"You were on cameras, weren't you? The murder was reported 12 hours ago. You didn't step up to say you saw shit on cameras. Why didn't you?"
"I-I didn't!"
"Bullshit!"
Files were slammed down onto the table.
"We have solid evidence of you sitting in the camera room. You were on shift when the murder happened. The camera was angled awkwardly in the bathroom, but you could most certainly see what happened. And even if not, you could damn well see what happened in the main hall!" The interrogator growled, angry Alpha pheromones radiating off of him.
"I swear I didn't! Please, you have to believe me!" The beta cried, shaking.
"Fucking LIAR!"
Eunwoo and Myungjun finally appeared, walking through the door and appearing on the other side of the glass. They could easily see the interrogator and the suspect, who was on the verge of a breakdown.
"Stay here, yeah? Watch for any sudden movements. If anything happens, you better get your plastic ass in there and get us out." Myungjun warned the android, and Eunwoo nodded.
"I understand."
Myungjun went into the room, and ushered the alpha out of there.
The Alpha growled and grumbled, noticing Eunwoo watching the room.
"Who are you?" He asked, confused on what he was doing here.
"Hello. My name is Eunwoo, I am here on a mission" Eunwoo replied, scanning the others face.
Park Minhyuk. 22 years old. Alpha. Interrogator. Has been given disciplinary warnings throughout the past 4 months.
"Mission, eh?"
"Yes."
"Never seen you around! You a new rookie or something?" Minhyuk asked, leaning against the door frame.
"No. I have worked in the police department for 3 months. I have been assigned to be partners with Captain Myungjun." Eunwoo stated, Minhyuk nodding.
"Hm. I see-"
He suddenly noticed that there was a light flickering near Eunwoo's temple, and he froze.
"Wait. You're an android?"
"Yes."
Minhyuk scowled.
"God, fucking pathetic. An android? A piece of plastic? Is handling murders? What on earth did they think?"
"I have been designed to work at a Police area, my sensors are updated fully and my creator can assure you that I am a detective model. You may search up my model online, if you wish so."
"No thanks. Get on with your work"
Minhyuk left in a hurry, slamming the door behind him.
His light flickered orange, before it went back to white.
He turned his attention back to the glass panel, where the two were sitting.
He enabled his advanced hearing and began listening.
"You were on cameras yesterday?"
"No! I wasn't! I didn't have my shift yesterday!"
"Don't lie. We damn well know you were on shift, we have proof from your manager. Tell me, why didn't you tell anyone when you saw the victim get murdered?"
"I didn't see them get murdered, for fucks sake! I'm telling you all I know. I was at home when the murder happened. I swear, I wasn't involved with the killing of the dude"
"You're just making this difficult for yourself. If you own up, you might get less time in prison. Now speak, come on. We do not have all day"
There was a silence, and then it was broken by the beta.
"Why won't you just use your Alpha voice on me? Like the other one did? Nearly got me to confess, but he didn't get anything out. There's nothing to confess!"
"Are you asking the questions or am I?"
"You're not a real Alpha, are you?"
"Shut your fucking hole!"
He slammed down his files and snarled.
"I ASK the questions. YOU ANSWER. You fucking got it, or do I have to rack your brain to get the damn answers out?!"
He heard a whimper from the beta.
"I genuinely don't know who did it.."
"Oh my fucking god. YOU were on cameras. YOU were on shift yesterday. What happened?!"
"I don't know!"
"BULLSHIT!"
Eunwoo hummed as he played with the bottle cap he found found at the bar for a while, while continuing to listen to the interrogation.
His ears twisted as he heard scraping of chairs, and he immediately looked to the room.
Myungjun had gotten up, and he went insanely close to the other Beta, who cowered.
"Start talking. You do not want to start with me."
The beta whimpered quietly.
"I can't.. Because there's nothing for me—"
"EUNWOO!"
The android perked up, and remembering his instruction from earlier, he went into the interrogation room.
Myungjun looked horribly pissed.
"Never. Never in my career, have I met a wolf this stubborn." He growled.
Casting his eyes to Eunwoo, he pointed to the Beta, who looked up at him with fear in its eyes.
"You. Make him more keen on telling me what the fuck happened. I'm going to go interrogate the other people there. When I come back, I expect him to be crying with information. I don't care how you do it, I want him to give me information when I'm back. Understand?"
"Your request will be fulfilled, sir."
"It better be.."
He went past the android, and left the room, closing it behind him.
Eunwoo turned back to him, analysing his face.
Bae Jinsoo, 33 years old, Camera operator at Judy's and Sam's. Anxiety levels are too low for proper questioning.
He sat down on the chair, and began constructing a path that he could take to get some information out of him.
"You are Bae Jinsoo, am I correct?"
The beta nodded, fiddling with his fingers.
"I am Eunwoo. I will help you along the way, okay? But you need to trust me. What happened at the bar?"
"I.. I don't know. I wasn't on shift at the time of the murder I-I— I really don't know!"
"It is stated in these files that you were on your shift when the murder happened. You saw what happened on the cameras. Tell me in detail what happened." Eunwoo said.
"I don't know! I wasn't on my shift, gods sake! WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!"
Eunwoo snarled, letting the Alpha pheromones release.
The beta cowered back, whimpering.
"Tell me what happened. I want details"
"I..I-"
"Captain Myungjun requested me to get information from you. I will not fail my mission. You must start speaking, or else"
He grabbed the others hand, which made him yelp.
"I will probe your memory"
"You can't do that! I'm human, not android!"
"I'm an advanced prototype, built with commands that let me delve into a human brain. I will travel through your memory, I will gather every single moment of your life in 0.7 seconds. Either you tell Captain upfront what happened. Or I will make you forcefully tell us"
He scanned his anxiety levels, and was pleased to see that they were at 80% now.
"I don't know shit! Leave me alone!" Jinsoo cried, and he heard another snarl, which made him curl up on the chair.
"I know you are lying, Jinsoo. You were on shift. If you don't tell me what happened, I will start probing your memory!"
"Don't touch me, please! Fine, I'll tell you all I know! I'll tell you all I know, just don't hurt me, please!"
Eunwoo hid his canines and began to control the pheromones he released, but it would take 20 minutes to calm them completely.
"I am pleased you decided to co-operate, Mr.Bae. Captain Myungjun will be here soon."
He got up, and left the room, locking it as he left.
Myungjun walked in just in time, looking a bit more relaxed than earlier.
He noticed Eunwoo leaving the room.
"Well? Did you-"
His nose picked up the pheromones, making him cower back just a little, but he regained his confidence in a mere second.
"Is there a problem, Captain?"
"What? No- anyway, did you get him to confess?"
"Yes. He is awaiting your arrival, Captain"
"Great. Thanks"
He pushed past him and went back into the interrogation room, in shock when the beta immediately started to spill information.
Eunwoo listened, a green light flickering gently as he watched the scene unfold smoothly.
