Oh yeah- so after the movie, Miguel somehow convinced me to drive him to the Larusso house, so that's currently where I was, sitting in the parking lot. Oh! Did I mention that I had been able to save up for a janky old dodge? I mean- it was a piece of shit but it was my own car and I paid the insurance, it felt special to have something of my own.
"You sure you don't want me to come with you?"
"No I-... Maybe? A-as long as you don't mind-"
"Hey, El stop it. You're my brother now, I'm gonna protect you" I smirked
"I'm literally older than you" he scoffed getting out of my car
"By a week!" I laughed, jumping on his back as he walked to the front door.
He set me down when he got close to the house, Miguel was muttering to himself trying to figure out what to say, honestly it was pretty cute. He heard laughing coming from the backyard, we snuck around the corner seeing them having a family dinner. It was all of them and a boy... holy shit that's Robby.
"Holy shit" I sighed
I looked up at Miguel, he looked heartbroken. I felt so bad for him, I wanted to run over there and punch both of them in the face. It wasn't fair, not to Miguel, not to my brother. Miguel didn't deserve this. He started walking away before I could say anything to him, but as he got to the car, jerking open the door and slamming it shut, I figured telling him that Robby was my twin brother wasn't the smartest move.
As we drove into the parking lot there were some guys outside screwing with my dad's car.
"What the fuck" I jumped out of the car followed by Miguel.
"Hey-"
"No. Stop it. Go upstairs now" I ordered him "Go get my dad, and don't come back down you hear me? Go!"
I shoved Miguel towards the apartment building. Miguel was virtually the best fighter on our team, if he got in a real fight his mom would flip out, and my dad would lose hope again, I couldn't do that to him.
"Hey assholes!" I shouted stalking up to them "get the hell away from my dad's car"
They all looked at me and laughed. They'd busted it up pretty badly.
"Oh- oh so you're the little shit Sam talks about? Man she says you're lucky to be alive with a shiteating father like you got" one man laughed
"Oh wadda ya gonna do? Slap us?" another laughed
I cracked my neck running up to them and roundhouse kicked one of them in the face. A few jab punches to the right spots and he was out for the count. One guy clocked me up the side of the head, but I threw a few more punches, knocking him onto his back. The last guy I didn't see coming, and he bashed an oil canister against my head. I fell back onto the ground and the other guy from before kicked me in the ribs.
"Yeah! You think you can mess with us shrimp!"
"Take that ya snot nosed brat!"
They kept kicking me in the ribs, simultaneously so I had nowhere to move.
"Hey! What the hell are you doing!?" oh shit that's dad.
"Consider this a message from Daniel Larusso"
Wait what?! They both stopped, the knocked out dude had regained consciousness and was slowly getting back up. I couldn't move, no matter how much I tried to get my body to function again I couldn't. I hated it, anger boiled inside of me, red rushing over my body but I couldn't do anything about it.
I saw dad fighting the guys in front of me. He was still an amazing fighter, no matter what anyone said. He fought all the guys off, one by one, he was just about to finish off the last one, who admitted that Mr. Larusso actually had nothing to do with this. But it seems our family just couldn't catch a break.
"Hey asshole, burn in hell"
I couldn't see what happened, but I could smell it. He'd set the car on fire. I was slipping out of consciousness when I saw my dad shouting at the last man. The next thing I knew I had passed out from... well probably a multitude of things if I'm honest.

I woke up suddenly, my body jumping out of it's skin, panic showed inside of my body like a wet blanket. My eyes darted through my surroundings, this is one hundred percent not my apartment.
"Guys she's awake!" someone shouted
My breath was ragged, and I couldn't focus. I tried to stand up but pain shot through my body.
"Hey hey hey calm down, it's just us, you're in my apartment" Miguel sat in front of me, holding onto my face
"What the fuck- what the fuck!" I was completely out of it.
"Hey- it's just us" Hawk came up
I looked at everyone in front of me. It was Miguel, Hawk, Demetri and Aisha and Bert, a young kid from the dojo, he was nice. I slowly started to calm down. Hawk sat on the ground beside me, holding my hand. I gulped, cracking my neck and trying to calm down.
"My mom fixed you up after the fight, you've just been passed out" Miguel explained
"W-where's my dad?" I questioned, cursed myself for stuttering
"We don't know, you've been here since last night" Demetri explained
"What- what time is it?"
"It's uh... 7:45"
"We have school" I recalled, trying to get up
"Whoa whoa hey-" Miguel and Hawk held my shoulders, stopping me "You sure you can go to school today-"
"We're going" I growled, slowly standing up.
Everyone gave me a sad look. I sighed, rolling my eyes and letting my arms open up a little bit. Everyone grinned as we all closed in for a group hug.
"This is nice" Demetri mumbled with the usual level of sarcasm
"Okay- ow- guys-" I chuckled, getting everyone to back away "Still injured"
Everyone smiled at me, and I smiled back. I dunno what I'd do without these guys. I'd probably be dead if it wasn't for them.

"Come on, eat something. It'll make you feel better" Demetri was trying to get me and Miguel to eat during lunch
"I told you I'm not hungry man" Miguel mumbled
"Yeah me too" I nodded
I was sitting on the back of the bench behind Miguel, who was sitting in between Demetri and Aisha. Bert and Hawk were sparing behind us.
"I still think you're overreacting"
"I'm not overreacting dude, I know what I saw" Miguel insisted
"Alright, so you saw her eating dinner with some chode" Hawk spot up, punting Bert in the face "It's probably just her brother or something" Hawk walked over, leaning against my shoulders
"No dude, brother's don't look at their sisters like that"
"Depends on what part of the country you're in" Dememtri bellowed
I started humming Sweet Home Alabama, making Miguel shove me. I grinned, leaning back against Hawk's chest since it was behind me.
"Look, I just don't want what happened to sensei to happen to me"
"Alright so you go over to this kid and beat his ass so he doesn't have the chance" Hawk suggested
"Well-"
"Don't listen to Eli" Demetri cut me off
"It's Hawk" he corrected.
I knew Hawk was annoyed. I guess Demetri had always been so used to speaking up for him. But he didn't have to anymore, and Demetri needed to learn that honestly. He was turning into a real stick in the mud lately
"Yeah, whatever. The fact is Sam's given you no reason not to trust her" Demetri continued
"Yeah I guess you're right" Miguel mumbled
"Oh- that little bitch!" Aisha spoke up, staring at her phone
"What?" Demetri sighed boredly
"You know what video I posted of me breaking that board?"
"Yeah, it was sick" I nodded
"Look at what Yasmine commented"
We all leaned over to look at her phone. It read 'impressive... can't believe the belt made it around her waist'. What the actual fuck!? I will never understand internet trolls. Dad was right, they were just pussies.
"Oh shit-"
"I gotta do something" Aisha nodded
"Alright how 'bout we kidnap her and have my boy Rico tattoo 'bitch' on her face?" Hawk spoke up
"Calm down Hawk" Demetri scoffed
"Alright I hear how you're saying it, and I don't like it"
"Dude, why are you in such a mood?" I nudged Demetri "Leave him alone he's just having fun"
"Oh yeah right, go and protect your boyf-"
"Hey wait wait, I've got a better idea, look" Aisha stopped a fight before one could brew. I felt Hawk grab my hand, and I calmed down
"Yasmine's throwing a birthday party at the Canyon later?"
"Not if we strike first" Aisha said matter factly
Miguel nodded, looking back at me and Hawk but we were already smirking and into it. It was a great way to let off some steam, and get back at the bitch.
"Hell yeah"
