Hendery's POV
My alarm clock rang and I dragged myself out of bed before heading to the bathroom to wash up. I went down to the dining room for my breakfast and my dad was there.
I sat down opposite him and he looked over at me. " Hendery, I have a friend who became the Dean of a university in Canada. Do you want to- " Before he could finish his sentence, I cut him off.
" No. " I calmly ate my food.
He let out a sigh, " Going to that university for further studies is a once in a life time opportunity. " I ignored him.
He was about to continue nagging when I stood up, bowed slightly before taking my bag and leaving the house.
Ever since the accident, my relationship with my dad worsened. Our relationship wasn't even strong to start off. The only time he ever cared for me was when he wants to make a decision for me.
He didn't care about my opinion.
What he said or suggest is his final decision.
I'm not even surprised if he already told his friend that I'm going to Canada after high school.
I was walking to the bus stop when I saw Yulbin walking ahead of me. " Maria, maria, maria, maria- " She was singing and dancing while walking.
I sneaked a chuckle as I continued walking behind her quietly. When I got to the bus stop, we boarded the same bus but I sat way ahead of her.
When it's our turn to get off, I turned around to see her sleeping. " Excuse me, can you ask that girl to get up? but don't tell her I'm the one who told you. " I had to ask a random passenger for help before getting off.
" Another student is getting off. " I told the bus driver before continuing my walk to school.
I walked into the classroom and I head over to the mini mart to get a drink. " Hendery! " I looked behind to see Jooyeon running over to me.
She pulled me into a hug, " What are you getting? "
I took a banana milk out of the fridge, " This. " I paid for it before leaving the mart with Jooyeon clinging onto me.
" I can't believe we've been dating for like, a few months now. What should we do for our 6 months anniversary? " She smiled.
I cleared my throat, " It's only our forth month. We can think about it then. " She nodded.
" I'll walk you to your class. " She shook her head.
She tiptoed to ruffle my hair while giggling, " It's okay. I can get there myself. " She smiled before walking off.
Like I've said, Jooyeon is a very nice girl. Honestly, any guy is lucky to date her but it's a pity because I'm planning to break up with her after our exams.
She's great and all but it's nothing when I don't have feelings for her.
I know I'm trash for using her. That's why I decided to break up only after our exams.
The National exam will begin in a month time and it will also end in a month time. That was also the reason why I told her not to think about our 6th month anniversary yet.
Everyday I live in guilt but all I could do was apologise. " I told you I look good! You're just salty because you didn't get a makeover. " I looked up from my seat to see Hwiyoung walking in with Yulbin.
Yulbin scoffed, " I don't need a makeover to look good. I already look good. " I smiled slightly.
" Whatever. If I'm you, I'd be jealous of me too. " She kicked him on the shin and he fell to the ground causing him to curse at her.
He walked to his seat. Coincidentally, he sits right next to me. " Nice hair. " The guy in front of me told him and he smiled.
" Thanks, I know. " They burst into laughter.
There's lots of times when I wanted to join in on their fun but I don't want to seem like an extra. I know that my friendship with Hwiyoung and Yulbin is almost non-existent now.
I calmly read through my textbook when the guy in front of me turned around. " Hen, what do you think of Hwiyoung's hairstyle? " I looked over at him.
" It's good. He looks neater now. " He scoffed.
" I just have really messy curls that made to look as if I'm messy but i'm actually really neat. I comb my hair 100 times every morning. " I sneaked a laugh.
Hwiyoung scoffed, " Did he just laughed? "
It was PE time again. Today we all came dressed in our sports attire. I walked over to the sports hall since it's raining outside today.
Everyone gathered in the sports hall and coincidentally, Jooyeon's class is merging with our's today. " We'll play Volleyball today. " The teacher said.
We were split into teams. I sat on the bench as Yulbin's team went up against Jooyeon's.
The game started and throughout the entire game, my eyes were only on Yulbin. " Are you that into your girlfriend? " Guys were teasing me, thinking that I was looking at Jooyeon.
All I could do was to force a smile.
Yulbin's POV
When the last bell for the day rang, I felt delighted. I've never felt this happy in my life in such a long time, today was just so dreading.
" Let's go home! " I stood in front of Hwiyoung's desk as I waited for him to pack up.
He sneered, " Can't you wait? " I scoffed.
After a decade, Hwiyoung is finally done packing and we waited for Hyunsuk outside of our classroom. " Oh! " I screamed.
Hwiyoung nudged me, " I am so tempted to take your mouth and throw you out of the window right now. You're so embarrassing! " I ignored him as I took a book out of my bag.
" I borrowed this previously. I'm going to return it first. " He nodded and I went over to the library to return my book.
Bloop!
The book slide through the book returning compartment. I was about to leave when I overheard a conversation. " You like her don't you, Lee Yulbin. " I furrowed my brows.
Someone actually like me?
Gasp.
I peeped my head out of the wall and my smile faded when I saw Jooyeon and Hendery. " Answer me, do you like her? " I bit my lips.
He sighed before nodding. " I do. " At that moment, I felt as if my heart is about to explode.
Jooyeon got teary, " Since when? "
" Since we were little. " Hendery replied.
She scoffed, " Then why did you even date me? Why did you accept me even though you know that the person you like is Lee Yulbin! " She raised her voice.
Hendery just stood there in silence.
Jooyeon nodded before storming off but Hendery just stood there in silence.
I let out a sigh before walking down to meet Hwiyoung and Hyunsuk. " There she is! Slowpoke! " Hwiyoung said while judging me.
I point a middle finger at him, " What took you so long? " I ignored him as we continued walking.
We got to the bus stop and Hwiyoung suddenly chuckled. " My prayers have been heard. Seeing that couple makes me wanna- " I nudged him.
Our bus came so we bid Hyunsuk goodbye before getting onto the bus. Throughout the bus ride, I was hesitating if I should tell Hwiyoung about what I heard.
In the end, I chose not to tell him.
I was about to enter my house when Hwiyoung called out to me. " I don't know the heck happened to you today but you can always message me. I'd just block you. " I chuckled while nodding.
We bid goodbye and I went straight up to my room.
There's so much in my head right now that I'm so lost. I looked up at the time calculator I have in front of me, showing the number of days I have left till our exams.
