The day starts with Sokka and Y/n drawing pictures off Appa
Sokka: Once we put these up, everyone will know exactly what Appa looks like in great detail!
Y/n nods his head excitedly as he continues to draw
Aang and Katara walk in
Katara: We found a printer for the pictures!
Sokka: I thought that the drawing was our job? We already have some ready to go!
Aang: Sokka that arrow is one Appa's head...
Sokka: This is his head...
Katara: Why are feet coming from it?
Y/n: Those are..his horns!
Sokka: We haven't seen him in a while okay...?
Toph: It looks just like him to me!
Sokka: Thank you, we worked...
Sokka and Y/n look at each other

Katara: Tell you what...we put up out and you guys can put up what drew too...
Aang: Well I'll be right back! I have to start putting these posters out immediately!
Aang runs outside as he immediately flies off and starts dropping posters from the sky
An entire day goes by as the next morning arrives again
Aang: No one has come to the door yet...what if no one has seen him?
Katara: It has only been a day...give it time...
Y/n walks into the room
Y/n: I checked on Joo Dee...you guys need to hear...what she said...
They all walk into the room Joo Dee is staying in
She is sitting as her breathing is a bit unsteady
Y/n: It's okay...we are here to protect you...
Joo Dee: They take us underground, to change mess with our heads! Under Lake Laogai! I remember seeing your bison!
Aang: Then we are going to do whatever it takes to get Appa back!
Toph: Finally, we can break some rules!
She earthbends the building they are in as a chunk of it is destroyed
Katara: Break the rules, not the house...
Toph: We aren't staying here after this anyway!
They start to walk off as y/n start behind
Y/n: Are you going to...leave the city?
Joo Dee: I'm not sure, but you have to save anyone in the facility...and destroy it afterward...
Y/n: Consider it done...stay safe...I hope to see you again...
Joo Dee nods her head as y/n catches up to everyone
Sokka: I saw the lake on the map! It's not too far!
They run for a while as they arrive at the lake
Sokka: Well this is it...
Aang: Where is it?
Toph: Joo Dee said it was underground remember? There's an entrance over there...
She walks over to the right as she earthbends the entrance above the surface
Katara: Let's get Appa!
They all get inside as the is dark and lit up by green crystals
Y/n looks at all the doors
Y/n: Look for Appa...there are still people...here...
Sokka: Be thorough, we don't want anyone to be left in here...
Y/n nods head as everyone runs off
He heats up his hands and starts opening doors
One by one he goes door to door and searches for anyone
He gets to a door full of women being prepared to be "Joo Dee"
Y/n quickly knocks out the Dai Lee trying to brainwash them
They all break from their trance
Y/n: Get out of here!
They all run past him as they exit the way the gang came in
Y/n is, fortunately, finding empty rooms
Until he gets to one that he almost wants to leave alone
He sees Jet being brainwashed
Y/n knocks out the Dai Lee as Jet comes to his senses
Jet: You...
Y/n: I should burn you how you did my old book...but even I'm not that heartless...come on...
Y/n cuts off the rope holding Jet down
He grabs his weapons from the corner of the room
Jet: How did you find me?
Y/n: Trust me...we weren't trying to...might as well get you out...of here...
Jet: Even after what I did?
Y/n: I don't know...are you gonna give me any reason not to?
Jet: Nah I'm with you that, let's get out of here...
Y/n: The exit is down the hall...you should see the ladder...
Jet: You aren't coming?
Y/n: Gotta find Appa...
Jet: Let me help...
Y/n: Why? You gonna burn my new notebook?
Jet: Look I'm sorry...I know I messed up but let me try to be better...
Y/n sighs
Y/n: I wish Toph were here...so I could see if you're lying...fine...come on...
They both run out and hear fighting
Y/n: They were hiding you in the last room...meaning every room has been cleared...
Jet: Then let's go help your friends...
They run into the already open door and start to help the gang fight off the Dai Lee
Y/n sees Long Feng on the back and chases him as he is blocked by several Dai Lee
Y/n: Long Feng is getting away!
Aang and Jet are able to catch up to him as y/n starts to firebend to take out the people in front of him
He catches up with them
Long Feng: Jet, The Earth King had invited you to Lake Laogai...
This triggers a response from Jet
He starts to attack Aang as Aang tries to be evasive
Aang: Jet! Stop!
Y/n runs in front of jet
He runs at y/n and stabs him with both
Y/n heats up his hands and cuts the blades only leaving the handles in Jet's hands
He takes the blades out and melts them
Aang: You're a freedom fighter Jet!
Jet comes back to his senses
In the chaos, Long Feng ran off
Jet: We can still catch up to him!
Toph, Katara, and Sokka all run in
Aang: Come on, we have to get out of here! Appa flew out earlier! I saw him!
Everyone scrambles out
Once y/n is outside he starts to get heat from the sun
Everyone backs up as he points his hand at the facility
A beam comes out of his hand as the sound follows shortly after
It explodes as everyone starts to cheer
Long Feng: You have achieved nothing!
Y/n turns his head as smoke exits the cracks on his bandages
Y/n: You are now in extreme danger...come with us to The Earth King or I will burn you slowly...
Toph: He's telling the truth by the way...
Long Feng surrenders
Sokka: Now we have to walk all the way to Earth Palace...
A roar is heard from the sky as Appa lands behind them
Everyone runs to Appa and hugs him, tears in their eyes...
Katara: We missed you Appa...
Sokka: Now I don't have to walk...
Toph: I'm sorry I let them get you bud...
Aang: You don't know how much it means to have you again buddy...
Y/n just warms up Appa as he hugs him
Jet just smiles and watches
After a bit, they all release the hug
Katara: So Jet was in there?
Sokka: Should've left him after what he did...
Toph: What did he do? He couldn't have been that bad...
Aang: He burned y/n's old notebook...the one y/n has now is the second one...
Toph: Ohhh, I'm so ready to chuck a rock at him now...
Jet: I'm ready to receive any punishment you deem justifiable...
Y/n tosses him his new notebook and something to write with

Sokka: Y/n he could throw it in the water or something!
Y/n: Sign it Jet...
Jet smiles as he writes his name down and tosses it back

Jet: Nah, I actually need some time to clear my head...
They all get on Appa alongside Long Feng
Toph: I still say we should have thrown a rock at him...

They arrive at the palace as y/n keeps a blade up to Long Feng's throat as the guards let them by
Sokka: And here I thought that we were gonna have to fight...
Y/n: Unless they wish to see...Long Feng dead...I advise against it...
They continually walk to the main room with no trouble except for the occasional side-eye from the Dai Lee
Y/n kicks down the throne room door and throws Long Feng at The Earth King's feet
Earth King: What is the meaning of this!
Toph: Tell him, Long Feng...
Y/n: And lie...I really want you to lie...make my day...
Long Feng: I have been using you to control Ba Sing Se...from the shadows...the people here don't know we are at war...
Earth King: Put him in jail right now! And search his room for anything regarding this issue!
He is taken away
Earth King: Thank you all for getting this information to me, I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to be get me with everything Long Feng was throwing at you...we are at war with fire nation...
Sokka: Yes but we have information that can change the tide of the war...
Earth King: Then do tell...
Sokka:2 months from now there will be a solar eclipse, the sun with be covered up...the fire nation will be defenseless and unable to bend

Several guards come in with a small box
Earth Guard: These might be of interest...these seem to be data on all of you...
The Earth King opens it up and starts to take out papers
Earth King: Toph Bei Fong...
The guards pass it to Aang who passes it to Toph, who passes it to Katara
She opens it and reads it
Katara: It's your mother...she's here and she wants to see you!
Toph: He intercepted letters from home? That's just sad...
Aang is handed a scroll
Aang: It's from the Eastern Air Temple!
Katara: Is there something for me and Sokka?
Earth King: Not in this box...
Earth Guard: There was this intelligence report...
Sokka is handed a scroll as Katara looks at it as well...

Everyone seems happy, as y/n just smiles under his bandages on for everyone
However, another, the larger box is brought in

Y/n laughs a bit as he opens the box itself

His body freezes up as his hands shake

The bandages all over his face burn immediately as the carpet he stands on does the same, his eyes filled with pure anger

He walks up to Toph as he takes out his notebook

She punches his shoulder
He starts to hug Katara, Toph, Aang, and Sokka individually
He has tears in his eyes, because of a combination of leaving his friends and the state Azula is in
Darkness starts to set in as he runs to where Azula is
He knocks on the door as Ty Lee answers
Ty Lee: Where have you been!
Y/n: Look, I will explain everything later, just please let me help her...
Ty Lee sighs as she steps aside
Mai is inside as well
Mai: Y/n...
Y/n opens a door as sees Azula sitting in front of a mirror
Her hair and makeup is completely messed up as shattered glass surrounds the room
There are papers everywhere, presumably papers she wrote and messed up on...
Azula notices him in the mirror
Azula: Ah yes, you will not fool me this time fake y/n! Just like mother was never there either!
Y/n: Azula...I'm so sorry but I'm here now...
Azula: Shut up! Shut up!
She grabs a piece of glass and throws it at y/n
He doesn't move as it enters his thigh
This seems to make her realize the y/n in front of her is real
She covers her face
Azula: Don't look at me! Not like this!
He takes the glass out of his thigh as he slowly walks towards her
She gently grabs her arms covering her face as he pulls them aside to see her face
Tears run down her face
She hugs him and he just sits there and does the same
Azula: I thought you'd forgotten about me...I thought you didn't care...
Y/n: I wasn't there for you...I let you down...you needed me...I will stay by your side...
He holds her tighter...
Y/n: Let's get you cleaned up...
He picks her up so she doesn't step on any glass and sits her down
Azula: There are no mirrors...
Y/n: You kidding? I've been doing this for a long time...
It is silent for a while as y/n walks around Azula multiple times to get different angles
Azula: About what I said outside the drill that day...
Y/n: I pondered on it for quite some time...I never regret the time we spent together...do not think otherwise...
He finishes her hair
Y/n: I know you like to sleep with your hair done but not necessarily any make-up...understandably so...you look good with it on or off...
Azula smiles a bit and sighs
Azula: I already feel so much better...you being here makes me feel better...
They walk back to the main room and see Ty Lee and Mai
Ty Lee: Azula are you okay?
Azula: Yes, y/n has made me feel better...
She sits down as y/n stands closely by her side

Ty Lee runs off quickly and comes out with a paper that she hands to y/n

Azula: My father is ashamed of what he has caused in the war and wishes to end it, is that so bad?
Y/n: The idea is great, it's the person proposing the idea I have a problem with...

Azula: He just wants things to go back to normal...is that so bad?

Azula: For the peace treaty, he needs The Earth King, The Head Cheifs of The Water Tribe, and The Avatar to represent the Air Nation as well the Avatar themselves...but he wants to see you and Zuko again too...
Y/n sighs a bit
Y/n: If your father is lying, I will not spare him from a fight...
Azula: And if he is lying then I will join you...
Y/n kneels in front of Azula and bows his head to her
Y/n: Then your requests shall now be my command...I am at your disposal as your bodyguard and protector...if you will accept?

"You must stay, if you leave now you may not be able to enter the Avatar State again!
He jumps off anyway

Azula: Very good Y/n...know we need to find Zuzu and Uncle...they are to be serving tea to the Earth King...we will intercept them outside of the throne room...
Azula and Y/n both wait outside of Throne Room as she said and not too long after, Iroh and Zuko roll up with a cart of tea
Zuko: Azula! Y/n?
Y/n: Azula requests that you come with us back home, your father wishes to see us...
Iroh: Y/n do not listen! You are being led into a trap!
Y/n: Ozai is proposing a peace treaty...
Iroh: And you believe that?!
Y/n: I believe in Azula's word...I will trust her judgment...
Iroh: Zuko run!
Iroh starts to breathe fire as Azula stands behind y/n
He puts his hand up as he absorbs the fire
As it clears Iroh and Zuko are gone
Azula: After them!
Y/n nods his head as he runs down the hall and runs into Zuko
Zuko: I am tired of running!
Azula: Well seeming how you've stopped I'm assuming you are going to foolishly fight?
Y/n: Zuko, join Azula and me...we must return home...

Y/n knees Zuko in his stomach, knocking him out

He picks up Zuko

Azula: Take him to where you took your other friend...stay and guard, Iroh will return...

Azula: I will watch The Earth King with Ty Lee and Mai...
Y/n nods his head as he walks off with Zuko
He goes to a hidden entrance underground as Zuko wakes up
Zuko: Y/n?
He lays Zuko on the ground as Katara runs up
Katara: Y/n what are you doing! Why are you working with Azula! She has been attacking us!
Y/n: She needed me...
Katara: We need you!
Zuko gets up slowly

Y/n: I've been told to wait for Iroh to arrive, and hopefully Aang as well...we have matters to discuss...
Aang Earthbends into the room with Iroh by his side

Azula walks into the room as well

Y/n: Yes...all nations have suffered from this war, we wish to end it...
Aang: You've seen what the fire nation has done!
Y/n: I've seen what the other nations have done as well!
Aang: What are you talking about?
Y/N: Ba Sing Se was supposed to be safe and look what it turned out to be! Manipulative and being lied to by its own government, when we tried the get Pakku to teach Katara to Waterbend he wouldn't just because she is a girl! We had to fight him nearly to the death just to get him to do so! And you...the Avatar themself...
A couple of tears go down his face
Y/n: You went behind my back and got info for the war in the library! Now it is closed to most people because you lied! The Fire Nation isn't perfect, but what I will tell you that our people know there is a war outside the walls and aren't being lied to about that, and anyone who has the determination to be a Bender can! It is encouraged, not looked down upon!
Aang looks away from y/n
He doesn't know what to say
Y/n: And during this eclipse, you plan to attack, what about the areas that are too far for us to control, unnecessary conflict and fighting! Everyone has a right to their bending, it is a gift! And being a firebender is enough for entire groups of people to hate you! No questions asked, no context, nothing except for that basis alone!
Aang: And what if we join you and it is a trap! We will be surrounded from every angle by tanks, ships, and soldiers!
Y/n: Then we can fight back...together...
Aang: I won't let you put everyone in danger...
Y/n: Then we must go our separate ways...
Aang: The Guru was right...
Y/n creates a large flame in his hand
Y/n: Our ideals clash...
Aang surrounds himself with green crystals around the room
It starts to glow from the inside as they shatter open, Aang is in the Avatar State
Azula stands behind y/n as Katara does the same with Aang
Azula grabs y/n's hand as lightning appears in his hand instead of fire
He looks at her as she nods her head
Y/n runs at Aang with the lighting channeled in his hand
He dodges multiple elements' attacks as he jumps into the air with help of his fire and strikes Aang in his chest
He is blasted back as Azula slows him down
Katara catches Aang as he falls
Y/n is hit by a giant fireball from Iroh and he turns around and starts to fight
Katara gets Aang away from the area
Azula helps y/n as well
And finally, Zuko comes to the aid of Y/n and Azula
Iroh sighs as he puts his hands up and surrenders
Ty Lee and Mai run down with Dai Lee Guards
Ty Lee: Your plan worked Azula, they were willing to help...but The Earth King and the other two got away...
Azula: A matter for another time, take Iroh away...
Iroh is taken away by Dai Lee
Azula: Great job you two...just like old times...with the three of us we shall be unstoppable...
Zuko: I betrayed uncle...
Azula: He betrayed us...not the other way around...when you two return home you will be seen as war heroes...
Zuko: But father asked us both to return with Avatar...we will both show up empty-handed...what if he doesn't restore our honor...?
Azula: He doesn't need to...you've both restored your honor today...
Outside with Katara carrying Aang on top of Appa, the others wait...
Katara: Go!
Sokka: Wait? You're kidding, right? Not without y/n! He's still out here, if he isn't coming we need to tell him we're leaving!
Katara: He's...not helping us anymore! Now go Appa! Yip Yip!
Appa doesn't want to fly off without y/n either
Toph: But y/n told me he would come back! He didn't lie to me when he said that! I checked!
Katara: We need to go!
Appa roars as he flies off hesitantly
Sokka: Y/n...
Toph just silently cries as she holds y/n's notebook tight
Y/n exits the underground area and stands where he said he would meet Toph earlier
He sees Appa in the distance as he puts his hand up a couple of tears roll down his face
Y/n: I'm...so sorry...
Azula walks outside
Azula:When the war ends, they will be thanking us...
She grabs his hand
Azula:Now come along...we shall celebrate this day with Zuko,Ty Lee and Mai...
Y/n:Of course Princess Azula...
