PRESENT DAY
(Two months since February)
It's Zion's day with Malani. I have no internet in getting out of bed and getting her ready I just want to curl up in ball.
ZION'S POV
I get Lani today and have to see V. I miss her. I can't eat, can't sleep. I want her back so bad. I'd do anything.
"I'm about to come pick her up is she ready?" I text.
"👍🏽" she text back.
I climb out of bed and look at the drawer that the ring is in.
I put it in my pocket I'm going to show it to her today.
I hop into my car and drive to her house.
VENUS'S POV
I hear Zion knock on the door.
"Lani come here please." I reach out for her to walk to me.
She stumbles her way over to me and I pick her up.
"Ok Lani girl have fun with your daddy I'll see you in two days baby." I kiss her.
"Mama mama mama mama." She babbles.
I open the door.
"Hey." I say.
"Yo." I says back.
He grabs her and walks in to grab her bags and toys.
He walks out and I close the door.
I hear the car door shut but he knocks again.
"Did you forget something?" I ask.
"I wanted to give you this." He pulls out a little box and puts it in my hand before getting in his car and pulling off.
I take the small satin box and put it on my living room table.
I slowly grab it and open it.
"Oh shit." I gasp.
I publicly dissed him. Broke up our family. And didn't hear him out when all he was trying to get was my dream ring.
I feel like a loser. what if he doesn't want me back.
I knew I couldn't call anyone this time I had to do it on my own.
Bring the ring closer and pick it up out of the box.
I slip it on my ring finger and almost break down.
I knew I wanted him. But how would I get him back?
I call him. That's a start I guess...
It rings two times before he picks up.
"I'm sorry that was a shit thing for me to do and I should have listened to you when you tried to talk so if you will take me back I'd love to be your wife Z and I love you."
"I love you too V." Is all he said before hanging up the phone.
"Thats it?!" I say out loud.
I'm not calling him back but I'll see him when I get Malani.
TWO DATS LATER
Zion text me that he's about to pull up and my heart is in my ass.
As I'm sitting in the dining room he knocks on the door.
Here goes nothing.
I open the door to a smiling Malani.
"Hii my girl did you have fun with daddy?" I ask her.
She nods then tries to get down.
I let her down and she walks up the steps.
"Lani girl where are you going?" I say.
"Room room." She points to her room.
I turn my attention to Zion and he just looks at me.
Then he embraces me into his arms. And I knew we would be good again. It would take a while but we would be good.
