Chapter 19
Back in Lia's house, they were all in her room, including her parents, Ochobot, and Sonobot. Lia was laid on the bed, still passed out, as she was being scanned by Sonobot. Nathalia was crying, as Andres was comforting her by hugging her and patting her back.
"Sonobot, does she need to be brought to the hospital? What if she needs medical attention?" Nathalia panicked; her voice was raised.
Andres looked at the rest of the gang, "What happened to her?" He calmly asked.
The rest of the gang were too afraid to speak up, but they know they have to. Leizel was the first one who spoke up, "She was attacked by someone whom we have been looking for quite a while. According to Boboiboy, Reverse, the enemy, followed Lia to her old school then brought her to the field. That's where the battle happened."
"Where were you guys when this happened?!" Nathalia demanded an answer which frightened all of them. "And did you guys know this will happen?!"
Fang cleared up his throat, "No, aunty. We were alerted by Boboiboy's radar senses that he would be after Lia. He tried to warn her, but Reverse arrived beforehand."
"Radar senses?" Boboiboy sighed, "It's a long story, aunty. I'm really sorry for what happened to Lia. Even us, we were surprised by the sudden attack." He lowered his head, feeling guilty.
Nathalia didn't mind what Boboiboy said, she just rushed to Lia. Sonobot was done scanning her, "Okay, I'm done. I got her results." He projected a holographic presentation of her results.
"So far, she's fine. The burnt on her skin is temporary, it just needs to be treated with something cold. It's a good thing the lightning strike didn't damage her internal organs. Her watch is fine too. She just needs to take a good rest."
"My sweet baby girl..." Nathalia cried, caressing her face. Everyone else looked at them in sadness. Andres suddenly left the room, getting the attention of Boboiboy and Fang. Even Sonobot saw what he did.
A groan was heard from Lia much to everyone else's surprise. Her eyes slowly open, "Uhh.. What happened? Where am I?" Yaya gasped, "She's awake!"
Boboiboy rushed to the bed, but he kept his distance. Of course, her mom's there, she should be the first one who'll talk to her daughter.
"Babes, are you okay? Please talk to me." Nathalia pleaded. Lia gave a faint smile, "I'm okay. I just need to eat." Her mom let out a cry of happiness then tackled her in a hug, much to Lia chuckling.
Later on, Lia was already eating her favorite meal- a McDonald's chicken sandwich, large fries, and 6 pieces of nuggets. She was eating on her bed, as the rest watched her. Leizel giggled, "You look cute. You're eating like a child."
"This is my go-to food. I really love this." Lia replied, munching on her sandwich. She turned to Ying, "By the way. Happy birthday! Sorry this happened on your special day." She pouted.
"It's okay. What's important is that you're okay." Ying smiled at her, the continued, "Are you okay? How do you feel?" She was still worried for her. "I feel a bit better. Although I still feel pain in my body. Reverse really got me back there."
Boboiboy sat on her bed, across from her. He stared at Lia, feeling guilty. Once Lia noticed him, she gave him a warm smile. "If you're going to apologize, you don't need to. I'm glad you guys arrived before he finished me."
"The moment I sensed him; I knew he was after you. I got so worried, then this happened. I'm really sorry." He lowered down his head; he couldn't even look at her. Lia sets aside her food and went to Boboiboy, she hugged him. "Aish, don't be sorry. I just told you!"
She ruffled his hair then continued, "I'm not mad. I was just surprised, you know? And of course, I was afraid. Reverse has your exact powers and your looks. I think you have to do some explaining."
Boboiboy stole a glance at the others, gesturing him to tell her the whole story about Reverse. Then he turned back to Lia, who pulled from the hug, and started telling her more about him.
After the battle with Retak'ka, Boboiboy was overwhelmed. A lot of things happened, including the revelation about Leizel's parents. After being awoken at the space hospital, he still felt the stress, despite Retak'ka being defeated.
Everyone else rejoiced at his awakening, I mean, who wouldn't be? Boboiboy was fine, that's important. As the rest bonded with the Cendawa Tribe, Boboiboy was left alone, watching them.
Was it worth it to risk his life for the galaxy? He kept on asking himself for almost every day of his life, ever since he started being a hero. He knew that whenever he battled with somebody new, his life was at risk. Almost every battle, he faints which made him question himself.
When the night fell, he went outside and took a walk. He was still thinking about his own question. He loved what he was doing; saving lives, saving power spheres, meeting new people, and protecting the whole galaxy. He knew this was his specialty, being courageous and heroic.
But was it enough for him to give up his life whenever it's at risk? He knew he could do that, well, he has been doing that with no doubt. He prioritizes others first before himself, but why does it feel weird for him? It doesn't seem fulfilling for him. Maybe 50-50.
He found himself at a forest, he sat down on a huge rock as he kept on thinking. He stared at his watch, as he started recalling the times they were at battle. He also recalled how much pressure was on him, since he is the leader of his team. With that, tears were in his eyes. He started crying hard, he was so confused.
His crying was so hard that he started being surrounded by a dark aura, his power watch started to malfunction. The lightning symbol on his watch shifted to the other symbolic elements- Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, Leaf, Light, and... Reverse.
He lets out a yell as he channeled his energy and released it. That's how Reverse was born. He looked exactly like him, the only difference was the skin color, which was pale, his eye color was scarlet red, and his clothing was dark.
Boboiboy widened up his eyes, he didn't expect he'll be releasing another version of himself. "Who are you?" Reverse gave an evil grin, "I'm you, duh. But worse, and stronger." Reverse summoned a thunder blade then attacked Boboiboy.
The next day, Boboiboy told everyone about what happened. There were mixed reactions: Ying and Yaya couldn't believe it, Fang was pissed, Leizel, Gopal, and Ochobot were worried for him.
"You made a clone?! An evil clone?! What is this Boboiboy?!" Fang scolded him. Boboiboy lowered his head, not daring to look at the rest. "I'm sorry. It happened all of a sudden."
Ochobot started scanning Boboiboy. Minutes later, he detected what was the cause. "His stress level is so high. It must have affected the power watch that ended up creating another you."
"You're stressed out? Of what?" Yaya asked. Boboiboy sighed, "Of everything, okay? A lot of things are on my plate right now, that's all." Leizel raised her eyebrow, "That's all? Boboiboy, you just created a clone of yours! An evil clone. He could be dangerous."
"He already is." Fang pointed to some of the bruises and burnt areas Boboiboy has on his skin, "The fact he attacked you last night speaks a lot. We have to take him down."
"Did he mention anything to you? Like any of his plans?" Ying interrogated. Boboiboy shook his head, "Not really. He just said he wanted to take over the galaxy."
All of a sudden, Fang's power watch rang. He answered it; Kaizo's hologram was projected. "There's an attack going on another planet. Sources said that it's Boboiboy who's doing it."
Once Kaizo saw Boboiboy with them, he widened his eyes. He was unable to speak because he was confused.
Fang sighed, "You mean the clone of Boboiboy's now attacking another planet. Yeah, we got that. Send us the coordinates. We'll be there." Kaizo was about to reply, but Fang diminishes his hologram.
Boboiboy was guilty, he knew he was responsible for this. Every time he was under stress, something bad regarding his powers happened. First, he unlocked the fire element that caused arson in the village. Then he had the water element that ended up flooding the village. And now, it happened again, much worse than before.
"We have to put an end to him."
"So you're saying that... Reverse is not an elemental form. He's another version of you, like the bad one. And you've been looking for him for years?" Boboiboy nodded, answering Lia's question.
Ochobot butt in, "Boboiboy channeled his stress into a clone, his clone. Reverse is Boboiboy, but the other side of him. Hence, they're now two different people."
"We had TAPOPS search for him as well, he wasn't found until earlier." Fang added on. "He was and will always be a threat. We had some notices that he already attacked other aliens on different planets." Lia nodded, understanding the explanation.
"But why was he after Lia?" Yaya asked Boboiboy. Boboiboy shrugged, "I don't know. He didn't tell me anything else. He just wanted to get to her." Gopal smirked, "Maybe he has a crush on her."
Leizel groaned, "Aish. He just literally attacked her and almost ended her, and you're going to say he has a crush?" Gopal raised his palms, "I was just guessing!" Ying rolled her eyes, "Whatever."
"Whatever the reason was, I'm sure he wanted something from Lia." Ochobot stated. Lia sighed as she turned to Sonobot, "Maybe he wants you. Why are you such a big deal to everyone else?!" Her frustration made Sonobot raised his palms, "How do I know?"
Yaya and Ying both slightly laughed, Boboiboy just sighed. "We just have to keep our guard up and protect Lia."
"Wait, so how do we defeat him?" Lia asked. Ochobot pointed at Boboiboy, "Well, he's the only one who could do it. It's his clone after all."
Lia widened her eyes, "What? No. Not just him! He shouldn't be left out. We'll all help him, right guys?"
Everyone else agreed with her, making Boboiboy smile. He looked at Lia, who was grinning at him, giving him a thumbs up. She pats his back, "We got you, B. You're not alone here." His smile widened, feeling comforted by Lia.
"The moment you sensed him again, just tell us. So that we won't be surprised by him anymore." Yaya told Boboiboy. "And I guess we should have a plan, you know, where we can lay out all of the possible strategies we can do so that things will be easier for us." Ying added on.
Lia nodded, biting on a chicken nugget. "Reverse has the same power as Boboiboy, and we all know he has 7 elements. If it's one of us against him, it's going to be hard. So we have to plan out our combo moves too."
"I like that!" Leizel approved, grinning. "We also have to keep on training then. Utilizing our powers more will make us stand a chance against this Reverse." Fang nonchalantly said. "As long as you will treat us food after, then sure."
Gopal's remark made everyone else laugh, well except for Fang who just rolled his eyes. "For this once, okay." Gopal gasped, then he rushed to Fang. He started shaking him, "What?! Are you serious?! Don't tell me this is a prank!"
"It will be considered a prank if you won't stop shaking me!" Fang shouted, making Gopal stop. He crossed his arms, "Dey, I already did. So, keep your word okay!" Much to Fang's annoyance, he rolled his eyes again.
"Wait!" Yaya yelled as she checked the time. It was still Ying's birthday. "Let's all sing a happy birthday for Ying." They all went on singing her a happy birthday, then talked about random things. Laughs and giggles were heard from Lia's room.
Boboiboy couldn't help but think about Reverse; he was frightened because he knew Reverse has the same powers as him, and since he is evil, for sure he's stronger. But when he looked at the rest of the gang, he knew that they would be with him at this difficult time.
He then gazed at Lia, who was joking with the others. He was happy with how she got along with others. He observed how she laughed, the way her eyes crinkled, and how she pouted when Ying teased her about something. He felt his heart fluttering.
He admired the way Lia insisted that he shouldn't be alone in battling Reverse. For someone new to all of this like her, she's very brave and wise enough to propose a plan that would help them all defeat Reverse.
He gave out a soft smile as he recalled what she said earlier. "We got you, B. You're not alone here."
Sonobot followed Andres to the bedroom. She took a peek and saw Andres, who had his back turned. He was talking to someone. The power sphere couldn't understand that much because he was speaking in Filipino; which she is not that fluent in yet but she knows some of the words.
What caught her attention was...
"Sa isa mo nalang gawin yun. Oo, kilala mo na yung tinutukoy ko."
Sonobot left and went to a vacant room. She remembered what Andres said earlier and translated it.
Just do it to the other one. Yeah, you know who am I referring to.
