Blood
Yamaguchi was astonished when the man run to him with a knife on his hand. His feet was glued on the ground, his eyes widen. Akinari grab his neck and pulled him closer and he heard a faint tearing noise coming from his lower body that makes him pushes back.
"Ack-" Yamaguchi was in total shocked that he didn't even feel the pain when the knife penetrate his body. Everything happened so fast. Who knows that this thing will happen?
"Die! Die!" Akinari screamed with every phrase he stab him. Yamaguchi stopped him by grabbing his hand. The knife was still buried in him but he needs to fight or he'll die right now in this man's hand.
"Let go!" The man pushes the boy but he didn't let go. The pain... was undescribable, he can't find any words to describe what he feels. "You fucker!" The man yelled as people started to noticed them.
That was a red flag for the Akinari, without no choice. The man twist the knife inside the Omega's body causing much more pain that he released his hold on the Omega giving it all the freedom to withdraw the knife. He feels something cold and hot when the Omega pulled the knife. Akinari then pushes him away before he flew away. He looked back, he's still mad but decided to run off after seeing Yamaguchi's friends.
Yamaguchi stumbled on his feet, his hand trying to put pressure on the wound. His knee was so weak that it can't carry his weight anymore. He can hear a few voices from the side calling an ambulance and he can hear Hinata's voice from a far. The pain in his stomach became unbearable when pain finally kicks in and he started to panic, his eyes became teary when his brain finally acknowledge the pain. Burning sensation, searing pain and sweats grow inside his body from adrenaline.
Yamaguchi walk on the side and slide down on the wall, his eyes was blurry but he's sure there are three people on the side trying to call with their phones. He can see Hinata and the others crossing the street and running to his direction.
"Y-Yama..." Hinata can't finished his name as soon as he saw Yamaguchi sitting on the side, leaning on a wall for support. Hinata's hand covered his mouth in shocked as he saw the boy sitting on his own puddle of blood. His eyes look around for the possible person who would do this but he saw no one.
"Kenma! Apply pressure on his wound." It was Akaashi who immediately recover from shock and put in action. The said omega run to Yamaguchi and tried to take the work on applying pressure on his wound so it will stop bleeding.
"Why are you bleeding so much?" Kenma asked as he released a distressed pheromones. Akaashi on the other hand was loosing his composure as he tried to call for ambulance. Hinata was still on his feet looking down at boy with complete horror.
"H-H stabbed me multiple times..." Yamaguchi took a shallow breath before continuing "and... twisted the knife." Yamaguchi answered as he feels dizzy from loss of blood. His breathing was uneven to the point that it's so hard to breath from his nose. His mouth was half open as he tried to gather oxygen for his body. His throat feels rough and it's so painful like he really need to drink water.
"Bastard." Kenma murmured as he look at the wound who wouldn't stop from bleeding. Yamaguchi shut his eye and a tears started rolled down his cheeks. He bit his lips as he tried to bear the pain.
"Hinata..." Yamaguchi's voice was breathy when he called the Omega's name who flinched after hearing his voice. The air was mixed with distress, scared, panicking and agony that the people around created.
Hinata then started to cry, running closer to boy and kneel in front of him, not minding the blood. "Y-Yamaguchi... Ano–just, d-don't sleep." The boy look at him with pleading eyes. His voice cracked and his eyes are red from crying. "S-Shō, and T-Tsukki! If you feel l-like giving up, just... just... think of them." His voice betrayed all his word, his voice was full of hopelessness totally opposite of what he is saying.
He knew... he's not that dumb, from all this blood loss, from his pale face from his tired eyes and from his wound he knew that... there's only a little chance that the Omega will survive. A minute just passed by and he's already this worst?!
Yamaguchi took a careful and shallow breath before speaking. "C-Can you call, Tsuki-kishima?" Yamaguchi asked with a small smile. He knew too that he won't last long, his body was tired. It's so hopeless for him. Just a small breathing hurts and even talking doubles and triples the pain. If not because of adrenaline rush he'll be crying in pain right now.
"Don't t-talk." Even Kenma's voice crack, he's not that close with the Omega but he's too kind and too pure. He's someone you can go and asked for something and he wouldn't asked anything in return. He was just glad to help you that's why, it pains him to seem him at this state.
"No." Hinata shook his head repeatedly. He know that if he grant his request, he'll leave him forever. And imagining a life without a friend who grow with him is just devastating and he can't accept it. No, he won't accept the fact that his friend died. "If I did, Y-You'll leave us." Hinata started to wail.
Yamaguchi stared as his friend as flashback of their highschool day started to play upon his eyes. How they dreamed on naming their baby after each other or how they play on the side of the river in the afternoon, playing volleyball until night. It just, makes him smile or even how they promised to attend each other's wedding and it sucks to broke his promise for the second time.
"Please?" Yamaguchi asked he tried to reach his friend but his movement caused him to cough blood.
He doesn't care about the pain anymore. He just want to hear his family's voice he just want to heart Shō giggles one more time, he wants to hear Tsukishima's 'I love you'. He wants to live a life with them so why did this happened? Why him... Why now when he's finally happy? "Yamaguchi!" Hinata hold Yamaguchi's shoulder to keep him in balance.
"This is bad." Kenma said, applying pressure on the wound no longer works. "If this continue..." Kenma look at Hinata's eyes, his eyes was serious and determined. "You should let him talk to them." Kenma's voice slowly fades away as he finish his word.
"The ambulance is on their way. Hold on Yamaguchi, just two or more minutes. Please hold on." Akaashi kneel in between Kenma and Hinata. Yamaguchi smiled despite all the blood coming from his mouth. His wounds hurts as hell too. He can't bare any this pain for another two minutes.
Hinata looked down his eyes was dead as he reach for his phone and dialed Tsukishima's number. His sobs become louder when he heard Yamaguchi cough and Kenma telling him soothing words and Akaashi telling him to hold on for his family.
Finally, Tsukishima answered. Hinata just covered his mouth and cried silently. Hinata put the phone in loud speaker and putting it closer to the omega.
"Shrimp, what? I'm busy right now. Shō won't stop crying." Tsukishima angrily said, a crying baby can be heard on the background.
"Kei..." Yamaguchi's voice is weak. There's a tear every time he blinks. Hearing Tsukishima's annoyed voice is enough to make his heart tighten in sadness.
"Yams?" There was a paused. "Thank god. Here, Shō, mama is here." From the tone of he's voice you can tell that he's smiling. Tsukishima place the phone on Shōichi's ear. On the other side Shōichi immediately stopped crying after hearing his mama's voice. His eyes widen like he saw something pretty and tried to search for the voice.
"Mamamamam." Shō murmured before they heard a giggling baby making every omega's heart pierce in pain, especially Yamaguchi's. Oh god! Please give me more time to be with this two...
"Yes...mama." Yamaguchi take a deep breath, nodding as a small smile appeared on his face. The people on the other line was clueless on what's happening but maybe it's okay for now, he can talk to them properly.
"Hey, have fun with your little get reunion with Hinata." Tsukishima yelped when Shōichi tries to stole the phone. "I'll take care of our son." Tsukishima said softly. Yamaguchi's tears started to piled on his eyes. His heart is clenching, he doesn't want to leave this man again.
He wants to wake up with him on his side as their baby cry. He wants to eat breakfast with him and their son. He wants to celebrate their birthdays together. He wants to watch their son grow up a good guy... He still want to... marry this alpha.
"Tsukki... I-...I don't want to d-die." His voice was raspy and weak. He was pleading like if he said it to Tsukishima he can do something about it. He's fighting the urge to close his eyes and finally rest. Tears of sadness started to mix with his own blood, seriously? It's really true when they say nothing last forever
"Die? Yams? What's happening?" The Alpha asked, confused of what's happening. He has a bad feeling about what's happening but he still tried to look at the bright side.
"R-Remember my p-parents..." Yamaguchi lean his head on the wall as he breath from his mouth, the noise of ambulance can be heard from a far. "Please, d-don't be..." Yamaguchi took another breath. His lungs is tightening because of lack of oxygen. "like them... Don't leave S-Shōichi alone..."
"What the hell is happening–"
"I love you... I love you, Tsukishima Kei." Yamaguchi whispered weakly, his eyes was half open as he stare at the dark sky. The moon was probably covered with the dark and thick clouds. Yes, The moon that always reminds him of Tsukishima. "I r-really want to m-marry you. I-I really do."
"I love you too... but Yams, tell me what's happening. I'm worried. Are you hurt? Are you okay? Are you with the others? Damn Answer me!" Tsukishima is starting to panic on the other line that even Shō are crying because of his pheromones.
Yamaguchi can feel that his consciousnesses are slowly fading. It's harder to breath and his heart and lungs keeps on tightening. He feels drained. The ambulance sirens started to became clear on his ears.
"Yamaguchi!" Tsukishima called, worried.
Let the universe... cross our path again, My Alpha. He heard his friend's panicking, calling his name but it was nonsense. Hinata didn't mind when his phone fall on the ground and shutting down just catch his friend's head when it slowly fall on the side. His hand slipped from touching his wound.
"Kei..." Yamaguchi whispered. It was Yamaguchi's last word before crossing the bridge between life and death, leaving his friend's bleeding hearts, unachieved goals and broken promises.
—I tried everything I can do to not make it cringe at all. I'm not really good at writing sad scenes but 'You must follow the plot'. I'm sorry.
