I kneeled on the ground and checked her heart beat rate.
"Katie"
"I feel scared"
"I can't afford to lose her"
"No one does"
Katie was exhausted. She sat next to Jennie and patted Carol's head slowly.
"I don't know what to do"
"I'm dying slowly inside"
"Let's hope"
"The cops are on their way"
We all were weeping there for a while.
Jennie glanced back with tears.
"I'm struggling to move on because I can't bear more losses"
"My mom, my dad is all gone"
"Now, it's Caroline"
"All my loved ones are moving far away from me"
"I feel guilty for her death"
"The way I behaved when she confessed about her date"
"Everything is revolving"
"Like I've fucked it up badly"
I left her with her own way.
"I think we've gone too far"
Katie backed up.
"I know it"
"But, the far we got, we found Caroline"
"Wai..wait up!"
"If Carol is dead, then where's Charlie?"
We all were on the ground just next to Caroline.
The cops came in the car with a siren. It was at the threshold of the iron gate we came across. An officer got off from the car and unsealed the lock.
They pulled up through the driveway. There were nearly 4-5 police cars and one ambulance.
They all surrounded us.
Jennie was all the same. Katie was little bit nervous to handle the situation, so am I.
Myself and Katie stood up.
"I feel like we've committed a crime"
"The situation is blaring up in my mind"
They got off the car and came near us.
Katie prepared herself for the situation.
The Doc and the nurse rushed out of the ambulance. They instructed Jennie to move away from Caroline.
They brought out a stretcher and carried Caroline right away.
They brought out a device to perform the counter shock.
On the first time, Caroline startled up and went low.
On the second, she was still.
On the third, they confessed that she was dead.
Jennie cried like something, that I could never explain. We got completely depressed.
They packed Caroline up and got in the ambulance. The cops and the Doc were discussing something and after a while, the ambulance was out of the gate.
The cop targeted us now.
Cop 1: "Hey you little ones! What the hell are you doing here?"
"Haven't you noticed the seal? You've committed the illegal"
I replied him that we know it but in the mid of my conversation some other cop broke out.
Cop2:
"So, youngsters, why on the earth would you come here?"
"What exactly happened?
"Who was that lying dead huh?"
Katie replied him.
"Sir lemme explain the whole thing here"
"When we were about to go to the woods, this place got us here"
"We heard a girl shouting from the edge"
"When we were about to help her, we three saw a lady dressed up in white nearly pushing her down"
"The door got closed suddenly"
"And all left was her death"
"We almost startled when we realized that it was one of ours"
She started to sob.
Cop1:
"Y'all know that this house has been abandoned for some crime and it's been lot of years"
"We stopped our investigation when we witnessed some strange activities taking place"
"In fact, we lost 3 of our crime investigators here on the same place"
"The case is left untouched for really a while"
"Y'all are dragging us to hell now"
We never knew that this place was that abandoned. We just came here to explore but we never thought it was this scary and we've lost our loved one.
"We're sorry for giving you hectic"
"But what shall we do now?"
The cop1 and cop2 were discussing that they need to take this case and finish it up. The rest the officers had left already. Prolly, they were too lazy.
Cop2:
"Let's come to the point"
"We have to move this secretly"
"If we let this out to the public, there'd be many jerks who can come around at night like y'all did"
"Y'all ought to come to the police station whenever asked and required"
"I hope you all get it"
I nodded.
"Yes sir"
Katie interrupted.
"And there's a boy missing"
"Caroline and Charlie decided to hangout"
"But we found her here and Charlie's missing"
"I thought this clue could help you to solve the case"
Cop1 frowned and exhaled.
"Okay!"
"We got something to find out something"
"I hope he must be somewhere else here"
"Do you know where they planned to go"
Jennie addressed the question.
"Yes sir, she told us that she'd hangout near the theme park and also she confessed that we would meet if luck permits"
"I suppose it would be some restaurant near the park because they were on a date"
She paused for a moment.
"It's Downtown!"
Cop2:
"Anything else?"
"How does he look?"
Jennie confessed about his appearance.
He was noting down every scene on a paper.
During the conversation we heard a growl from the house. It was more like a scream by a lady with pain and frustration.
Cop1:
"Y'all should leave from here right now"
"It's no safer at night"
"Leave quickly!"
"Anything else we'll call"
"If you got any prob regarding the case, confess us right away"
We three nodded.
Cop 1:
"Hey!"
"Let's go in"
"It's time to hunt for the case"
They both took the pistol and moved in.
We three started to stroll out from there. It was a complete silence and missing someone in our crew.
Katie broke the silence.
"Let's go to Carol's home and look after what are her parents upto?"
I popped up my phone.
"It's already 1AM"
"Is it really needed now?"
Jennie got in the conversation.
"No"
"Not really"
"I don't have any energy with me to speak up"
"Let's go tomorrow"
I nodded yes.
Jennie wrapped her hands around her arms. It was too cold though. It was about to rain.
After strolling for a while, we were at the theme park's main entrance.
Jennie huffed back.
"THIS IS WHERE ALL IT STARTED"
I backed up at her.
"Not really"
"It's hither and thither"
