I walk into the guild holding hands with the blonde girl I call my girlfriend. She had confessed on our recent mission, which we had just now gotten back from. Well actually, we got back last night but it was too late to go to the guild so she had me stay over at her house.
Right when Mira saw our hands interlocked, she squealed. That squeal was enough to shatter glass and make any person go deaf. Well, any person but a Fairy Tail member. We're all used to it. It's the sound she makes when her ship comes true, which is a lot. I believe myself and Lucy makes this her 274th ship sailed. Yes, she keeps count, and I just so happened to sneak a peek at the tally sheet. And again yes, she has a score of successful ships behind the bar counter. I found it while I was hiding from Master's wrath. One of the usual brawls ended up destroying the guild hall once again, so Master made everyone involved clean it spotless. But then again, is that really a surprise?
"Lucy, Y/N, I demand to know EVERYTHING. When did this happen, how did this happen, and where did this happen?!" Mira demanded with stars in her eyes.
"I would like to know as well!" Erza said from her usual table, raising her left hand. Her right hand was occupied with a fork. As usual, she was devouring a piece of Mira's strawberry cake.
"Well . . ." Lucy said.
Flashback:
Y/N! Wanna go on a job?" Lucy asked me, waving a stamped request.
"Really? Y-Yeah sure!" I said.
"What's the matter? You okay?" She asked, suddenly worried.
"Yeah fine, why?" I asked.
"You stuttered," she said.
I had forgotten she was very observant. One of the perks of being a writer. She was always looking for inspiration to help her write her novel.
"Oh, well I'm just not very confident in my combat ability. My magic isn't that strong," I said.
I wouldn't call it lying because it's true, but it wasn't why I stuttered. I'm what Mira and Levy call a simp. Don't know where they got that term from, but apparently I "simp" for Lucy. Now, I do watch her out of the corner of my eye, and I do love her a lot, like SERIOUSLY love her, but I'm not obsessed! That title goes to Juvia. She's a legit stalker and we all know that. Heck even Gray knows it, and somehow they're now dating when at first he thought it creepy! How does that even work?!
"Don't ever say that Y/N, your magic is perfect and very helpful," she said, putting a hand on my shoulder to let me know she meant it.
"Thanks Lucy that means much more than you will ever know. So where are we meeting the client?" I asked, trying to keep my cool.
"Clover," she said.
"Well thank god you didn't take little miss Pinkie Pie over there. The train ride to Clover is the only way to get there," I said.
"Oi! What'd you say, you snot!" Natsu suddenly yelled.
"I called you little miss Pinkie Pie, you Pyro!" I yelled back with a tick mark on my forehead, "And for your information green is the best color in the world!"
I wear green all the time, because obviously green is superior. Not like red or white, which are Pyro's and Stripper's colors.
"No it ain't! Red is! You look like moldy cheese!" He said, igniting his fists.
"Well you look like a hobo!" I yelled back, summoning forth my forest god magic. My hand turned into a strong log of wood. Kind of like Gajeel's iron club but different.
"You didn't deny it!" He laughed.
"You didn't either!" I retorted.
I lunged at him but was quickly caught by Lucy as she grabbed by collar.
"Come on lemme fight him!" I whined as I deactivated my magic.
"Y/N the job," she sweat dropped.
"Right sorry, I'll pack now," I said and left, ignoring the calls from Natsu about fighting him.
At Clover's Inn:
We just met with the client and he gave us a free room each. He told us to get some rest because the remnants of the strange creature attacking this place can only be seen at night. I plopped onto the bed, thinking about what I did.
"Shit, why did I accept this job?! I'm gonna totally embarrass myself in front of Lucy and never get the guts to talk with her again!" I whined to myself.
"If I never talk to her again then how am I supposed to get closer to her? I can kiss my chances at dating her goodbye. I at least want to know if she's a lesbian! I won't get that far will I," I grumbled into the pillow.
I decided to just fall asleep, because mourning about it when it already happened wasn't going to get me anywhere.
At Night:
We just finished our job. The creature terrifying this place was called a Lunar Spirit. She had been roaming the town looking for a person. Apparently the girl had died and still had a wish. The moon has a phase that only happens in Clover where it changes color for a week, and if anyone dies during that week, it will turn any new soul that had an unfulfilled wish into a visible spirit so they can fulfill it and move on. We helped the girl fulfill her wish and she passed on to the next world. She can now rest peacefully.
Lucy and I went back to the client and collected our reward. Now I know why Lucy chose this job. Part of the reward was a celestial key. It was silver, but Lucy didn't care. She said she would make the contract when we got back home. We slept in the rooms.
It was now daytime and Lucy and I had an hour before the train left. We decided to get some food. Lucy was in front of me, holding Plue, as we searched for a place to eat. I saw many people our age, both boys and girls, looking at her. They must have seen her Sorcerer Weekly photos. She did a collab with Mira last week, so the issue should have been published two days ago. And let me say, I bought 3 copies. Okay, maybe I do simp for her a little. I can't help it! She looked so hot in each photo!
Now, I won't say I got jealous of the looks they were giving her, but um . . . okay fine yeah, I got jealous. I secretly used my magic and grew the stone of the ground a little every time someone looked at her, so that they would trip and fall. I was fuming by the time we found a good restaurant, but as soon as she looked back at me, I was happy again.
We went in and sat down. She looked uncomfortable for a moment, and at first I was upset because I thought I did something to make her feel that way. I asked her what was wrong.
"Y/N, do you . . . like me?" She asked.
I was shocked. How did she know?! Did she see me use my magic back there?! Crap, what am I supposed to say now?!
She laughed. I must have looked really panicked.
"Y/N don't look so shocked. I overheard you yesterday talking to yourself. I didn't know you felt that way about me. I'm honored," she smiled.
I looked down in embarrassment.
"S-So . . .?" I asked, trying to speed this along.
"Right, sorry. Well I wanted to say that I like you too! And I was wondering if we could consider this a date?" She closed her eyes and winced, preparing for a no.
"Really? Yeah that'd be awesome!" I said.
She relaxed.
"Great! Let's get to know each other! Well, as if we don't know about each other already," she giggled. I laughed.
End of Flashback:
"That's so cute! But when did you become a couple?" Levy asked.
"On the train. I asked her and she said yes!" I said.
"Simp~" Levy and Mira teased.
"Oh come on! Snot Face got a girl before I could?!" Natsu said, annoyed.
"Yeah, I did! Jealous, Pyro?" I asked smugly.
Lucy sighed and laughed. Everything was just how we left it, except for our relationship status of course. And I'm loving it all.
