Gong Yoo should be studying for the university selection, but his mind keeps on wandering around the girl who was curently outside his bedroom window hanging the laundry.
Why everything that Ye Jin does looked so mesmerizing lately?
"Ehem!" his mom suddenly appeared at the door, "I'm sorry did I interrupt your study? Or you just sat there watching Ye Jin all this time?" teased Gong Yoo's mother knowingly.
Gong Yoo blushed while pretending to write something on his notebook. His mom entered the room, smiled teasingly watching his son's reaction, "Did she get prettier lately...?"
"Errr... I think she was always pretty...." admitted Gong Yoo with low voice.
"Ooookaaaay....." His mom nodded agree.
"But don't make any wrong asumptions, okay! I just consider her as a sister!" Gong Yoo felt the need to clarify.
His mom giggled, "I know thaaaat... I wasn't even planning to propose Ye Jin to become your wife anytime soon anyway...."
Gong Yoo stared at his mom dumbfounded, Proposing? Ye Jin? As his wife? Gong Yoo marrying Ye Jin? His face got redder and redder along with his wild imagination.
His eomma opened her mouth to tease further but the sound of doorbell interrupted her. She ran to the front door hastily to see who was coming.
His mom made a ruckus the moment she opened the door, made Gong Yoo wondered who was this special guest. His question answered shortly after, when Hyun Bin's gloomy face appeared through his bedroom door.
Gong Yoo's mom tailing behind, looking bewildered since Hyun Bin never once came to their home during these 17 years of his life.
"You? What a surprise! May I know why did you decided to finally set your feet to my humble abode?" Gong Yoo sat uptight unconsciously.
Hyun Bin glanced around the bedroom awkwardly, taking sight of Gong Yoo's bedroom that he never visited before.
"Come sit, let me get you a drink." Gong Yoo pat the bed and then ushered his still bewildered mom to the kitchen to get Hyun Bin some drink and snack.
Hyun Bin nodded wordlessly. His eyes examined his surrounding, observing every details filling in his cousin's bedroom.
Above his desk, there was a bookshelf and some pictures. Hyun Bin smiled noticing some pictures from their childhood. Some sport medals hanged on the photo frames, and there were also some pictures from Gong Yoo and Ye Jin's childhood in between. Hyun Bin chew his jaw trying to ignore a pang of jealousy watching their closeness.
His eyes caught a movement from outside the window, and Hyun Bin walked closer unconsciously to get a clearer sight.
There outside the window, Ye Jin hanged her laundry while singing cheerfully. The wind blew a bit harder, making it difficult for Ye Jin to keep her laundry in place. Suddenly, like she sensed his gaze through the window, Ye Jin waved her hand excitedly.
"Oppa! Could you please keep eye on my laundry and make sure they won't fly away? I want to go to the store with appa just for a moment!" Ye Jin yelled at him, mistakenly took Hyun Bin as Gong Yoo.
Hyun Bin retreated immediately, hoping that Ye Jin will not realized that he is not his cousin. That girl sulked away, thinking that her oppa pretended to not hear her request. "Okay then, I won't buy you your favorite ice cream!"
Hyun Bin smiled amusedly watching her antics before wondering with ashtonishment, how come his sour mood turned so cheerful all of sudden?
"Hey, here I get you iced lemon tea and mom's sandwich," Gong Yoo emerged with a small tray. Hyun Bin nodded appreciatively.
Gong Yoo then took a seat on his chair, facing his cousin who was slurping on the lemon tea slowly, "So what's the occasion?" he asked.
"I was just hanging around this area, so I thought why not stopping by?" Hyun Bin lied.
Gong Yoo looked at him sceptically, "Come on, we both know you're a terrible liar." he chuckled.
Hyun Bin smiled bitterly, realizing that there is no use to hide his real intention in front of his cousin. "I just want to ask, how close are you with Ye Jin." he finally asked.
Gong Yoo stuttered, caught off guard by the question, "But why did you ask?"
"I just want to know." Hyun Bin shrugged, "So I know whose side are you on."
"But I am neutral! You're both my family." answered Gong Yoo.
"So she is a family too for you?" Hyun Bin squinted at him sceptically.
"Of course! And she is your family too! If only you could just stop being so stubborn for a while." Gong Yoo stood up, hands on his hips.
"Okay then, no need to be so deffensive about this." Hyun Bin took a bite of his sandwich and chewing slowly while looking at the window.
Gong Yoo followed his gaze and feeling relieved when he noticed that Ye Jin was already gone.
"If that's all you ask, can I continue studying? You can just do whatever you like, I have some comics there." Gong Yoo pointed at the small cabinet by his bed.
"Hm." Hyun Bin gulped the rest of his sandwich and stood up, "I'll just go back, my mom will be home early today."
Gong Yoo watched his cousin incredulously, "Just like that?" He asked.
"Yeah, just like that." Hyun Bin answered with straight face. And without as much as saying goodbye, he exited the bedroom with a wave.
"Such a freaky robot," grunted Gong Yoo in low voice.

Ye Jin and his step dad gawked watching Hyun Bin exited from Gong Yoo's house when their car passed him slowly.
"Was that Hyun Bin oppa...?" Ye Jin turned to his step dad.
"Last time I checked, that's his face alright..." her step dad answered jokingly.
"what was he doing at Gong Yoo oppa's place?"
Feeling the same curiosity, her dad suggested, "Maybe you should ask him later."
Half an hour later Ye Jin ran into Gong Yoo's house from the side door. "Hi auntie, is oppa here?" she asked Gong Yoo's mom without stopping.
Auntie Sun Young just nodded and waved her hand to let Ye Jin in.
Gong Yoo looked up from his notebook surprisedly when Ye Jin opened his bedroom door so suddenly.
"Was Hyun Bin oppa here?" she asked.
"Well hello to you too. Please come in and sit down." Gong Yoo quipped.
Ye Jin giggled, "Oh come on oppa, what was he doing here previously?"
Gong Yoo busied himself with his notebook, "Nothing, he was just stopping by. At least that's what he said." answered Gong Yoo short.
"Haishhh... That's so weird right? He just suddenly stopped by after all this years without any certain intention?"
Gong Yoo glanced at Ye Jin quietly, analizing what kind of answer she was expecting from Hyun Bin's visit today.
"Only him should really know what he has in mind." Gong Yoo shrugged hoping that Ye Jin will just drop this topic and stop worrying about what Hyun Bin want.
"By the way, we haven't celebrate my victory for the swimming competition yet, even though I just took the second place." Gong Yoo tried to change the subject.
Ye Jin looked up excitedly, "Ah right! We have to celebrate!"
"Have you checked the new cafe near the playground? Want to dine there? I'll pay!" Gong Yoo suggested eagerly.
"Hmmm... But we had already dined out last week... What about pizza party at home? I'll make some brownies for us..." Ye Jin offered another option.
Gong Yoo scratched his ear trying to find reason to convince Ye Jin so she will consider his offer to have dinner just between the two of them.
Unfortunately Ye Jin thought his lack of response indicated that he didn't want to burden her with baking and cleaning up after the party so Ye Jin decided to just go with her plan.
"Okay then, it's been decided. I will try to talk to dad so he will take me back to the store.." and with that, Ye Jin ran back to her house. Gong Yoo could only watched her back sadly as she exited the room.

Twenty-four hours later Ye Jin was busy mixing her brownies dough when she accidentally heard her dad talking through the phone seriously. His face looked tensed when the phone call ended.
"Was that the pizza delivery service?" Ye Jin asked, "what's with the long face?" she wondered.
His dad moved closer, smiled at Ye Jin lovingly, "Daddy's little girl has grown up so fast.. A great chef too.." he tried to change the topic.
Feeling even more suspicious, Ye Jin put down her bowl of dough and looked at her dad closely. "Did you just called Hyun Bin oppa again...?"
Her dad smiled sheepishly, glancing at his step daughter's annoyed face.
"Have I told you enough already, just let him be. Someday he will regret being stubborn like this!" Ye Jin thought her dad needs to be reminded that there is no use to keep on hoping for him to come around.
Her step dad just smiled patiently, hoping that Ye Jin will understand his need to fix things between him and his son.
"Who ordered pizzaaa...?" Gong Yoo yelled from the side door, giving the much needed distraction to save Ye Jin's dad from the girl's wrath.
Ye Jin's step dad then acted super excited for the pizza, clapping and laughing happily, much to Ye Jin's dismay.
She was about to drop the subject and continued with the dough mixing when she heard his dad grunted loudly.
Gong Yoo dropped the pizza boxes to the floor when suddenly his uncle crashed the spice rack so hard while gripping his chest before collapsing on the ground with a loud thud.
