letters just pay that damn seagull to deliver it. I wonder when will the next time we'll see each other. Sorry, I'm getting off topic!

By the time she finished reading, she had fresh tears falling down her face as she had then remembered the time spent with Faythe and all the times she had protected her with her all. A faint smile spread on her face as she thought of the Laughing red head, and her sparkling blue eyes.
"You have this charm that seems to bring people towards you, Faythe. And it seems I was caught in it." Vivi held the letter close to her chest.
"And I just can't seem to let go."
