I was sat at my desk reading one of my medical journals after finishing of my paperwork as I waited for Esme to come back from hunting, "Jasper" I spoke across the rare silence that had fallen over the house, my door slowly opened and my oldest but newest son entered "is everything alright" as he entered I felt confusion take over me
"Carlisle do you know how someone could have a certain effect on my thurst"
"I am sorry Jasper I don't understand what you are asking" Jasper was not one to be cryptic, so his actions were foreign to me
"This girl at school, when I saw her my thurst completely disappeared and I can't stop thinking about her, why Dad"
Jasper only called me dad when like most of my children when he was upset "well Jasper how does she make you feel"
"Happy, calm uh... I don't know, why please tell me"
"Well Jasper I think you already know"
"She is my mate" it was more of a question than a statement but the sentiment was still there
"Yes, now what's her name" I was glad that jasper had finally found someone and was curious about who she was
