Calum shut the back door and hurried to the front door
"Wh-who is it?" He squeaked.
"Its me" it was the girls voice. The one who came in his house. "I just wanted to come say I'm sorry for just barging in there like that. I made you a cake" she continued. Calum contemplated but opened the door a crack, just enough to peak out at her. She was as gorgeous as ever.
"C-could you help me?" He asked shakily. The girl smiled
"Yeah, what's up? I'm Rachel by the way"
"M-my dog, Dizzy. She won't cone inside. I-i can't go get her, Rachel. Will you help me?" He asked, desperately. Rachel was a bit skeptical, wondering why he couldn't simply go out and get the dog. Why he didn't leave his house ever. Perhaps he was some serial killer who only left at night. Just then, a small dog yipped at his feet, and he was removed from the door a bit to pick him it up
"This is Benji, Dizzy's brother. Y-you could pet him if you wanted" he offered, holding the dog out the door. Rachel took it into her arms and strokes it lightly
"He's cute. But I can't exactly get Dizzy from outside your door" Calum nodded and opened the door wider. When Rachel entered he was shaking like a leaf.
"Can I set this down?" She asked, motioning to the cake in her hand. Calum pointed to the counter with a shaking hand. Rachel set the cake on the counter and the dog on the floor. She then exited his back door and looked around until she saw a small white dog digging in the corner
"Dizzy!" She called, patting her thighs "here girl!" Dizzy raised her head and wagged her tail. She trotted over to Rachel, carrying a small rock proudly. Rachel lifted her up and brought her in
"Here she is!" She said, holding the dog out to Calum. Calum took her and held her close
"Oh please don't do that anymore!" He whispered to the dog gently.
"Do you need anything else?" Rachel asked softly. Calum shook his head
"Thank you." He whispered. Rachel nodded
"Hey, I never got your name" she said as she was about to leave.
"My name is Calum"
