*Long update*
Isha felt a knot in her stomach.
Agastya stood up and turned his back towards her.
"Neha naam hai uska. Mere sath college me thi. Hum dono sath me doctor bane the" He started telling. "She was married when we met"
Isha widened her eyes.
"What!" Isha exclaimed.
"Yeah. She was married. I met her when we were in 4th year of our bachelor's degree. It was love at first sight for me. I was a very shy person I never dared to speak. She used to be very happy go lucky kind. Hamara ek group tha jaise tum logoka hai. Hum sab baat kar rahe the tab usne bataya ki wo married hai. Her husband was a local businessman in Dehradun. My heart was crushed "
Isha felt bad.
" Her husband was abusive. Wo use maarta tha, rape karta tha. Phir bhi wo itni positive thi apne life me. Pata nahi kya tha jiske bharose wo apni life ji rahi thi. Main uski jagah hota toh nahi reh pata."Agastya said" We became friends. Wo mere sath aur main uske sath bahot khush hote the. We used to laugh and tease each other. We were in love par wo shaadi shuda thi yeh baat hamesha mere dimag me thi. Mujhe gussa aata tha uske husband pe. I used to hate him. Wo use itna bura treat karta tha par Neha kabhi use kuch nahi kehti thi. Roj alag ghaav hota tha uske upar because he used to beat her"
"I tried telling her that we can get out of this as soon as we become doctors. Tab tak ka wait tha. Uska pati use doctor bana raha tha kyu ki use aur paise chahiye the jo wo kama sakti thi. Hamne plan banaya ki bhaag jayenge. Mumbai aayenge. Mujhe pata tha mere family me bhi yeh sab accept karne me problem hoga par wo log kar lete. Mamma knew about her aur wo toh mil chuki thi usse. Bas unhe yeh nahi pata tha uski shadi ho gayi hai"
Isha was listening very carefully. Agastya was pouring his heart out.
"We became doctors. Hame degree mil gayi aur hamara plan successful hone hi wala tha ki uske husband ko hamare bareme pata chal gaya..."

"Agastya you have to come. Wo mujhe maar dalega" Neha cried over phone.
"Main aa raha hoo" Agastya was driving.
"Usne mujhe bahot mara hai. Maine bahot koshish ki use rokne ki par nahi rok payi" Neha cried.
"It's okay Neha. I am coming. Aaj toh uska hisab kar hi dete hai" Agastya was determined.
"Tum bas mujhe lene aana.. Please.. Don't let me die.. Please don't let me die.. I am waiting Agastya..." She said.
Agastya was about to reply when he heard a loud band followed by her scream.
"Neha?" Agastya said "Nehaa can you hear me??"
"Nahi" He heard her husband's voice "Maine uske sar pe danda maaara hai ab wo jinda nahi rahegi"
"How dare you" Agastya screamed "Tumhara dimag kharab hai? Tum pagal ho?"
"Haan main pagal hoo" He replied "Use yeh pata tha. Tumhare sath ishq ladane se pehle use sochna chahiye tha ki main uska pati hoo"
"Listen. Agar wo mar gayi toh main tumhe jinda nahi chhodunga. Use abhi lo aur hospital le jao. Shanti se socho ki agar wo mar gayi toh tum jail jaoge ya mere hath se maroge" Agastya threatened.
"Main le ja raha hoo use. Par hospital nahi, nadi ke pas. Pani me fenk dunga phir tum dhundte rehna" He disconnected.
Agastya widened his eyes. He started driving towards river. He was getting restless.
"Kaise bhi karke use yeh karne se rokna hoga. Neha ko hospital le jana hoga" Agastya was saying. His car was racing fastly. Road was almost empty
"I am coming Neha. I won't let you die" Agastya was saying. Suddenly an another car turned on the road and Agastya couldn't control his car.
Both cars crashed into each other and Agastya felt his car turning upside down.
Agastya opened his eyes after 24 hours. He was devastated. What happened to Neha? Was she dead? He wanted to ask but all his friends were already gone after receiving their degrees. His parents wouldn't know.
"Papa" Agastya said.
"Don't worry son. You're okay" His father told.
"Papa what about the other car?" Agastya asked.
"Usme do log the. Ek aadmi gadi chala raha tha aur uski biwi thi. Aadmi toh mar gaya par biwi jinda hai uski" Abhimanyu told.
Agastya felt a big knot in his stomach. He realised that it could be Neha's husband but he wanted to make sure. He looked everywhere and found that he was in his college's hospital. He knew all the staff, nurses and doctors so decided to ask.
"Wo Neha hai Agastya" A doctor told him "Par wo jyada der jinda rahegi aisa lagta nahi hai. She's in coma already"
Agastya felt his life turning upside down. He was so shocked that he couldn't even react.
"Wo coma se uthegi aisa lagta nahi hai abhi. Shayad kuch mahine ya kuch saal baad wo uth jaye ya phir uthe hi na" Doctor told "Life support system pe kab tak jinda rahegi?"
"I won't let her die doctor. I can't let her die" Agastya said.
"Agastya it's not your fault" Doctor told "Uski injuries alag hai wo accident ki wajah se nahi hui"
"Main Neha ko marne nahi de sakta" Agastya wasn't listening
"Uske uthne ke chances kam hai Agastya" Doctor said.
"Par hai na? Wo uth sakti hai" Agastya said. "Mujhe usse milna hai"
Doctor made him sit on a wheelchair and took him to meet Neha.
Agastya saw Neha and broke down. Doctor told all nurses to leave those two alone. Everyone went. Agastya was crying helplessly.
"I am sorry Neha. I was supposed to help you" Agastya caught her hand "Please uth jao. We will go to Mumbai. We will find a good college for post graduation. We will get married. Please uth jao"
She wasn't responding. All he could hear was beeping of life support machine.
"Neha please" Agastya was crying "Neha I love you. I can't live without you"
Suddenly all the machines started beeping fastly. Doctor came in. Agastya saw that her pulse were going weak. Nurse took him out of the room but he could still see doctors trying to get her stabled.
Agastya was so scared that he couldn't think of anything else. He closed his eyes and folded his hands.
"Bhagwan please. Please Neha ko kuch mat hone dena. If she survives, I will wait for her to wake up. I won't marry someone else. I will not have any other woman in my life. Please don't let her die" Agastya said.
"Neha I will wait for you to wake up. Please don't go. Please Neha. I promise I'll wait for you. I am waiting for you Neha don't go" Agastya Promised "Chahe jitne bhi saal lage I'll wait for you. I am yours Neha please"
At the same time doctors were able to find pulse and she started stabilizing. Agastya couldn't believe. He calmed himself down and took a long breath.
"Seems like she has some unfinished business here" Doctor came out "She's still in coma but she's stable"
"Thank god" Agastya said "Thank you.."

Isha kept looking at the floor. Agastya was looking out of the window.
"Wo coma se bahar aayi hi nahi. Jitne din wo coma me rahegi utne hi uske uthne ke chances kam ho jayenge aisa sab bolte hai. Medically wo baat sahi hai" Agastya told "But I believe she'll wake up"
"I believe uss din she was about to go. Uski aatma ne uska sharir chhod hi diya tha but she went back. She went back because I promised that I'll wait" Agastya said.
Isha didn't know what to say.
"Maine wapis usi college se MD kiya. Main gynecologist bana. Tab tak usi hospital me tha main uske sath" Agastya told "Main wapis aaya Mumbai kyu ki ghar me nahi bata sakta tha. Ghar me maine mamma ko bol diya ki wo nahi rahi ab"
"Ab agar maine apna promise tod diya toh wo mar jayegi Isha" Agastya said "I was wrong. Mujhe pehle se hi tumse dur rehna chahiye tha. Mujhse galati hui hai"
"Itna sab kuch hua hoga aapke sath aisa bilkul nahi laga tha" Isha said "Aap itne acche se baat karte the. Sab itna accha tha"
"Haan. Uss trek pe friends mujhe jabardasti le gaye the. Main waha tumse mila aur sab badal gaya. Maine jis waqt tumhe dekha.. Bahot saalo me pehli baar waisi feeling aayi. Main phirse tumse mila uss raat and I couldn't stop myself from flirting. Maine apne aap ko samjhaya aur wo trip jaldi khatam ki par phir maine hospital join kiya aur waha tum thi.. " Agastya said" I was happy after seeing you again but then Sumedh came there and I got to know who you actually are"
"Yeah. The girl who was betrothed to your brother" Isha sighed.
"No" Agastya looked at her "The girl who was betrothed to me" He said.
Isha gave a confused look to him.
"When I completed my MD, I came back to Mumbai. I never wanted to but papa and mamma forced me. They told me that they want me to get married to you. I knew about you but I didn't know that you were chosen for me. Sabko lagta tha ki tum aur Sumedh ek age ke ho toh tum dono ki shaadi hogi "
Isha was frozen.
" Papa ne mujhe bataya ki unhone hamesha hi mujhe aur tumhe sath me dekha hai. Main gussa ho gaya. Maine kaha aapko pehle hi bata dena chahiye tha. Ab tak wo aur Sumedh sath me bade hue ho aur wo bhi yeh sochte hue ki unki shadi hogi. I genuinely thought tum dono sath me hoge. Papa ko bharosa tha ki aisa kuch nahi hai"
"Aisa kuch tha bhi nahi" Isha said.
"Toh maine tay kiya main Pune me job karunga aur pata lagaunga. Main toh shadi nahi kar sakta tha isliye maine socha ki tum aur Sumedh sath me honge toh thik hai warna main waha reh ke tum dono ko ek karunga aur tum dono ki shadi ho jaye isliye papa ko manaunga" Agastya told.
She dropped her mouth "What? Itni sab planning kar ke aaye the aap?"
"Haan. Phir maine Nikita aur Sumedh ko dekha. Wo dono bahot khush the. I had to drop my plan aur upar se hum dono bhi itna accha bond kar rahe the. I got distracted. I was happy around you. But when Nikita left him I got another chance. Maine tum dono se jhoot bola ki gharwale serious ho rahe hai. You guys bought it. I finally thought sab jaisa maine socha tha waisa hoga but I wasn't happy"
" Kyu? Aap toh wahi chahte the phir kyu? " Isha asked.
" Because I was in love. I was in love with you" Agastya confessed.
Isha gasped. She couldn't believe her ears. Agastya was confessing his love for her. She was dying to hear this from him and he was finally saying it.
"I made a mistake of falling in love with you" Agastya said "Aur uss raat main dar gaya. I thought agar tumhare sath raha toh apne aap ko control nahi kar paunga isliye main nikal gaya waha se"
Isha was crying. She had happy tears in her eyes. He finally confessed that he loved her.
"I feel guilty for loving you Isha. Main Neha ka hoo" Agastya said "Main Neha se kiye hue promise se bandha hua hoo. Main tumse shadi nahi kar sakta"
Isha's happiness was short lived. Topic was so sensitive that she couldn't even say him to forget Neha.
"Agastya..." Isha said.
He was stunned. For the first time she was calling him with his name. Isha was silently crying. Agastya was feeling very bad for her. She went ahead and kept her hands on his shoulders.
"I will never come between you and your promise. I love you way too much to tell you to forget her. Your happiness means everything to me. I am happy that you love me and my feelings aren't one sided. If this is your decision then I am with you. I'll always be with you no matter what" Isha said with heavy voice.
Agastya hugged her tightly "I am so sorry Isha. Mujhme feelings hote hue bhi main kuch nahi kar sakta hoo. I love Neha. I won't be able to forget her and I certainly can't be with you because that way I'll break my promise and she would die"
"Sach me?" She asked "Do you really think she'll die?"
"I believe she will. She's holding on to a thread. That thread is my promise and if I break it, she's gonna die. Pata hai uss raat se hi uski tabiyat achanak se kharab ho gayi hai. She's stable for now. One more mistake from my side and she'll leave me" Agastya said firmly.
Isha nodded "If you believe, then I believe it too" She said.
Agastya smiled "I am happy that you understand"
