Meera's POV
I come home late that day. The meeting went well and I was busy the rest of the day. I reach home, change into shorts and a tank top and fall asleep the moment my head hits the pillow.

I wake up next morning to find myself cuddling with Reyansh. When and how did he get here? He was already awake and staring at me. I kiss him all over his face and he giggles burying his face in the bed. I get up and take him downstairs where aunty is making breakfast. I hand him over to her and go and get ready.
After I'm ready, I go downstairs and sit with Reyansh. Just then Abhi comes and says,
"Uh, Meera, Can we talk", he asks hesitantly and I nod. We head into the living room.
"So what did you want to talk about?", I ask
"Why dint you tell me that you father has cancer", he asks and I snap my head up at him .
"What?"
"You heard me. Why dint you ever tell me that your dad has cancer"
"I dint know I had to", I say and he just sighs. He dint know? Ma and the others know.
"Ok leave that for now, why did you marry me?", he asks.
"Why are you asking these questions all of a sudden"
"We are married Meera, shouldn't we know a little about each other", he says and I give in.
"I married you for the same reason you married me. My dad has never asked anything from me and this was the first time he did so I couldn't say no", I say and he nods.
"Do you want to ask me something"
"Yeah actually there is one thing. What happened to Reyansh's mother ", I ask and his face becomes angry.
"Reyansh doesn't have a mother. I, uh slept with a woman a couple of time and uh she dint want the child as it would be an hinderance in her modelling career"
"oh..ok", I don't know what else to say.
"What about you , dint you have any boyfriend", he asks and the color drains from my face, " Its ok. You don't have to tell me if you are not comfortable", he says at my hesitation.
"No its ok. I had a boyfriend back in London. We were together for a long time and loved each other but 5 years ago he died on the same day as my mom", I say shortly.
"I'm sorry", he says.
"Why are you apologizing . Its not your fault. Don't worry about it, that was a long time ago", I say simply and Abhi just nods.
"Do you think we can, uh stay like this, I mean ignoring each other forever, you know", Abhi stutter and looks so cute. I cant help but chuckle.
"Hey, dont laugh at me"
"I'm sorry go on , what were you saying"
"Yeah so I was saying we don't have to act like stranger, we ca be huh friends", he asks hesitantly. Honestly I'm shocked. Looking at my expression he quickly says, "Never mind", it was a stupid-", he goes on saying but I cut him off.
"I'd love to be friends", I say smiling and he returns the smile. No harm in being friends right?
"Ok, that's great, I'm glad we are friends. I have to go now so bye", he says awkwardly.
"yeah, bye", I reply shortly as he walks out. I don't have to go to the hospital until 12 so I decide to relax for a while and spend some time with Reyansh.

Abhimanyu's POV
I honestly felt lighter after talking to Meera. When I proposed the idea of being friends, I was scared that she would refuse but she agreed. The moment she told me that both her mom and boyfriend had died on the same day, I could see hurt and love for both of them in her eyes.
God, why am I talking like this. This is girl is definitely messing with my mind. When I entered my office today, I smile at Payal. She was so shocked and thought that I was my identical twin or seriously ill. It's true though, I never smile at my employees. I have to stop thinking about her and concentrate on my work, yes, focus Abhi.

And just like that a few months passed by . We still dint talk much as our work timings dint match . During the times we both were home it wasn't as awkward as before, it was pleasant. Occasionally Nikhil , Alia , Adi and Karan would come over to watch a movie or we would go out.
Her and Rey were like a small light in my monotonous life. The thing that annoys me a little is Karan. He is always around, its like he's everywhere. He is constantly around Meera taking up all her attention.
I'm currently in my office just finishing up my work when I get a call from ma ,
"Hello"
"Abhi, come home fast is urgent", ma says frantically.
"Ok, but what happened is everything fine", I ask but she has already cut the call.
What could have happened, Is everything fine? I collect all my stuff and rush out. I head towards the elevator and press the buttons multiple times. The elevator is just about to close when Nikhil comes running. He enters just before the door closes.
"Did aunty call you also?", he asks and I nod.
We quickly go to my car and drive towards the Malhotra mansion.
We reach there ,I park the car and we run into the mansion. Ma, dad, Alia, and Adi are sitting in the living room and chatting?
They look up when Nikhil and I enter.
"Oh , you both came , sit down , we are just waiting for Meera", ma says coolly.
"Why did you call us, what's wrong", I ask, she sounded so panicked on the phone. A moment later Meera enters with Karan. Did mom call him too?
She looks panicked, "What happened is everyone fine?"
"Yes yes, sit down", Ma says and she sits opposite to me with Karan beside her.
"Great so since everyone is here, I have an announcement to make", dad says and we all look at him expectantly. "All of us are going to Lavasa", she says excitedly.
"Ok, cool. But for what?", Nikhil asks.
"For a family vacation . And if I'm not going to accept any excuses, your work can wait for a few days. We have a farmhouse there and we are going there for some family time, so pack your bags.", Ma says in a final tone.
"But we have a meeting with-", I start to say but ma cuts me off.
"Your meeting can wait Abhi . Everyone present in this room will be coming.", she says and we all agree.
"When are going though", Meera finally speaks up.
"Right, we'll leave on Friday morning and be back on Sunday night. Its a 3hrs drive from here", Alia answers this time.
"Great, since all this is settled, lets go and have dinner", ma says and we all make our way to the dining room.
This time I go and sit next to Meera before Karan can. Our hands brush slightly and I feel electricity shot up my arm. She looks up at me and smiles .
"Have you ever been to Lavasa", I ask her and she shakes her head in denial.
"It's a beautiful place, I'm sure you'll love it", I say.
"I'm sure it is", she replies with a smile. We are leaving on Friday so 3 more days to go . I'm not going to lie, I am a little excited.
The rest of the dinner passes smoothly and after that Meera and I head home together
