Chapter 45 (First time together)

My stories will forever be at Wattpad. I am just lamenting how sad it is for me to see so many talented and wonderful authors shifting their stories away from Wattpad. As COVID is still arounds and many of us have to adjust our lives or maybe our survivals around it. I can understand why some are moving their stories away.

Wangyi then lower his cute head and pretends to ask Zhan Xian
"So, how are we going to go over to the oter side of the wall?" Wangyi asks very shyly
Zhan Xian pretends to hesitate a while
"I will have to carry you over then" Zhan Xian is actually quite shy when he spoke those unearthly words. For a third prince who has been brought up well, words such as that would not have spoken to someone that is not his official Wangfei, but looking at the cuteness, he just couldn't control himself and let out his heart desire. Honestly, the third prince seems to notice that laterly he has been losing control whenever he is near to this cute lion. His well balanced life seems to have thrown into the abyss and he would often rudely or actually lovingly stares without a blink at Wangyi and his words are considered flirtatious and our of order just as now.
"Oh..I-I mean to say that, I-I will support you and fly out of the wall together with you" Zhan Xian tries his best to correct himself with dignity.
Wangyi looks at him sharply
"Then what are we waiting for?" Wangyi asks with a blank look and after waiting for a few minutes and the third prince still standing with no action, Wangyi then just moves towards Zhan Xian and took his arm and put it around his waist.
"Hold me tight, don't drop me" Wangyi told Zhan Xian
It is now then the prince has some reaction after his arm has been taken by the small warm palm that his blood begins to flow and melt away those numbness in his body.
The awaken prince immediately gain his composure and nods
"Y-Yes, will hold tight and will not drop you" the third prince just a little daze as being hug by such a cute lion can be so heavenly that it surges the warm current in his heart and soul that he wishes that those arms around his waist will never leave him.
"Huh!. Why are we not flying then" after a while Wangyi asks when the prince is still trying to find his footings.
The third prince then realises his own daziness and quite composed himself again and closes his eyes to let his qi flows into his body and his arms finally grab the lion arms and he softly tell Wangyi
"Hold tight" Wangyi felt his feet lifted up and he always wanted to have air Kungfu and thus this feeling is really amazing for him and unconsciously he tighten his arm around the waist as it gives him a little fear, just a little and more of excitement.
The pair of two tightly wrapped bodies fly through the high wall and landed perfectly on the ground outside of the palace wall.
Wangyi releases his arm and immediately the third prince find the source of warm has gone and was a little unhappy and more so of disappointment.
"This is definitely better than climbing the tree" Wangyi told Zhan Xian with a giggles.
The night is dark and very quiet however with Zhan Xian sharp ears, he can hears the marching of those palace boots in a distance away, the palace guards are making their rounds of inspection around the palace, although technically other than enemies, no one would dare to even go close to the palace wall. Zhan Xian however knew that there is still round the clock palace marching around the palace walls.
"Follow me, we need to go before the palace guards find us" Zhan Xian told Wangyi and unconsciously holding that small warm hand.
Wangyi was in a daze, although he is cheeky but he doesn't like dark, so the darkness makes him lost his sense of direction and also fear slightly creeping in and thus when he felt the big warm palm with those slender fingers curling into his, he finds his source of security and he tightens those slender fingers more by his pressing against it.
Zhan Xian felt a little trembling hands, just like a kitty little purr and he immediately pulls Wangyi and they dart in the dark and runs away from the palace.
"We need to find a inn to spend the night" Zhan Xian told Wangyi.
Now walking in the quiet street, where every household has already retire into the family, Zhan Xian told Wangyi as they walks
"How are we going to introduce ourselves?" Zhan Xian asks
"Huh?" Wangyi was a little lost
"What do you mean?" the little cute lion hasn't been out of the Cheng Tribes by himself and doesn't know that they need to register in the inn.
"I mean what is your relationship to me" Zhan Xian asks as he doesn't know what Wangyi wants
"Huh!, aren't we betrothed and suppose to marry soon" the shy Wangyi brushes a little
Zhan Xian stops in front of an inn. Zhan Xian swallow a big gulp of salvia
"Now, the outside Jianghu world is a dangerous place, with your face, it is even more dangerous, so we need to come up with some solutions" Zhan Xian told Wangyi
"How about I cover it?" Wangyi told Zhan Xian
"You did that the last time I meet you and you are just too attractive and people just wanted to see you, you are not only beautiful on the face, the whole of you is beautiful. We couldn't cover all of you, right" Zhan Xian told Wangyi without any teases, he is seriously worry about the cute lion.
"T-Then how, I am born like this and I didn't know it is such a disadvantage" Wangyi pouts and sulk at Zhan Xian with his arm around his chest.
"No, no, not a disadvantage, you are blessed to be beautiful, just have to think of a way to not attract those unwanted people" Zhan Xian still thinking and he really worries about Wangyi.
"Then what can I do?" Wangyi is now almost in tears. He has been praised beautiful almost daily and everyone that meet him, he never knows that this would be something that works against him,
"I need to protect you, so we have work out our relationship" Zhan Xian told Wangyi
"Em, just tell them I am your future spouse and they will back off right" Wangyi innocently tilt his head at Zhan Xian.
"No, future, that still giving them chances and choices, with you, people will really make bad choices" Zhan Xian told Wangyi.
"Let's post as close relationship" Zhan Xian told Wangyi
"Okay, how about I am your sister" Wangyi
"No" they will still capture you " Zhan Xian
"Mmmm... how about I post as your daughter" Wangyi giggles
"What! I am not that old...y-you...." Zhan Xian rolls his eyes, the worst is to have your future spouse father-zoned you.
"Then, how about I just act as your wife then, huh!" Wangyi told Zhan Xian
Zhan Xian was shocked because the protocol of unmarried maiden will never be so daring to bring out this matter, acting as husband and wife meaning they have to sleep together. Although, this is the most likely solution but Zhan Xian just couldn't bring himself to tell Wangyi, he worries that Wangyi might misunderstood him, but he never expect that Wangyi is such a Jianghu maiden, that he is straight forward to the point.
Wangyi then shyly admits
"I am afraid of darkness and don't want to be alone in the room...... Jingyi always catches these fireflies and puts them into the bottles at night in my room. But now we are outside....." Wangyi sigh and then bravely tells Zhan Xian his true self.
Zhan Xian is truly touched because this little Wangyi is not only innocent but also very pure and honest with himself.
"Then, we will post as husband and wife, I can sleep on the floor and I really want to thank you for having so much trust in me" Zhan Xian told Wangyi
"Huh! Of course I trust you, you are my friend and future husband" Wangyi smiles cutely and his eyes sparkles when he talks, although, his ears are red and his face flushes but he faces his challenges and tell Zhan Xian what is true in his heart.
Zhan Xian has now fallen into the bottomless pit in his love for Wangyi, Wangyi is so unlike others, with him, is always the truth and no agenda behind his thought.
"Wangyi....." Zhan Xian looks at him lovingly and short of speech because this person in front of him seems so unreal.
"Huh!" Wangyi looks at Zhan Xian
"Thank you for your trust Wangyi....I-I ...am happy" Zhan Xian told Wangyi with misty eyes
Wangyi looks at Zhan Xian and flicks his hand in front of him
"No cry baby as my husband" then Wangyi giggles loudly and stick out his tongue
Zhan Xian joins in the laughs, his baby lion is "super cute"
Zhan Xian then took out a beanie kind of hat and place it over Wangyi head and pulls it till it almost cover his eyes and with ever gentle voice, the told Wangyi
"Stay and hide behind me" Zhan Xian told Wangyi and so now they both enter into the inn.
It is already late at night and it is sleeping time, so the inn is although well lighted up but it is quiet as a mouse. The employee of the Inn keeper at the front is an elderly man that is half seated on the chair and half of his body leaning on the table and falling asleep. There were loud snoring from the sleeping man that almost makes Wangyi laughs because his mouth is in the air and he is almost like blowing bubbles in the air with his loud snoring, there also seems to be a rhythmic pattern of music with that snores.
Zhan Xian pushes Wangyi behind his back even though there is a beanie covering half of his face.
"Hey, Mr, we want to rent a room" Zhan Xian shakes the employee.
The poor old man rubs his sleepy eyes and then he looks at both of them
"1 room or 2" he ask irritatingly
"1 room, we are married" Zhan Xian explains to the grumbly employees
The old man seems awakes and he looks at someone behind Zhan Xian back and he mumbles
"Hey, are you really his wife, why are you hiding behind" the pld man asks, seems to be a little concern.
Wangyi shoot his head out and then comes forward
"Yes, I am, why do you ask?" Wangyi asks with curiousity
"Aiya, you don't know, there seems to be kidnapping of young maiden from those commoners, so I want to be careful. Please accept this old man apology" the old man smiles to them
Zhan Xian frowns and then he asks
"Why didn't the provincial government investigate?" Zhan Xian asks
"Well, the Prime Minister seems to be in charge of this, but this is quite a while already, very frustrating and fearful for commoners, now, in the capital, you don't see much young maidens walking along, unless they are those wealthy maiden with tons of bodyguards" the old man sighs and reply.
"Hey, your this wife is very young, better keep her close to you" the old man warns Zhan Xian
"I sure will do that" Zhan Xian told the old man
The old man then gives Xian Zhan and Wangyi the key to the upper class room on the top floor level and then went back to sleep.
Wangyi and Zhan Xian enters into the dark room and Wangyi straight away grabs Zhan Xian arms and walks behind him
"Light the candle quickly" Wangyi told Zhan Xian
Once the room is lighted, Wangyi release his grab which Zhan Xian feels like he should not even light the candle.
Wangyi looks around and saw that the big bed is really comfortable and large.
Zhan Xian is really a gentleman and so he went to the cupboard and told some blankets and lay on the floor to get ready for bed. It is almost midnight now and he could see Wangyi eye's is already red with several cute yawning.
Because they are travelling and so Zhan Xian told Wangyi to sleep with his clothes on, which is a common practice when Zhan Xian travels in the Jianghu. The motto is "Always ready".
SO, both of them, just took out their sashes and boots and sink into the bed to sleep.
Wangyi feels really bad that such a big bed occupied only by himself
"Are you sure you are alright to sleep on the floor" Wangyi asks Zhan Xian with conern
"Yah, don't worry, we even sleep on the ground in the jungle if I travel and cannot find any inn nearby" Zhan Xian seems to boost a little to Wangyi
"I-f. if, you are uncomfortable, t-then alright to share the bed" the innocent voice of Wangyi makes Zhan Xian smiles in his heart.
"It is alright, better sleep now, as tomorrow we have a long journey" Zhan Xian told Wangyi
However, the curious Wangyi seems a little disturb by the kidnapped girls
"Who has such courage to kidnap girls in the capital?" Wangyi asks Zhan Xian
"I am also wondering, but now, we need to focus what is important on hand first, when I go back to palace, I will definitely report to father and look into this matter" Zhan Xian promises Wangyi as he knew that Wangyi is petty disturb by the news as he observes the frowns on Wangyi's face.
"Alright, I hope these bad people will be caught soon, good night" Wangyi yawn again as he speaks
"Good night" Zhan Xian reply and in his heart, sleeping so close to this beauty has actually 'thrump' his heart but with good upbringing, he is able to calm his heart and Wangyi is so pure and innocent and the purpose of him wanting to sleep with Wangyi in the same room is to protect him.
Both are really tire and so very quickly Zhan Xian has fallen into his sleep, however, Wangyi eyes is looking around in the dark but once he heard the soft snoring of Zhan Xian he feels relieve that someone is sleeping in the same room as him and so very quickly, he fell asleep too.
The snores in the room is very light and gentle and so it is really peaceful. Zhan Xian is still deep in sleep and somehow, he feels like there is a bulge or something moving beside him. Through his sleepiness, Zhan Xian thought he is dreaming and thus in his blur mind, he seems to want to ignore it and gets back to his dreamland. However, the bulge seems to get closer to him and even pushes him a little which alerts his own Jianghu experiences.
Zhan Xian immediately sit up and wanting to find out what it is, however, the smell of the bulge seems very familiar and so the hand in the air that was supposed to hit the bulge drops in the air. Some kind of sense comes into his mind. Why does it smell so much like Wangyi, those "Sandlewood" smell is lingering inside the big balloon of blanket.
Stirring himself to be more awake, Zhan Xian sniff his nose and then gently pat the blanket
"Wangyi....." in the still darkness, Zhan Xian calls for Wangyi
There is very light sniffing which need a very sharp pair of ears to hear it and of course Zhan Xian knew that it is from Wangyi and his heart melts with pain
"Hey, why are you crying?" Zhan Xian asks with softness
"Dark.....don't like it" Wangyi sniff with his very soft answers.
Zhan Xian cursed himself and knew that it is hard to talk in darkness and so he wanted to head towards the table and light the candle but there is another soft voice telling him
"No candle, I am ugly" Wangyi warns Zhan Xian
"Oh..., how about some very small light then" Zhan Xian then search for his bag which is beside him and took out a very small growl stick which he uses for emergency
The room is now dimly lighted and so Zhan Xian asks again
"Wangyi, tell me what happened?" Zhan Xian asks
Wangyi then put his blanket down and now the dim light can see his tears laced face
"No fireflies and very dark...you don't want to sleep beside me... wuwuwuwuww....bad person" Wangyi sniffers and cries again, making Zhan Xian at a lost of how to handle this cute baby. There is two sides of Wangyi that Zhan Xian loves both dearly. The strong and intelligent side of Wangyi as the way he answers the Empress and also those ideas that he can think of. There is also the cute side of it, that has a childlike innocent like now... not much understanding of boy-girl relationship.
Zhan Xian is at a lost of how to handle this giant baby
"You know that I not sleeping on the bed is for your good, good reputation" Zhan Xian really trying to explains himself
"Good, NO!, it is no good, I am frighten, when I wakes up in the middle of the night with unfamiliar environment and in darkness, I feel like I am lost in the cave which reminds me when I was lost at eight years old, I runs alone to the cave and lost inside and so from that day onwards, I don't like darkness. No darkness, no creepy insects...wuwuwuwuwu...." Wangyi cries with tears flowing down his red cheeks.
Zhan Xian wanted to hug him but he is afraid of offending him and so he hugs the big blanket that covers up Wangyi
"I am sorry, my bad, I am just worry what others think or what you think that I am bad, sleeping with you on the same bed" Zhan Xian told Wangyi
Wangyi then slams his excuses down
"My great grand father from Zen Mountains says, we sometimes cannot worry about what others think, we must focus on what our heart thinks, if our heart is pure then we shouldn't worry about what others think" Wangyi told Zhan Xian.
Now, Zhan Xian should just knock his head onto the wall. He is dealing with a pure angel and not someone that is corrupted by the world.
"I am sorry Wangyi, what do you think I should do so that you will not get angry with me" Zhan Xian asks and Wangyi sit up and then reply
"I don't understand why the bed is so big and we cannot just share it. I don't want to be a selfish person. We just sleep and refreshed our bodies, what so bad about that?" Wangyi told Zhan Xian with his honest self.
Zhan Xian immediately nods his head and then suddenly he remembers
"Wangyi....you..cannot share your bed with others...you know that right...even though it is being selfless..." Zhan Xian couldn't help but to tell his baby lion, it will caused him death to know that the innocent lion share his bed with others.
"My mother says I can only share with family members and you are going to be my spouse, so future family members" Wangyi innocently told Zhan Xian
Zhan Xian nods and then he asks Wangyi
"Should we then sleep on the bed which is more comfortable" Zhan Xian asks Wangyi.
Wangyi stops his cries and he uses his hand to cleans his tears and then give a very light smile
"Em" Wangyi shyly and happily agrees and now both of them huddles up all their blankets and went back to the big empty beds and fills them bed with themselves and the blankets.
Wangyi slide himself inside and then he sleeps and wiggles to a good position and sleep. Zhan Xian straightens himself like a steel pole, all these are new to both of them. Wangyi also somehow feels weird, he slept with is mother before and no one else when he was young. Slept with Xichen when they were young but in adulthood, he never sleeps with anyone but with Zhan Xian there is a sense of security which helps him to combat the darkness but somehow he also feel the fast heartbeat which makes him feeling weird.
Zhan Xian is more mature and he knows more what sleeping together indicates, he is brought up in the palace and his brothers had many concubines and sometimes even talks rubbish when they are drunk. However, all these makes him uncomfortable with racing heartbeats but he remembers his pure and innocent baby, who told him that when a person has a pure heart than there is no worry about what others think. So, he calms himself, he values Wangyi above himself, he is here to help Wangyi, he will never allows Wangyi to feels alone and frighten, thus with this thought, Zhan Xian mind relaxes and almost fell into his dreamland and he heard Wangyi
"I only allows you to sleep with me because you make my heart beats fast"
