OOOOO

(Continuation from Chapter 9 part 2)

OOOOO

After the shared revelation about the hidden existence of the Magicals, the four of them all agreed that they will teach the young mages, which they also agreed to dub them as 'Sparks' to call the young ones of children and teenagers, and they'll help them with everything they need to learn and know upon honing their magic and harnessing it to advanced levels so that they'll be able to protect themselves and also defend for their group.

And--needless to say--the young magical teens were all delighted and happy upon the other three mages revealing that they also have the same kind of powerful magic, just as Helen does, and are willing to teach them everything to harnessing their special skills as well as using it wisely to protect and defend for the survival of their whole group.

However, they were not pleased with the fact that their Mundane friends also know about the Mages and everything about Magicals, but they were relieved upon being reassured of the fact that they're truly good people and not of the prejudiced kind at all, just like how Charlotte, little Lou, Madi, and Jordan are upon discovering about magic and they were okay and alright with it when they found out. In fact, it comforted them that upon being told of their histories and family stories of their race of Magicals and what they've gone through from the Witch Hunts and everything, they all empathized with them on the kinds of harrowing ordeals they went through and they all became close friends and family once the Mundane group was accepted into the Mage's group.

After those recent matters have been settled, besides prioritizing their food and water, taking care of supplies and each other, as well as preparing for their week's coming deadline into leaving the temporary safe place again, the Mages took the spare time whenever they can to teach the new young mages for what they need to learn and know upon harnessing the magic.

And it won't take long for them to harness and hone their special skills well and good until they reached the same advanced levels as Helen and her three magical friends have too.

OOOOO

It seemed too fast and quick as the time passed on and it's now the fifth day by then, only two more days before the week's deadline as they plan and prepare to leave their temporary safe place and journey out there onto the monster-infected world again to another safe place out there in the unknown.

And the young 'Spark' mages took to learning and harnessing the magic from their older and wiser magic-advanced teachers similar to how fledgling ducks easily take to swimming on the water.

For the four experienced and wiser mages, it was refreshing and also amusing to teach the young ones into wielding and using magic wisely and very well so that they'll be able to protect and defend themselves, even for their group, for their necessity of survival throughout this monster apocalypse.

And the reason being why it's also amusing upon teaching them through their magic lessons, was because Jake was the only one who seemed to have problems upon honing his special magic skills into growing for the next levels, but it's like the magical energy within him is combating against his desires and switching to other negative results more than he intended to.

Neville, who used to have similar problems like Jake in the past, took over into comforting and reassuring him that he'll be able to get it right and use magic as well as they do, but he tried to stop Jake from getting too frustrated and might end up harming himself even more if he pushed too hard in wielding his magic for better results or something.

Thus, that's what he's doing on that very fifth day into avoiding Jake from getting too frustrated and annoyed when he and his 'Spark' friends and sister were learning and practicing the summoning spell by a silent gesture.

Neville cautioned Jake anxiously, "Now remember, not only do you have to put focus and intent into summoning an object right to you, but you also need to put feeling into it as well but not too--!"

However, Jake didn't heed his teacher's warning when he seemed to snap and shouted out verbally. {ACCIO!}

And his own stick, which they were given each for their magic summoning lesson, flew at great speeds and hit Jake right on the face, nearly breaking his nose with a slight sound crack and he cried out in pain, both hands flying up to his instant bleeding nose as the summoned stick dropped down to the ground like a dead rock.

"--much of it," Neville finished with a visible wince and he and Luna quickly went to Jake's side and fussed over his new injury and Jake seemed to moan and lament over it like he didn't want to get injured again after he fully recovered from his healed foot and small cold illness the day before.

"Hmm...I think Jake actually put too much intent, rather than feeling into it, Neville," Draco remarked dryly when he snapped his head around upon hearing the pained cry and relaxed when he saw that it was only Jake who got hit from his own hard-headed mistake. Bellamy, Jack, and Jill tried to hold back their amusement upon seeing what happened, but Jake's sister Jane and Murphy had no qualms about holding back as they burst out laughing for the poor nose-bleeding boy.

"Ohh, this really hurts! Is it broken? Please don't tell me it's broken, Miss Doc/Healer--I just got upright and feeling good after my foot and cold got healed and completely okay!" Jake cried, dramatically groaning and moaning, sounding like he's trying to hide his pride and ego being hurt more than his physical injury and not letting the others know about it.

Luna finished inspecting his nose, stopping it from bleeding more by carefully stuffing cotton upon it and placed a paste-like cream all over his nose to heal the pain, as she said calmly, "Good news is that your nose isn't broken at all but the bad news is that you're sitting down and resting in case of a possible concussion. That flying stick hit you really hard on the head when you summoned it right at you with too much intent, as Draco said it did."

"Ohh, man! I can't be benched, Healer Luna!" Jake instantly complained, wincing a bit from the slightly sharp but now dulling pain from his hurt stuffed-up nose. "I was going to go out on a hunting run with Prof. Draco, Jack, Jill, and Bellamy!"

"Well, you heard her. Healer's orders. You, Jake, are staying!" Draco snapped at him firmly, not at all phased or impressed with Jake calling him 'Professor' upon flattering him.

The blond mage looked around like he's selecting who to choose and replace Jake's spot for the hunting run and he ignored Neville's expectant look and Octavia's eager pleading one as he calmly turned to look right at the person he decided to bring and asked, "Murphy, you up for it?"

Upon hearing that he's been chosen, Murphy instantly stood up, while taking his shotgun, trying to hold back his giddy excitement as he cried out. "Hell yeah, I am!"

Draco internally rolled his eyes at Murphy's antics but he glared pointedly calm at Neville and Octavia who looked a bit offended and were about to protest upon wanting to come along too but he stopped them before they could even get the chance to speak out. "Listen, you two need to watch out for the others and keep an eye out in case there might be something worse lurking in the forests beside the Night-Sky Terrors and those Mantis monsters. We could use some extra pairs of eyes to watch our backs in case something might go wrong during our hunting run. Is that clear?"

Octavia nodded vigorously like she's happy that she's got something to do at least, even if it's only lookout duty, but Neville still looked a little upset and hurt that he's not going with them outside so that he might get another chance to gather more herbs, necessary for medicinal purposes or making more magic potions for them. However, Neville nodded and hang back, showing Draco that he'll follow his orders and stay behind and look out for them, both inside and also out there.

Draco nodded with satisfaction that Neville listened to him and he glanced to check on Luna and Helen and saw that they're content into staying as well as Helen plays with the children with a warm gentle smile and Luna is sorting out the jars that they found before while checking out the abandoned secure building. After he finished checking, he turned and leads the way while the others followed behind him on their hunting run out there.

All of them were equipped with the special kind of magical weapons, still the same with the rifle gun and shotgun for Bellamy and Murphy, and the sword-cane for Draco, but for the two young magical 'Sparks' teenagers, they were given magic weapons by Draco, much to their delight, a rifle gun similar to Bellamy's for Jack and a longbow and quiver of arrows similar to Octavia's for Jill.

They went into another side of the monster-infested forests, somewhere in the western side, that's near the plains where Jack and his teen sister and friends drove through before, and distantly away from where the Mantis monsters are lurking about, but they all stayed alert and kept being on guard in case something else might come out hiding in the shadows or lurking behind any cover and attack them.

Despite that there is nothing so far, they're not letting down their guard anytime soon, even with Draco already putting some sort of magic radar that will alert him quickly of any threats or dangers incoming. However, Draco managed to ease and cool down the high-risk tension by also teaching the young teens other magic lessons that they need to learn and know too.

"You two, pay attention--I'm not going to repeat this twice. This is essential not only for your survival but also for others too, got it?" Draco said in a warning stern tone to the Jewish siblings. Jack and Jill nodded seriously at him, showing that they're listening and eager to learn what Draco will be teaching them in their hunting outing.

Both Bellamy and Murphy were amused that Draco is being serious about this, on letting the teens learn these kinds of magic lessons, even in front of them but they don't mind as they also like watching this and knowing about magic and everything. They watched and listened to Draco teaching the two younger teens about how to navigate and know how to locate or search for something that is important with a useful magic spell called {Point Me--} but they need to be specific on the kinds of objects or the people they need to locate or search for this spell to work accurately.

While Bellamy and Murphy watched as they also kept their eyes out for any kinds of wild animals that are surviving in the forests for food that they're all hunting, Draco is demonstrating visually how the magic pointing spell could not work if you're not accurate about it.

"Observe. {Point me Safety}" Draco intoned casting with a slight wave movement of his right hand onto the slightly unused compass that appeared on the other hand for Jack and Jill to look and see. Both teens saw that the arrow is pointing wildly and all around like it's trying to search for what Draco said upon pointing to whatever 'safety' it's talking about before it finally stops to a standstill and they're surprised when the compass needles transform themselves into a question mark like its really confused on where it needs to point to.

Draco explained in a grim serious tone. "As you can see, the spell won't work if you're not truly accurate or very specific on the kind that you're looking or searching for. So you need to be careful in what location, object, or person that you're looking for or into because it will get you lost and killed in a way if you're not."

Jack nodded like he also understood Draco's serious statement on this but Jill looked worried upon realizing something and asked, "But--does that mean the warehouse building we're staying in, isn't safe too?"

Draco quickly reassured her before Jill's brother Jack thought the worst. "Don't worry, it's only temporary. We will be able to stay there safely and securely for about a week. But we're making preparations upon setting out into another journey through this monstrous world again."

Bellamy added in, helping Draco out to reassure them. "The trailer vehicle that you guys drove into, Draco said he's making magical improvements for all of us to fit and travel into when we set off in that journey soon. You don't need to worry about it since they got everything under control."

"Hopefully, they will fix it soon before we get eaten," Murphy snorted, muttering to himself and Draco and Bellamy instantly turned and glared at him upon saying that and hoped that the two teens didn't, which fortunately they didn't hear him utter that statement.
