Zhongli sighs, It was one of those dreams again, he's been going so crazy lately. He goes downstairs and pours himself a glass of water.
'Just.. who is that person..?' Zhongli sighs,

It was morning, Zhongli was walking down the empty hallway to his locker, suddenly, a boy ran up to him,
'Hey! If.. if you see a teacher that says he is chasing after someone, say that he went the another way, ok? Thanks!' the boy says as he locks himself in the janitors closet, a teacher ran up to Zhongli.
'Excuse me, have you seen a running student around?' the teacher asked,
'Um.. believe he headed that way..' Zhongli pointed at the opposite direction, the teacher nodded as a thanks and runs to that direction, after the teacher left, the boy came out of the janitors closet.
'Thanks so much! Would've been caught for detention haha..' the boy thanked Zhongli, Zhongli felt a familiar aura around that student, but brushed it off, he nods and continues walking to his locker,
'Wait.' The boy said, Zhongli turns around,
'Have.. have we met before?' The boy asked,
'I was actually wondering the same thing..' Zhongli smiles a little,
'May I know your name?' the student smiles,
'Ah.. My name is Zhongli.'
'I'm Tartaglia, but you can call me Ajax!' He smiles,
The two quickly became friends, despite the teacher coming back and noticing them talking, and they both got in detention.
'Bruh... Mr. Pallad sucks....' Tartaglia groans in detention,
'Honestly I agree, he's too strict for his own good..' Zhongli sighs,
Then, there was an awkward silence between them..
'Can I.. tell you something?' Zhongli asked,
'Oh yeah, sure, what is it?' Tartaglia replied,
'I don't mean to sound weird, but you oddly resemble someone in the dreams I have.' Zhongli said,
'Huh? You don't say, I've been having dreams with a person that looks like you too!' Childe laughs,
'Are we somehow related in our past life?' Zhongli said,
'I dunno..' Tartaglia shrugged,
That night, Zhongli toss and turns around his bed, trying to find the answer to his dreams, but never got an answer.

Zhongli arrived at school, only to be greeted by..
'Hey Zhongli!!' Tartaglia happily waved, Zhongli waves back with a smile,
'Um.. Are you free tonight?' Tartaglia asked,
'Yes... Why?'
'Well... I wanna treat you for defending me against Mr. Pallad like that... ' Tartaglia chuckles,
'Really? Oh, there's no need-'
'Come on pleaseee? I'm treating you to Liuli Pavilion....'
'Sigh... I guess I can't turn down such a request... Very well then.'

After the date- I mean hangout, Tartaglia offers Zhongli a walk home. Not long after, they arrived.
'Thank you... For dinner' Zhongli said,
'Mhmm.. it was no problem!' Tartaglia looked into Zhongli's eyes, same did Zhongli with Tartaglia's.
They moved their faces closer and closer and then kissed. It was sudden, but they didn't want to stop.
That night Zhongli toss and turns around once again, but this time, thinking about Tartaglia. He can't get the thought of the kiss out of his head. But he was enjoying it.. just a little.

Zhongli was lying down on his table. Just daydreaming... About Ajax. Until he was interrupted.
'Um... Zhongli?' a girl's voice was heard,
'Hm?' Zhongli lifts his head up.
'C-could you meet me behind the school? I.. have something to tell you...' the girl blushes,
'Sure...?' Zhongli said,
Zhongli was making his way to the back of the school, but was in for an unexpected surprise.
As he turns the corner...
'Zhongli! Nice to see you here!' Tartaglia smiles,
'..Ajax? Why are you here?' Zhongli tilts his head,
'Hehe.. long story' Tartaglia said as he pulls Zhongli by the waist,
'Anyways... Since we're alone...' Tartaglia smirks,
Tartaglia pulls Zhongli into a passionate kiss. But then he noticed something inside Tartaglia's left pocket, a knife handle.?
Zhongli pushes Tartaglia away,'Ajax.. Is that a knife in your pocket..?'
'Shh...' Tartaglia shushed Zhongli, pulled out a bloodstained knife and threw it to the side, 'We'll talk about that later babe.' He whispers into Zhongli's ear,
Zhongli thought... Did.. Tartaglia kill that girl...? It can't be a coincidence.... But for some reason, Zhongli didn't feel creeped out at all, all he felt was in love.

Zhongli was sitting on the couch of his bed, reading a book, with his boyfriend lying down on his lap playing with his hair,
'Ajax... If my hair falls....' Zhongli glared at Tartaglia,
'But.... you're hair is so nice to touch....' Tartaglia pouted,
'Haha... Of course. Exactly what I expected from you-' Zhongli was cut off by an aggressive knock on the door, Zhongli immediately got up and opened the door, only to see two policemen.
'Excuse me sir. Have you ever seen-'
'Babe? Who's at the door..-' Tartaglia walked up to the door,
'It's him! Arrest him!' One of the cops shouted, the cops handcuffed Tartaglia and shoved him into the police car.
'Wait- what are you doing with him?!' Zhongli exclaimed,
'I'm sorry sir, I'm not sure if you're aware that, this man committed murder. We're taking him into interrogation.'
Zhongli stood there helplessly, with tears in his eyes, thinking what will he do now?
That night, Zhongli lies on his bed, toss and turns on his bed, crying, why did it happen this way.......

It was a weekend morning, not that it mattered, all Zhongli wanted to do was to lie on his bed and cry. Zhongli sat on the couch, and somehow turned on the TV. Showing the daily morning news, Zhongli then closed his eyes and lied down.
'...And now, we have reports of a police car getting crashed by a truck. More information about the police car is that the car was on it's way to the police station to interrogate a suspect of murder, Ajax Tartaglia. The people on the car is believed to have passed away..'
Zhongli gets up, shocked. No.. there's no way... His one and only true love... Dead? Zhongli was confused, shocked, and in the verge of crying more. His vision was blurry, before he knew it, he dropped onto the ground, passed out.

It was Monday, all Zhongli did was mourn about Tartaglia. But he had to move on, he decides to go back to school, but soon realises it was a big mistake.
When he arrives at school, everyone was staring at him. He didn't know what they were doing, but they were certainly whispering about something.
When he got onto his seat, he overheard a few students.
'I really can't believe he dated a murderer.'
'I know right?! They deserve to burn is hell, the good thing is at least one of them are gone.'
'Jeez.. Psychopaths... It's giving me shivers down my spine.'
Zhongli tears up, not because of the gossip, but because they reminded him about the death of his lover. He couldn't wait to go home, he had something planned, and maybe it'll help him get over Tartaglia.

Zhongli books a flight ticket, packs up and leaves his apartment. He is going to go back to somewhere that will make him feel more like home, in the countryside. His hometown, Liyue Harbor.
There, no one knows about the news, and are many ways of getting over his dead lover. It was a rough flight, but he didn't care, his life has been a rough flight itself. He sighs.

It's.. been 4 months already...? Zhongli thought.
He sighs, he's tried everything to get over Tartaglia, including getting drunk and making out with some stranger. Tears escape from his eyes.
He gaze at the stars on the bridge. It was mesmerising.
'I think it's time...' he said to himself,
He climbs onto the handle of the bridge and leans his body forward. And let himself fall into the ocean. Nobody cares, and nobody will if I died.
He starts sinking in the water, he smiles.
I can finally be with you, my beloved Ajax.

Zhongli opens his eyes. Seeing one last dream.
He and someone were kissing passionately.
'Zhongli Xiansheng, if anything, you'll always love me, right?' Childe said,
Zhongli found himself beside that ginger haired man on a bed, holding hands.
'Yes... Yes I will... Ajax.'
Childe smiles, Zhongli smiles back, but then suddenly, Zhongli starts coughing,
'Zhongli!'

Zhongli opens his eyes... His vision was blurry, but he could hear the sound of the waves, and he knows that he was looking at the night sky.
He looks to his left....
'Zhongli!' that person smiles,
Were his eyes deceiving him? There's no way....
'A-Ajax..?' he muttered out,
That person smiles, 'You really thought taken your own life because of me would be helpful..' he chuckles,
'Ajax!' Zhongli hugs Tartaglia,
'Ahaha... Calm down... Maybe I should've contacted you to tell you I faked my own death..'
'Y-you.... YOU DID WHAT?!' Zhongli exclaimed,
'Um.... Yeah, no matter what happens just know that I will never leave you.' Tartaglia smiles,
'I...I can't stay mad at you! You're alive..!' Zhongli immediately kissed Tartaglia and climbs on his lap,
'I'll... Love you.. forever.' Zhongli smiles,
'I know...I love you too.' Tartaglia brings Zhongli to yet another kiss.
