Talon has been suffering in silence for over a year since the passing of his wife and only son at the hands of a group of terrible people. When Talon—currently going by his real name, Seth—shows up on her community's doorstep looking for something different, she's hesitant to accept him into their fold. The community is a haven for former criminals, but this man feels a lot more broken than their average occupant.
The two of them have an undeniable attraction, but that's all it can be. A blip in time where they use each other's bodies to feel better. Nothing more.
