After making it back to the ruined city, Robin and Faythe both took their times in observing their surroundings and writing down notes about specific sites. Robin would ask for another opinion and Faythe would gladly put her two cents worth in.

On the other hand, when Faythe didn't understand something about a specific stone structure, she would turn to Robin who would happily explain what it's purpose was used for.

"This is strange... Is this really the Golden City...?" Robin muttered out as she took a seat on a staple of stairs.

Faythe let out a huff as she crossed her arms, standing at the foot of the stairs, "Yea I know.. The surface area and the displacements simply do not make sense..."

"It is very unnatural..." Robin leaned into her elbow as she trailed a pencil down on the paper lightly. She then paused in her small motion with a realization, "Unless...!"

Faythe was already looking down at her feet, "It's underneath us..!!" She quickly whipped out her two feathered swords and started cutting up blocks of island cloud, "Mind helping me with this?" She glanced over at Robin who has already crossed her arms.

"Way ahead of you." She winked.

Smiling, Faythe continued to dig down a tunnel right below her. She continued for what felt like an hour as she suddenly felt her sword cut through something empty underneath. Stomping down the rest of the island cloud beneath her, her eyes widened to see a whole other room surrounded by Island Cloud.

"Miss Writer? Is it safe to come down?"

Faythe glanced up through the hole to see the archeologist's head peek over the edge, "Yeah! Come on down!" She beckoned her over either a wave of her hand.

Robin did so without hesitation as she slipped down the tunnel and landed safely right into Faythe's arms, "My, what a knight~"

Faythe chuckled and gently placed her back on her feet, "I'm just making sure you don't overdue yourself because of those bruises and wound on your back."

Robin smiled softly and glanced around, "What a big place... As I thought... There is still more to these ruins."

Faythe nodded in agreement, "These ruins come from the Sea Blue, yet the ground is made of clouds... I knew that was odd..."

"The ruins at the surface are only the tip of the Iceberg! It was only the top part of the city, which means there are other lower levels."

Faythe turned to her right and saw a entrance that leads inside, "Then shall we start our actual exploration...?" She held out her hand towards the woman while her other held the feather sword behind her back.

Robin muffled a giggle and placed a hand in hers, "With pleasure."

Faythe then took the lead as they entered the darkly dimmed entrance inside. Her sword at ready as they walked down the old and mossy flooring with vines carefully grown over specific places on the engraved stone walls.

Cutting down some old branches, they traveled through the maze-like halls. To Faythe they all definitely looked the same if she didn't notice slight details in the engravings. They reminded her of hieroglyphs from the Egyptians that would tell a story as they entered deeper.

"Faythe, look! A light down that way..." Robin tugged on Faythe's hand to reach the said place but the girl was more focused on the fact that she called her by her name instead of Miss Writer.

Her bright blue eyes stared at the back of Robin's figure as she guided her closer and closer towards the light. The red head couldn't help but release a giddy giggle at that.
