Sonu hesitantly called him in and closed the door behind them- she was a nervous wreck from the inside but she tried her best to appear confident-
Mayank: So Sonu- what have you called me here for, he devilishly smirked
Sonu: Mayank- I- I just wanted to request you to leave me alone now- Meri aab shaadi ho chuki hai- You're never gonna get me Mayank so it's better if you stop trying-
Mayank: Are you serious Sonu- tumhe lagata hai ke I will just let all my efforts go to waste?? Huh? Tum samajti kyun nahi ho Sonu, mein tumse bohot zyada pyaar karta houn-
Sonu: This is not love Mayank- isse obsession kehte hai and if you really loved me you would've never cheated on me........Aur mein tumse pyaar NAHI karti, I love Raj and I'm now his wife-
Mayank angrily stood up, "Shut up Sonu! Tu ne mujhe samaj kya rakha hai-- You think ke tumhari request se mein tumhe chod dounga? Iss baar nahi Sonu- jo mein chahata tha wo mein tumahrey saath karne hi waala tha but woh Ishqi beech mein aagayi aur tum baach gayi but aab toh yahan per koi nahi hai na Sonu....big mistake calling me here alone"
He started advancing towards Sonu but then they heard Ishqi behind them- Sonu sighed a breath of relief while Mayank angrily stomped his foot on the ground hearing Ishqi's voice-
Sonu: Who said I was alone here Mayank-
He turned around and a tight slap landed on his face, "HOW DARE YOU SLAP ME ISHQI" he screamed
Ishqi fiercely replied, "HOW DARE YOU DO ALL THAT YOU DID TO SONU"
Ahaan was enraged by watching Mayank harass Sonu with his own eyes but he was also impressed by Ishqi's courage, "She's amazing" he muttered under his breath
Mayank: Bohot himmat agayi hai na tumein Ishqi- Sonu ko toh mein baad mein dekh lounga- first it's your turn-
He started moving closer to Ishqi while she moved backwards- soon the wall touched Ishqi's back, she couldn't moved further away from him- Mayank smirked, he was about to touch her when Ahaan appeared from inside the closet and furiously punched Mayank in the face-
Ahaan: TUMHARI HIMMAT KAISE HUI MAYANK?!!! HOW DARE YOU- MEINE TUMHE APNA BEST FRIEND MAANA AUR TUMNE MERI BEHAN KE SAATH ITNA GHATIYA KAAM KIYA- AND YOU HAVE NO REGRETS OVER IT- SHAME ON YOU MAYANK & WHO THE HELL GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO TOUCH MY ISHQI" he said while beating up Mayank
Kartik (in mind): Meri Ishqi?? Bhaii- gussay mein dil ki baat bahar agayi"
Ishqi was also surprised at Ahaan's remark but she couldn't see him in that state- She agreed that Mayank deserved to be beaten up and punished but she couldn't bear to see Ahaan in pain-
Ishqi interfered, Buss AVM- Omg your hand- his finger was bleeding and his knuckles were bruised-
Raj stood by Sonu and comforted her- he was fuming in anger as well but seeing his love breakdown restricted him from leaving her side- Sonu was having a major breakdown- Kartik noticed this and signalled Raj to take Sonu out of the room-
Ishqi: AVM listen to me- please, she had tears in her eyes- AHAAN she yelled and he left Mayank's collar and stopped throwing punches at him
Ishqi: Kartik we need to take Mayank to the police station alive- Please take him to the car, me and Ahaan will be there shortly.
Kartik did as he was told- Mayank was in no condition to protest or run, he was dizzy and his head was bleeding from all the beatings he'd received from Ahaan. He knew his game was over-
Ahaan was enraged, he started to punch the wall, Ishqi knew it was hard for him to see what Sonu had to go through with his own eyes, she understood his anger but the way he was hurting himself pained her-
Ishqi: Ahaan- Ahaan listen to me- CALM DOWN- everything is going to be fine-
Ahaan: No Ishqi- I wasn't there for Sonu- My Sonu had to deal with this jerk alone- I- I failed as a brother, tears fell from Ahaan's eyes
Ishqi pulled Ahaan in a tight hug and he cried his heart out on her shoulder, she too couldn't control her emotions anymore and she broke down as well. Both of them were comforting one another, they weren't afraid to show their weak points- they felt comfortable and tranquil in each other's presence.
Ishqi pulled from the hug and looked into Ahaan's eyes- they wiped each other's tears and Ishqi said, "Ahaan- I know what you're feeling and it's ok to breakdown once in a while- I'm here for you- You don't have to hide your emotions from me, okay?" she smiled reassuringly
Ahaan nodded, "Thank you Ishqi- I've always given support, I have never received it.....thank you for being my support Ishqi"
Ishqi: Always, she smiled, "But promise me one thing....You'll never hurt yourself because of your anger....okay? Because you should know that it hurts people who care for you to see you in pain...promise? she said while putting her hand forward
Ahaan: Promise, he said firmly encasing his hand in her's- His heart fluttered knowing Ishqi cared for him & couldn't see him suffering- He pledged to always be there for Ishqi when she'd need him because she was always there for him when he needed her-
"Now lets go- Mayank ko police station bhi toh le ke jaana hai" she said while standing up-
They both collected the camera's they'd previously hidden in the room as proof against Mayank and they zoomed to the parking lot where Ahaan's car was parked-
Kartik was patiently waiting for them, "Kya kya baatein ho rahi hogi bhai aur Ishqi ke beech.....Kahin bhai ke dil ne unke dimaag ko overtake toh nahi karliye- Ishqi aur Bhai ne apni feelings confess toh nahi kardi" he thought excitedly while Mayank lay on the car seat half-conscious
Ahaan and Ishqi entered the parking lot and shook Kartik out of his thoughts, "Kartik-" Ahaan said for the third time-
Kartik: Oh bhai- bha- I mean Ishqi, aap log aa gaye- he said trying to identify something different about them....but no...."why are they behaving exactly as they did before? Kartik tu kuch zyada hi soch raha tha- nahi confess kiya bhai ne"
Ishqi and Ahaan noticed the changing expressions on Kartik's face, "Kartik tum abhi toh itne khush lag rahe the but aab you're looking disappointed" pointed out Ishqi
Kartik: Nahi kuch nahi mujhe koi ghalat fehmi hogayi thi-- Anyways- Mayank is on the verge of fainting- Let's go to the police station before he passes out.
Ishqi and Ahaan nodded- "Ishqi, tumne Sonu ka recorded confession le liye hai na?" asked Ahaan.
Ishqi: Yes AVM- Raj just sent it to me- he said that Sonu is mentally exhausted and she needs some time to rest so they won't be coming along-
Ahaan: Okay- we should get going-
Kartik sat in the backseat with Mayank while Ahaan drove the car and Ishqi sat in the passenger seat. During the drive all Ahaan could think about was how he was going to breakup with Rhea and what he felt for Ishqi-
While Ishqi was also contemplating about what was actually between her and Ahaan, "Ishqii- tujhe yeh ho kya raha hai......How can I and Ahaan share our vulnerability with each other so easily?? I feel safe and happy when he's around....He has a girlfriend but, but he doesn't seem interested in her at all....but whatever it is Ishqi- he's committed and nothing further can happen till he breaks up with Rhea and even if I do confess my feelings what's the guarantee he feels the same way? What if my confession just makes things awkward between us.....no...I cant risk that, we've finally become good friends and I can afford to loose that friendship...at least not this soon.."
Kartik just sat their thinking of a plan to unite Ishqi and Ahaan- "Kya karun meinn??? Ajeeb log hai yeh....Dono ke mann mein feelings hai lekin confess nahi karna chahate......inn ke moun se "just friends" sunn sunn ke mera dimaag kharab hogaya hai......Saaf pata chalta hai ke yeh dono jhoot bol rahe....ek dusre se, logon se, aur apne aap se bhi....Kartik tujhe hi kuch karna pareyga"
They reached the police station within 20 minutes and Ahaan emptied a water bottle onto Mayank's face- He instantly shot his eyes open and rubbed his head.
Mayank: What is happening? What time is it?? Where am I??
The trio ignored his questions- Kartik and Ahaan pulled him out of the car and dragged him inside the police station while Ishqi followed behind them-
Inspector: Yes- how can I help you?
Ahaan: We've come to file a complaint against this guy, he said while pointing towards Mayank
Inspector: Kis cheez ki complaint?
Ishqi: Molestation, mental harassment, drugging, and blackmail-
The inspector's eyes widened "Wow that's a long list of serious crimes- Constable Vivek, arrest this criminal immediately"
Ishqi handed over the phone containing images/messages used for blackmailing, Mayank's confession, and Sonu's recorded statement to the inspector-
Inspector: Thank you guys, we'll make sure he gets the harshest punishment possible as what he did is definitely not forgivable.
Ahaan: Please keep us updated-
The inspector nodded and Ishqi-Ahaan-Kartik left the police station with relief that they had succeeded in their plan-
"Bhai-Ishqi, since we're all already out and we accomplished something big today, let's celebrate and get something to eat" Kartik suggested
Ahaan: Haan, bhook toh mujhe bhi lagi hai- What do you say Ishqi?
Kartik (in mind): Haayyeee, bhai Ishqi ki rai maang rahe hai...Ahaan the Mahaan has become so soft for Ishqi... he mentally did a happy dance
Ishqi nodded in agreement, "Yahan paas mein ek dhaaba hai, baaki saab kuch toh baand hoga but that'll for sure be open" she excitedly said
Ahaan smiled at Ishqi's excitement and drove to the dhaaba as she directed-
Kartik observed this from the backseat, "Kitne khush hai yeh dono saath mein, I hope aise hi yeh humesha khush reh dono- Always together forever- ⚡️
